An eclectic neighborhood gem. Food was excellent, great happy hour deals, and by far the most welcoming down to earth guys. Brian and Dean are so nice. You don't find the Midwest hospitality everywhere but you will here! Indiana 😉

Happy hour 4:00-6:00, excellent small plates. Lobster Mac and Cheese includes shaved parmesan reggiano which gives it a wonderful flavor. The fillet wrapped in bacon, yum!

They have a new happy hour! 4-6 pm with small bites and drinks! Fun Star Wars themed place with a kind waitstaff that was good with our 8 yo daughter. Will come back!

Our server was lovely. Tomato basil lobster bisque was fantastic! Caprese grilled cheese and filet were also very good!

If there was an award for coolest bathroom on Earth, these guys would win. The restaurant has the right amount of whimsy and Epicurean Fair. The food is truly excellent and the staff is absolutely first rate. Brian was our bartender and waiter and he made our experience truly memorable and one that I will do again. This restaurant is small so I would recommend making a reservation so you can get a table. Without a reservation I would suggest coming early and asking to sit at the bar as your best bet.

Went there with my family out of the blue. They accommodated my large party with no problem. Being visiting from miami I don't know the area to well. They treated us amazing and the food was great!!! They made my first father's day one to remember!!!! Very nice staff and great food....

The owner and atmosphere were fantastic. Our favorite was the tomato and lobster bisque. We also enjoyed all the Star Wars decor.

We just went back for our third visit to this place. Love it just as much, if not more, than ever. We got there before opening, but we're tired and begging for AC. The owners graciously allowed our party in early. The food was as great as we remebered and the gentlemen taking care of us, even more so. The ONLY bad thing I have to say is that, no one in the party liked the banana salsa, I think it may have ruined a great fish. Everything else was excellent::::We were there about 10,11 years ago for our wedding anniversary and absolutely loved the food. We took an extra full order of their lobster Mac home with us that night. We're staying in Marathon this time but drove down to go back there. The food was just as good as we remembered, even though their location changed. Even bought another extra order of lobster Mac home. Excellent staff too. Just nice people and great food

This one is painful as I want all small Key West restaurants to be successful. We were here a couple years ago and were anxious to come back. The trio appetizer was great. Neither of the main courses were something we'd ever get again. As the sun dropped at 645ish, the light shined through the window and there was lipstick (not my wife's) on my water glass. Sorry guys but for $250, inclusive of a bottle of wine and tip, this is not acceptable. We did inform our waiter of this issue, and he was great by the way. Sorry guys but, we won't be back. Jake

Fun, weird quirky place. Star Wars X-wing fighters hanging from the ceiling. X-men comic book and a Wolverine action figure hanging on the wall. Yet this place still pulls off a romantic vibe. Not easy to find the place I think that might be intentional. It’s almost like they dare you to eat there, if you can find it. Key west is loaded with great restaurants. This was our favorite of them all. A party of two, I couldn’t decide between the snapper and the tasting trio. They were nice enough to swap out the grouper with the snapper. My date had the tasting trio with the grouper and we shared the appetizer tasting trio. Everything was delicious. Don’t miss out on the lobster Mac and cheese it is the way of the Jedi.

The portions are very small ( appetizer size) and not worth the price. We got the scallops wrapped in bacon and the trio combo and both were good but very small.

Not worth the price at all. Was expecting a more higher quality meal for the price & how many amazing reviews we’ve seen. The portion sizes are tiny compared to how much the price is. We got the lobster Mac and cheese app. However I would say it did taste fairly good but (Do not share because it’s barely enough for 1 and 28$). We also got the lobster tomato soup with grilled cheese which sounded fun and unique but tasted like a can of tomato sauce and the grilled cheese wasn’t even toasted… The trio of entrees was tiny in portion size, and the strangest flavors mixed together that did not complement well. I would say the quality was low, and the fish was dry. The shrimp we got was good, so if anything you order there I was say that’s your best bet.

