This place has changed for the better! Weekend brunch try the "Nico's" tamale breakfast! (Beef, pork or cheese), with over easy egg, ranchero sauce, black beans and green salad!

Staff is really funny and super nice. The happy hour menu is great.

Sweet little spot, delicious eats and drinks, friendly staff. They graciously welcomed our motorcycle collective after our chilly holiday ride and managed us well for only having one server that evening. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed this location.

One of our fave spots - been going to the Liberties for years, but need to write a review due to how awesome the staff is! I left my wallet on the table a couple weeks ago and they went above and beyond to get it back to me. Thank you!!

Decent food, decent cocktails, wonderful atmosphere

We held a celebration of life for my late mother in the back room at The Liberties and can't say enough good things. Staff was truly wonderful, food was great, and the bar is not only well stocked but the bartender knows his cocktails. Strongly recommend

I was very pleased to see poutine on the menu here, since I miss Canada, and I went to try it. It was quite good, although the gravy and the brisket both had a bit of a sweeter taste than I like (I personally prefer rich umami savoury without much sweet at all) but it was still quite good.

Its was very nice, loved the samosas and great fish & chips...

Helpful owner guided us to several nearby stores we needed. Helpings generous. My wife and I couldn't even finish off one BLT sandwich between us!

Caroline and Nico were amazing hosts to me today! Chicken thighs and tamale to go plus Ocho Tequila to calm my nerves from the crazy traffic were so so great!

Wednesdays from 5-7 have one of the best jazz jams in the city thanks to Mr Vic Wong. Good food and cocktails, friendly service, and great outdoor seating.

Was here for a drink and ended up getting some tacos as it was Taco Tuesday. Food was really good, as was the service. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

People are tight and the drinks are good, too bad the outdoor heating was funky and not working.

Went for Sunday brunch and got the Eggs Benedict with crab. Seriously one of the best eggs bennies I’ve had in a while. The eggs were perfectly poached, the potatoes liberally seasoned and crispy, and the plate was served with a generous helping of fresh fruit. They know what they’re doing with this dish. I’ll be back. :)

Went for drinks with work colleagues. No mojitos and don't know what a Singapore sling is... really?

The Liberties is a great neighborhood bar. The have amazing cocktails (barrel aged negronis) and some tasty food. The live music outside on Wednesdays is worth stopping by for too.

Great date spot in the mission - if you actually want to hear what your date is saying 😂 You wouldn’t think a Irish pub would be vegan friendly, but I love their beet salad, impossible burger, and tequila cocktails. One of the few places with kitchen open after 9pm. Great low-key brunch (try the breakfast pizza, you won’t regret it) with music. Hidden gem off Valencia st.

I love their weekend brunch. All but the omelettes are great. Lovely potatoes but only has brewed coffee. The food is way better than your average brunch spot and the best part is there's never a wait :)

Stopped by to meet a friend for a drink. Great variety of beer. Full bar. Something for everyone. Hadn't had dinner so I ordered some food. It was freshly made and delicious!! I ordered fish and chips and they were both made with just the right amount of crunch. It's hard to find a place that preps fish and chips like this place. Most make it too soggy. The service was excellnt too. My friend and I talked and talked way after the food and drinks were gone and they made us feel like we didn't have to rush to get out. Its the litte things that make a place so big!! Big on perfect drinks, food, and customer service. I highly recommend this place to anyone who just wants to unwind and kick it!!

Went for brunch; amazing! Loved the Mediterranean omelet and the breakfast pizza was good too.

Right across the street from a busy Sunday brunch spot, The Liberties had all the quality without any of the line. A nice homey neighborhood feel, they have live music every weekend. The food was spectacular for a bar! Will definitely be back.

Crazy Oscar night… was nice to watch it with a couple of pints on this rainy evening. Great spot of brunch and specially their Irish breakfast.

Our neighborhood bar has a great selection of beer and wine. Food is good too. Outdoor seating is available and live music once in a while. The staff is very friendly.

Very tasty Kale Caesar salad, the dressing was light and lemony. Grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup was good. The cocktails were excellent!

Unassumingly good brunch! Went here because Plain Jane was too packed, but we all had a great meal. The potatoes that come with the breakfast are perfect

The brunch is actually quite nice. Somehow people assume there's no brunch in a bar. I can get a seat at lunch time with no wait.

The Liberties is a great place, even better with the new parklet as of the pandemic. Location is great, drinks great, food better, people, the best. This review is probably a little weighted because it's walking distance from my house, but if I move from this neighborhood, I'll still find a way to get my Chipotle aioli fix. Try the tots, try the popcorn chicken, get the fried Brussels Sprouts. I've had almost everything on the menu, all packed with flavor! If you're meeting me there go ahead and order me a Bebida Sandía while you wait.

Wonderful bar with great atomosphere and food. The cocktail I had was Allie's Social Club and it was soooo delicious! Huffy was the best bartender and made amazing drinks while being hella cool!

I only had cocktails. The Paloma Express will whisk you to the Caribbean Sea. Shawn the bartender is both a superb mixologist and funny as hell. This location is also a PokeStop. Beautiful clean location.

