what a neat place! super friendly staff, super cool little shop with such an interesting and refreshing food menu, japanese savory foods and breakfast items! i had the miso ramen which was wonderful, the karaage chicken nuggets were nice and juicy, it paired really well with the broth.

Very small place with sandwiches and a limited selection of sushi. There are some unusual Asian snacks available for purchase, as well. I got a rainbow roll, and iced tea. The roll was good, and the tea was excellent.

What I love about toshi's - beyond being a third shift worker addicted to sushi and having a place to get it in the morning hahahaa - is they're always expanding the menu to new awesome things I really want. Ramen, kara-age, onigiri! And now, boba milk tea!! There's only one flavor at this time but it's incredible. May be too sweet for some so ask for less - but it's better than kung fu tea!

Recommend this quaint hidden gem. So far, I've only ordered breakfast items to go. All good. Croissant egg 'n cheese and bacon, yum. Breakfast Veggie Burrito, yum. Three egg omelette, made to order and customized, yum. Next, I must try the dinners. Salute' to Tosh, Mika and staff Molly.

This used to be my favorite place to dine since 2007. But during my most recent visit, this place was so different from what I remembered them to be...The atmosphere is very unique and all. But they added a lot of American breakfast and lunch items which is totally fine but their sushi roll was a huge disappointment...they doubled the amount of rice on the sushi and there was barely any filling which is a pretty common practice that is implemented during times of inflation at all...but ugh the quality of the food is different from what it used to be...

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Greensboro. Everytime I go here, the owner and other staff provide the highest quality of customer service, but that’s not the best part… they serve the tastiest lattes, breakfast foods, sushi, smoothies, and so much more for such a low price. Not to mention you can play Mario while you wait. Also, a great place to trinket shop.

Came in the other day for lunch. A gentleman at the register made the turkey melt himself. The way that young man crafts a sandwich, you’d think god bestowed that talent upon him at birth. Such precision with that knife. Not too burnt and not too plain, so tender yet flavorful. It was just right. I can’t for the life of me remember his name but it started with a T. Terrence, or Torrey, or Mr T shall we call you…thank you. In my heart I call you the Turkey Melt Maestro. The Turkey Melt Mozart. It sounds silly until you’ve tasted it. Please order this, he will blow you away.

Some of the best sushi I have had in the state or on the East coast. Sits up high with some of my top places I have tried in Vancouver or the NE. The atmosphere is really cool with the video games while you wait. Will be back when I’m in Greensboro. Owner was super nice

Toshi's Cafe has a unique restaurant. It's a great breakfast place in the morning, with fantastic coffee and nice mix of breakfast foods (I like the sausage, egg and cheese with tomato and spicy mayo). If you want healthy, the Egg White Delight is really good. By afternoon and evening, they're a legit sushi shop, plus sandwiches and smoothies. It's a great little "mom and pop" shop.

Hidden gem. Authentic. I lived in Japan for six weeks and the onigiri here stand the test. I recommend the salmon with the ginger sauce. Also, they make a totally legit espresso.

I stumbled upon the CUTEST cafe in #greensboro recently called @toshiscafe It’s nestled in the Adams Farm Shopping Center. 🍵 They have a variety of snacks 🍘 and food 🌯perfect for any time of the day in addition to coffee ☕️and delicious drinks. 🧋 This is a perfect place to sit and do some work, grab lunch with a special someone or to just decompress! 😌 They have a little video game station and a sauce station too!🎮

I frequently visit this cafe, and I have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the decor is authentic and well-crafted. Toshi, the owner of the cafe is frequently there and is always very kind and attentive to make sure that everything comes out perfect. The menu is full of delicious options, from traditional Japanese dishes to cozy breakfast choices. The prices are fair and the quality is always very good. Supporting small businesses is important to me and Toshis cafe really stands out due ti is consistent high quality food, coffee, and customer service. The owner is clearly passionate about their business, and it shows in every aspect of the experience.

