Great Food!!! Best food truck in the Candler Area!!! Crunch wrap and the homemade honey mustard are to die for!!!!

Had their amazing!!! chicken sandwich and fries for lunch. That may have been the best fried chicken sandwich that I’ve had! Very tender and perfectly breaded. Can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu! Service was incredible and friendly too!!

Fresh food made to order! Stopped by on my way to work the other day and it was the best food I've had in awhile around here! Your food is made to order so it comes out hot and fresh. The service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. Great burgers and delicious fried or grilled chicken tenders! Would definitely recommend.

Little gem tucked away! We split the fried chicken house salad with their homemade blackberry balsamic and also homemade honey mustard. Absolute HUGE portions! I recommend stopping here on your travels through. Lots of grassy area to rest and have your kids safely roam. We also got to pick blackberries while waiting on our order!

Exceptional food truck- one of the more underground spots I've had in NC. The owners were incredibly friendly to us and helped us out with selections! Had their spicy chicken sandwich, and burger- both loaded with vegetables and flavor. A must if you're in the area. My only issue is they're not closer to me!

We have eaten here several times. It's hard to decide what to have because everything is very good. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. I definitely recommend this place.

Had my first catfish and absolutely loved it! The cupcakes and hotdogs were delicious! My husband and sister-in-law couldn't stop praising their meals. We all reminisced on our dishes hours later, and probably years to come. Great prices as well, fast service, friendly, patient, and accommodating! There's also a nice place for kids to play in the grass and stretch their legs. After trying to order a pizza from the new place where we were told it would be 11/2 for a pie- we went to SSF. One of the first magical spring evenings, we dined in on the picnic tables. The food is always so good and fresh! If you have not been here you are overdue!! Owners are really great and accommodating! So many tasty treats….my favorite is the crunch wrap! With lime dressing… Sweet Southern Funk…💕

We got some Crunchwrap’s supreme with the 3 bean and they were SO GOOD! Also love the location and how it’s out in nature. The cucumber salad was also really yummy and went well with the Crunchwrap. Definitely coming back for more!!

I love this Food truck. Candler town Named food. I love the 151 Nachos. And they have a O.C.T. BOLOGNA Sandwhich. The fellow also brought my order to my car. A must eat if your in Candler Near Hwy 151 aka Pisgah Hwy

I’m just visiting the area & I’m mad that I came here because it’s probably the best food I’ve had in like a year. I asked what their favorite things were & went with the crunch wrap. It was so crispy & flavorful, all of the veggies in it were fresh. ABSOLUTELY come here, the only reason you’ll regret it is if you don’t live here & can’t eat here every day. 10/10 food, good prices, & good service!

We came from out of town and were staying in a cabin up the road. We came here for lunch one day since my wife is vegan and saw some good options. We both got the vegan crunch wrap and it was AMAZING. We ended up extending our cabin stay and came back again to get it for our way home it was that good. All the other options looked great but that crunch wrap had us coming back. Service was excellent and very kind. We will stop back here next time we are in town.

Everything off the menu is fire, I just tend to gravitate to certain favorites like the classic style burger, the excellent hot dogs, the 151 Nachos AKA Sloppy Nachos, and now, the Street Corn on special. The chef is superb and consistent in delivery. Welcome to flavor town!

This is one of my favorite places to eat. The people are great. They go out of their way to help you. I cannot say enough highly recommend.

Sweet Southern Funk is hands down the BEST food!!! Their crunch wrap supreme is beyond amazing - and the black bean patty is everything. I usually prefer meat options but I would give up meat forever if I could eat that patty every day! Also, the service is beyond, these guys are the nicest there is, and always have a big smile!! I’m already looking forward to the next time I’m on that side of town!

Such a pleasant surprise. We were in a time crunch, so we stopped at this food truck, and the food was delicious! The crunchwrap with a 3 bean house patty rocked! So good! Husband enjoyed his Fender Hill Funky Chicken Sandwich. This food truck definitely takes things up a level and brings the flavors and combinations.

We loved the name so decided to stop. So glad we did. We had great loaded hot dogs and a very good hamburger both finger licking good. Outdoor dining experience and the service was great. They really did a great job for us. Would highly recommend for a casual dining experience. We are from Columbia TN but if we are ever in the neighborhood we would definitely stop again.

Seasoning on chicken sandwich was excellent. Everything comes with a side and there are more than usual healthy choices: cucumber salad, side salad. A side was also a hot dog (yes!), though we didn’t get it. NOTE: they close from 3-4 pm daily for their own lunch break.

We came all the way from NYC to try this food truck! The food did not disappoint. Definitely try the fried bologna sandwich and the massive portion of chicken tenders. Highly recommend. Will be back!

I went to this place two days in a row. It was delicious. Great menu, great customer service, and fresh food! The homemade ranch was one of the best I’ve had in the entire Asheville area, I’ve suggested this place to lots of my friends to go visit as well because it was delicious!

I’ve eaten here several times and all the food is prepared with so much love and attention to detail. The burger is one of the best I’ve ever had. Today I had the veggie burger wrap and asked which cheese would go well with it. The chef recommended the nacho cheese… it was truly next level. The flavors are so well balanced and the tortilla cooked to perfection. This is worth checking out if you are in the Asheville area~ I will definitely be back!

Great food, great service from great people. Finally got a chance to try this food truck on 151, on the way up to the BRP, close to Boone's Corner. Wasn't sure if I would like the crunch-wrap or not, but they told me it was great so I gave it a go and wow, they weren't lying, it was luscious. SSF is a great place to refuel after hiking along the parkway. I'll be back.

Oh MY goodness!!!! BEST hot dog and fries I've had since my childhood in Detroit! IF you want an old fashioned Coney Dog you MUST try the Enka Lake Double Funk Dogs ... Yep, of course you get 2 loaded with cheese, chili, onion and mustard. The crispness of the fries are spot ON!! Of course we topped it off with the BEST lemon cupcake I have ever eaten! The luscious frosting and surprise lemon filling literally put this cupcake over the top!! I am sooooo looking forward to my next trip out to the truck stand to try out another menu choice!! 😋

Great place! Very good food, mostly meat but we had the excellent vegetarian/vegan option (candler crunch wrap 3-bean) with a side salad, also really good! Very friendly service, very clean, comfortable, tasty. Highly recommended!

I'm from Southwest Florida and come to Candler to visit family. Every time I come I have to eat at Sweet Southern Funk. I get the crunchwrap and cucumber salad. The texture and flavor combinations in the crunchwrap literally make me close my eyes to savor every flavor as much as I can. The atmosphere is so fun and the owners are incredibly friendly. By far my favorite place in the Candler/Asheville area.

This is their version of the sloppy joe, and let me tell you, it lives up to it's name. This thing is sloppy but really good. They have options for everyone. Salads , wraps, hot dogs, and more.

The kind of place where they go out of their way to remember your name. Where the food is delicious every time. Where you feel comfortable just being you. Southern hospitality is still alive.

Wanted to try it as we have heard good things. I like how all the menu items are the same price and that most include a side. I enjoyed my burger...the toasted the bun!!! Enjoyed the use of red onions rather than white or yellow also. We will be back
