Amazing food. Great value! A local favorite of ours!

Phenomenal Service and food. Everything on the menu is a winner!

Intimate setting. The pizza was saucy and very tasty. There's a covered, outdoor patio, with fans, that is pleasant to converse on. The staff are nice enough. I'd like to go back and try more food.

The pizza was ok but the appetizer chicken meatballs were very good.

Portion was HUGE and tasty. Staff had great smiles and were attentive. The dinning room was a little warm but not unbearable.

Great food! If you are in Gateway, you are lucky that you have this restaurant so nearby! ...but try to go when it is not too busy. This building has an awkward shape that makes it hard to get seating, assuming you can even park, and you might get stuck bumping chairs with someone in another group who refuses to pull forward to their table. I just go between lunch and dinner to avoid that, then it is great and I can focus on their Chicken Parmesan.

Love their happy hour, pizzas and bread! We visit at least 8 times a year 👍👍

Great place to catch a comfortable and classy happy hour. Happy Hour menu features great drink prices as well as low priced quality food items all with a nice vibe. Great staff, pleasant and helpful. If you choose to order off the regular menu everything is outstanding. Keep in mind portion size is fairly large so plan to share or have take out for tomorrow’s lunch. In any case you won’t be disappointed. I try to go early as parking is limited.

I've eaten at the Saucy Meatball a few times, but decided to write a review because of Trevor. I was placing an order for delivery and he accommodated my special request. He went above and beyond to make sure the cooks had my request and was so pleasant and kind. Thanks, Trevor!

We ate here a couple of weeks ago with friends. I had the cacio e pepe and shared a Caesar salad with my husband. The salad was THE BEST Caesar salad I've had in a very, very long time. The cacio e pepe was great - could've been a bit lighter on the cream sauce, but it made excellent leftovers. Our waitress, Caitlin, was a breath of fresh air. She was very knowledgeable and super attentive to my needy friend. I would hire her in a minute. We will go back.

Very good Italian food little on the pricey side

A very classy restaurant in a quiet, suburban location. No riff Raff here. Parking can be impossible... Parking on the tree lawn isn't a way to impress a Girl... The entrance is rather odd ... You walk into the kitchen carryout, then past bathrooms in narrow hallway. Odd. But, the dining room, bar is classy. The patio is gorgeous with extra large tilting umbrellas to block sun. Food quality excellent. Servers friendly, house red wine excellent.

Pizza is so greasy had to put a napkin to it but still had good taste with a crispy crust. Wouldn’t get again.

Was in town visiting a friend and stopped in as I saw they had some good reviews. Did not disappoint. Plenty of food and it was delicious. I had the chicken parm dinner.

We went there for an early Father's Day celebration, Friday night. The food was delicious, great selection and variety. Strongly recommend Soup of the Day and Calamaris at Very reasonable prices. The waitress where nice and knowledgeable. Definitely will come back for more.

The food was so delicious. I had eggplant parmesan with fresh veggies. It was amazing. The decor is modern and very nice atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

Went for lunch. They weren't too busy but still took too long to get acknowledged once we were sat. However, once we finally placed our order, the food came out very quickly and the service was excellent. The veal parmigiano and the Salmon Picata were incredibly delicious. Pasta was cooked perfectly and well seasoned.

First time here and not the last! Hidden gem! Atmosphere is great there was a band playing. The gent would come play his flute by the tables. Sat outside on the patio. Pasta was excellent. The best pasta I've had in Florida. I'm definitely gonna become a regular customer and try everything on the menu! Excellent service everybody is very friendly! I have already recommended friends to come to saucy meatballs and enjoy the experience that I enjoyed! Also, the portions are very generous!

I had the spaghetti bolognese. The place is the average strip mall Italian. Food is good, but the employees were fantastic. Our server was great and everyone were passed thanked us.

Wife and I love it here. The veal Parmesan is nice and thin. They obviously get it ! All there dishes are huge and always enough to take some home. Love the atmosphere in Ft Myers. It’s not an Italian vibe but it’s so classy and modern. The servers are great and Luz is so nice. We ask for her when we can.

The waitress Kaitlyn was absolutely amazing. Very sweet, attentive, constantly checking on us. Restores my faith in the youth of today. There was no wait and food came quickly. Meatball sliders were delicious. I gave the pizza 3 stars, sorry I'm a total Jersey pizza snob, and when it comes to pizza, I'm a critic. But for Florida pizza its pretty good. Rush hour traffic on Daniel's Pkwy terrible, Decided to wait it out at Saucy Meatball. Best move ever! Quickly seated, ordered, and served. Younger wait help could not be more helpful and polite. Our waitress Katelyn was a real sweetheart. Really genuine and caring. Our pizza was perfect. Meatball sliders were amazing. Great place!

