Guy at the cash register rudely spoke down to me like I was a little child, because I ordered pickup through GrubHub, and they no longer use GrubHub (even though it’s still listed as an ordering method when you Google them). I tried explaining to him that it still shows up as an ordering method online and they need to do something about that, and he kept cutting me off saying “I don’t care, I know you and I’ve told you this before.” What a way to speak to a customer. I've ordered at this restaurant many, many times and I was shocked at how rude the guy was to me. I eventually just decided to leave because I can’t trust eating food from someone who would speak to me like that.

I love this place. You don't have to be vegan to try it. I'm not, and it's one of my favorite places because it has a big menu. I love the fireball sushi 🍣 and spear ribs 👍🏽. It's not so expensive and they have a good service. But I prefer to order online and pick it up

I'm a die hard meat eater, will never be a vegan. That being said, the food here is actually delicious, and although you will be completely aware that you're not eating chicken, the sauce is great and the texture is convincing enough that I wouldn't mind eating the food here in place of meat from time to time.

We were a party of 15 people, including 3 kids. They were very patient with us and helped us get through the chaos. Quick service and responsive servers.

Such a amazing ✨vegan✨ Chinese joint! Large dining area & great staff. Insanely HUGE menu with everything you can dream of! The vegan general chicken was amazing. Fresh veggies & nice portion! Some of the BEST scallion cakes I’ve ever had are HERE - don’t skip them!! They ALSO have an impressive vegan dessert menu & the vegan tiramisu was SOOOOO bomb! Super moist with the most perfect frosting!

Got an order to take out and halfway through found a cooked cockroach ...will NEVER eat there again!!!

Can't love this place enough. Atmosphere is great, service was great, food was amazing. It's very hard to eat out as one child is dairy allergic and I'm vegan/gf. We brought two non vegan/veggie friends who were amazed and couldn't believe it was vegan and my son and I were on cloud 9. Dessert was the best!!

Everything Vegan. The best place on earth, in my opinion. You can have ice cream, cake , sushi hamburgers, Chinese, Thai all Vegan. Wow

Delicious food. So much variety available. We liked the vegan sushi and scallion pancakes. I loved the chill, meditative vibe. Loved the green tea 🍵 served free for each table. All that goodness but so so affordable/ reasonably priced.

As someone who eats meat / fish, I found the menu selection very interesting. They do a good job mimicking things like chicken, beef, fish, etc. and I enjoyed what was served. Great place to accommodate for a group of people with mixed food preferences and needs, with friendly service to top.

The Teaneck Veggie Heaven is the only reason I regret moving out of Bergen County. They are hands down the best restaurant. I say this as someone who cooks everyday and stopped eating out years ago because I was always disappointed. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been delicious and they are so worth the now very long drive on special occasions. I did try the location closer to me in Denville recently and it was… not good (and that’s putting it delicately). Whatever Teaneck is doing, they’re going it so right. You haven’t had proper vegan restaurant food until you’ve eaten here. Like me, you will never be disappointed.

I am a regular here at least 2x per month with my vegan group for about 15 years. Food and atmosphere are great.

First time at this location as I usually go to the location in Montclair. The customer service is amazing here just like Montclair’s location but the food was not good at all. I had no idea it would be such a major difference. The patty’s were supposed to be Jamaican inspired but they really missed the mark here! This had cilantro and other spices that ARE NOT the taste of Jamaica! The spare ribs were not the same as the ones I get in Montclair these had no flavor and the texture was off! I’m so disappointed as the only thing I enjoyed was my lychee drink with popping bubbles. I’ll just stick to my regular location even though Teaneck is closer.

Excellent fully vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Large menu of Chinese /Japanese/Thai dishes, sushi, sides, drinks and desserts. I went with the Garlic Chicken, brown rice and Jamaican patties. Everything was cooked perfectly. Their vegan chicken substitute is delicious. The restaurant is very clean, welcoming and spacious. I can't wait to return with family and friends. This is definitely one of the best vegan restaurants I've been to in NJ.

