This is a beautiful place on the Sugar River to take your family! Loved listening to the live band and watching the kids and their parents playing in the river. Highly recommend!

Always a pretty and fun outdoor venue. Good food and drinks. Kid and pet friendly.

Beautiful green space with lots of tables and chairs to enjoy live music on Sundays (10-1 and 2-5). We really enjoyed the Thai food tent that was there. Not sure if it's there all the time or just because of the farmers market. Would definitely go back and try the food from the restaurant, though it didn't seem like there were many vegetarian options.

Great family place. It's a bit challenging to get food when it's busy, but still worth it!

Very unique experience. Great variety of food and treats as well as crafts etc. Relaxing grassy area with picnic tables and live music. Of course the bubbling creek/river topped it off. I’ll be sure to return.

Fantastic atmosphere! We have driven, bikes, and kayaked/SUPed here. Definitely recommend for a nice summer evening, particularly when there's live music.

Quaint venue with very friendly staff. Rather large creative drink menu with a craft brew store as well. If absolutely ridiculously sized pretzels are your thing, then you must visit. It was really good but it's like a square foot in size.

We love sharing The Mill with friends and family when they come to town. It's a hidden gem so close to Madison that instantly makes you relax upon arrival. The variety of activities offered throughout the year makes each visit unique and we LOVE that there's always music.

Great venue to sit and listen to music. They have a good variety of music genres. Paoli and an interesting small town.

Not bad. A bit more pizza selection would be nice. They seemed annoyed when I asked for a veggie pizza.

The Mill is actually a collection of several businesses adjacent to a park along the Sugar River. A small stage features free acts on weekends with a family friendly atmosphere. We've always seen three generations there. Although some chairs are provided, bring your own lawn chairs to be sure. Brews on site, a good selection of wines and drinks, and a taqueria are all right there, with pizza across the street. Just a pleasant, relaxing outdoor experience. The area keeps growing...7 Acre Dairy is open with a boutique set of rooms, ice cream parlor, restaurant and very expensive bar. Out back this winter was a modest Christkindlemarket that drew the biggest crowds we've ever seen in Paoli.

So unique, laid back and fun to be here. I'd love to see the live music sometime.

We love spending time with friends & family here at The Mill! Plenty of fun from splashing in the Sugar River, delicious food & ice cream to grabbing an Old Fashioned or cold beer. The outdoor space is great and relaxing, a hidden gem!

A wonderful spot to spend a few hours relaxing by the water, taking in a concert or enjoying a few beverages.

This is such a fun place for the whole family. We particularly love the ice cream and tacos!

Stopped by for a drink at Hop Garden because my husband has the Madison Pub Pass. Honestly my new favorite spot. Great space to get out and enjoy the fresh air while social distancing. Live music was playing as well. And it's not far from Prairie Moraine dog park, so I know we'll be back soon and with the pups in tow!

A beautiful and peaceful setting. The owner is super warm and friendly and hosts a variety of music and food.

A popular spot for a picnic along the Sugar River. Food is available from nearby businesses along with craft beer from Hop Garden. Food tents on Saturdays. Lots of room to spread out, bring your own chairs and a blanket or use the chairs and tables provided.

Very clean and reasonably quiet for the number of people there. Cute art stores, food is readilly available. Will be making this a frequent stop.

Very Caucasian..but fun!!It's Rural Wisconsin...

We had our wedding here, and it gets 4 stars for a couple of reasons: -the flexibility of the venue (allows you to bring your own alcohol, pick your own caterer, etc.) -location (near a good hotel, not too far outside Madison, plenty of parking, right on the river) -beautiful setting (the grounds and mill are beautiful!) -accommodations if you want them (airbnb upstairs and across the street, getting ready room, etc.) It is outdoors, so all the usual Wisconsin weather factors come into play. Our wedding had heat and bugs, because...it was July in Wisconsin so of course it did! The venue coordinator is super friendly and laid back. If you're looking for someone chill who can throw together anything last minute, she's very experienced.

Had a very nice time. Great atmosphere and the music was great.
