Wow this place’s food was off the chain. Little smaller than we thought, But the food was amazing . Service was also spot on. 5 stars all around.

This place is like a hidden gem in Islamorada. Great atmosphere and excellent food/ service. The tuna nachos were excellent. Our waitress was amazing. I definitely recommend this place 100%.

Our little go-to for a bite on the way to the Lower Keys. We usually get the 1lb. Shrimp Basket with a side of fries. Super fresh and super tasty! They have other items, but the way they season the shrimp is so freakin' good... it's a light breading with spice, and it's awesome! Update 9/29/30: Had the blackened chicken wraps with fried and smoked fish dip, which were tasty! Update 9/1/2024 Had the Tuna nachos this time. This is seared Ahi tuna! A bargain for the plate. Very tasty!

Separate fryer for fries and all fried fish gluten free. Great food

Stopped for lunch on our way to Marathon. I have a gluten allergy and always struggle stopping at random roadside spots. But OMG… what a find!! Majority of their menu is gluten free and can be made in a separate gluten free fryer upon request. My husband had the Shrimp Po Boy (full gluten) and loved it. I had the fish and chips that are gluten free and loved them! Our waiter Thomas was amazing too. He was super friendly and enthusiastic about the menu. Definitely stopping here on our way home! Highly recommend for anyone but ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A GLUTEN ALLERGY!

Best fried shrimp EVER!!! My wife had the grilled mahi mahi and shrimp. It’s was amazing!!! Our server “Thomas” was outstanding!!! Food was served hot and was seasoned perfectly!!!

The food at Twisted Shrimp was PHENOMENAL!! We had the fried shrimp basket and each ordered a different side. The brussel sprouts were excellent, the fried okra was fabulous, and the fries were great!! Thomas was our server and did a fantastic job!!! Even the cooks came to check on us to see if we needed anything! We HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!

Not sure why we waited so long to try this place. Everything was made to order in the open kitchen style restaurant!! Small cozy place and cute for pictures out front. Thomas, our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and gave excellent recommendations. We had the whiskey burger, fried shrimp po-boy, tuna nachos (different than the usual keys style) friend Brussel sprouts, fried okra, and the special which was carnitas and shrimp quesadilla. All were delish and portions were made for leftovers!!! Don't drive by this place again, give it a try. Can't wait to go back

Got conch fritters, 1/2lb shrimp, and fries. All superb and have very subtle richness in their flavors and how they're fried. Obviously a lot of ratings but was very quite and comfortable during lunch. Lovely little diner

Food was amazing small place with small business vibes which I love. You can see the cook making your food and our waiter was on top of everything he made sure we had everything we needed and gave amazing service to everyone there. Am definitely recommending the place to friends and family.

The shrimp po boy must try! I shared with my hubby a rice bowls made with fresh baked taco bowls filled with shrimp and we added mahi mahi on the top grilled pineapple, and a cup of crab soup it was like a perfect combo. Great place when you don’t wanna dress up like me today after water sports, or just grab a great fresh seafood! Outdoor design is really cute, our server was so friendly! Definitely back for a light lunch or a dinner. “Koszonom “

Thomas was great!! My husband had the shrimp po boy which he said was excellent. I had the chicken tacos which was great. The mango salsa adds a nice fresh taste for the summer. Crab cake app was the best we ever had. A must try. If you are looking for a nice friendly place with great food you must give this place a try.

Very cute small spot to grab a bite for lunch. The shrimp is phenomenal! Ordered the Jerk Shrimp and sweet potato fries. Highly recommend. It was so good, I finished my plate and didn’t get a pic before… so here is the after.

We were looking for a place to eat lunch as we were leaving the Keys that “accepts dogs” and the Twisted Shrimp popped up as an option with great reviews so we thought we would give it a try. Thankfully, we were looking out for it or we would have driven right by unknowingly. The food is Amazing!!! We had the conch fritters, tuna nachos and the crab cake apps and all were Delicious! For lunch we had the lobster bisque, shrimp and grits, poke bowls and a cheeseburger. Hands down “The Best Food” we had in the Keys after a weeks stay and eating out from Key Largo to Key West. Bella, our server was wonderful also. The Twisted Shrimp is now on our annual go-to list.

