There was an incident with a friend of the bar and the bar staff handled it incorrectly. If I ever see them in person again in wicker park it’s on sight.

Always a stop when I’m home. Love this place.

Kinda dive-y and weird but that's right up my alley. It was quiet on a Sunday late afternoon. Quirky decor, old timey feel, reasonably priced options. Great alternative music selection playing loud enough to hear it but quiet enough to hold a conversation without yelling. Friendly service!

Great bar, great staff, great cocktails. Always a favorite place to stop when I'm in the area.

Drinks and vibe were great! I love the monthly drink for charity idea and this month it was a complex, multi-faceted concoction that I needed at least two of. The bartenders are personable and good at their craft. It's a relaxed vibe, in an area that can be a bit overly self-conscious. You should check it out.

The style of music was very well curated and fun, the classic and signature cocktails, very good!

This bar is like your best hoodie. Comfy, stylish, great to show off to your friends. Karaoke on Mondays is key, but revel is a staple all week. Excellent cocktails, tasty beers, and truly fantastic N/a options. Do not pass it up ❤️

The bartender was extremely rude. I asked him why they didn’t have egg white alternative (since they did not have egg whites) for foam, and he said “if you don’t work behind a bar, I am not going to explain it to you.” Avoid until they fire this guy. Cocktails were average. It was loud, but tolerable.

Scotty is the best bartender and we came for a Bom Tempo Friday night music show that was amazing and did not disappoint! The only digression is 3 of 5 for atmosphere. Bathrooms were pretty gross, lots of broken glasses, and no circulation. Either way, it was so nice to be at a real dance party with a wonderful staff!

We were there a couple months ago, lovely quaint place, Connor and Katie went absolutely above and beyond and I greatly appreciated them and their service.

What a great place!!! I was here several months back & my friends had met me here. We had a wonderful time!! The bartenders Katie & Connor were great, as well as the bouncer. Drinks were good & the atmosphere was FANTASTIC! I’ll be back soon & wish I could give more than 5 stars. 🤩

My husband and I visited Revel for dinner one night while on vacation in Seattle and everything was fantastic! We started with the short rib wontons, which featured tender meat and a little spice from the chili oil. For our mains, we shared the Dungeness crab noodles (the noodles were homemade) with red curry and creme fraiche. We also had the sticky gochujang ribs - which were out of this world good. The glaze on the ribs had so much flavor, they were definitely on the spicy side so if you're sensitive to that just be aware, but we thought the amount of spice was perfect. For dessert, we shared the chocolate torte and the lemon blueberry cake - both were phenomenal! I also had Madame Rue cocktail and my husband had a Negroni and we loved both. Our server was very friendly/attentive and gave great recommendations. I'd happily return to Revel in the future.

Party of 6: My review of our order. Short Rib Rice Plate was very good. Kimchi pancakes and Dungeness crab noodle were both good. Short Rib Wontons, Thai Sticky Toffee Mochi Cake and Miso Black Sesame Flan were all okay/average in flavor. Tuna Rice Bowl, it was good, however it contained little tuna and was mostley just rice. Chauterelle Mushroom Rice lacked flavor and was mostly just rice that was mixed with the sauce from other dishes. Spicy Miso Pork Collar was very hard to enjoy because it was overwhelmed with fat. I would not go out of my way to dine here again

They have n/a drinks and had a great DJ when we went a few weekends ago! Open late, good bartender.

I love Revel Room. They make the best whiskey sour in town. And cheap! They are a chill bar on week days and lit on weekends. I remember pre-pandemic it'd be packed, and they'd have two DJs, it was a blast.

Went in after 10:00 p.m. on a Friday evening and apparently there was karaoke that was starting at like 11:00 the space had a back room in the past that had kind of like a club environment and that was not open so that was a change that I was not aware of but overall if you want to step in and get a quick drink and sit in the booth you can do that there.

Always love this place. Cool vibes, and awesome bartenders, throw in 3 dollar old styles plus Friday night karaoke?? Can't beat it!

Great place to grab a nightcap. It was pretty quiet (since it was a Sunday) but that probably made us enjoy it more. Would have loved to explore it a bit more

We asked our Airbnb host about good restaurants in our neighborhood. She recommended Revel and it's sister restaurant Joule. We walked in to Revel after 8 on a Tuesday without a reservation. We had a delicious and lovely meal. They close at 9, so were out of a few of our first choices, but we were not disappointed in anything we ordered. Our favorites were the shrimp crisps and the black sesame miso flan.

Awesome, chill bar to hang at during the weekend. They have a good selection of cocktails that are extra tasty. I tried the Winthrop and El Diablo, and they were delicious. Loved the ambiance as well! They played good music, and it didn’t feel extra crowded when I went on a Saturday night.

We enjoyed spending a few hours at the Revel Room with a mixed age group. This was great as many places seem to cater to loosely specific age ranges. We were there on an evening when their smallish back room was open. The atmosphere was very relaxed and casual. We were able to enjoy drinks and conversation as the music volume was not overwhelming. We would definitely go back again.

Top flight outfit. Particularly for Monday industry night karaoke.

Exceptional dark lighting and ambiance is perfect for a date spot.

I've been going to Revel on and off for a few years. It's a really awesome date spot if you want to have an intimate evening with someone in a big couch. The bartender warned us about parking on Milwaukee because I guess they start ticketing and towing at 10pm. The staff is friendly and chill.

