Excellent absolutely underrated restaurant on the 15th The pasta is exquisite and homemade, the beef was perfectly cooked and so tender! The tiramisu for dessert was the icing on the cake. I have never eaten tiramisu in my entire life, even in Italy. It matched that of my Italian grandmother. I absolutely recommend this restaurant

I went with all my family, group of 10. From appetizers to pasta dishes to desserts were superb. I can’t point out one or two dishes or desserts. They recommended us a Red Lambrusco ideal for Miami hot temperature which was excellent to start our late lunch. All Appetizers, tortellini, lasagna, risotto, tagliatelle and caserecci were wonderful. Chef came to our table and explained us the dishes and about his home province of Emilia Romagna. He gave us a courtesy of an excellent dessert wine. A lovely lunch which all my family enjoyed very much. Congrats Chef you have a wonderful restaurant and service.

An excellent Italian restaurant, not one of the cheap and touristy ones... but first of all an excellent restaurant. Kind and courteous staff, refined and tasteful products. Fresh homemade pasta, delicious Bolognese lasagne and pumpkin cappelletti with butter and sage, a wauuuu Bolognese cutlet and a tiramisu with the real mascarpone recipe. Really satisfied with the climate, the conviviality of the location and the excellent food. Good experience! Super recommended!

Absolutely the best homemade Italian food in Miami. This place is a hidden gem. Pasta is hand-made and absolutely incredible. Steaks are huge and delicious, fish is fresh, and the salads are fresh. We had dinner at this splendid restaurant with our son. The location is beautiful and welcoming, the guys in the dining room are very kind and friendly and the food, well, like being at home. And an Emiliano DOCG says it!!! My son, who is used to Nonna's tortellini, more than appreciated it, and our dishes were also exceptional for being far from our beloved Emilia Romagna. The pumpkin tortelli with ragù are delicious (an excellent ragù, not that rubbish that good Americans like so much). In short, everything was perfect. Reading the negative reviews confirms once again that the average American knows how (perhaps) to make a hamburger, nothing else. The portions are as they should be, and not as they think they should be (and it shows, just look at them). Whether they go to KFC or McDonald's, real cuisine is something else, especially Emilia Romagna cuisine, and here you can taste it perfectly. The price is commensurate with the quality of the ingredients (a 24 month Parma or Parmigiano Reggiano brought here has a significant cost) and the care that goes into the preparation, especially of the handmade pasta. Congratulations again, we will be sure to return to taste the other dishes on the menu!! Well done

This is a nice restaurant however the amount of food they provide in their main course looks like something from the kids menu. I can't even begin to tell you SMALL the portions are. The prices however do not reflect the portions you get. When you consider how much you get for what they charge you, you know you're being ripped off. What a shame

My recent visit to Via Emilia 9 was marred by poor service, misleading portion sizes, and exorbitant prices. Despite expecting a 2-3 pound tomahawk steak, I received a meager portion billed as 4 pounds for $200. The waiter's rude demeanor further soured the experience. Avoid this establishment if you value quality and value in dining.

Don’t show up without a reservation, even at 630 with an empty restaurant. they will create an unpleasant atmosphere but eventually squeeze you in but let you know you have limited time until they need your table. So be prepared to have a rushed evening. Also you should definitely mention you are a beach local. If not the service is not even 2nd rate and noticeably different than the service the table next over. The waitress was unfriendly, didn’t even bother to go over the specials or even say good evening. She didn’t want to seat us she made a face of disappointment and had to get a manager to find us a table at 630 with an empty restaurant. Spend your $250 for dinner somewhere where they appreciate your business. The pana cotta is delicious,

The couple from Torino that own and operate this fabulous restaurant should be proud. Those of us in South Beach should be thankful they chose to establish this friendly Italian restaurant in our community. Unlike some of the noisy places that are high on noise but short on service or quality cooking, this restaurant has an atmosphere that makes you feel welcomed, a good and reasonable wine list, and great food selection excellently cooked by the husband while the wife runs the front with a smile. We have traveled extensively through Italy and Via Emilia 9 has the feel of a tavola calda. It is a true hidden gem.

I used to go a lot to the Via Emilia in Midtown and I loved it. Unfortunately, the Midtown Via Emilia closed earlier this year. I decided to try the Miami Beach Via Emilia. I was in for a shock! While the server was extremely nice and did her job well, the food was very mediocre. We ordered an eggplant parmigiana and it was a third of the size of the one that they served in the Midtown restaurant. The cappellacci was good but not outstanding (as I remember the one in Midtown). It seems that Via Emilia has been struck by the Miami Beach restaurant curse, which means that there are simply no good restaurants in Miami Beach.

We love Via Emilia 9 as it is a real authentic experience: we feel right at home in Bologna, Italy. Tortellini in brodo are superb and always consistent, and the service is great! Grazie ancora!

