Hard to find good Mexican food, coming from Tucson AZ. Stumbled upon this spot only open one day a week and fell in love. Seems they typically do catering, hence the one-day-a-week opening. In a commercial office building, not a typical restaurant location, so I was a little skeptical at first. Very friendly and courteous owner and the food was spot on. Had 3 tacos with all different meats, rice and beans, guac, and chips and couldn't be happier. I'll for sure be back and go for the hottest sauce next time.

This place is a hidden gem! Very clean, smells absolutely incredible inside and the food is AMAZING! Definitely worth checking out, the owners are very nice as well. :)

Excellent service from a young man behind the counter, Tosh! He was very polite and courteous! I ordered the breakfast burrito, and I did not have to wait long before it was ready! The flavorings and atmosphere of the place give you a taste of true Tex-Mex food! You can tell they love what they do, and you can taste the authenticity in the food. They did an amazing job!

Had a wonderful lunch at The Mitt! If you love family owned places this is the perfect spot for you. Owned by a lovely couple, with help from their family, The Mitt is a cozy and welcoming environment. The food was fantastic, the rice extremely flavorful and many options to add to the tacos to customize it was great. Honestly I would go back just for those stone ground chips and queso. Their support for local artists is also heart warming with cute merchandise out on the counter. I will be going back to test their soon I mean who doesn’t want a churro waffle??

Traffic was not too busy as we wanted to arrive in the earlier part of the day when they first opened. Located in one of the many office buildings off Butler Boulevard to Salisbury Road, Waze easily navigated us to our destination. Their entrance/location was nestled next to the front door of the office building they are located and easily seen from the parking lot with more than sufficient spaces to accommodate any lunch rush. First thing I noted upon entering was the enticing aroma that filled the restaurant. I was warmly greeted by the owner, Enie, who checked us off her list. We requested one each of the two different Mitt Breakfast Tacos for our Combo which they immediately began preparing for us to take togo in addition to ordering a Quesadilla which generally "travels well" for later LOL ! The Breakfast Tacos were still warm when we arrived home and with their freshly prepared salsa both were delicious. I ended up favoring the Chorizo over the other. The Quesadilla was also good and I look forward to trying their other selections in the very near future in addition to their hotter salsa for "my preference".

Really loved this place. We ordered catering for pick up. Their Mitt box was ready in perfect time, everything was delicious. A very big hit with everyone too! Plan to use them in the future!

It is family owned and operated and the food is superb. It is a little pricey but the food is good quality so I feel it's worth it. It's always clean and cute inside.

I had no idea about this little quaint restaurant before I was invited to go not too long ago. I was very pleased with the cute little atmosphere and the staff was awesome! The icing on the cake, was that the food was very tasty! I'll definitely be back 😉

Holding their first weekend service today, we were able to finally partake in the long awaited Mitt experience! What I like most about this little shop (aside from the Big Tex Burrito) is the love put into the interior and making it feel special. You really feel right at home in the cozy cafe-style space. The service was outstanding, the food was a delight and I do hope this Sunday Brunch experiment went well for them as this is well-worth the trip after Sunday service and I want to come back to try those buffalo tacos very soon. Well done, Mitt!

It always smells delicious before I even walk in here! Their soft chicken tacos are the best. Their salsa (mild, medium, hot) are always fresh and a nice way to kick up your lunch. Service is fast and prices are reasonable. I heard they offer breakfast too and I'm dying to try it.

Their beef is great! They add potato chunks that really make it a filling taco. I was sad to only see chicken and beef offered, but they have chorizo and pork specials, so check them out and see what you might be in to! Not the BEST taco in Jax, but definitely in the top 5, and well worth the money!

Stopped in at this small family restaurant about 1:40 on a weekday. The meal was prepared quickly and it was delicious. Their three taco special can be soft and/or hard tacos. The chips and queso was very fresh! I would recommend this to anyone who loves Tex Mex!!

Fresh ingredients and family recipes are the hallmark of this little gem in the Southpoint Business Center. The atmosphere is very comfortable if you decide to eat in....OR they will bring the food to you with their catering service. Have a fiesta in your office! Really and truly, this is a great local family business with a wonderful menu. Awesome food and wonderful experience every time I visit.