I ordered the sesame chicken it did not taste good I also ordered sushi which was very disappointing all of the meals are extremely high in gluten And they don’t use tofu or soy as much in the dishes as much as they use gluten which doesn’t have a good taste When you’re looking at the menu try not to get things with gluten because it’s very rubbery and cardboard

Food is tasty and affordable with large portions. There is complimentary tea as well. The only things we didn’t love were the “duck” as it was dry and bland, and the boba was too sweet.

New owners as of November 2022. Some of the "old" waiters have stayed with the new owners, though. Still delicious food! My friends and I love dining here, as well as ordering for takeout! You know you're a regular when they ask if you want bubble tea as soon as you sit at the table. One of the employees told my husband today, "I haven't seen you in a long time!"

The food is delicious although there has been a price increase. I ordered food yesterday, 2 of the dishes was extremely salty. I never experienced that problem before. Is there different chefs cooking ? Also , I used to love the beef patties , it is not the same. Who is making it? Please go back to the original recipe , they were tasty, spicy and the filling didn’t fall spart

I’ve been ordering from here since I was in HS (2017) and the food is great! However, there is one delivery man in particular who has made me too uncomfortable to order from here anymore. This was my second time getting him as the delivery person and he is incredibly scary and hostile. I live in an apartment and am handicapped and work from home, so I always ask the woman who takes the order to explain to the delivery man (who she claimed doesn’t speak English) that he has to deliver it to my apartment door, not apartment building. He called me saying he was downstairs and I reiterated that he has to come upstairs. He said no and hung up. I personally don’t tip when people are rude because why give you a generous tip when you aren’t being generous? So, I had to meet him downstairs and as I took the food to go back up to my apartment, he tried blocking me demanding a tip. Definitely not tipping after that. I told him that I’m not tipping because he refused to deliver to my apartment and hung up on me when I was explaining I could just buzz him in. He said “Okay, I’ll come upstairs now” and began entering the elevator but I looked at him on confusion because it was too late. He wanted to come upstairs to collect the tip. I refused because it was just too uncomfortable at this point. So he tried to take the $30 of food I paid for away from my hand and was shouting at me not to order for delivery. Really, shouting and throwing his hands up. Again, I’m handicapped so delivery is my best bet lol. I backed away and got in the elevator and called the restaurant to tell them about it and was told the manager would be made aware. Again, this is the second time with this guy. Other than that, the food is amazing. But they should probably let that guy go.

A lady greeted my Dad & I & we were told we could sit anywhere. The waiter came over and asked us were we ready to order. My Dad needed a few more minutes. The waiter said okay & walked to the back. I don't know how far back or under the place goes because it was only us and another lady sitting down (she also asked for the waiter because she was ready to leave) because we did see him for another 15 minutes. We ordered our food and it came out in a reasonable time. My dad got mixed juice,stir-fry veggies, and the veggie burger deluxe which he raved about the burger being good. I ordered vegetable fried rice and the green juice & after hearing about the burger decided to ask for one. The lady behind the counter and the waiter came over & informed me I couldn't get the veggie burger if I didn't order the deluxe that came with sweet potato fries & lettuce. I had nibbled on my Dad's fries and ate half of my rice & really wanted to try the veggie burger🙁. I guess at this establishment they tell you how to spend your money & what you can or cannot have when you're a patron. Just giving me what I asked for would have mitigated the long wait at the beginning but....This dampened the entire experience for me. I guess I'll get my veggie burger at a later date definitely at a different place.

My 4 star went to 3 stars because they have plastic in my sweet potatoes fries!!! Update 4.9.24. I decided to update my review because I really appreciate this place. The employees work so hard, the food is delicious and 100% vegan. The prices are great. I'm grateful its here!

I've been coming to Veggie Heaven for over 15 years, and I definitely recommend making a visit. The establishment is super clean, and the staff and waitors are lovely and polite. Everything on the menu is vegetarian, including the "meat" so this makes it a good restaurant to visit for those with dietary restrictions. I highly recommend the GS chicken, it's amazing. I'm a big meat eater but I still love coming here. Very clean and delicious food.