Via Emilia è sempre una garanzia assoluta e, a mio parere, resta il miglior ristorante italiano di Miami e, sicuramente, di South Beach. Ottima cucina, anche migliore di molti ristoranti in Italia. Prezzi nella media di Miami, all'incirca 100 USD a testa, vino, tasse e tip inclusi. Locale molto accogliente, con luci soffuse (lampade Poldina sui tavoli), forse sedie non comodissime. Torno qui ogmi volta che vengo a Miami e, se manterrà questa qualità complessiva, tornerò ancora.

Via Emilia era e resta uno dei migliori (se non il migliore) ristorante italiano di Miami Beach, in cui davvero si riescono ad assaporare piatti (soprattutto emiliani, dato che i titolari sono di quella regione) cucinati davvero magistralmente. Il locale è molto accogliente, con luci soffuse (lampade Polina su ogni tavolo) e appena fuori dalle zone super affollate di Miami Beach, a poche centinaia di metri da Lincoln Road. E', tuttavia, bene precisare che i prezzi rientrano certamente nella fascia alta, con cifre che facilmente superano i 100 dollari a testa, tasse incluse. Vino scontato del 50% il martedì sera, peccato averlo scoperto il lunedì!!

Qui si può assaporare la vera cucina emiliana, peccato per i prezzi un po altini e lo gnocco un po piccolo, però buono,la consiglierei

Food is great, but we went after getting an offer through their Facebook page (buy one entree get one free). We showed the offer to the server and although she recognized it, she told us to go ahead and order while she was going to ask how to redeem. After we ate, she tried to redeem the offer but still didn’t know how to do it. Final result, we had to pay full price. Very unfair

Internamente di italiano ha ben poco se parliamo di location ma per Miami potrebbe andare. In merito al cibo buono ma nulla da strapparsi i capelli se non per il prezzo decisamente eccessivo, 238 dollari : 2 primi di cui 1 risotto ai funghi 38 dollari , 1 antipasto 1 secondo 2 dolci 1 acqua e 1 bicchiere di Ferrari 15 dollari . Direi che per questa cifra Miami offre altre possibilità.

Get off the beach and walk down here. The food is authentic, not too pricey, and better than anything on the beach. I had a lemon/artichoke pasta and my kid had lasagna bolognese. The wine list is ample and there are a variety of Italian beers. Save room for dessert, or maybe start there. They are divine.

Great starters, delicious main and yummy dessert. We had some grilled artishocks, parma ham, Steak, the selfmade (!!!) seafood spaghetti + scampi spaghetti, tagliatelle with parma and parmecano and the homemade chocolate cake. Absolute recommendation. Prices for Miami OK, not overcrowded because Not in the centre of tourist spots @ ocean drive

After walking all over the area where all the restaurants are, we couldn’t find any restaurant we wanted to stay. Most of them were crazy loud. We crossed the street and checked out Via Emilia, and what a great surprise! The place is charming, and the service is excellent! Julia was our server, and she was super sweet and attentive. The place is pet friendly, something essential for us 🐶💓. The food was AMAZING! We ordered the cheese plate as an appetizer, the gnocchi, and the lasagna, and they were so good! They have a good selection of Italian wines and yummy desserts. The ambiance is great and inviting. We are so happy we’ve found this place and will come back! 💕

Very good service and very good food. Good recommendations from the server and a very good explanation of a term that I didn't remember. The food was very, very good. The starter of cooked and thin cut octopus was surprisingly interesting and tasty. The tortellini was decent, but very traditional where the tortellini has almost a dry texture and that is a little too traditional for my taste. The artichoke and lemon pasta was fantastic.

Perfection at every moment of the service. The food was impeccably presented and everything tasted perfect. Service was friendly and warm and the atmosphere was inviting. The balsamic pearls with the cheese tray were so unique and enjoyable. Pumpkin pasta was light and flavorful and the Bolognese was fresh and clung to the pasta as it should.

This is a neighborhood gem that is locally owned and can be counted on to have an interesting menu, tempting specials (this was the end of Truffle Month) and a table when you need it. We are sorry that the city made them reduce the number of outside tables, but there are still some two-tops and four-tops, as well as an expanded indoor space. The menu is a taste of Bologna, with homemade pasta. This week four of us had the beef cheeks (!) special, the tagliatelle with prosciutto, the octopus tempers with stracciatella (the creamy inside of burrata), grilled langoustines, fennel salad (such delicate shavings!), and pasta with truffles grated in front of you to your liking and pocketbook. We are grateful for this restaurant in our neighborhood. Lovely time!

When you are abroad, especially if you are Italian, after 3 days you miss the Italian food. In this restaurant in Miami I’ve tasted very good tagliatelle with ragout, a surprising grilled carciofo. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The owner Wendy is a perfect owner always ready to make you feel comfortable.

Seriously? 32 dollars for this good but not worth it at all.