The shrimp was great, and the service was top notch. I’d definitely eat here again. My kids enjoyed sitting in the boat table. Definitely try the brussel sprouts too!

Small space with Big taste ! Great place to eat on your way in or out of the Keys . Coconut Shrimp are crispy and delicious. Burgers great and fish and chips are light and crispy . Thomas makes your experience more enjoyable with his enthusiastic service.

Very cute and awesome restaurant! The food was amazing. The seafood was fresh and very tasty. You walk in and it smells fresh. Our server Thomas was very sweet and friendly. The mahi tacos were spectacular. 10/10 recommend.

Food is phenomenal, fresh, and taste delicious. We had the large order of fried shrimp, shrimp tacos, and our son had the fried fish order for kids and everything was delicious! Will definitely eat here again!

When we arrived before 9 p.m., the kitchen was unusually closed because the Copa America final was being played that day. However, the owner was nice enough to help us and recommended two other eateries with similar menus and prices in the area (north and south). Great approach. I would love to visit this place again and try the shrimp.

This is the best place for celiacs! We originally found this place looking for a gf key lime pie near our condo. The staff knew what was gluten free and how it was Prepared! The fish and chips were delicious …fresh and Crispy! It is impossible to have an opportunity to enjoy breaded fish and chips that you don’t have to worry about cross contamination! There are so many gluten free options to enjoy At the twisted shrimp. The soups are amazing, creamy and so satisfying! We tried all three gluten free options and they were incredible. We were amazed at how good the boom boom shrimp was! It was our family’s favorite! We actually made an order to go! And the gluten freee key line pie was a solid choice as well! We have multiple family members that are gf and dairy free and this is a wonderful choice for a family with food allergies! We would 100% recommend the twisted shrimp!

Easily the best shrimp my wife and I have ever had. Their fried shrimp basket was incredible and the shrimp tacos are my go-to. We came a year ago on our trip to the keys and just had to make sure to stop here again. Incredible food!

Thomas was an excellent server! Very welcoming and inviting. This is a family owned business and even the chef came to speak to us! The food was delicious, I had the shrimp tacos and my husband had the chef special Mahi & Shrimp rice bowl. Definitely recommend and would go again.

Very casual dinner but the food was fantastic. Seared tuna nachos delicious, mahi seasoned and cooked perfectly. Don't underestimate this place or overlook it, Mandi really worked hard to keep everyone happy and the food is genuinely excellent

We found this place because it was walking distance of SunOutdoors in Island Miranda . We did not have high Expectations but the food and service was Outstanding and my wife truly Appreciated the Gluten Free menu and getting to have Fried fish with Gluten free batter.. Just amazing.... So nice to be told up front that the menu has so many selections that are truly Gluten Free. Thank You Again... " twisted Shrimp.. and Tom took Great care of us!!

Service was spot on! Food was fresh, and hot. Very good. All gluten-free. Taste was not compromised n fact it was so delicious and we were not bloated after dinner even had enough room for a piece of key lime pie!

Visited after a recommendation from a friend and glad we did! We ordered coconut shrimp - excellent, multiple rice bowls - EXCELLENT, really good tacos and a chicken wrap. Service was fast and friendly, the manager brought out a fan for us to sit outside and the waitress even caught us trying to take a photo and jumped in to take it for us!

Went here by recommendation of a friend while visiting the area. I have to start by mentioning the customer service. While sitting outside we were offered a large fan to blow at our table which helped cool down the Florida heat, while asking for recommendations we got lots of helpful suggestions, and before leaving the waitress jumped on the opportunity to take a picture for us The chicken rice bowl was fantastic, and a large portion, loved the edible bowl which was great to tear off and eat. The coconut shrimp had a great crunch and paired sauce. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu based on the quality of the food we received.

Very small cool vibe restaurant. Walk in the door and Bella is right there to greet you with a wonderful smile. The kitchen is right in front, as well. Simple small table set up inside. Outdoor tables under umbrellas. Nothing fancy so just kick back and chill!! Enjoyed the Tuna Rice Bowl and the Mahi and Shrimp platter. Key brewery beers available and enjoyed! So food, Bella, and the vibe are worth checking it out!

