This place is sooo good! If you are a fan of tortas ahogadas and Mexican food this is your place.

The food is very good, the original Guadalajara drowned cakes are made just the same as there and the tejuino too. The service is fast and the employees are very friendly.

Llegamos al lugar gracias a la recomendación de la persona del alquiler de autos. El servicio es rápido y la comida excelente. La torta ahogada es bastante grande. Yo no pude terminarla. Tal vez lo mejor es pedir una para compartir y también pedir algo más. En la ida al baño me encontré con un señor cortando carne para milanesas. Me las recomendó pero ya estaba ultra lleno como para pedir algo más. Esperemos que la próxima me acuerde y pida eso. Lo mejor también fue acompañar la comida con una Jarritos.

The food quality is really good and the price is reasonable. They are famous for their torta ahogada, but their burritos are better imo. The rams fan burrito had caramelized onions and the tortilla was toasted and perfectly wrapped. The kitchen was bustling and people were always coming in to pick up food.

Food is great. I just wouldn't eat the total. It tasted good, just they put it on hard bread. Everything still was delicious. Poole was delicious

Good food and the service was fast and staff were nice to me and friendly. I ordered a small portion of fish ceviche 🐠 that was fresh tasty alongside a beef tostada 🌮 that had fresh veggies and soft meat. The green salsa was ok, i wish it tasted more green but was till fine.

This is a really small place, with questionable parking. All that aside the food is amazing! The service is friendly and the people that I recommended the restaurant to or just as happy as I was to eat there. It seems super authentic and that carnitas were fire.

There were 4 of us, we requested our food on the counter and paid. When the food is ready they call your number. They sell Sodas, and mexican watters such as, Horchata and others. They have water bottles as well as any other srinks. No alcoholic drinks. The lengua ( beef tongue) tacos were delicious served with cilantro anion and your choice of salsa. You can ask for salsa on the side. The Nachos were big , the 4 of us enjoyed them .they were delicious but this were nachos without cheese (never before ) this was a first. Lots of beans ans meat among the guacamole and cream but no cheese. The place was clean and the service very good. They deliver and do curve pickup.

This is my go-to place every time i have a chance at work, i just went today and got a Burrito de pierna, absolutely amazing as always, and that red sauce is as spicy as it is good. Like i said, i will always eat here every time i have a chance, try the shrimp burrito!!! Size, flavor and quality you can really taste, all of my support to this business and the owner who actually cares about the REAL FOOD they serve 💯❤️🐢🏝

Tortuga bay was fantastic. Nice staff, fast and delicious food and affordable! You can eat either inside or outside. I ate outside vut inside is welcoming as well. Ordered the sincronizada and a Barbacoa taco. The taco was juicy and fantastic. I had never heard of a sincronizada before. I thought I would be having something similar to a pupusa because the menu states the flour tortilla is stuffed.... it was basically a quesidilla. Very interesting item. Practically a sandwich but with a delicious tortilla instead of bread. Ham, mayo, mustard, lettuce and jalapeños. It was good. I will definately come back here and try some of their other items that also look bomb. The homemade hot sauce is spicy and so good, so make sure you add it to everything you get ! ¡Viva la Tortuga Bay!

Definitely one of the better places in LA to get tortas ahogadas. Nothing compares to the ones in Guadalajara but Tortuga Bay definitely hits the spot. Their tacos are also pretty good. And their carne en su jugo is decent too.

First off they customer service sucks , Secondly I ordered 3 carne asada tacos and the meat was not carne Asada it had no type of flavor or seasoning and the meat was tuff . The green salsa was watery and don’t taste right I would Never eat there again first time and the last Would not recommend this place at all. When I walked IN I should of walked back out just on how the place looks . Never again !!!!

This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever ate at. I ordered two sopas. One chicken and one steak. They boiled the chicken and I'm not sure what kind of meat was the asada. The sauce is watery. Never eat there people. They should be closed down

Been here less than a handful of times because of the distance I'm pregnant decide to take the trip. I wanted to use the restroom before getting back on the road. I've used the bathroom before & i was told they don't have a restroom. Big NO! Won't be returning. Food was mediocre i think my first time when I came here was the best other than that its been whatever. Service is poor.

The best tortas augadas I've had in LA !! Also the tacos dorados de papa and frijol are pretty delicious. I would also recommend the tacos de barbacoa which I had only one and I wish I would have had 2 more.

okay so three stars because food is good , but there’s two adult ladies here who really need to get checked by their boss… i only keep going because the food and the taste but in my opinion owner needs to fire these two adult females before his business goes down the drain !! i literally have experienced how rude they can be to their other coworkers makes my blood boil

Everything was good. Except that they didn't have tacos al pastor (that's what we went for). Tortas aogadas and tacos de birria were awesome. Can't wait till we go again, I will call to make sure they have the tacos de pastor before leaving the house.

Wanted to eat somewhere close to the forum and found this place. We were hesitant at first but decided to give it a try. I got the po-boy shrimp sandwich and my wife got the tacos. The food was amazing, we loved every bit of of. Will definitely go again!