I went there for my birthday! I ordered the Veal Marsala and I was served Chicken. Bye the time the correct meal arrived, everyone was done with their meals. And that was okay because the veal was rubbery and tasted nothing like a Marsala Wine should taste like. The muscles for appetizers were mushy and had a taste like nothing I have ever eaten. The shrimp bang bang was over cooked. So the whole experience was a Disaster. I have been there more than once and this was a complete failure. Won’t be going back.

Very good food at affordable prices. Limited but varied menu. Portions were plentiful and very tasty. I had a Lasagna and it was huge and tasty. Did taste some pasta and it was a bit overdone, not at al dente.

Saucy is my favorite place. It's defiantly the hang out spot. I have had a couple of great dishes there that I enjoy including the Chicken Francese and the Chicken Pam which are both amazing! They even have their own special wine which is my new favorite as well. You have to try it for yourself. Know you won't be disappointed!

Definitely something different than what it used to be. Very wet dishes, food lacking flavor as before. Still good food, just not... great.

Moved here 4 years ago to Gateway Greens & Saucy Meatball is my favorite Italian restaurant. Food & Service are always consistent though out the year & owner seems to really care as he is present quite often. Thank you for a great dining experience.

This was our first time there and we had a great lunch and service. We sat outside and overall it was great! A large selection on the menu with generous portions at reasonable prices. We will definitely go back.

Friendly service. Food was authentic and fresh and it came in fast from bread rolls and drinks to appetizer - Calamari and all our entrees. Really recommend this authentic Italian diner for great tasting food and friendly service. We sat in the patio which is a bit quieter than inside which can become noisy during peak dining hours.

Food and service were excellent. We had Vegan Stromboli and they were superb. Great ambiance except for the acoustics, one very large room where the noise carried everywhere, but we WILL return.

Great first time experience here. It was super packed the night we went, but still overall enjoyable! The food was fantastic, delicious and definitely fresh! I love that they have an outdoor please to sit and relax while you wait for your turn to go eat. He had the lasagna and I did a seafood pasta. I was so impressed by how much was in there!!!! You can see just how much seafood they gave with my pasta. It felt like the right amount of sauce. Will absolutely plan to come back again.

I used to eat here regularly. The last several times I’ve attempted to call to place orders I immediately get placed on hold. I’m not impatient but each time I wait at least 5 minutes and never have anyone pick up the line. First time it happened I figured they were busy so called back about 15 minutes later. Same thing. A different day, same outcome. I’ve given up. Too many other options to waste time on a place that hasn’t figured out how to work their order system

Having visited this Italian gem a couple of times, I can't help but rave about it. The cozy vibes make you feel right at home, and the staff's warm welcome is consistent. We first tried The Saucy Meatball about 6+ months ago. We ordered two pizzas and they were great! We were excited to have finally found a good pizza outside of your typical chain restaurant and planned on ordering again later on. We ordered two pizzas last night and had an entirely different experience. We ordered online to pick up in person. When we got there the parking lot was packed, which is understandable as the snowbirds absolutely take over our state during this time of year, and it's good to see a local business thriving. The first issue was the Uber/Doordash drivers. They would push their way to the front of the line to pick up the order. I get they have a job to do, but at no point did the staff tell them to wait. While waiting, I'm assuming the manager, said something along the lines of "you all are ordering Togo orders are killing me". While I have no doubt it was said because it was beyond busy and stressful, it was a bit off putting to hear as I'd assume a local businesses would WANT that. Once we got home, my wife opened her cheese pizza and we both immediately said, "this looks like a pizza from Chuck-e-cheese". It looked smelled the same and had the exact same taste. I had the "High Class Chicken Pizza". It looked decent, but the taste wasn't there, and there was barely a dusting of blue cheese. Maybe the place was having an off night, but this experience wasn't like last time and was disappointing, especially for the price of two small pizzas.

OMG, The Saucy Meatball is so deliciously good! The side salads were fresh and crisp. The White Out Pizza was cooked just right and tasted awesome! Finally, Sal's Favorite Pasta was magnificent! The Bolognese Meat Sauce was the best I ever had; it's so flavourful! Try the Reef Donkey beer and also the Saucy Brunette beer. The Reef Donkey is aromatic and tasty. I highly reccomend dining at The Saucy Meatball!

This is a hide place I recent discovery. Love the ambiance and the decoration. The food was awesome, you need to try the lasaña. I will plan to came back for sure. The kids had pizza. The only down was the margarita, was not good at all. But everything else I do recommend this small family owned Italian restaurant.