After making our reservation for the wrong day we showed up to no table for us. We were graciously offered bar seating and it actually turned out better than table service. This meal was far and away the best meal we had during our week in Key West. From the appetizer to the entree to the desert to the wine recommendation, everything was spectacular. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was top notch. Just a spectacular and memorable meal.

This place is a must visit in Key West! The food is incredible, the staff amazing, and the wine selection superb. We had the Coconut Shrimp Red Curry and the Three Way Filet Chili. The chocolate adds a dimension to the chili that is unexpectedly and fantastically delicious. The red curry has a kick that's not too hot for my delicate palate and the crusted coconut shrimp is not to be missed. I personally am obsessed with Tempranillo. Theirs does not disappoint. Pick up a bottle with dinner and you're all set. A gem just off Duvall. Do not pass go. Come for the food. Stay for the Star Wars.

Not what I expected going by its name, but I was pleasantly surprised. Expected more of an upbeat party style restaurant. I mean, really, the Flaming Buoy?! Lots of great reviews. But no one mentioned it was a low-key, high-end restaurant. However, the atmosphere was great and the food was absolutely amazing.

Three stars for the balance of portion size to cost. $113 got me the scallop appetizer, the surf and turf daily special and one glass of wine. This cost would have been acceptable had they served even average sized dishes. The scallops used in the appetizer were either small (or more likely a single scallop cut). You received two (one cut scallop). The filet on the surf and turf was three ounces max. I made three bites out of it, and they were small bites. The lobster thermidor had great flavor, but you only got the tail. I'm all for quality food costing a premium, but here they take advantage of premium pricing. I'm all for a nice meal, but not when it feels like you're being taken advantage of.

We walked up, no reservations. the staff notified and asked if we needed anything, when we asked about a table they asked if we had reservations. When we said no, they looked up the weather to make sure sitting outside would be appropriate. They allowed us to sit outside. The food and service was amazing. We had 4 people walk by while we were waiting for our table and everyone said they loved a different dish, we knew we found our spot for dinner. Also a ton of cool star wars merch. Can't recommend this place enough. ❤️🤘

Incredible. Please visit. Nice low key spot with attentive bartenders/servers who kinda run the whole joint. Some unique Star wars memorabilia adorn throughout. Super relaxed atmosphere with a unique take on some classics that are incredibly flavorful and delicious.

Went here before a movie at The Tropic because it’s right next door. Loved it! The special was a watermelon ceviche…delish! My husband got the chili with chocolate! Imagine that! Also delicious. The beef with spicy noodles was to die for. I had the catch of the day over a salad and was very happy. Awesome waiter as well. Can’t believe we’ve never been there before. Quaint and cozy with a small outdoor seating to watch passers-by and the vibrant street excitement! The menu is both eclectic and comfort food choices! I had the special bacon wrapped filet and lobster Thermador 🦞 with spinach salad 🥗 to start. Grilled corn on the cob and lobster mac and cheese to die for!

Great place with great food. We really liked all options there. Best grilled shrimp ever in particular. Owners are somewhat big fans of star wars, so the place has quite some themed locations including the restroom.

When I order Mac n cheese I expect traditional Mac n Cheese. Not penne Alfredo type pasta with some Lobster. The parmesan over powered the entree. Would love to see a traditional mac & cheese lobster on the menu. The chili 3 ways was so delicious!!!! Wish I would have ordered it. My friend did. We all tried it… mmmm so good! My husband got the fillet, is was delicious also.

We visit Key West a couple of times a year and we always make time to stop into The Flaming Bouy. Never have we been disappointed with any part of our experience- the service is gracious and the food is outstanding. Being from Ohio it’s nice to see the nod to Cincinnati Chili on the menu (and it’s delicious), but the perfect filet and gorgeous scallops are our go-tos. We threw in some of the noodles tonight and they did not disappoint. Thank you for an always delicious experience!

