I enjoyed it but appreciate it when we're asked if we'd like a take home box for us slow eaters who can't always get our 1 plate done before those who've downed 2-3 plates & impatiently waiting for us to get done. When we're not allowed to take it home, it isn't a good impression. 😕

Terrible experience. Was very excited to come eat at buffet. VERY DISAPPOINTED. How does a “grand Italian buffet” use cut up sesame seed buns as garlic bread. Two options of pasta with four sauces, more American food than American, no pizza at all. When I called and asked price they told me $11 until 4, arrived at 3:20 got charged $15. I wouldn’t eat at the place for free. Floors covered in food. Flies everywhere

Fixed a delicious gluten-free pizza so I could enjoy the buffet with my family.

Joreen was our server and was very helpful and kind. The lady at the food bar offered to make our favorite pizza for the buffet. We lived in Nebraska 40 years ago and looked forward to coming back to Valentino’s. The food is just as delicious as we remember, you folks made us very welcome! We highly recommend Valentino’s in Nebraska City!

Walmart has better food then here. I'll just stick to McDonald's.

This was a pretty good place to eat, especially for a family with multiple generations. Everyone found things they liked. However, the service is what really made it stand out. Everyone that worked there was very kind, professional, and just sweet.

The service here is amazing! The food was delicious, hot and fresh! It was a great dining experience.

It was decent. If the food had been hot and not just warm, it'd be close to a 10/10. But the food being warm and even cool, makes it a solid 6/10.

We were here a year ago and I thought it was pretty rough and not going to make a post covid recovery. Today was very good. Food was fresh and place was clean.

We were passing through on our way to Omaha and decided to stop for lunch. Everything was fresh and very tasty! Glad to know there are still home town buffets around.

Naked guy, only overalls. Sketchy people, not restaurants fault but still scary. A majority of the food was cold and old. Our waitress was really nice. Not impressed overall would never come back.

Food was barely stocked. Asked for more to be filled and didn’t happen before we left. Our waitress had to be flagged down to get a second set of plates and there were only four other tables there. Huge disappointment after growing up with Valentinos and personally knowing the Alesio family. I don’t think this deserves to be called a “grand” anything. Won’t be back.

I have NEVER felt so unwelcome at a restaurant, let alone a lunch buffett. I can over look the wait time for plates, drinks, and silverware. But the horrible attitude I recieved from the older waitress, over asking for plates, and the other waitress that then gave the same attitude when I asked for plates, I probobly will not return, or refer anyone there.

They have a great salad bar. Not too crazy about the pizza but the Spaghetti lasagna makes up for that good food

We miss the Valentinos buffet in Omaha so decided to take a long drive to Nebraska City. Unfortunately the majority of our food was cold or luke warm and the mushrooms on the salad bar were rotten. Very sad as we love Valentinos 😢

Went kinda late not a very good selection

Although we arrived at the busy dinner hour we were seated right away and since my 2 year old grandson was with us and made his usual mess of the floor around his Highchair the waitress was super nice and didn't seem to let it bother her that she would have alot of cleaning to do when we left. The only small problem I had was that the bottom of my drink glass was cracked and had started to slowly leak but as soon as I mentioned it to the waitress she immediately exchanged it for a different one that wasn't leaking. So as far as I am concerned I give this restaurant a big 5 stars.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! The pizza is to die for!! The spaghetti and meat sauce is delicious. The ice cream machine even works.

Very good pizza and pasta buffet in Nebraska City. Broasted chicken and ribs are additional items worth a sampling. Very reasonable pricing. Party room available and lots of children birthday parties are held here.

Used to be a Valentinos in Topeka so when traveling thru I had to stop, and was not disappointed! Wonderful food and assortment.

So clean. All the Val’s favorites available. Server was very attentive. Best experience in a while at any valentinos location.

Family friendly, decent salad bar. 2 pasta options, a few pizza options. Desert bar was awful, my daughter did like the ice cream however. Our waitress did a good job of checking on us multiple times. Extremely crowded seating with no walking room to get around the tables. We were stuck standing between people trying to get through several times. Extremely dated building and decor. Bathroom doors broken. It's nothing exciting but not the worst either.

