This place was amazing! If I could give it ten stars, I would. The food was incredible and portion sizes were perfect. The owner himself greets you as soon as you walk in and is very attentive your whole visit. It truly is a small family run restaurant and you can tell they truly care about what they do. We will definitely be back and will recommend this restaurant to everyone we know.

This is a small fairly authentic Italian place. The food and wine is average, pricey, and the service can be a little slow. But nice ambiance and easy to get a table.

I recently dined at Vino E Pasta and unfortunately, it was a rather unpleasant experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt off. The vibe was weird—an odd mix of uncomfortable silence and strange music that didn’t seem to fit together. It was as if the place couldn’t decide what it wanted to be, which left me feeling uneasy. I was greeted with cold, disinterested stares, and when I asked questions about the menu, the responses were curt and dismissive. It felt as though my presence was an inconvenience rather than a welcome. The food itself was average at best, but the overall experience was so negative that it overshadowed any redeeming qualities the meal might have had. I couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t wanted there, which made it hard to enjoy anything. I left a $100 tip on a $70 tab, just to show the staff you don't have time be all dressed up and white to get some respect. I even called in and made a reservation and was not informed anything about their ”dress code”. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment unless you enjoy a side of rudeness with your meal. There are plenty of other places where you can spend your money and actually feel welcomed.

Food didn’t have an authentic taste, pasta seemed like it came from a box. My snapper was very tiny and drenched in sauce to make the plate seem aesthetically pleasing. Our server wasn’t very attentive, didn’t ask to see if we wanted a second glass of wine, no desert, checked on us once and was gone. It’s definitely a very cozy atmosphere but for the price i expected something a little more authentic.

Parking limited and problematic; Service a bit slow but efficient; Ambiance attractive "old world"; Food a bit mixed: calamari was a bit tough and chewy but the fried zucchini was very tasty; linguine vongole was excellent with more than a dozen tender clams; veal piccata was way too lemony overwhelming the dish. Mgr. removed it from the bill when he noticed it had hardly been touched--good recovery and appreciated. Overall a bit disappointing given they are rated No. 2 in Tampa!

A MUST GO FOR ITALIAN FOOD IN TAMPA! This is a beautiful place! We are you from Atlanta and stopped here hungry at 1045 & they closed at 11. They still fed us with great service! The dining room is cute, welcoming and romantic. Roses on each table. The lasagna was soooo good! My friend is vegan and they made her pasta and vegetables. The veggies looked fresh and not over cooked. We is was a beautiful experience. They also gave us roses before we left. I appreciate them for the good hospitality and highly recommend!

Worst experience ever, if you are black don’t go there, I sensed racism in that restaurant, I went on a recommendation, and I noticed how the manager approached each of the tables to welcome them, and he just look at me and my boyfriend just looked at us and didn't come closer, the ensalada was old and saggy, after the salad It took them 45 minutes to bring dinner, like they us to say something or just get the F out of there, we notice how people who arrived last than us were served first, the pasta is the same for everyone, the only thing that is different is the meat on the plate, the ladies get a flower to take home at the end, my flower was old and saggy like my salad.