I love this place, it’s my favorite spot to enjoy a cocktail and some nibbles. The staff is friendly, the drinks are all super delish, and oh my god the crab toast. It’s also a perfect stop going to or from the park. Love the new management, all of the drinks are unusual without being over complicated.

Always a great place for a gourmet burger and a beer! Doing a great job providing outdoor seating and the staff was so courteous. They gave me the wrong beer (I didn't even notice) and they brought me out the right one to go!

The plan was to stop for a drink on our way into the city centre. 3 hours later, we headed home having enjoyed some great beers, cocktails and food. What a great night. Order a drink, a couple of items off the menu to share, order another drink....repeat etc. All the food was well prepared and freshly made. Quesadillas, pizza, kale salad, calamari. All delicious. I dont understand why there are so few reviews of Liberties. Its a great place for local, casual dining in a friendly atmosphere.

Weekend brunch here was pretty good, and there was no wait at noon on a Sunday. Not sure why, since the drinks are great and Sunday specials were on par. The hollindaise sauce was tasty if a bit stingy, the breakfast pizza was built for two although the eggs were a bit hard for my taste, and the home fries are crispy. Try tots for the table and a bucket of mimosas. They take reservations, so no reason not to hit this place up regularly with a crowd.

Great chill place to eat have a drink watch a game. For me typically mid day after a workout. Staff is nice.

We are in town for a convention and decided to try a new place tonight. We found the restaurant through the Open Table App and really liked the menu so went over. When we got there and sat down, we saw that the menu online wasn’t accurate and many of the items we wanted to get weren’t available for purchase or had been taken off the menu. We were very disappointed about that but decided to stay there and try other things. We all ended up with the fish and chips plus a order of Brussel Sprouts which were very good, just not what we had originally had in mind. I suggest that the restaurant update their menus online ASAP

Great pizza & probably the best Tater Tots I have ever had. Nice bourbon selection as well

The burger was $17, kinda pricey but good.

The drinks were good. I had a glass of wine and my partner had beer. We took advantage of the happy hour food which included a chicken quesadilla and brussel sprouts. We also had a cheeseburger and a baby kale salad. The quesadilla was good, although it had all the tomato and avocado stuffed inside which seemed a little strange to me. The side of sour cream and jalapenos were served in little disposable cups which seems wasteful and unnecessary. The hamburger was a little over done to our liking, but could have been better if it were seasoned and had something to make the bun not dry. The brussel sprouts had a very interesting bacon sauce on top, that would have been good with just the bacon and not the sauce. All round the food needed a little work.

Local watering hole near Mission Dolores Park with excellent bar food and great drinks. Surprisingly family friendly with super service.

I reserved the place for my husband's birthday after reading the positive reviews. It sounded fun. I now realize It is a bar with food...not really a birthday dinner place. We waited a while (10 min) to be seated with no kne else waiting...we thought maybe there was no host at 6pm on a Friday so we wandered to the bar but as we did we were greeted from behind by the hostess. I specifically asked for a table or booth in our reservation (no bar or stools) but were sat up hight on a stooled table. I think they hardley looked at our reservation because it wasn't crowded...or because there were only two of us, the nice booth tables were reserved for 3 or more. I insisted on a table...our choices were either in the back with a family with children crawling everywhere or the table behind the hostess station. We took the non child option. Food was adequate. The drinks were good....alchohol, cava and beer, usually is. Even with happy hour prices we spent over $50...plus a tip. We weren't upset with the experience but we likely won't go back or even mention it to others.

The drinks were good and food tasty. The restaurant is very noticeably an Irish pub which is not super obvious (to me at least) from the pictures so not necessarily he best brunch place depending on the intention of the group.

I had been here before and have always had a great experience, but this time was by far the best. Our waitress wonderful, and it was only her 2nd day! She was very attentive, friendly, and very patient with our party - especially when we were divvying up the bill. The food was delicious, highly recommend the burger. The cocktail menu has a lot of options and all of us were pleased with our drink. My only bit of constructive criticism would be the table that we were sat at. It was a little awkwardly shaped for a big group that made it tricky to talk to someone that wasn't sitting right next to you.

Great meal. My book club has been enjoying our dinners and discussion for 5 years. Liberties continues to be fantastic and fun. Thank you!

Nice, unpretentious cocktail bar and lounge. I wouldn't call it a "pub" - it's more quiet and casual. There's even a nice seating area in the back where it's quieter. I haven't tried the food yet, but I really loved the barrel aged cocktails, especially the old fashioned.

Great local, casual spot with great happy hour options. Lots of parking nearby too, in case you have to drive. Service was spot-on and server was very attentive. Would definitely recommend and appreciate that it's not in the heart of the Mission.

This was my first time at Liberties but it won't be my last! Food was very good+ and service was perfect: friendly, timely and quick but not always interrupting the meal. As with a lot of San Francisco spots, parking can be an issue but the location is just a short walk from the 24th and Mission BART station. I'll be back!

Food and drinks were good. I wish the tables were cleaner. Furnishings in the upstairs room were tired.
