The Pho is AMAZING!!!! Edit: I tried the Egg Noodle bowl with grill chicken for the first time today. I have one word... MAGICAL! I'll be craving this!!!

You can never go wrong with their Pho menu as well as the phenomenal prices that come with em! Very affordable, family friendly area, everything is great! <First Visit> We came to the beach and this Vietnamese restaurant located on our way back. So lucky we found this restaurant, they have the best Pho I had so far! The soup was very flavorful, and the only store with the special Pho that comes with ox tail! We ordered spring rolls, special pho and beef ball pho, they are so great that the kids were adding extra noodles! Highly recommended and will definitely come back again!

Ordered doordash from this restaurant, for a $20 bowl of noodle, you would think the beef quality and quantity would be better! There's 3-4 EXTREMELY THINLY sliced beef, so thin that it's transparent! The pho places in freehold and toms river are way better

I recently dined at Vietnam Bistro and was thoroughly impressed by their rice noodle bowls. The chicken variation is one of my favorites, with tender pieces of chicken that are full of flavor. Equally delightful was the beef option, which was just as delicious. The combination of the rice noodles with the savory meats and flavorful sauce was a true delight for my taste buds. I highly recommend trying both the chicken and beef options when you visit Vietnam Bistro!"

If you want great comfort food come here. Everything was delicious, fresh and aromatic. The owner, Eric, was telling us all about how he makes the bone broth for his Pho and brewed tea for Thai Tea. Highly recommend!

This is some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. The vermicelli bowls, spring rolls, and Thai iced tea were amazing! I'll definitely be back.

We’ve been here a bunch of times when we were still in NJ. My husband really liked the bahn mi from here and I also liked whatever I got plus the Thai tea was very good too. Will definitely come here when we visit NJ soon.

This place has delicious food. The service is good. The atmosphere is getting very rundown and the cleanliness is not up to par. This place needs to be cleaned with a deep, thorough clean. Even the windows are disgusting sad to see. It’s hard to eat there when you start looking at the floor and noticed that the floor is filthy. Also, the owners use the back table as a house they should put up some kind of Partition if they’re gonna be hanging out there and watching TV

Excellent pho (Vietnamese soup)!! Been here about 6 times thus far and love it. If you’ve never had pho or really like it, try it here.

One of the best chicken pad Thai dishes I have had in a very long time!! We also tried the shrimp summer rolls, pork bahn me, and the Bo bun hue. Everything was incredible. The staff is friendly and hard working. We will definitely be back!

I have personally known the owner of the establishment, Eric, for a long time and he never will disappoint. My first time dining at the bistro was filled with wonders and excitement as I dipped my fork into P2 and discovered a taste of authentic, Vietnamese cuisine. I am filled with joy that I have a place to go to for lunch and dinner for my time in New Jersey owned by a very close friend. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

A quiet, unassuming storefront set way back from Route 9 north in a strip shopping plaza, is a major find! You won't know that at first with it's modest, utilitarian vibe, but wow! I've had pad thai from many different places, but somehow they know how to crowbar tremendous flavor like nothing I've ever tried. I had it with beef. Been here several times. Big soup meals as well as summer roles are also excellent and fresh. For all that, you certainly can't beat their prices either. Very highly recommend, unless you're looking to be spotted out in your best outfit by paparazzi. 5 stars!!

I gave the restaurant 3 stars for 2 reasons. First, I generally do not to give a pace 5 stars unless it is exceptional. So 4 stars is my baseline and I took off 1 star because the chicken was a little on the dry side. However, the food was very tasty and the service was excellent. Considering the restaurant was in a strip mall the inside was reasonably decorated, nothing fancy. So I would not consider this for a romantic date night but still very pleasant inside.

Excellent Vietnamese Food! Came here for lunch. We started with shrimp summer roll. Next, we had beef and grilled pork Banh mi. The bread was very fresh and the meats were very flavorful. My daughter had the fried chicken with rice. Everything was reasonably priced and tasted on point. Check out the photos. We would return for sure!

Came back here after a long time ( out of state), new cashier was rude and clueless. Bottom line he got the whole order wrong. Order a number 7 banh mi supposed to be meatball, gave me tofu instead……….

Godly food! The pho is outstanding, the chicken wings have the perfect flavor, and everything tastes delicious! Definitely recommend coming here. I ordered the P-9 if anyone wanted to try it.

Stopped in February 2023. Learned that restaurant went under new ownership in 2022. Prices are up, way up! Menu has changed and style has changed as well. Unfortunately, we will not be going back.

The last posted an update 6 years ago and I wanted to give a short update after our most recent visit. It is under new ownership as of about 3 months ago. When we walked in on a Saturday night, it was nearly empty. I was actually kind of shocked to see how empty it was. they've changed the menu around and they appear to have made it slightly smaller, which is a bit of a shame cuz one of my favorite meals was b18 and that's no longer available as an option. That being said, though, the new owners really seem to care about the restaurant and they really seem to want to make sure that we were happy with our meal. I hope that the community can rally around this particular restaurant because it's extremely delicious food and the new owners really deserve a fair shot.

