Okay, so here are the positives- There's no doubt that Julie is passionate about cakes and Martha is a great balance to Julie's energy. The cake that we received for our wedding looked exactly like the design we sent; it was stunning. Some of our guests got good cake. That's where the positives end, unfortunately. Here's what ultimately happened: Our wedding date was originally for May 2020. We had a contract with Sprinkles, the previous bakery. Like many weddings, Covid led us to postpone until May 7, 2022. In that time, Sprinkles was bought out by Tru~Cakes. We were having a destination wedding so we drove from Miami to Orlando for a second cake tasting and to meet the new owners. Even after emailing them, the flavors we asked to try for the tasting were wrong. They went into the back and made some fresh flavors to try, it happens. They were very confident that they weren't like other bakers and were able to supply a cake was delicious as much as it was beautiful, difficult but not impossible. We wanted the top tier for our anniversary and additionally, we ordered popcorn for all our guests as favors. Two days before the wedding, we dropped by for one last meeting. We noticed that they were using a resealable ziploc bag and we asked them if that was for ours and they reassured us that no, we were getting the bags shown on the website. We reiterated that we were excited to keep the top tier for our anniversary, and they gleefully agreed with us. The day of wedding: -they were an hour and 15 minutes late -they didn't call or text us to inform us that they were running late -when my coordinator called, they denied providing a measurable ETA -upon arrival and throughout the night, they were frazzled installing the cake. Some guests who arrived early to help in the setup even noticed. -they were short on the popcorn order -they (two days later) admitted to putting the wrong cake in one of our tiers -the third flavor we chose was missing a key ingredient -they cut and served our top tier because they admitted that they never wrote down that they were supposed to keep the top tier -one of the popcorn flavors was incorrect -they told me in the middle of my wedding night that Julie was exhausted and they were just going to deliver the cake and not serve it, and by the time I had resolved it with the venue, they agreed to cut it -none of this was properly communicated at the end of the night -and since they cut the top tier, we took home two boxes of cakes that went to waste After a talk on the phone, they accepted responsibility, offered to make us three cakes, which we denied because our guests were already gone. The wedding was over. It was a missed opportunity on their part, and I can't get my time back either. They agreed to a 50% refund on the entire order. The tiers that were made right tasted great, and the cake as a whole looked beautiful. They have been in the industry for decades so I expected more from them. We worked hard on preventing this type of thing from happening at our wedding. Unfortunately this was the case for us with Tru~Cakes.

I got married in March 2024 at the Coral Springs Marriott (outside of Heron Bay) located in the greater Fort Lauderdale, FL area. I hired TruCakes for a Dessert Bar at our Sangeet for our Indian Wedding. We were beyond excited when our Caterer referred us to Julie! Trucakes is a mom-daughter duo operated company based in Orlando, FL and they’re both such fun humans to work with! Julie had us hooked when she said she understood the difference between vegetarian, eggless and vegan! But then she really drew us in when she said she does Indian-fusion desserts! Julie brought a beautiful tablescape with lights and trees. Each dessert was in individual servings which only added to the depth and texture of the dessert bar! All of our guests loved the unique flavors and that everything was eggless! We selected our dessert bar menu, and Julie surprised us with a few extra flavors (still within our budget)! Julie absolutely went above and beyond in so many ways for us! Julie can make almost anything you can dream of! Our personality favorite is her Ras Malai Tres Leches and Pistachio Shortbread Cookie. Absolutely hire TruCakes for your next event!

Tru-Cakes took our inspirational design for cake and matching floral cupcakes and nailed it. It was for our grandmother’s 100th birthday and the family loved the attention to detail and beauty of the cake and cupcakes.

Tru-Cakes is amazing! Julie is friendly, professional, punctual, and amazingly talented. All I had to do was send her a pic of my daughter’s birthday invitation, and she nailed it! The design was beautiful, and the cake was the talk of the party. No one wanted to cut into it! Once we did though, we were very happy, as it was delicious! Julie and Martha were extremely knowledgeable from the moment my husband and I met with them. From deciding on flavors, texture and presentation they completely understood our desires. We shared our ideas and they managed to put it all together and create what we call a masterpiece for our wedding! Our guests were in awe of how beautifully it turned out. We couldn't have asked for a better cake on our most special day. We are fortunate to have trusted Tru-Cakes and look forward to continuing business with these amazing ladies!!!

The time and effort that went into making this cake was nothing short of impressive. They spoke to me on video chat for almost 2 hours just to make sure I was getting everything I dreamed of. The flavors were so fun a different but also very delicious. My husband and I both have lots of food allergies so not only did she make us special cupcakes to eat at our reception of the different flavors we picked for the wedding cake, she also baked in a section of allergen free cake into the wedding cake just so we could cut into our cake for pictures and feed it to each other. At the same time, our guests were able to enjoy the “normal” delicious allergy filled cake. She and another baker came just to disassemble the cake and set the layers up so that guests could sample all of the flavors. 12/10, 5 stars etc. You will not be disappointed! I’m so glad I trusted them with my special day! I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out!