First time dining here. Valentine Day so they were busy. Minimal wait time however. Very good food and entree selections. A neighborhood gem.

The food may be great, I'll never find out, this rating is on the service only, server was somewhat rude, rushed and didn't seem to want to serve me, maybe because I had on a work shirt. Ordered a sandwich and Asked for a diet Pepsi, I got one... in a warm can and just a straw, no glass of ice. Couldn't get her attention, that is until I got up and walked out.

Had dinner at the Saucy Meatball recently with some friends. We are new to Gateway and had only ordered pizza there. We had some great red wine and chicken parm. It was delicious and got to meet Alex, the owner. He just came by the table to say hello. Highly recommend a night out there for a delicious home cooked meal, good wine and friendly atmosphere!

This place is AMAZING. Everything is mouth watering delicious. They offer takout and dine in. Note that they offer different menus for lunch/ dinner. I mention this because I originally went in at dinner with plans to try the philly cheesesteak but unfortunately it is not a part of their dinner menu but you can order it for takeout. Since we wanted to dine in I cut my losses and reevaluated what I wanted. Let me just say I did not leave disappointed. Everything tasted amazing, you can tell they use fresh ingredients and their tomato sauce is so good I would honestly drink it if I could. I definitely plan on returning to try more items. Please note that the place is smaller and gets full so I definitely would recommend a reservation. We walked in without a reservation on a Tuesday and immediately got seated but you could tell this is popular place as it quickly got full. The prices seemed high at first but when we got our entree you can tell it’s justified due to the large portions and they are pretty on par with other Italian places. The complimentary garlic rolls were so good and warm, a great intro for whats to come. Overall amazing place and will be recommending to everyone.

Best Veal Marsalla in Lee County

The saucy meatball Is a restaurant located in side of the Gateway community. The service and decor are of standard quality with no particular notes about either. However a restaurants main duty is to provide food for their customers and the food I have received is sub-par and over priced. Me and my family (2 people) ordered 2 Sals favorite and two salads. Two people eating at this establishment with two salads totaled to be $60. Sals favorite supposedly one of their best on the menu was simply poor, comparable to the quality of pasta and flavor of delivered pasta from Dominos or other fast pizza chain. The sauce itself was bland in flavor lacking the enjoyment and pizazz of true Italian cooking. The meatball served with it tasted like a bland lump of meat. And on my pasta the meatball contained pink undercooked pieces of meat. Let alone the quality of pasta whitch tasted and felt liked store bought pre made pasta. And the cheeses were seriously lacking in quality. And arguably the worst offense of any of it was the salads. They were standard at best again comparable to fast “Italian” such as dominos. What left a bad taste in my mouth however was the $10 price point for a salad I could have made at my house with zero effort and with cheap ingredients. I spent $20 just on salads. The mistakes listed above should not be made by a establishment of this reputation and price point. All in all the food here is sub standard and patrons seeking Italian cooking should seek other food places, and the only highlight of saucy meatball is the convenience for gateway residents.

We found this restaurant based on reviews. Everything was very tasty: freshly baked bread, pasta with truffle and Brussels sprouts - you'll lick your fingers!

Waitress was absolutely amazing. The wine also absolutely amazing. The foooood?! Absolutely amaZinnnnnnnng. When the owner waved and said bye " EXTREMELY AMASINGG.

Food was very good. Very attentive when we walked in. Sat right down. We were early 2:30 in the afternoon. Place was clean and the staff was very friendly.

First time going to this restaurant. Incredible food from the delicious rolls to each of our meals. Calzone, chicken maribella grinder, and a chicken parmigiana dinner. The patio was beautiful and the service was awesome too!! Highly recommend!! We will absolutely be going back!

The house pasta was great, large portion was 2 meals in one. Tables are very close together. I think one party moved our table further away from them before we arrived so we were extremely close to the next table.

Had a very nice meal here last night. Our server Kate was very helpful and attentive. Food was good and reasonably priced for the ample servings. Recommend the Gianna salad, Sals favorite pasta, and BBQ chix pizza. The garlic roll starters were good and the house sangiovese wine went well with meal.

Saucy Meatballs has the best meatballs and marinara app with garlic knots. Plan to share because it's huge. Their mussels are also amazing.

This is just a little resturant & bar with nice outside seating. Each time we have gone the service has been wonderful. Looks like there are a lot of regulars. There is a lot of warmth. The food is delicious. A must go!!!

Great restaurant. The atmosphere and location are second to none. One of my favorite dishes is the pasta Bolognese. I also love the salmon with pasta tossed in a light lemon sauce.

Their dishes are wonderful! Loved their chicken, but also the meatballs, which you can order how many you want. They are big! Excellent fare, can only!