Pho was hardy and full of flavor. Egg rolls were crispy and delicious. Pad thai was well made. Try the shakes!

Great food, good service 👍🏻. My family and i ordered pho, bun bo, banh mi, banh it, bun thit nuong. Everything was good .The bun bo was tasty, the broth was rich and flavorful . The banh it chien gion ( fried sticky rice dumplings) was also amazing. It was crispy outside, chewy and juicy inside 🥰🥰🥰 will definitely be back 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Meatball Pho was very good, though a bit salty. Broth was bone marrow. Wife had Vegetarian Pho she loved it. Spring rolls were very good as well. Definitely the best Vietnamese food around. Going back for their Bun bowls. Will update. Very reasonable prices. Well had the Grilled Pork Bun bowl, very good and a good helping of marinated grilled pork. This will be my goto Vietnamese food place. Service and staff very attentive.

First time here and I have to say my taste buds were blown away. Eric our server was very helpful and informative since I have only had Vietnamese food once before and I wasn’t very impressed until Today . My mind is changed for sure. The flavors were like a punch in your mouth in a good way. Lol Went with two other friends and we were able to taste each others food and share in the richness of flavors that make you say.. mmmh what is that taste of seasoning that isn’t familiar to my palate. I have experienced food flavors that I haven’t before. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy a bubble tea of my own, since I was unsure of the taste and texture. I was pleasantly surprised on how creamy and thick this was and tasted so good. I am looking forward to going back to experience some more different dishes. Eric was also very helpful with explaining what everything was and recommended everything that we ate. 🍜👍🏻👍🏻I would add photos but I don’t know how to.

My husband and I just recently started coming here and the food is absolutely amazing. Especially for someone who’s never had vietnamese food before, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff is also incredible and so nice. Thankfully it’s local and we will be back regularly!

I love this place. We have tried a lot of things and they are good. My husband I love the chicken wings in fish sauce and the pho's. The banh mi sandwich's are great and if you like a little spicy try the sate. The owners are super nice and friendly and they will answer any questions you have.

I never do Google Reviews, but I simply had to in order to shine a light on this EXCELLENT establishment. I have been a regular at the Vietnam Bistro with the old ownership, totally surprised arriving to a new staff, menu, etc. As much as I loved the old restaurant, the new management provides a fresh taste of truly authentic (TRADITIONAL) Vietnamese cuisine. Their P2 (house special pho) has the tastiest, MOST authentic and flavorful broth that I have simply ever tried. Plus, there are now meatballs and oxtail in the pho?! Excellent. I’m also able to try genuine Vietnamese food items that I wasn’t able to have with the past owners (as this was a FUSION restaurant back then—not a true Vietnamese spot). As a seasoned food critic who has had pho across the state AND country, I can ensure you that this spot is legit. The owners might be young, but they KNOW how to run a business and know how to treat clients well. If you’re looking for unauthentic/Americanized food, get some microwaveable dish. This spot is a blessing to Howell and I look forward to being a regular client here 😊

The new owner certainly made this location even better! I’m a huge fan of the Pho and their broth is exquisite! The service was quick and got me in and out on a full stomach!

Delicious food and friendly staff.

The employees are super nice and the set-up is clean, unlike other Vietnamese restaurants that I have been to so far. I ordered a Pho special and the broth blew my mind with how good it is in comparison with others. As a Vietnamese born in Vietnam, the food here is about 90% close to the food in my hometown and it is hard to find a hidden gem in Jersey like this. So to anyone who reads this review, I highly recommend you guys try this out !!!

I am a regular at the Vietnamese bistro and one day found out new owners took over. The menu and flavors taste different but for the better. The new broth is richer and you could tell more ingredients are put in rather than just some seasoning. The menu changed from an Asian fusion to a authentic Vietnamese selection. The owners are very nice people and even let me dine in- after hours. I'll definitely continue to be a regular

BRING THE OLD OWNERS BACK!!!! I don't even know where to start, I have so much to say but I'll try to keep it as short as possible. Total new menu, so if you're expecting the old Vietnam bistro items,it has changed. It is also more expensive now, The pho itself Is nowhere near the quality and taste of the previous owners, the bone broth to me looks and tastes store bought unlike the previous owners, it also has a sweet taste to it which I do not like at all. I was really hoping that the food would still taste the same but was sadly mistaken. Upon arrival I ordered spring rolls, which didn't arrive until after I was already done eating. IF YOU ORDER THE EGG NOODLE SOUP BE AWARE THAT IT ISN'T A TRADITIONAL SOUP LIKE IT USED TO BE, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. NOT SURE IF THE YOUNG KIDS TAKING ORDERS ARE THE NEW OWNERS OR NOT BUT THEY DEFINITELY SEEM NEW TO THE RESTAURANT BIZ IN MY OPINION. THEY WERE NICE, BUT THEY HAVE SOME LEARNING TO DO. Overall to keep from spiraling in this review I'll just say, if you're used to the old food you won't get it here now. I was a regular here for years to the point the old server knew what I wanted when I walked in the door, even down to the drinks and what I wanted in them. I'm really just truly saddened the old owners sold the place, now I have to find a new pho spot unfortunately. It used to be the best pho around hands down and now after trying the new menu I'm very disappointed. Maybe this is a new school type pho which I'll never get used to. I really just want the traditional pho back 😭.

