Delicious! Toast has THE. BEST. TOAST. Great 'spiked espresso latte' too (I forget exactly what they call it, saw it off-menu on their chalkboard). I can't wait to come back with a bigger appetite... Next time I'm getting chicken and waffles!

Toast is nestled near the fairgrounds. Val was our server this time and she was the best. I’ve been here a few times and toast always delivers. The vibes is always right. Food is delicious. Wait time is sometimes long, but it is worth it! I got a classic mimosa and chicken and waffles. They have a variety of toppings for crepes and some classic dishes as well. This place is a staple in NOLA. I am so happy they have multiple spots.

I love this little neighborhood spot. The food is tasty. The parking and seating is a bit crowded but it's a treat if your in the city.

Toast was such a great experience for our family as we travelled through NOLA from Dallas to Florida! My 11 year old and 4 year old both found something good to eat here (somewhat picky eaters). We woke up pretty hungry from the hotel and wanted some good southern home cooking. It’s a smaller cafe style restaurant with free street parking. We had a party of 9 and they accommodated us quickly & so nicely on a Tuesday morning! The food was all amazing, honestly. The abelskivers (round pancake/donuts) were SO GOOD and the coffee was also really flavorful. My avocado toast & husbands breakfast biscuit were made on home made bread from the owner’s bakery and you could tell the flavor was nothing like store-bought!!! The staff was all so pleasant and it was nice to have a tasty breakfast before continuing our long cross-country drive! We’ll definitely visit here again on our way back through.

I remember first coming here in 2018. The herb omelette has changed . The fluffy soft moist texture was not there. The catfish still had a taste of the ocean. Atmosphere seemed a little off and lost its quaint touch. Staff team was very friendly, but I can tell everyone is overworked and overwhelmed. I wish all the better for Toast in its reclamation of their authenticity I once knew.

Took the family out for a brunch date to this hidden gem place in Nola, we ordered the toast ratatouille and the brisket burger and toast and egg for son. It was delicious and the service was outstanding. The young ladies that served us were phenomenal servers. Highly recommend

First time coming in today for brunch & I loved the catfish plate! 10/10. My friend recommends the crepes & the breakfast sandwiches. The service was amazing & quick. It’s also affordable so Im definitely coming back real soon!

I visited alone on a Monday just after 11am. There was a 15 minute wait but once seated service was very quick. I had the pleasure of working with Nancy, she was attentive, made recommendations to help meet my preferences, and she checked in frequently. The restaurant was full but my wait for food was just about 10 minutes. I had the classic breakfast with potatoes instead of grits (I know 😬, but know I prefer my grits with sugar vs salt... sacrilege in these parts). I added the (new experience for me) 3 count of Aebelskivers (maple). I complemented the meal with an ice brewed. All of the items were served hot (except the ice brew of course 😊) and were tasty: very good 4.5/5. Nancy was personable, engaging, and encouraged me to come back to try the other menu items. In total, $25.34 for the meal/drink, $10 tip; worth every penny!

Made a reservation at 10:30 and got there early. We then waited for 45 minutes to get our table. Our server Val wasn’t nice at snapped at someone from our party for asking to wait a minute to order because they weren’t ready. We got our food and most of it was cold, including my chicken and waffles and my wife’s grits and fried fish. Overall, this place did not live up to the hype and is not worth your time and money.

I'm a big fan of Toast in general. I regularly eat at their other locations. This one is a bit lacking in terms of food quality. I ordered the hangar steak. The potatoes are limp and soggy with no flavor. The steak was bleeding all over the plate bc the cook slashed it up after cooking without resting it. I'll give it another try, but it didn't meet the standard.

This was our first stop in New Orleans! It was over all great ! Everyone was so nice and the famous burger was delicious 😋

The best breakfast food you can get In NOLA at an actually affordable price! Nothing on the menu is average or below average and attention to detail here is beyond, they make their own bread for the thick toast, coffee is always hot, early bird breakfast is from 6-8 and its an 8 dollar classic breakfast that includes coffee, they have real maple syrup for waffles not the gross fake stuff, I could go on forever. It will be absolutely packed on weekends, so beware. Tip your waitress here well because they rock! 🫡❤️

Do not go here. I went for a double date and all but one of us found things terribly wrong with our food after being told the wait would be about 45 minutes and then having to wait for nearly an hour and a half. One member of our party ate their food quick enough that we didn't notice if their was anything wrong with their food. My girlfriend and I both got crepes and we both found bits of black plastic after eating some that came from the cook surface. The other issue came after our friend's partner are his and entire sandwich and most of his fries when he found a COCKROACH in his French fries. Only redeeming quality was our server who was quick to accept blame on behalf of the restaurant (but otherwise a little inattentive. Acceptable due to their busy rush).