Buffet was excellent. So glad you kept the buffet. I do miss the spinach noodle/salami cold salad… but each item I tried was flavorful and delicious. The service as excellent. Very youthful staff but they really had manners, courtesy… gift for chatting and gave astute attention. Very intuitive like vintage mom n pop places I’d gone to for years. Yes, I’d travel the short 5 miles off the highway first the quality and service. Thank you.

Went there today for lunch. The salad bar was a 10 star. The pizza bar was not kept full. That was the reason for the 3 star. The other hot food was great. But if it's valentinos you have got to keep the pizza fresh and stocked at the pizza bar. The waitress was great.

Not the same standards as vals in Lincoln, apparently owner doesn't care about customer service, carry out pizza is not always good quality, when I brought it up to him he said just don't eat here anymore. My thoughts, if you aren't going to serve quality food then I won't. So sad I've been eating Vals most of my life. But I will not pay a premium price for bad food. I never asked for anything free, also I spent an additional $27 besides my replacement Pizza, I gave you a second chance, you think you could have taken the time to make a quality product. So sad.

Small town Valentinos. Older building but the good was good and the service was excellent.

LOVE this place. There are not many Val's buffets left, so this is always a treat. Food is always good and the staff there is always very nice. The restaurant is very clean and well taken care of. I can't say enough good things!

Val's buffet is a consistant evening menu of salad, pizza, pasta, bread stix, and chicken. I always leave full.

Came on christmas eve. Staff was so welcoming and friendly, food was super fresh and constantly refilled. Great treat for family home for the holiday!

Not as many items to choose from as other Valentino Buffets but prices are very reasonable.

I wish they added more cheese pizza after it was done but if your close go give it a try. It was only $10 per person they have a variety of things pizza , pasta , salad bar , dessert everything you would want when getting pizza without the additional costs of everything individually. Also the waitress was super friendly!!

The place seems to be very popular. I expected the Grand Italian Buffet to have a better selection of classic Italian cuisine. If you are a salad person, this is the place!

Buffett. Pizza was not warm at all. Pasta was dried out. Salad bar had mayonaise salads that were changed in color due to air exposure... DRIED MAYO

Horrible experience! In 47 minutes no fresh pizzas brought out, no fresh desserts came out, no one straightened/cleaned food areas. Bread was COLD, it looked like there has been a mad rush some time before we arrived and no workers did another thing. Every food area an utter mess! There was plenty of people coming in to warrant fresh hot food to be put out, but no one cared enough to provide it I guess! The seating was horrible! Couldn't get in and out of booth because too close to line of chairs, no walking area in between. I'm still hungry and utterly disgusted I had to pay $30 for that mess! They overcharged us! Drinks were not as ordered, and if the Health Dept. had walked in and checked temperatures I'm sure they would have closed the place...I know I would! Do not eat here!!!!!!

As far as Valentinos and buffets go, this is the best one I’ve been to. The pizza was delicious.

Came at 5pm on a saturday. You would think there would be hot fresh food for dinner. Literally every item was cold. Bread was hard as a rock. Lasagna looked like it had been sitting there since 11am. The server said we can make fresh pizza but it would take at least 8 minutes. 8 minutes for fresh pizza? You need to clear the entire buffet and start fresh. I let them know i just wanted the bill. They weren't even gonna give me a discount. We had 4 adults and two kids still tried to charge me $85. We hadn't even been there ten minutes. I still got charged $54 when we barely ate two bites per person. Worst customer service and management I have ever seen and I am a general manager of a restaurant. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND GOING HERE!

Had a great experience and the food was phenominal!!!! Edit: 5 years later I come back to try this place again and wow it was a let down. Got the jumbo bacon cheese burger pizza and it was so loaded with onions and pickles that's all I could taste , couldn't taste the sauce or the meat. I only ate two slice and then couldn't even give away this pizza because of the overwhelming onion odor. The boneless wings were ok nothing to brag about but definitely left me wondering what happened since I was last giving this place my business that it got this bad, a crushed pizza upon delivery ???? Then it was made with such calus . I almost felt hated upon when biting into this pizza like someone angry made it with no love. Needs work Valentino!!!!! 😔😔😔

A lot more variety in food than I expected! Priced right and everyone ate their fill.