I used to love this place and went quite often until today that I did take out around 11:50am and found shrimp tails in my sister’s fries as if someone was eating and just threw them in there.. I’m highly disappointed since it was my favorite lunch spot :(

Was disappointed that none of the four sushi orders included ginger or wasabi. It definitely made a difference in my experience as my roll was bland and I’ve never known any sushi restaurant that didn't include this.

I've had food from here a few times, and always felt sick afterwards. The fish tastes like it came from the harris teeter next door, and the owner is a coward that doesn't take responsibility or pay his employees properly. If you have to eat in this shopping center I suggest Apple China, or skipping the middle man and getting sushi from Harris Teeter instead. They at least follow proper business practices there and aren't cleaning toilets with their bare hands before prepping food that isn't ever dated.

Daughter went here for lunch. 3 hours later she was hanging over a toilet for 4 hours. She got sushi, and is now completely turned off by it.

me and my friends always come here together. its such a chill cafe. there are so many cute things like manga, snacks, videogames, and even cool stationary things to purchase. i love the variety of food that there is. my go to order is a crab supreme with a berry moose and a unsweet green tea. smoothies here are pretty good too, i try to taste a new one every time i go.

We randomly wanted some sushi and decided to try Toshis Cafe based the online reviews and they definitely lived up to their reputation. We had the Crab Supreme, Katie's Delight, Fried Gyoza, Macaroni Salad, Chai tea latte and their organic coffee. EVERYTHING was delicious and the service was wonderful. They have outdoor seating that's comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend this place and all of the items that were mentioned above!

The Katie's delish is a favorite. The bowls are also delicious. Service is wonderful. Gyoza is also delish! We have never had a bad experience.

Toshi's is an all time favorite. Who else makes sushi this good? And he has wonderful frappes and breakfast burritos for the morning.

I have been going to Toshi's for years, since I was in high school, and the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff and Owner have never wavered! Highly recommend getting the Carmen's or Katie's Delight if you're a fan of crispy, fried sushi rolls. I make it a mission to come visit Toshi's anytime I'm in town, and just love coming in to visit -- they have something new in their restaurant every time I go, from new snacks, grab and go pastries, and even stationary! We love Toshi's!

This place may seem small in a busy shopping center but it's well worth it and lived up to the food service and quality it's recognized for. Everything they have from foods to drinks and other snacks are all well worth it. I've stopped on lunch breaks, breakfast times. They have a call in for placed orders if you are a few mins away they'll have your food ready!!!

Loved my experience! The service was excellent, I didn’t feel rushed, he was super nice and kind and patient. The food was yummy, was particularly surprised with how good the smoothie was. Wish i had the chance to try the sushi but it was too early in the morning for that haha! Highly recommend!

Interesting place but if you're going for good food don't bother. I had their chicken Ramen and shrimp tempura sushi. Both were so-so. And for the low quality of food they were expensive. I went because of the ratings and how close they were to where I was staying. Won't go again. Much better Ramen elsewhere in the area.

This is such a cute little place. Beautiful interior. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered couple of things and they were all delicious. The sushi tasted fresh. Salmon on bagel was great too except the bagel. it was a bit too hard to bite. Overall a great experience and i will definitely be going back. I loved their outdoor seating.

The chicken cutlet wrap was fine, could use more flavor. The chicken it self was soft and tender. Was kind of disappointed with the amount of fries they give but it is what it is.

Toshi's Cafe is a wonderful little spot with excellent food and very friendly staff. I ordered the katsu-don and it was quite flavorful. My sister had the bento box, and each piece from it (she let me sample them) was delicious. The chicken in particular had an amazing flavor and was quite juicy. The restaurant had a very relaxed atmosphere and I appreciated the manga that were displayed on the wall. I will say that if you plan on reading the manga, be aware of the fact that these are Japanese prints so you have to be able to read hiragana and some kanji to enjoy them. I will definitely be back again to sample other things from their menu.