I’ve been coming to this restaurant since they opened and guests could write on the walls. The food is always delicious and cooked to perfection. The service is quick and nice, with a very welcoming atmosphere. I come here every time I can and love it! This place is a must try!

Shrimp n grits were absolutely amazing. The flavor of the sauce was delightfully different from every other SnG I've had, and the portion was just the right amount. Easily the best Shrimp and grits to date.

We've been in the Keys for the past week. This was the BEST food I've had eating out the entire trip. Loved it. I'm stuffed. Got the Rice Bowl, but snacked off the plates of everyone else.

Super cute little spot with amazing food. Inside seating for 20. Best wonton chips, ahi tuna in a wonton bowl with jasmine rice, fish dip with sesame seed crackers. Alll amazing. Only thing lacking is music. Will definitely come back

Excellent service. Sat outside and enjoyed the atmosphere. I had the shrimp and grits which was fabulous. My husband had a wrap and thought it was great. He also enjoyed one of the local craft beers. Overall a great experience and we will definitely come here again.

Small place but 10 times better than some of the big places.

It’s now on our must stop at list when we visit the keys. The food is always great tasting and the service is great.

My wife has celiac disease and this place was by far the best gluten free fried sea food we have ever had. Bella gave amazing service. We live in Sarasota and even though we are vacationing in the Keys, this place alone is worth the ride. Don’t miss out and come to this great spot!!!

Unpretentious place, Reasonably priced, nice Staff, super service Much better than many of The tourist traps which serve poorer quality food at twice the price. We have been back and will again.

Wonderful time! We brought in a larger party and they were very accommodating! Friendly staff and delicious food! The kids loved being able to eat in the boat in the front yard!

Great hole in the wall. Almost didn't go, but glad we did. Food was fresh and delicious. Definitely simple....nothing fancy. But great service and well priced. They even let us move tables around to accommodate our party. Staff and/or locals didn't seem to mind cranky kids already tired from traveling . Happy we found it.

Excellent seared ahi tuna tacos! I recommend asking for a side of spicy ranch to dip your fries in. They have a delicious Kölsch beer called Iguana bait, which is very refreshing in the summer heat. The server was very friendly and attentive. It’s a small place so the food took slightly longer than expected, but it was well worth the wait. We’ll be back!

Food is great the price is incredible a lot better than a lot of other places in the area. And the food is delicious I just wish they had more tables inside. But we all loved the food. The fried shrimp was outstandingly delicious 😋

Little roadside restaurant has excellent food. Try the tuna nachos, shrimp or anything on the menu.

We had a nice meal here. It was casual and they served us quickly. The blackened Mahi was delicious. The tuna nachos were also good. A generous serving and the fish was great. Great options for kids here and very clearly marked and numerous gluten free options which you don't see frequently in the Keys. Nice outdoor area but it is right on the highway.

Everything is always terrific there. Carlos and Simon took great care of us. We've been becoming here for over a year and several times as well. Never a bad meal, always terrific. They serve beer and wine now as well!

I ordered my kid a kids shrimp dish and from options I picked Brussel sprouts instead of fries. Got slaw not best for my kid. The salad was a soggy mess. They dressed it there. You don’t do that. They give you little cups of sauces regularly. At the restaurant they serve the dressing on the side…I running out to dinner or I’d make him something and toss it.

Had the fish and Shrimp Tacos. Both were very great with a mango pico, sauce and cabbage. The shrimp were exceptionally good. Tasty breading, not overcooked. Would not hesitate to stop back. Especially for happy hour!

I was in Islamorada for 8 days and this was my favorite restaurant. I ended up eating here 3 times. The shrimp poboy (sauteed) was my favorite meal, it was so good!!!

Happy hour shrimp basket is just a smaller order of shrimp that cost roughly the same as the regular meal per shrimp, so that felt a little dishonest. Everything is gluten free and tasty, so that was a plus. Very small portion sizes for what you pay, but that's pretty common in the Keys.