Beware of their website. After waiting 30 minutes with our reservation, we were told that their website is broken and the new wait was 1.5 hours.

The restaurant is small & has outdoor seating too. Staff is attentive & fast. We went for breakfast & service was fast & they were busy. Everything was delicious!!

We had a delicious brunch. The breakfast sandwich with sausage was very good. The toast with pancetta, whipped ricotta, and honey was amazing. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. The inside is a bit small so you may hand a short wait for a table.

Very first visit was today. Loved it. Food is very delicious and the staff was very warm and welcoming. It's right by the fairgrounds here in New Orleans. Small dining restaurant, but really enjoyed. The fish and grits with scrambled egg and pineapple juice made my day. You can have breakfast until 2pm. There's lunch menu also. Kudos to Toast!!!!

This was the most awesome experience. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. The grits made me think they kidnapped my grandma and had her hidden in the back. They were so creamy and flavorful❤️❤️❤️❤️. Coffee drinks were flavorful and delicious. I am definitely a return customer. The host, our waitress, and all the staff was so pleasant and the positive vibe was in the air.

We really enjoyed our experience eating here before Jazzfest! The staff is so friendly and lively. Each and every one was personable, polite and cordial. You really feel like a regular getting served here. The food is delicious! And so are the drinks. This place really knows how to run a business. Southern charm and hospitality for days, and quality food of course. Would thoroughly recommend!!

Live reviewing before I forget - GREAT meal, FRIENDLY and ATTENTIVE staff, just a good vibe all around. I got the Bacon Gruyere etc omelette with the grits- the toast and jam are to die for!!!! Would recommend wholeheartedly!

Toast is a very casual dining experience, the wait staff are super nice, the music inside is fantastic, and I don't think I've had a better crêpe anywhere else in my life, not to mention how delicious the Lyonnaise potatoes, toast, and coffee were! A must have if you're stopping in New Orleans!

The breakfast is wonderful!!! Had the cheese eggs, cheese grits, biscuit gravy, bacon, sausage, and whatever those fluffy pancake balls w/powder sugar are called. A must try!!!

The house-made bread is soft and flavorful. Next time I would probably just order one toast and add some additional toppings, because the slices are huge. We got a side of grits and it was also amazing. The service was great. The atmosphere is great. Next time we are in NOLA we will return.

We went to toast to celebrate my niece 35 birthday brunch. It was sooo nice eating outside with family the atmosphere and food was great!

The energy of this spot is the number one best thing about Toast, tied with the food. Jada is amazing, she served us at the bar. (Sad they’re leaving, glad we caught the amazing energy) Lydia, FOH manager was on point the whole time~LFG. We visited for the weekend (from Florida), ate here twice. Cold brew is UHmazing, 10/10. Strawberry jam, 10/10. Music choice, 10/10. Absolutely making this a regular stop when I come to NOLA.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in the city. I meet my parents here often and since moving to Dallas, it's a must stop before we head back out of town. Two words: THE GRITS.

Always loved this spot! On the weekends there is often a wait, put yourself on the waitlist via Yelp on the ride over to prevent this! I suggest the gruyere and herbs omelette. Must try the Abelskivers!

We took a trip to Nola a few days before we went on our Disney cruise and this place was recommend by locals. It did not disappoint and honestly was the best brunch I’ve ever had from a restaurant. It stays busy but the wait time was only 15 mins. If you have time to stop for lunch while your in Nola highly suggested checking this place out

The Toast with prosciutto, honey, and ricotta were absolutely delicious!!! The Aebelskivers with Nutella were a fun way to have pancakes, and the crepes with fresh fruit were very refreshing. The cappuccino was perfect!! I think about returning regularly, I went back in 2018, and that's when the pictures are from, but I never left an adequate review for the delightful establishment.

I have travel around the US and good amount of the world and this place is by far one of the best breakfast places I have been to in a very long time. It is the local hole in the places hidden gems. Nice mom and pop family style owned restaurant. We walked in and were treated fairly promptly and asked if we could sit outside and they said sure find a spot and we will be right there. Waitress we had was amazing, she took care of needs was not overbearing like how some places are just trying to get orders in and turn tables real quick. She answered questions we had and her elegance and charm was wonderful. There was 4 of us and we choosed 2 items from the menu and was having difficulty choosing the other items and ask her to choose for us. Well you better believe it what she chooses was fantastic. Everything we order was cooked to perfection, no flavor overpowering anything and it all blended together amazing. Nothing was overcooked or under, I mean I was just blown away. Then we had these puffed pancake balls with their home made sauce and almost had tears coming down my eyes for how amazing they were. The whole meal was amazing, the service was beyond anything I was expecting. So if you are down in the Big Easy visiting or just live here give this place a visit and see for yourself.

