Simply amazing! We had a bridal shower there 8/3/2024 in the tavern. The entire venue exceeded our expectations. Ellegant cozy unique affordable. Our bartender was very kind and friendly, she definitely made our day special. Highly recommend. We used Make it Fabulous for the catering and the name speaks for itself:) 5 stars

Horrible Gail quoted wrong the liquor bill should have been lower but she won. My DJ won’t be playing there anymore or anytime In the future. Definitely don’t trust her Gail on the bar bill because she misleads you. Just feel sick to my stomach!!!! Terrible won’t promote this establishment anymore or anytime!! Made the DJ feel horrible and the food catering feel bad too !! Don’t book in my opinion!!!!

It is a really good space for an event.

Absolutely love the venue. Food offerings are very limited so what they do offer for the price point is very pedestrian. Charcuterie for four, 6 Aldi type crackers, 6 slices of raw baguette. One cheese. Poor olive mix, two meats... Prosciutto and a Genoa type salami. For that price point doesn't impress. No nuts, no sweet option, no spreadable cheese like cream cheese or goat cheese with flavored jam like apple bacon jam, jalapeno jam, which would send that listless charcuterie option over the top, especially given the price point.

The Schoolhouse is absolutely adorable. It is a unique venue. Exceptionally clean and the staff were so very nice!

The schoolhouse is always an excellent time. The old school vibe mixed with the new school crowd just makes a mix worth trying. I have been here probably 20 times at least, and i always find myself coming back. The owners are top notch people. The people that come here are top notch people. It's just one of those places you come to. Don't think too hard about it. Enjoy yourself.

Gail and The Schoolhouse staff are absolutely fantastic. My husband and I fell in love with the venue during our first walk through, as we just knew it was the intimate, cool vibe we wanted for our wedding. Gail was incredibly helpful throughout the entire period of our wedding planning, and she was very responsive and always just a text or call away. The bartenders are also incredible. Our wedding day went off without a single hitch--and all of our guests had an excellent time. I highly recommend The Schoolhouse for weddings, events, and even just for drinks :) Thank you so much, Gail!

The coolest place for weddings!

What an amazing event space! From start to finish the whole staff was so attentive to my daughters wedding and shower.

Craft drinks Bartenders are lots of fun. You can even go there by yourself and feel comfortable!

Our wedding was July 16, 2022. Everything and everyone was wonderful from the start of our booking to the end of our night. Every guests enjoyed the location and staff. Thank you all so much. I will definitely recommend you to anyone asking for a wonderful venue for any event.

Lovely venue for a shower! So cute inside! I love how open and well lit the main room is. The whole place is so well decorated and taken care of.

I'm not exactly sure about the range of experiences that this place offers. I went to a holiday party here, the food was catered by another restaurant. This is a really cool building though. The stone work and the basement is amazing. The building has been beautifully preserved and is really a wonderful showcase of some of the architectural history of the area. I Would be thrilled to attend more parties in this building

Went to a wedding. It was very nice phenomenal. Service was wonderful people were great it was beautiful. This would be a really great place for a party function wedding reception even a wedding. It has everything it's clean it's nostalgic and it's really got a great home feel to it.

We had an incredible day for a wedding shower 8/15/21. This is such a unique place and full of character. Gail was fabulous to work with to help coordinate everything. Bonnie was our bartender and she made everything just perfect for our day. Thank you both!! Cali’s west servers were experts in this area. They were fun and friendly. The food was great too.

Gail and her staff were amazing with all they did for our daughter's wedding! They didn't miss a beat! Gail was fabulous! She helped so much coordinating our big day and my husband and I couldn't be happier. Everything was perfect! She had wonderful vendor recommendations for every thing we could possibly think of for the event. She was a great communicator, checking in making sure it all went according to plan.

We hosted my fiance's surprise 30th birthday at the tavern. It was absolutely beautiful with great service, and fantastic cocktails! We had the Paloma tequila as the signature, and it was a big hit!