Most of the food was good. The ribs were really good. The pizza was mostly good. Some crusts were puffy and odd taste. The salad bar was best quality of all we ate. I was a little disappointed with the desserts but overall was good.

This place has been a consistently good performer over the years. I love the variety of food available on the buffet from American fare to all of your Italian favorites. I come for the lasagna and spaghetti with mushrooms and sausage. The pizza is pretty great. The salad bar is stacked. Then you get to finish with s'mores desert pizza (as awesomeas it sounds), bread pudding with pecans, ice cream and cookies. The $13 price tag is well worth the variety and quality. Veer off I-29 for this gem.

Not much choice of pasta and sauce and definitely not very clean. They were very busy due to the apple festival in town.

Yum! Like old school Valentinos! Can tell they make the pizza crust there, instead of the pre made ones we get here in Omaha. So flaky and good! Waitress was fun and good to me and my wife, will return next time we're in Nebraska City. (but first I gotta eat all these wonderful apples I bought at the applejack festival 🤣)

Wide selection and a very reasonable price

It had been many years since I last ate at this particular branch of Valentino's, so the redesigned interior caught me by surprise; but in a good way. I came on a whim and I didn't know if this restaurant still did buffets until entering the building. Despite the long absence, the lunch buffet was just as good as I remembered it. If the mood takes me, I may come back one day.

Buffet was full and a huge variety of food. The staff was fun, friendly, fast. Clean.

My family likes to stop here when in our way to Mahoney State Park. We arrived about 12:45 on a Sunday and it was packed. They could not keep up with the pizza and other food items. Food still good but wished we had come at a different time/day.

I didn’t see delivery as an option. I live in Nebraska City and have ordered delivery at least 3 times. The first two times I ordered a thin crust medium pizza. Both times I ate the whole thing and I’m not a heavy person. I ordered thin crust thinking I’d get the same amount of toppings as regular crust. Wrong, last night I ordered a regular crust pizza with the exact same toppings, same size, same price. It provided me 3 different meals as it had much more of the same toppings on it. This confuses me, why do you put smaller amounts of toppings on thin crust than regular? Defeats the whole purpose of ordering thin crust. Must not be any measuring of toppings on the same size pizza regardless of the crust. Will never get ripped off by thin crust again!

I used to love this buffet. It had so many different options with pizza and pasta, shrimp and a plethora of side dishes. However, this time everything but the pizza was lacking in flavor. I was dissapointed.

No pizza place can compare to a basic Valentino's buffet. The place was full of diners during our visit. Yet the servers managed everyone, and there was always plenty of fresh pizza and pasta sauces. We stop every time we travel through Nebraska City to visit family in Nebraska. It tastes like home!

When I travel to visit family, it's place I love to stop for dinner. I feel safe going here when traveling.

Miss this place so much! We used to have one in Topeka years ago. Great surprise to find one still operating!! Service was awesome and the food was just as I remembered!

Amazing staff and food was delicious

Our experience at Valentino's was not good. The food was not fresh. There was a limited selection, and what was out was very clearly old. Many items not refilled, and the food did not taste good either. Service was terrible. We waited for our bill for 20 minutes, while our waitress was merely wiping down tables. We will never waste our time or money here again.

waiters were nice, good lighting. but food was hard and cold, didn’t look very sanitary, the dishes still had crumbs and stains etc. i give them props, everyone was nice and friendly didn’t have an attitude and one waitress in particular, blonde, tattoos, white, sorta slim, was extremely kind and looked like a hard worker.

We try to hit this location every time we are in town. All of the buffets in Lincoln are shut down and the food in Nebraska City is always fresh and on point. The original Valentino's buffet experience.

The food was cold and looked like it had been sitting out for awhile. The pizza had definitely been out on the warmer.The desert bar was just nasty. Told the cashier about our experience and she said thats too bad. Awesome place wont be going back anytime soon thats for sure.
