Wonderful restaurant and experience, fine dining in the beautiful TX hill country, where you don't have much other option besides bbq and diners. Delicious food. Extremely friendly and accomodating owner and staff, beautiful dining room and property, I highly recommend and can't wait to go back next time we're in the hill country.

Our group of women went for dinner Saturday night and had a wonderful time. Food and atmosphere and service was absolutely wonderful! One of the women had a gluten-free allergy and the chef accommodated her beautifully! Highly recommend the experience!

Delicious, delicate, & well crafted gourmet food in the Hill Country. The chef is a true artist, but more importantly, she visited every single table. The experience felt very personalized. It’s absolutely worth the drive from any of the major cities in Texas. Make sure to plan the visit because you have to make reservations.

It’s more of an experience, it’s not just food. Our 4-course meal was delicious and well-matched. The ambiance takes you to a French-inspired Texas Hill Country vibe. All 4 in our party were impressed and definitely enjoyed the 2 1/2 hours we spent here. We enjoyed the tastefully designed interior of the restaurant as well as all of the eclectic items outside. Unfortunately, I enjoyed the outside decor so much that I forgot to take pictures.

No response to reservations request even a month out. Looks like a lovely place.

Food was great atmosphere was great waitress was not had to ask for tea than she poured warm tea I to a glass with no ice had to ask her for ice at these prices wait staff really should be trained better this is why I gave it 4 out of 5

Came here today and all I can say is WOW. Everything was outstanding. The food was delicious and melted in your mouth. My dad and I are very picky eaters and we liked it here. Service was great. The best part is the treehouse and decorations!

My husband and I both love to cook and are often disappointed when eating out. That wasn’t the case here! This was probably one of the best meals we’ve ever had and for a more than fair price! From appetizer, entree to dessert I would not change ANYTHING. Just call and make a reservation, you won’t regret!

My wife and I celebrated our 50th anniversary with a "second honeymoon" trip to the Texas hill country. The Laurel Tree was an excellent choice for our anniversary dinner. This is truly a "destination event" with beautiful grounds and so much to see and enjoy. You should allow at least an hour to tour the grounds, they are very special. The owner chef, Lauren was very conscientious and helped us personally, answering questions when we were in the planning phase. She also personally visited everyone's table during the meal. The five course dinner was excellent "southern gourmet" fare with no expense spared on the food or the preparation. We provided our own Lost Maples Vineyard's "POLVADEAU VIN SYMPHONIQUE" wine. It was an anniversary gift that was the perfect pairing with our dinner selection of shrimp, jumbo crab, artichoke heart and 3 cheese gratin. Overall, an unforgettable meal for an unforgettable anniversary getaway. Thank You Lauren and the Laurel Tree staff.

This is my FAVORITE place to eat! The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is just perfect! I highly recommend it. I've gone here for many special occasions, and I've NEVER been disappointed! :) Laurel and her staff at the restaurant offer amazing customer service for a beautiful, relaxing, and unique dining experience! Check out the awesome treehouse dining room, built by the Treehouse Masters, and take a stroll on the lovely grounds before or after you eat. :)

I was wow-ed! Owner Chef, Laurel, has created a place of such charm and ambience that its hard to describe. My sweetheart booked the treehouse restaurant 4 months ago, and it was perfect for dinner and conversation with friends. The food was amazing, delicious and every bit as creative as the decor.

This is such a nice little place to visit on weekends! The tree house requires you to make a reservation ahead of time with rental fee! There is a restaurant building with couple of tables next to the treehouse. Everything served was so fresh, and amazing. Manager said that the menus change every season. We really enjoyed the visit!!

This dinner was a wonderful experience! From the wait staff, to the kitchen, all of it was tremendous. Well worth the price.

This place is reservation only and is only open on Saturdays for lunch and dinner. 4 course meal (this was for lunch) at a set price (with option of one out of two entrees). They will ask about dietary preferences to accomodate guests. I've been here 3 times and the menu was always different. Food is always excellent and the ambience is warm and cozy.

