This place is hands down my favorite spot for Pho & Bun Bo Hue! The broth is consistently flavorful and hits the spot every single time I visit. Even if there's a bit of a wait during peak hours, it's absolutely worth it. The quality and taste make it a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Wow this place is legit. The food was on par for any I’ve eaten when in Vietnam. The owner was also busy waiting tables and ensuring everyone was satisfied with entrees and service. The pho was amazing as was each appetizer we ordered. I ordered the CHAO TOM appetizer. A deep-fried pork and shrimp wrapped with sugar cane, chopped lettuce, pickled carrots and daikon with a side of house fish sauce. We shared the MI XAO GION THAP CAM entree. A crispy egg noodle dish with shrimp, beef, chicken, and vegetables served with the special house brown sauce. I’ll be back for this again and again. The place was packed at lunch time but food service was still timely and all dishes were served fresh and hot.

Delicous Pho! Ive been wanting to find authentic pho/vietnamese in this town. Experience was great except being seated right by front door and people standing over us watching us eat. We will be back for aure.

Best food in town. Best Fried rice, best egg rolls, best pho, best curry, best stir-fry. Real authentic asian food, not like Panda Express.. lol

Awesomely authentic Vietnamese food and very friendly staff

This is me and my friends favorite places to have lunch dates! Come in, and seat yourself and wait to enjoy a delicious bowl of pho!! I usually get the all meat pho without tripe, I think it's p4? If you're a beginner like me, add some basil, cilantro, a little soy sauce and pepper and the bowl is perfect for me! I never liked sweet potato fries until I came here! Delicious with a few seasoned fried shrimp 🍤. Sometimes the service isn't the greatest, but it's always a calm environment and we leave happy and full ! Helpful tip, all my food was brought out at the same time and I didn't get to enjoy the appetizer due to my pho getting cold.

I had to wait a couple days to review this meal. I was so happily filled that it was nearly impossible to find the words to describe. I took the recommendation of a local to pass a trendy pho spot and was rewarded with a more home style experience. The pho was pleasantly flavored and filling but the appetizers alone have me excited for my next trip to KC. Batter-dipped sweet potato fries and shrimp to wrap in lettuce (so good) along with the best crab rangoon I've ever had (so nice to be able to actually taste the crab). Almost forgot to share about the service because my youthful servers made me feel at home and seamlessly provide everything I needed showing experience well beyond their years.

I had the glass noodles and they were delicious. It had a huge side of bean sprouts basil and cilantro. I've never been to this restaurant but I definitely will come back.

The food was excellent, Service was quick.

Pho was light in flavor and sweet, large portion. Pork Spring rolls and sauce were good. Food was a but slow to come out, but might have been due to the lunch rush.

I have LOVED this place since before it was found by the Food Network. The location has expanded and now there is more seating available! Parking near the entrance is still first come, first serve, but the food is worth it!

I visit KC once a year to spend time with my son. Im a big foodie and love all asian food. Originally from California ive had some of the very best. I had the chance to dine at Vietnam Cafe and i must say this meal was the best ive had in over 20 yrs since leaving the Bay Area in California. KC residents if you have not been please go. Visitors please go enjoy the food and staff. Nice family style atmosphere.

The food was absolutely perfect! Very fresh ingredients, huge portions, food came out quickly and the service was very welcoming. Thank you for treating us like family we can't wait to come home again for dinner!

Not very authentic. The pho is meh and the stir fries are more Chinese than Vietnamese. Crab Rangoon isn’t a real Asian food, it’s American. For what that’s worth.

Pho was good and priced about right compared to other Vietnamese places in town. Came out in a reasonable amount of time too. Service wise, I was left alone during my meal. It's common that I'm asked how my meal is or if I need anything, but no one spoke to me after taking my order and I didn't get any water refills either. The place was about 85% full when I was there.

Absolutely amazing experience with the best Pho i’ve ever had. My wife had one of their fried rice plates and both were delicious, healthy portions, and worth every penny! Not over priced at all, very similar to other Pho places we’ve tried. Definitely made it on the top 5 KC eateries for when we visit again!!

My favorite place to eat pho in KC, hands down. This visit I ventured away from pho and got a clear noodle soup that did not disappoint. I rate my soups at restaurants by how much I have to add to it and at Vietnam Cafe, I never add anything. This will be my spot anytime I'm in KC. Give them a try for sure, they won't let you down!!

This is our go-to pho place! Their broth is always seasoned so well and their food is very fresh! The price of their spring rolls is a bit steep as their rolls are small but that’s alright! Still very good! Highly recommend this place! The pictured Pho is H1 ($13.25)! H2 ($13.75) is very good as well!