Very warm and comfortable dining experience with relaxing live Cello music playing in the background. The authentic Italian food was fresh, prepared beautifully, and very tasty. It was a busy Saturday night, all the staff were very busy but friendly, We waited quite a long time for our entrées and needed a bit more service as we wanted to order more wine and food , but found it a bit difficult to get the attention of a server to help us. Welcome to VINO E PASTA. It is literally a small place from the outside, but when you open the door and step in you will find that you have gone to a place you did not expect. It looks as if you have taken a step back into Italy and entered a small and friendly place that will get you through the evening. And, as you spend the time there you realize it is good you have the reservation beforehand. Otherwise you will be standing outside and hope that a spot becomes available for you. A WAY TO MEET AND GREET. If you are there for a gathering of friends or family, it is important that you first get to the table and sit down to start talking. The team comes around and hands out the menu to start. Naturally the first thing to do is to consider a cocktail, a beverage, or being Italian, maybe a bottle of wine. They will hand you the wine menu to consider. There is a good variety to choose from. Including a selection of wines from Italy. And that is ideal when you are in an Italian restaurant. Here are wines to review and consider and to discuss with those who might enjoy a glass during the conversations. Taking our time we agreed on having a Ruffino Chianti Classico, 2019. The waiter took the order and we waited. In the meantime we could talk and look at the menu for dinner. Naturally, being Italian, we had to start with appetizers. That is only natural. Appetizers are next. We had placed that order first before selecting what we would have for dinner. First selected was the Fried Calamari and Zucchini. This was warm and slightly breaded as expected. We all tried it. With the first bite we could tell it was fresh. The calamari was caught that day and tasted as it should. Fresh, flavorful and tender. Not over cooked or hard. It was ideal to try. As for the zucchini, which is an interesting combination, that too was fresh and tender. The flavor was not over seasoned. It was as to be expected as if it was the flower of a zucchini. And that is rare to have in many places. Next up was the Eggplant Rollatini. As an appetizer this was not something you expect. You receive several “rolls” which we then sliced so we could all have a try. The sauce was fresh on top. The eggplant was tender and just right. It was stuffed with some meat and seasoning as required. Once the appetizers had arrived we did place our main order. Once more, being from an Italian family we ordered the same way we ate. You just keep eating and talking. First out was the Melanzana Parmigiana ali Hugotine. This was freshly sliced eggplant with melted mozzarella. The top was mixed with fresh spinach which was an interesting touch. This was all marinated in a light marinara sauce. Next came the Lasagnas. These were large slices of a favorite. The freshly made pasta was layers of meat and cheese and sauce and more. Naturally this was topped with a heavy sauce that was richer than a marinara sauce. It too seemed to have a mixture of cheese blended into it. It was not expected to be like this. Fettuccine Carbonara came next. This is not a typical dish in many establishments. But here it was available, and we knew we had to try. This dish is made by cooking bacon, shallots, onion, and garlic, then tossing it with fettuccine pasta and a creamy sauce. The bacon was thick and cut into cube slices. The garlic was light but tasty. The sauce was thick and creamy. You could almost use a spoon to pick up the sauce itself. The we had the fish starting with Snapper Champagne. It was a fresh filet of snapper just caught. It was sauteed in a light and creamy champagne sauce. This was with clam juice and white wine. It was then topped with crabmeat granita. We also had homemade Seafood Raviolis that were filled with shrimp and lobster, then topped with a creamy lobster style seafood sauce. It was arranged with shrimps and muscles. The heavy sauce made you take your time to enjoy each one and you tried each piece of seafood individually. It was different. Dessert was typical. Tiramisu, and on the opposite, we had Oreo Cake. Total piece of chocolate for all who might like chocolate. Finally a Limoncello Cake. It is made with fluffy sponge cake layers, brushed with a limoncello syrup, filled with a thin layer of lemon curd and frosted with a decadent mascarpone and cream cheese frosting. It was also topped with a bit of pecan for an extra touch of taste. The food selection is good and has a good choice to select from. It is not over abundant. The selection is fine and diverse. The prices are reasonable (and sometimes higher than expected, including the wine selection). The dish is plentiful. The sauce is good although, this too, is a bit heavier than expected in other locations or even when in Rome. You can use a spoon to finish it off, or maybe a loaf of bread will help. It is your choice after all. The flavor is good, the right amount of spice and taste. It is all fresh and warm. Ciao / Chow.

I have been living in south Tampa for 4 years, and I've been eagerly waiting to try this place. As much as I appreciated the owner giving us a last minute reservation, I have a lot to say about my first experience here. First off, when we arrived, the restaurant had no ice, so I waiting 15 minutes for a glass of ice water and my sangria. By the time I had gotten them, my boyfriend had already drank his 1st glass of wine and we ate our less than mediocre bruschetta. The crostini was hard as a rock, and the brushetta was just diced tomato topped with basil. Definitely wasn't the consistency I'm used to. No bad or good words to say about our Cesar salad. I ordered the Lasagna as an entree. It was delicious in their pink sauce with sausage. My Boyfriend had the chicken picatta. Chicken was overcooked and there were only a few capers on it. It was more along the lines of a pizzeria, not a ristorante. We ended the meal with an espresso and cappuccino of course. After a meal I'm sure I wont be returning for, we landed with a $140 bill and a tip guideline at the bottom that only had 25, 30, and 35%. I can tell you we didn't leave 25%, not because we don't tip generously, but it felt right after this experience. Beside the food- The mother in her 70s and daughter in her 40s next to us made a comment that the waiter was yelling at her. The mom was also charged for a $175 bill that was not hers. We were both put in the front corner where a fly was buzzing around. I will say I appreciated the atmosphere once they put music on and it got darker. That was the most authentic part about it. All in all, I am disappointed in the place I've been looking forward to for so long. I suppose it is a curse I have a NY Italian boyfriend- we know what good food is.

19 Jun 2024, this was our first time trying this little restaurant. We don't live in Tampa, but passed by this restaurant one day. So we decided to do some research and check out some of its reviews. Well, Wow! What a great place to eat. The service and food was outstanding! We started with a recommended appetizer of "Burrata," yummy it was...some greens with a cheese like dumpling with a tasty wonderful balsamic dressing. Our entrees included Lasagna, Veal Marsala and a side of Spaghetti Carbonara. The entrees were delish, well prepared and flavorful. Our two desserts included an order of Lemoncello and Pistachio Cake...yum-yum. Yes! No doubt, we would recommend this place to all. Thanks to all the staff at Vino E. Pasta for a wonderful meal and experience.

This will be our new go-to Italian restaurant in the Bay Area! They had some of the best lasagna I’ve had in Tampa and St Petersburg. One thing to note is that their dishes are heavy-handed with bacon. If that doesn’t bother you, then you will like the restaurant. I’m not sure I can bring my Italian parents here who are Pescetarian since the restaurant is meat-heavy. I’d pass on the other pasta dishes and just go for the lasagna! The cannoli were fabulous too.