We attended a surprise birthday party for my son at The Schoolhouse over the weekend. What a beautiful venue! The Tavern is reminiscent of an old world pub with stone walls, a beautiful fireplace with leather seating and gorgeous decor. The indoor outdoor flow to the cozy courtyard allowed great flow and a really cool vibe. The ambience is off the charts! The food was excellent. Gail, the owner is a fabulous host. Our bartender was a rockstar whipping up specialty cocktails all night long. I can’t wait to host a bridal shower in the authentic one room Schoolhouse room in September. I highly recommend this venue for an unforgettable event or a night out. I look forward to live music in the courtyard and my next “Manchester Breeze!”

Gorgeous Place - Great Staff - Very Reasonable ! We hosted a baby shower at the Schoolhouse on 8/22/20 - it truly was a dream come true! Gail and the staff at The Schoolhouse are exceptional. The venue is beautiful. The grounds are meticulous - the perfect combination of greens, florals, and stone. The Schoolhouse and Tavern are rustic and charming, but with luxurious touches such as hand towels in the bathrooms, gorgeous lighting, and music throughout. The schoolroom has multiple chalkboards, we used the chalkboard artist that Gail suggested, and the artwork was beautiful, the perfect touch to our event. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our guests were taken care of, they truly treated us like family. The contract is very clear, outlining exactly what is included and what is not, and Gail worked with us on every detail. The venue was more than accommodating in the wake of COVID, setting up a large tent outside, and suggested a flow that would meet the new mom's wishes, the social distancing requirements, and provide a great experience for the guests. The guests RAVED about their experience - from the beautiful venue to the service, and the mom-to-be said it was more the she ever dreamed - a fairytale! I truly can't say enough good things about this place, and HIGHLY recommend it!

My wife has been wanting to go here all summer and well it's not summer anymore but we finally made it. We loved it, great atmosphere, friendly staff and the Panini platter was very good. They are open to the public on most Thursday's and Friday's. I would highly recommend going here.

Have not attended an event here yet, but did go to the bar after work one weekday. Friendly service and a wide variety of specialty cocktails. A bit pricey, but made with fresh ingredients. Small plates to share. Super neat atmosphere, the bar is in the basement, exposed foundation and wood and copper accents make it awesome! I especially liked the reusable hand towels in restroom on the first floor. Many original finishes kept throughout the space...transom windows, woodwork, floors, light fixtures, etc.

I went when it's open to the public. I was not aware that they didnt serve food. So I was a little disappointed in that aspect, but the drinks were awesome and I loved the atmosphere.

The outdoor space has nice tables and cozy informal seating. And a fire pit!

Was so pleased the server remembered my name even though they were busy and it was hours later.

Always a pleasant, fun atmosphere. Wait staff always top notch. Such a pleasure to be able to enjoy this historical landmark! Thanks to the owners for all they've done to restore it and share it with the community! ☺

Attended an event their recently and I must say that the staff was absolutely fantastic!

First time here. Perfect setting for a friend's wedding. The bar area downstairs is cozy, quaint, and relaxing. The bar staff was friendly, attentive, and prompt with drink orders. Outdoor patio seating is also available.

Rented downstairs for my father's 75 birthday. Very reasonable priced. The bartender was excellent. Great venue for party's!

I cannot say enough positive things about Gail and her staff! I had my wedding reception here in April. From initial contact through the final payment, Gail was wonderful to work with. She made sure every detail was discussed, made suggestions for things I wouldn't have even thought of, and ensured the reception flowed smoothly. Our bartender was wonderful and our signature drink was an absolute hit. Guests LOVED the charm of The Schoolhouse and Swan Tavern. I would have an event here again hands down!

Coziest pub in the area. Without a doubt best staff in the business. A true delight.

I used The Schoolhouse for my wedding reception. They set up the tables and had everything ready to go when we arrived. Everything felt very natural and simple (which is the feel that I wanted). All of my guests loved the atmosphere and kept asking me "How did you find this place?!". The owners and staff are wonderful to work with an be around. If I ever need another event venue, I will definitely consider coming back to The Schoolhouse!!