My first time and was suggested by others. A cold day I was craving something warm so I took a shot. Believe I got the Shrimp Pho. It was good but probably just not my personal jam in terms of flavor and consistency. I tend to like heartier “soups” with more veggies and packed with flavor. This was a lot of broth with light somewhat bland flavor. I kept adding seasonings and spice to mine. I think it would make a great starting base for something else! The shrimp was great and nice quality. A very simple interior for a quick bite, not really a hangout spot. They take your order, bring it out and you walk up and pay. They don’t check in on you or really converse. Not much to say about that. I will try it again and admittedly I was a novice with this menu and still learning. No concerns, just again not sure it aligns perfectly with my own preferences for “soup based” lunch on a cold day!

I love this place. The phở bò is fantastic (and it has magical healing properties if you have a hangover). Seriously, it's soooooo good. The staff are awesome. The service is great. They treat you like family. The atmosphere is fine. Don't expect fancy. This place is about the food and it doesn't disappoint. Order the phở bò.

The food is great. I travel 10 hours twice a year for their pho. Also made space for 20 of my friends. This is now the tourist spot in KC

Been coming here for years but finally getting around to telling you how great the pho is! I have since found better places for my taste buds, but this place was the OG they have plenty of space now that they opened up the other side and that's been there for awhile now. Fast payment when ready and the staff can be hit or miss. They don't exactly come by and refill my drink as often probably to save money on not refilling everyone's drink all the time. Overall I still like this place even if there are better options now.

The best beef pho and vegetarian vermicelli in the Kansas city! Very fresh and flavorful.

I’ve never written a bad review and I don’t always find it necessary but in search for good Bun Bo Hue in the area I had a bowl here that tasted like watery broth, no spice, no sourness, no richness or flavor I’ve had with Bun Bo Hue before. I added sriracha like 3 times and some fish sauce for any flavor and it still didn’t help. There also wasn’t any pork blood, I can get past that, then a few pieces of beef, pork belly, and ham which were just fine. The workers were nice but there was no one to come by to follow up otherwise I probably would’ve asked for some kind of spicy paste or something. Overall this just didn’t taste anything like the punchy and umami bomb Bun Bo Hues I’ve had before. Maybe they have had good bowls before and just didn’t care to give me that today, but I hope they improve this moving forward!

I used to live near KC a decade ago and this place was a bit smaller but the food was amazing. 10 years later when I revisit, they expanded the space a little and there's a more clean and modern vibe now. The pho quality went down a little bit and the service is pretty mid but not horrendous I guess. The sweet potato fries and shrimp appetizer has always been my favorite dish to order and is still as amazing as ever.

They are ok food. While the dishes were labeled as Vietnamese, they lacked the depth and complexity of flavors that are characteristic of authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

Just a good full bowl of Pho, great price and the egg rolls are awsome.

This place is good and considered the best Vietnamese place in KC but I prefer xu xugen on North oak. According to people who have been to been to Vietnam. This is more hanoi. The north capitol and the other one is more Saigon the south capital but I don't know for sure

I’ll start of by saying the food was tasty. The pho and garlic noodles were good. The spring rolls were bland and the chicken in the vermicelli was over cooked. The service was the real low light here. I realized when checking out the one order of spring rolls was two, the vegetables my wife wanted on the side of the garlic noodles never came and we had to wait for another server to come to provide us with water. Really disappointed in the service here, because I saw good reviews.

I’ve been eating here for years and it’s always been a favorite spot. I usually get a bun bowl or pho and it’s reliably good food. The Vietnamese coffee comes out with the metal steeping thing on top still to brew it and I know it probably doesn’t matter but it makes me happy.

I have been eating at this restaurant fairly often for the last two years, I always get the chicken pho because it is the best and yesterday I tried something new on the menu. I don't remember the name but it was S1 and it was amazing! The service is always amazing as well, my husband and I always get greeted with a smile and a warm welcome back.:) I defiantly recommend eating here if you are wanting to try new foods or if you are a big PHO lover like me!

I got the beef pho here, and it was great! It was a bit busy so servers were behind, but a nice casual dining ambience.

Best pho you'll find in this state at LEAST. I can't speak highly enough truly. The dine in is just as great as takeout. If youre a lil weirded out by some meat I just go with the veggie pho (it is NOT vegan). I freaking love the peanut sauce that comes with the spring rolls. I tell everyone I know, I work by a lot of hotels so I definitely spread the word for you guys (; pretty much a walking ad right here lol.

By far the best Vietnamese restaurant in Kansas. The new remodel has expanded the dining area which allows for more spacious seating and larger parties. The menu has numerous options in every category and nothing will break the bank so you can sample a lot of the menu to find your favorite items. Highly recommend the Pho if you're sick as an instant pick me up. I've eaten here for the better part of two decades and have never been disappointed.

in town for a visit. went to vietnam cafe based on the reviews. kinda of a let down. food is ok but not worthy of a 5 star rating. prices are a bit high for what you get. got the pho. i eat pho at least once a week. this place just didn't do it for me. onto the next place.