Walked in at 12:30am Sunday/Monday and was happily greeted by the staff. The vibes were super mellow but the guys behind the bar were still in to hang. Which honestly is so rare to see at any place before close. The bartenders hooked it up with the old fashioned and beer. Got to hang for a solid sec and headed out. The ambiance is 10/10. The booths they have are fantastic both in looks but also feel. I'll be back asap.

Dark interior with low lights and it's great. Highly recommend ordering the old fashioned and enjoying the setting. Don't pass up this spot!

We stopped in for the nostalgia of it being the old Crocodile Lounge. Drink menu reminded me a bit of the old one. Unfortunately no personal pizza with a cocktail special anymore. But! The vibes were good, not overly packed, music great, not sure if they have food but everything else was on point.

Great service and great selection at this low- key Wicker Park gem. The place was friendly, clean & welcoming. The staff had great knowledge about the rare premium whiskey selection and were very hospital to our requests. Highly recommended to everyone who wants to have an enjoyable personable experience in a busy "party" corridor of the neighborhood.

Was visiting in early June from CA. Had the best time here! Anthony and Scotty were very knowledgeable and friendly and introduced us to some amazing gins. This is a bar for drinking — and expanding your drinking horizons. I tell everyone about this great bar in Chicago. I can’t wait to visit again. Boomerang!

Always love a good cocktail at the Revel Room. The bartenders are legit, crowd is lax, and music is always on point. Been going here for 5+ years and still feels like home even though a lot of Wicker Park has been evolving.. Not complaining about the development of Wicker, but I love having the familiarity of an old school spot that's still doing it's thing and doing it well

We just spent a week in the city and this was our BEST meal in Seattle by far! Exceptional flavors, great vibe, and great service. Highly recommended the short rib rice bowl and miso rice cake with pork ribs (both Gluten-free!). They have stellar cocktails too with plenty of outdoor seating.

Revel has reopened in the same location after a complete rebuild of that 1/4 block. Since it reopened late 2019, the patrons have returned. A welcoming ambiance with an edge. The homemade noodle dish was very tasty, deep in flavor and spicy enough to tease the mouth. Will return for another time.

If you're looking for "dumbed-down boring pan-Asian food" this might be your place -- just beware the catastrophic service, as this place needs to get its kitchen and servers up to speed -- before opening to the public (in its new, former location). They have rushed things, and it shows. Dinner started out promising with mixed greens that actually had interesting tastes. Things went downhill from there. Kimchee pancake had lots of "cake" and almost no kimchee flavor (we ought to have departed here). Then, we waited 20 minutes with an empty table. Finally, we asked our server about where our two entrees were. Well, she forgot them; ouch. We'd ordered seaweed noodles in red curry sauce (with crab); we got, instead, bland noodles with not a speck of seaweed in sight, with a salty sauce that strangely resembled their "other" noodle dish's. (We think the kitchen simply dumped some crab on someone else's noodles -- what else?) The slab of Pacific cod was, well, salty -- no other tastes. Go elsewhere; anywhere. Don't be disappointed as we were. OK: the server even let the cat out of the bag, when we remarked that we didn't really have any dish that was Korean. "Oh, we alter the dishes to suit American tastes" [you can't make this stuff up !!]

Walked to Revel from Westlake and am glad I did. The food is wonderful and the service was friendly. I had the lunch rice bowl. Can’t wait to have it again. My man had the crab noodle bowl and finished it so quickly all the while saying it was very very good. Will be back!

This is a great place to go for an out-of-the ordinary set of flavors. It is upscale Korean food, with pancakes, noodles, dumplings and just 3 mains. Cocktails are varied and tasty. The noise level is low so conversation is possible even at a table for 6

My husband had the kalbi beef Rice bowl and I had the Dungeness crab noodles. Everything was delicious. That's all we got as we were having a light meal but I would go back in a heartbeat. Delicious food.

Very cool place for a date night or dinner with friends. Service was excellent and menu has some interesting flavor combination, but both our dishes were delicious. Only con was the limited options for vegetarians. Apart from that I would highly recommend Revel!

We stumbled upon this place and loved the decor inside. We we're lucky and got a table by the bar/grill, which also function as the food prep worktable. Fascinating to see the chefs hustling about to prepare one delicious meal after the other. We had noodles with dungeonsness crab, dumplings and rice cake. Each dish had Korean inspired flavors with an interesting new twist. Everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful food served impeccably.Shared the Pork and Shrimp dumplings and the Dungeness seaweed noodles.Both were excellent.The sides of daikon and fennel Kimchee were also very good. Will be back for sure next time we’re in town. The Purple Man Eater is worth ordering for the name alone,very refreshing.Loved everything about the evening.

We were a family birthday party of 9 adults, 2 children and an infant. We were advised to pick unique dishes and share them and were delighted with the advice. The crab noodles, shrimp salad and beef rice bowls were outstanding. Such flavorful food ! This was an excellent location for such a celebration and the service was outstanding.

This is the second time I've been here and each time the food has been exceptional. The Ribeye with Peanut oil might be the best steak I've had and the Octopus is incredible. The vegetable accompaniments are really unique in their own right, the cauliflower and skipjack is delicious! If you struggle to choose (you will), the servers are very knowledgeable and will help guide you based on taste and portion size. My favorite of Rachel Yang's restaurants, HIGHLY recommend.