Have been there about 5 time have not got bad food yet really good place to eat

An absolutely amazing experience! The food was wonderful and is beyond compare. You could tase every flavor of the incredibly fresh ingredients. Each course was thoughtfully put together and had flavors that were quite complimentary. We weren't sure what to expect but all I can say is that we we're all blown away. Service was impeccable and the hospitality was overflowing. We had a lovely time exploring the grounds between courses on the gorgeous day we visited and left feeling speechless! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!

Reservation only! Five course dinner at The Laurel Tree by Head Chef Laurel Waters. The entire place was beautifully decorated with nutcrackers, evergreens, soft lights, red bows, and humongous Christmas ornaments hanging from the tree house. It was a romantic getaway for two food lovers. I'd have to say the appetizer and soup course stole the show for me. However, the overall experience/company outweighed the taste and cost of the meal.

The Laurel Tree has a quaint and unique vibe to it that is fitting for that occasion you're planning for . The food was great and the experience was even better. Ladies and Gentlemen you will not regret spending a weekend out in this area and dining at this place. It is by reservation only and reservations are usually a couple of months out so be sure to plan way ahead .

Fantastic Restaurant! Utopia is a darling town hidden in the Hill country. The Laurel Tree is one of the town's crown jewels. A great staff and chef always leads to a pleasant and fun evening! Neat architecture as well: the treehouse and overall design of the building are certainly unique to itself, in the best of ways. If you're looking for a new experience in the Texas hill country the Laurel tree is a must!

Thanks to friends I've known for 50 years, who live near The Laurel Tree. I have been going to The Laurel Tree at least one and sometimes two times a year since it opened. It NEVER disappoints. It is beautifully decorated, menus beautifully planned, prepared and delivered in a friendly and customer friendly way. Plan ahead and be sure to make your reservations. Your memories in the Texas Hill Country will be even more wonderful than ever with the addition of this lovely gem.

Regarding the lunch menu : The " Turkey Breast "on a Croissant with cheese,bacon,avocado was unfortunately limp and soggy. The turkey was actually thin slices , deli style. Other's did report the alternate lunch choice of Talapia was very good. The dessert of chocolate soup would not be our choice as it was very ,very sweet with nothing to offset the sweetness. Most in the group did not even consume half. Mousse would have been a better ,and heathier choice, if we have to consume "chocolate "for dessert. Coffee was barely warm. As usual the atmosphere and service was excellent.

Even in the main dining area, you will feel like you have stepped into another world. She's only open on Saturdays for lunch and dinner, so plan accordingly. Superb food - Great Atmosphere & totally worth the drive from our Vanderpool cabin!

I own my own limo company, today was the first time i brought a client here. I went inside to experience what they have to offer here and I am by far had one of the best restaurant experiences in a long time! The food was amazing! I read on the website about the chef. The background of the culinary experience is impressive. The service is outstanding as well as the views here! The owner comes out to speak with all her guest. I went ahead and reserved a spot for my wife in December. I was told thats the best time to come by when the tree is lit like a Christmas tree! See yall then!

Food is very good. Service is excellent. This was my second visit, 1st time was in the main restaurant, this time in the treehouse. Visits were almost 10 months apart. My vegetarian meal was exactly the same (no variation, no choices. Regular - non-vegetarian has 2 choices). Is it worth the $49 prix fix Dinner? Yes. Is it worth the $300 "Treehouse experience" plus the $49/plate price? No.

Great atmosphere and the food is out of this world. Highly recommend it.

Beautiful amazing experience... Made our anniversary even more special. I have never tasted food so amazing. I can't wait to go back! They must have taken that coffee comment to heart because it was amazing coffee with cream and a cute coffee cookie. Nothing disappointed and the staff is so lovely.

Beautifully-decorated restaurant; gorgeous grounds; yummy food. The owner is personable and welcoming. It's a relaxing experience and a memorable place to spend some time. Our only complaint was the coffee. With all the fabulous Texas coffee roasters, Laurel Tree needs to 'up their game' and offer gourmet coffee. Our coffee tasted like store-bought, cheap coffee (disappointing). Besides that, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. It's worth taking the time to go to this charming restaurant.

I was able to reserve a table (three weeks in advance) for my bride and I to enjoy lunch. We arrived early and freely toured the awesome (photo backdrops everywhere) grounds. From the moment we entered the restaurant till the time we left we were greeted and graciously accommodated by the staff.