First, I want to say that the cake tasted great & everything was delivered/set up on time. Unfortunately, the cake was simply not what was in the original contract. We asked for 3 groupings and a topping with a mix of various colors (Lavender, blush, ivory, and blue). There was only one rose on each layer despite paying for a grouping of roses. Plus, the rose was the wrong color. This cake was VERY expensive. I am really disappointed that we paid for a cake that was simply not what we asked for at all. I have tried to contact the business via email but have yet to hear back from them.

Tru Cakes made my wedding cake, I was hoping for sprinkles because of the beautiful cakes I have seen. That being said Tru Cakes did make what we wanted and delivered it on time and it showed up fine but the cake itself was sloppy. The gold designs looked like they bled under the stencil and our initial was very lumpy as well. We also had some complaints on taste. I did have another cake, since I am allergic to gluten egg and dairy, made by a different bakery that was vanilla and people preferred the gluten free and vegan cake. I'm disappointed with how I was treated from discussing the cake to the end result.

Sprinkles were introduced to us by our wedding venue and we could not be happier with them. Naomi is super responsive and helpful. Richard is also great. He listened to our vision and brought it to life. We really enjoyed our take-home taster plate. We made a fun session out of it with my now husband and my parents in law. On our wedding day, I was sooo happy with the way it turned out. I can't stop looking at the photos. Our guests were very complimenting of the cake. It was super delicious!!

Richard and his team made a birthday cake for my wives birthday, they did a great job!! They were extremely easy to work with, on time, fair prices and the flavor were on point. Got my wedding cake here and they were really nice to work with. Quick to respond and easily dealt with several changes I had from a shift in date to the amount of cake needed. Red velvet tasted like real red velvet, not red food dye! Cake design was perfect from what I described!

Cake is not great, nor are the fillings, many of which taste as though they are not scratch made.

Sprinkles Custom Cakes not only delivered such a gorgeous wedding cake, but a delicious one as well! We were deciding between two bakers, Sprinkles and another when we were deciding on a wedding cake vendor. We brought home tasting plates from both companies the same day to make our decision. We had high hopes for the other baker, but when we tasted their cake, the buttercream had a heavy film and the actual cake was dry at best. We were also given a smaller selection of cakes and frosting. When we turned to Sprinkles, our hopes had been dimmed as we thought that perhaps all wedding cakes were simply all show and no flavor. Sprinkles changed our minds. They had a wide selection of cake mixes and frostings for us to mix-and-match and even included a sheet with popular combinations on it. They even included an extra tasting plate for my mother when they asked who would be doing the tasting with us at home. Everything was divine! The owner makes fresh, home-made amaretto for the fillings and frosting. We had such a difficult time deciding on flavors since they were all so delicious and fresh. When we decided on a two-tier cake and got down to pricing, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that this beautiful, gold-foil cake was over $100 less than the other less savory baker we had tried. Additionally, our purchase also includes a free anniversary cake a year from our wedding day! Everything from Sprinkles was spectacular from their customer service to the gorgeous presentation the day of. Thank you Sprinkles!

Last year, a last minute effort to do a birthday party lead me to Sprinkles and they took the idea I had and enhance 1000x more than what I had in mind. This year, I knew I had to use them for my Godbaby 1st birth day and I was not disappointed. The cake didn't only look good but also taste good and within an hour of cutting it, it was all gone. This company worked so well with the destination wedding I just had! The zoom calls, emails and communication was great! The cake....I don’t even think I got a bite!! The cake was beautiful, and tasted great! We chose to do different flavors on two tiers and there wasn’t a piece left! I had our florist work with the Sprinkles Cakes and it turned out amazing, matched the other flower pieces and fit the cake perfect!

Sprinkles was included in our wedding Package with Wyndham Grand Orlando and it was AMAZING. All the flavors were amazing at the tasting, and Richard was so kind. He took my cake vision and made it come to life and we loved working with his team!

Amazing service even better cake! Richard and Naomi are a true pleasure to work with. They were very responsive and offered great advice throughout the entire process. We were on a tight budget due to covid as many couples are now and Naomi offered us many options that would fit our budget . Even though we weren't spending a few grand on a wedding cake you certainly could not tell with how great we were treated! Richard truly knows how to run a professional business. We absolutely loved our Sprinkles Cake at our wedding last month. It was beautiful and tasted amazing. We had our planning appointment virtually and Richard was incredibly thorough and sketched our cake for us while on the call. They also add a special touch by including an anniversary cake that we get on our 1 year anniversary, so excited. We highly recommend Sprinkles!!!

Sprinkles did a great job and they were flexible with changes I needed to make due to the pandemic. My wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. One of my guests said it was the best wedding cake she’s ever had of all the weddings she’s ever been to!