Go here for real NOLA hospitality, food, service and atmosphere. Tourists must have a car to reach. Locals know this place. In the good weather, you can sit outside. It's fun to sit at the counter and watch the ballet of food creation and service. A definite 5-star of a place who knows who they are and loves what it does.

We were looking for a great breakfast/brunch spot in New Orleans outside of the French quarter. Glad we found Toast! The food was delicious, staff was friendly and helpful, and street parking was easy!

I don’t even know where to begin. We’re from out of town and were in search of a good breakfast spot. This place did NOT disappoint. We loved the BLT, the lyonnaise potatoes, the ratatouille, and the omelette. The service was great and fast. Loved the vibe and atmosphere of the place too. Really really recommend!

The food was extremely tasty and exceptionally original! The eggs were cooked as they were ordered and the grits were so savory. The Aebelskivers were the best part. A pancake pastry that came with your choice of a dipping. The restaurant had an original and home feeling to it. Our server, Nancy was very attentive and welcoming. The parking on the outside was a little tricky as you had to park either in the back on a side street or on the street in the front. However, nothing as expected as you would for any other New Orleans original restaurant. Overall, extremely happy and satisfied with this experiences. Nothing to start your day off right, then with a breakfast place like this. High recommend coming here for breakfast when you’re in Nola! Dishes ordered: (1) Classic Breakfast with Toast (2) Aebelskivers with Syrup (3) Omelette with Ratatouille, Goat Cheese, & Spinach with an extra side of Grits with Cheddar Cheese.

We had awful service. We were a party of 2 and the only people who walked in when we did. No wait. Hostess instructed that she would clean a booth for us. While she was cleaning. Others walked in and another employee sat the new customers in our booth. We had to wait. Then, they "forgot" to place our food order. After 30 minutes she noticed...we just left without eating.

This was by far my favorite breakfast joint in NOLA, so much so that we went twice in a week! The chicken and waffles, with that smoky spicy butter and juicy, flavorful chicken was hands down the best I've ever had. The hanger steak my partner ordered was delicious, and those aebelskivers (puffy little pancake clouds) with lemon curd was something out of a dream. Excellent service both times, and short waits too. Can't wait to come back!

Tiny little restaurant but the service was really good. The food was also pretty good but the pancake balls were nothing special. I had and def recommend the chicken and waffles. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy and the Cajun butter was on point.

We wanted a table for eight on a Saturday morning which was a big ask, but - as with everything on this trip - they smiled and found a way. We sat outside on a warm October day and appreciated the about extensions which kept the sun from being unpleasant. Service was efficient and pretty fast, without being at all pushy. Our server was all smiles and happiness, which was lovely. The coffee was Joe - it was ok and I've had a lot worse. The OJ was fresh and the member of our group who chose an Irish coffee said it was a little long on whiskey, which is hardly a criticism! Two of our party ordered the brisket burgers, which were so wonderfully thick that they were a*little* overcooked on the outside to get the correct temperature internally. Next time, we'd probably order one step cooler. The eggs were poached to absolute perfection and the bread is good. I bake a lot and I'm *very* picky about bread, so "good" is high praise. We will definitely be back.

Great place for a big breakfast that is reasonably priced. Interesting interior that shows the original woodwork and support structures. Everything order came out hot and well presented. Excellent choice for all.

My daughter and I took advantage of having a weekday off and stopped in to have breakfast. I went for the waffles sandwich with ham, eggs, avocado and pimento cheese; I was skeptical of the pimento cheese, but the entire thing worked well together! The server suggested the lyonnaise potatoes as my side instead of grits, and that was a very solid choice. My daughter had the chicken and waffles, with maple syrup and cayenne butter, which she absolutely loved. The only thing I would ask to be different if we were to go back, would be to maybe toast the waffle little just to make it easier to handle.

We waited for a very long time just to place our order. Others were waited on before us, even though they came after. Food was a little cold. Ticket was wrong. Restaurant was extremely busy. My recommendation is a little more organization between staff.

Fantastic dining experience. We went on a Sunday morning with about a 30 minute wait, which is to be expected. The wait is worth it. Our server, Desiree, was great. We adored the Aebelskivers with house made strawberry jam and chocolate sauce. The catfish, grits, and eggs were also phenomenal. We’ll be back, but hopefully earlier in the day :)

The food is as always excellent. I invited one of my coworker friends to join me for brunch and we were delighted with the food, there was a slight vibe issue with the female server that we had but we didn’t let it bother us. She just might’ve been having a bad day.

Absolutely overrated and overpriced breakfast place. Service was terrible, food was amateurish, and most of all, price was over the top. I have come to believe that most of the positive reviews here are written by either tourists or newcomers in town.

Crowded, busy; had to send back steak which came rare and dripping blood, not medium as asked. Helpful server, though.