The food was very expensive compared to its portion size and quality. Wasn’t great. The atmosphere was weird - almost like they can’t decide if they’re a cool, trendy bar or an upscale restaurant. Staff was relatively inattentive but helpful when around. Broccoli was served with no seasoning and definitely not a worthy side to a $58 meal.

We went there for our 25 th Anniversary dinner. It was recommended by a bartender in Key West. I was told the food was great and , that recommendation did not disappoint. I’m from Los Angeles and this place is very reminiscent of LA. Great food, small portions but I need to stress GREAT FOOD!!!!!! The owner is a Star Wars fan, and so am I so I was in heaven. But let’s cut to the chase, the food was EXCEPTIONAL. Yes, EXCEPTIONAL!!!! Remember that!!!!

One of a kind experience!! Food was excellent,the atmosphere was superb! The service was on point with recommendations and extremely friendly! My girlfriend and I went in last Friday as soon as they opened. My girlfriend asked for a wine recommendation and gave a general description of what she likes and the gentleman made a wonderful choice and she drank it the whole time! I ordered the special which was a sampler of their popular entries,was amazing. Flavors were ridiculously amazing! The delicate fresh white flaky fish on mashed potatoes with the lime butter sauce was my favorite. My girlfriend got pink shrimp (best we had in key west,wood fire char was unbelievable) and the scallops wrapped in bacon over sweet potatoes (amazing!) And lobster Mac and cheese which could rival any lobster mac. She said it was her favorite ever! We will be going back when we visit next without a doubt! The group in there makes you feel like you are at home. Can't wait to get back! Fully recommend if you are looking for an amazing meal in a relaxed vibe out atmosphere with amazing service!!

We had a fantastic time at The Flaming Buoy. Staff were friendly and customer service was excellent. And we thought the bacon-wrapped scallops and the lobster mac and cheese were amazing!

We were in the mood for Grouper and came here for dinner one evening because their menu showed them having Grouper in a couple of styles. We actually walked past it, because the signage is basically just a sandwich board outfront, which we overlooked when walking by, but then we walked in… isn’t this place interesting?!?! A Star Wars theme with eclectic décor and an interesting version of Urban Gothic of the owner on the wall. We were quickly checked in and given a table in the window… nice view to see all the folks on Eaton near Duval enjoying the evening. The menu is extremely interesting, we later learned from our server (sorry for not remembering, but I think his name is Neil?) that the majority of the recipes are from family and friends. They had everything from Cincinnati-style chili on hot dogs (I saw them, they’re “Skyline” style too!!) to Italian to Thai… Normally I don’t do Pan-Asian joints, let alone joints that make and server everything, but this place seemed like the place to give in. We started with their trio appetizer (which seemed popular this evening, as other tables ordered it too) and I have to say that everything in it was excellent! The flavors of the lobster mac were the most robust of the three, but each were fresh and very nicely created. For my fav, it was a toss up between the lobster mac and the chimichurri shrimp… that chimichurri was excellent and the shrimp perfect flavored and grilled! Dinner for me consisted of their Thai red chili curried black grouper – Awesome! Such a huge portion too!! The Thai red chili curry was excellent and had one heck of a kick to it (then again, I asked for the kitchen to spike it up!) and the grouper was fresh and nicely brought to temp! The veggies, specifically the snow peas were so very good!! Wifey ordered the seafood marinara, as she loves a really good gremolata and this one not only didn’t disappoint, she fell in love with it, INSTANTLY!! She couldn’t stop enjoying it, even though there was so much food, half was all she needed… she kept on going! We both really enjoyed everything about Flaming Buoy – The service, the menu, the food, and most definitely the wine list! They have a very nice wine list, which isn’t too excessive with the mark up, but no cocktails… We do enjoy a nice cocktail before dinner, but we also enjoy wine to a greater extent, so we were disappointed.