Pho was good with good amount of noodle to meat ratio. Coconut boba was tasty and Banh It was also good. Clean and open layout. Plenty of parking. Will def be back to try the rest of menu!

Been closed for several weeks now. Not sure if it is going to open back up. Wonder what happened.

We ordered two bowls of pho and 2 rolls of Chả giò. The pho was good — it hit the expected mark. The broth was tasty and the noodles had a good consistency. The chả giò was not very good. The rolls were small and overcooked. Seemed like they were all ground meat and nothing else.

Great food and quick service. I tried the fried dumplings and they were delicious. I look forward to trying other menu items in the future.

Fresh great Vietnamese dishes with great service and easy parking

I love their pho it's very good and the larger bowl isn't that much more expensive. Haven't tried the other food there but it's pretty good

Nearly forty dollars for bubble tea, short ribs with white rice, and dumplings and the only passable thing I paid for was the tea. The "House Special" consisted of more bone than short rib, short is an understatement here, and rice dryer than styrofoam even when drowned in soy. The dumplings had almost no filling to speak of. This one has lost its passion it would seem or is not properly staffed and that is a shame.

10 out of 10 my favorite returant in howell and the servers are verry nice :)

Good food, reliable, great service, and clean!

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I'll absolutely be going back. I've already planning my next visit. It seems like they have a very busy take out service, so dine in is not the only option. What I really like was that the server was very understanding that we didn't know much about this style of cuisine and offered us suggestions that were right on for our palettes.

You want delicious Vietnamese food, this is the place in Howell.

Not bad. Food was well priced, flavorful and plentiful, if a little overcooked. Seriously though, don't advertise broken rice on your menu if you only have plain white rice. And then don't tell me 'it's the same thing'. It isn't. Still, a good value meal - hearty and filling.

I wish I had known about this restaurant a lot sooner. Having grown bored of the same old, I did a quick search for smaller restuarants in my area and Vietnam Bistro popped up. Ordered takeout, food was ready and hot as soon as I walked in. Very friendly staff! Food is excellent! Will definitely be back. Highly recommend trying this place out.

The staff was extremely friendly. It had a very relaxed atmosphere, and you could tell they clean often. The food came out quick and was pretty good.

Me and my family love the quality of food in your Bistro even if we have to take it to go if we cannot finish our meal but it's a worth of coming to your Vietnamese Restaurant to have your soups, appetizers, and main meal.

Ordered B2, P9, and three varieties of bubble tea! Both the vermicelli dish and the pho was flavorful and tasty! Will be back when I am in the area. The whole family throughly enjoyed this dinner!

We picked up an order of a few bubble teas from here. They were great! After recently moving from the New Brunswick area, where we had lots of great bubble tea places, it was nice to find great quality bubble tea. The tea itself seemed to have a slushy aspect to it, which was unexpected but turned out to be really good. Also, the person who helped us was very personable and professional. We will definitely be coming back.

When I tell you this is the best pho I’ve had since I actually was in Vietnam I’m not joking. The owner is always there and asking how everyone is, the staff is great. The bubble tea is out of this world! And the other food they serve is mouth watering. Try the eggrolls. Also they do not deliver BUT it is worth the few minutes to go pick it up.

We've been eating at vietnam bistro for several years. my husband always tries different things and is never disappointed, ranging from distinctly vietnamese dishes to something you might see on a chinese menu. i tend to always get my favorite dish, B10, rice vermicelli with charbroiled beef, Vietnamese meatball, and Vietnamese egg roll. the meats are delicious and unique. service is officiant, and the owner often stops by at our table to say hi. and the prices are very reasonable. take-out works too!

I love that there is a Vietnamese restaurant of this quality in Howell! We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. I particularly like the lemongrass chicken. I was excited to see they have Thai Iced Tea and bubble teas and plan on trying those next time. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

This restaurant, located in a strip mall in Howell, is nice in a simple way. It's not fancy, but was packed the night we went. The staff were very polite and friendly and seated us right away. The menus were easy to understand, and we ordered pho and egg rolls. I was very impressed by the egg rolls, which I shared with a friend. My other friend was very happy with her pho, but I've got to say I'm not a fan; it was ok, but I guess I'm just not a pho person. It seemed bland to me. But I give this restaurant 5 stars because it was clean, the staff was attentive, and the others around us were speaking highly of their pho. So I'm sure it was just me.

This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the area, which features excellent food, terrific service and low prices.

Food is very good. Recommend the Pineapple fried rice and the beef broth with noodles Pho. Servers are nice and the owner is very personable. Will definitely being frequent customers.