Best vegan restaurant in Bergen county. My favorite appetizer dishes are scallion pancakes, veggie chicken drumsticks, assorted dim sum, veggie wonton soup, and Hunan dumplings. The massaman curry chicken is amazing!! Not limited to Asian food as they have falafel, tacos, chicken nuggets, and more. The food always comes out really fast. Desserts are sooo good too.

The food seemed artificial, almost like it was just taken from a store and heated up. There was too much sauce on all the dishes. None of the ingredients tasted fresh; everything had a plastic-like flavor.

Literally the best vegetarian food ive ever had.

You need to know what's good on the menu before you go. The "Cuban Paella" (not a real dish) is not one of the good. Very large menu, would recommend the super crispy chicken, crispy tofu, and lo mein items based on my experience. These items were delicious, and all of them completely vegan, of course. The wonton soup was not great; the soup itself was nice, but the wonton tasted like cardboard, as did some of the dim sum dumplings. Their scallion pancakes were very very thick and fluffy, so not thin and crispy the way I'm used to it, but did not taste bad. Desserts looked pretty amazing and came in large portions too (cakes bigger than a grown man's fist), though I didn't try them out.

Absolutely the most amazing Chinese cuisine I have ever had, and I grew up in Hawaii, where there is a barrage of authentic Asian restaurants. Veggie Haven is TOPS! I always recommend it to friends passing through.

I have never tasted vegan cuisine this delicious. The restaurant offers dishes from Singapore, Japanese cuisine, Jamaican home made beef patties and Chinese cuisine. The baked goods are heavenly. The restaurant is named correctly. There are to many words in the English language to describe how delicious the food is at Veggie Heaven. The price was good for the 3 of us dinning. Everything is completely vegan. For all of you meat eaters this place will delight your palette. I will make it a habit to treat myself at least once or twice a month to dine here. Thank you for the service, food and atmosphere Veggie Heaven staff. I forgot to mention that we had driven over 4 hours to eat at your restaurant. The long drive was definitely worth it. I can't thank you enough for serving my family and I terrific food.

The food is incredible, with huge portion sizes and at very fair and affordable prices that won’t break the bank. We had Szechuan dumplings, a Thai mango sushi roll, their signature crispy tofu, sautéed broccoli with a garlicky twist, and a spicy Thai curry "chicken" that had just the right kick. It’s a place that caters wonderfully to both vegans and non-vegans alike. The flavors are rich, and every dish was a hit. Definitely a great spot for anyone who loves good food with a fresh, plant-based twist. Highly recommended!

Overall Thoughts: The quintessential spot for vegan Asian fusion food— from Chinese to Thai to Japanese to Vietnamese (with some Caribbean & Mexican too). The menu is massive, perfect for sharing with groups large and small, and the prices are good and reasonable. The service was quick and attentive, and the restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable. There’s a free parking lot nearby too. All the dishes— even the vegetables— were less flavorful than traditional Asian restaurant food, but they still tasted good. Overall, you can’t go wrong with Veggie Heaven if you’re looking for a diverse variety of vegan Asian food. Food I tried: - Eggplant with Garlic Sauce (4/5): This dish is a lot less flavorful than those in traditional Chinese restaurants (likely due to the lack of MSG), but it was still pretty good, with a distinct Chinese flair. - Vegetable Peking Duck (4/5): The mock duck was quite good and well-made; the texture was nice and stringy and pretty meat-like. It’s not exactly similar to traditional “mock duck” as the traditional one is made from wheat gluten, and this one is gluten-free. The dish also came with flour tortillas instead of traditional bao buns for wrapping, which still tasted good but was lighter and less filling. - Assorted Steamed Dim Sum (3.9/5): These were pretty good; I enjoyed the different skins of each one. The inside filling of the “shumai” was mostly seasoned rice, while the dumpling fillings were all of the same veggies. It would’ve been nice to have some more diverse fillings, or some mock meats as fillings. — Price (relative to peers): 4.4/5 Food: 4/5 Ambience: 4.8/5 Service: 4.8/5 Overall Value: 4.3/5

Quaint restaurant in a nice part of Teaneck. A smattering of options alternatively prepared for the more conscience eater, with a wide array of desserts that are excellently baked as well. Fair prices, attentive staff, and nestled in a good strip of road with storefronts and the theatre sat just a few doors down makes this a compulsory stop for a pre-movie meal every time!