10/10 I love it still to this day! Their Happy Rolls are one of my personal favorites and you should definitely try it out!

After moving from the PNW, I thought id never find good sushi again. Boy, was I wrong. Not only were the portions double what id get back home, but the quality puts even the fanciest sushi restaurant back there to SHAME. The nigiri really, genuinely, lived up to the title of nigiri- It was the size of my palm!!! Their ramen also competes with some of the best ive had. The texture of the noodles and richness of the tonkatsu broth are qualities Ive rarely seen in other shops. Even after driving an hour home to eat it, it was as if it was freshly made. Also!! This place sells miturashi dango! Thats a treat that I havent seen outside anime conventions in YEARS! Needless to say, I WILL be coming back as often as my schedule permits.

Great little shop but my only complaint is that they don't include the soy sauce/wasabi/ginger in the bag when you order it, you have to remember to get it before you leave. If someone orders sushi it should be obvious that the condiments will be wanted so maybe put them in the bag with the order.

I run the Autobell right next to Toshis and I get breakfast regularly and I have nothing but good things to say. Incredible employees, incredible food and even an incredible atmosphere. This is what small businesses are all about.

The theme is awesome and the fact that you can grab your favorite manga and grab a bite to eat is a great concept! But as for the food, it could be better. I had their ramen. At first glance, it's presentation was good , but as I actually dug into the food , just lack of flavor or seasoning in the broth and the noodles were over cooked. As for their pork buns, they were pretty good. Overall just think they should review their menu items . And see if it's worth selling the ramen at all, since you only have one flavor. Bland.

Had the best experience today and am devastated we had not been prior! My husband, son and I enjoyed some absolutely delicious sushi and steam buns today! My husband is Japanese and we have not been pleased with most sushi establishments in the area! We typically drive to big cities for good sushi, and now, we don’t have to! This was so good! Thankful we found it!

"A giant among the hidden gems I've stumbled upon" I've been told about Toshi's recently by a friend. Which is pretty common in terms of true gems, that their information isn't passed around on cards or inadvertent ads that annoy you on the day to day. Toshi's is the kind of place that you only tell the closest of friends about. The ones that won't disturb it's peaceful atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you want to go with a close friend or loved one and have a place to settle down and let the day to day melt away from your body just on the entrance alone. Upon going in, I was greeted by the Owner themselves and was able to find out that they had been in operations for 10 years which truly bewildered me considering Greensboro is my standard stomping grounds for finding places but alas, I guess this was the right time lol. I also looked just to the left of the counter and was able to find Kewpie Mayo, Bulldog Tomkatsu sauce, and some rice seasonings among the galore of other items that were featured such as sweets, spices, varying ramen styles, and drinks! Afterwards I went back to the counter and looked at the menu and went with the California Crunch. Which is pretty much a California roll with some spicy mayo and crunchy bits on it and it was just astounding the flavor and love that went into these little bites of heaven! Also grabbed an Asahi "super dry" because why the heck not lol; They're delicious and was also gifted a small doughnut that truly wasn't overpowering and coupled well with the flavors on my plate and in my bottle. While Toshi's has a quiet atmosphere, it's humbling and honestly just one of the very definitions of vibe and aesthetic. Especially considering the MASSIVE Manga collection on the wall as well as the SNES classic set up for customers to be able to enjoy themselves with. Hopefully, if you're lost or need an atmosphere where you can just think coupled with delicious food, service, and amenities, take a hop to Toshi's and see what the quiet rage is all about. I'll be back soon with my significant other and look forward to her first experience here. And hopefully I'll get to thank Toshi again for the delicious experience.

Came here out of curiosity and the visit was well worth it. Having been to Japan I was surprised to find out how perfect their takoyaki was, crunchy, fluffy and not chewy. We also tried a rice bowl and sushi roll, both delicious! Cute little place!