The sushi, noodles, and bubble tea here are amazing! Reasonable pricing along with great service provided by staff. Definitely a must visit place for vegetarians/vegans.

It truly is heaven. You HAVE TO try the spicy hunan dumplings. We especially liked those, as well as the wonton soup, scallion pancakes, and chicken drumsticks but we have so much more to try in the future. Also the service, atmosphere and prices were great. 🙏🏼♥️

Yum!...I've never offically ate in the restaurant, but I've done take-out at last 15 times already...and loved it...Its the best vegan restaurant in NJ. THEY DO SUCH AN AWESOME JOB, with cleanliness and perparation...portions are huge...I can't rave enough about them...and this opinion is coming from an Indian-vegetarian. Please do pay veggie heaven a visit...the staff is very helpful and it has a friendly atomsphere.

I ordered fried rice and got steamed rice and they opened a can of mixed vegetables in it. The peas were not cooked so I know it was either frozen or canned but never cooked they relied on the steam of the rice to heat the vegetables but the peas were still hard. I used to like this place but not anymore. It’s nice to have a vegan place around but if it’s frozen instead of fresh don’t sell it as fresh. Food is tasteless.

I have been a customer for years. However, my experience today was very disappointing. I was asked if I left a tip on the table, after paying for my meal? I then asked where the owner was? Gary. He would have Never treated me this way. Many should remember to be Humble. Because you never know what tomorrow may bring!

This is a favorite restaurant. I’ve been here a number of times, the last one quite a few years ago (I don’t live in the area, but am visiting), and the menu has expanded a lot from what I recall. To me it seems a bit weird for them to add items like falafel to their menu, but I stuck to food from their traditional menu and loved it. We came for lunch and they have a lunch special which is a great deal. I’m not vegetarian, but eat mostly vegetables and always enjoy food like this. The service is great and I enjoy the pot of tea served upon sitting down. The cheese cake for dessert was not particularly great, though, and the blueberry topic was right out of a can. Skip that.

We always love Veggie Heaven! We know we can trust everything to be completely vegan, and everything on their huge menu has been delicious! I love their vegan sushi and the Green Boat is awesome! Take out and delivery have always been fantastic too.

They have too many good things, and that’s a problem. 👍🏼 Boneless bbq ribs were so good. Everything is delicious and healthy. You walk away feeling full and not sluggish.

This is the only restaurant in Bergen county that all foods are made of tofu and veggie. We really enjoyed its chicken, beef, and fish dishes, all made of tofu. Their taste were great too.

I am and will always be a meat guy but this place is acceptable. The wife loves it so I gave it a try and I must say I was not disappointed. Flavorful and healthy. Just amazing what they do here, cudos to the kitchen staff.

If you have never tried anything vegan, then let this be your best introduction. Try a dragon sushi roll, try the chicken wings, and don't forget about the cakes

The food was good, but not amazing. I heard about the great pork fried rice, but unfortunately it was flavorless to me. The Philadelphia roll was my favorite, it had great flavor and texture. The yam fries, spring roll, and BBQ boneless ribs were good. We enjoyed the Boba tea and the juice. The atmosphere was decent. Glad we tried this place and lucky to have another vegan option around!!

SO SHOCKED by this place! I didnt know this was a full vegan restaurant until recently but wow do they have great selections!! Soups for $2.50?! where do you find that anymore. SO affordable and delicious. Miso soup, wonton soup, tom yum soup- all delicious! Had to take a star off for the unfriendly nature of some of the staff but everyone has their bad days? Wish the ambiance and area was a bit modern felt old, but i would still return because the food was amazing