We were easily accommodated and enjoyed an intimate dinner. If you’re having a specific craving for pasta, this place has the BEST lasagna! The lasagna is a true masterpiece, a symphony of flavors that dance on the palate with every bite. Layers of perfectly cooked pasta, rich Bolognese sauce, and creamy béchamel come together in harmony, creating a dish that's both comforting and indulgent. I can't say enough good things about Vino E Pasta! My boss and myself came out to Tampa for a wine pouring event (we have a winery in Napa Valley). The event ended late. We noticed this restaurant online and thought it was worth a shot. Maybe they would still be open at 10pm. Not only were they open but the food, wine and atmosphere was amazing! They had a fabulous singer/ guitarist. Lots of locals who obviously knew this place was special. Very authentic Italian food! We had the calamari/ zucchini app. A pasta stuffed with cheese and pear,( this was my bosses pick, wasn't sure if I would like it) it was unbelievable! She had the Chicken piacatta with pasta, I had chicken parm with the pasta. They offered a veggie side instead of pasta, which usually I would get the healthy veggie, but I had to get the pasta with this meal. We were stuffed! Then they brought out this beautiful tray of dessert. We couldn't pass it up and got the canolli with a cappuccino. Then the waiter cane out with roses for us! Who does that these days? Upon arrival, my family and I were greeted with an unwelcoming atmosphere. Despite there being only one other family present, the staff seemed disinterested and unengaged. We stood waiting for acknowledgment, while they huddled together, casting us glances that felt anything but inviting. Once seated, the lack of hospitality continued. Our server failed to even offer a basic greeting, displaying a remarkable absence of manners and communication. The collective attitude from the staff exuded arrogance, as if they believed they were doing us a favor by allowing us to dine there. As more patrons arrived, the sudden shift in the staff's demeanor was noticeable. Suddenly, they were animated and engaged, chatting away with other tables while neglecting their earlier indifference towards us. It was a perplexing sight, leaving me questioning the consistency of their service. Turning to the food, I must admit I had higher expectations. The dishes fell short of delivering anything remarkable. Take, for instance, the fettuccine carbonara, which promised a rich and flavorful experience but instead tasted like a dull alfredo pasta dish. My time at Vino e Pasta was spoiled by lousy service and disappointing food. I had expected a memorable meal, but I left feeling thoroughly let down. Given my experience, I cannot honestly suggest this place to others.

My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary and we experienced the highest quality of service. All of the servers, as well as the owner were so attentive; they made our dining experience one of the best! The food came out so fast that it was almost like we had ordered fast food and were not at a sit down restaurant, and the whole time we were eating we were in awe of how good the food tasted. We will definitely be coming back, and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Not knowing that reservations are suggested, they accommodated us for my friend's birthday celebration !!!! My friend was delighted with their singing and providing her with a memorable experience !!! The freshly made to order food was amazing !!! This place is now going to be in our great restaurant list for special occasions !!!!

It is always an exceptional experience when you visit this restaurant. They now have music via a cellois. Not too loud...just right for our conversation. A great place in South Tampa.

My cousin took my Wife and I there for her birthday. Small and romantic, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Everything was on point. It's owned by a husband and wife with pretty much all family working. Mr. Luigi walks the entire establishment and speaks with all the customers. He has a very pleasant personality and I enjoyed the conversation we had. If you are in Tampa or come to visit, make sure you visit this establishment you won't regret it.

The best Italian in Tampa! Family owned and operated! The owner went to every table to great costumers and made you feel welcome. I went for a friends birthday and they accommodated our big group and gave the ladies a rose after the meal! Great atmosphere, amazing food, they had a singer and guitar player serenading the tables too!

What is really meant when we use the word authentic' ? It’s that the dishes and recipes are as close to what is accepted as traditional in its country of origin. This is an accurate meaning of the word authentic. Clearly others using this word to describe the food served here do not understand this concept. The food is very bland, sauce tastes like it’s straight from a jar, unseasoned, the breading on the chicken parm was wet and soggy, the cheese on top looked old like it had been sitting for hours. My husband’s eggplant was bland and soggy as well. There’s no way it was made authentically. No garlic or even garlic salt used, No fresh basil, no fresh oregano, no fresh Parmesan or mozzarella cheese. Less than mediocre.

Hospitality. It is not often you find hospitality in restaurants anymore. Let alone AMAZING hospitality. From the moment I called to make my reservation, to the second I left with our waiter holding the door for us to exit, it was IMMACULATE hospitality from the heart. Start to finish. This quant, unpretentious Italian restaurant is family owned and operated. How often do you see a working owner? Taking reservations, filling patrons water glasses...taking entree orders? You don't. Our water glasses were constantly topped off, our bottle of wine was always being poured. Minus lifting our fork to eat, we didn't have to lift a finger. Not only was the service impeccable...the food was top tier. 10/10. From our mouthwatering appetizer purse shaped pasta in their princess sauce) to our delicious entree's (I got the veal piccata with carbonara pasta and my husband got the chicken parmesan with the house pasta), down to our delectable dessert (tiramisu). Everything was Spot. On. Topping the evening off with an espresso, the waiter prepared our bill, which I would have paid triple for, for the experience we just had. He also gave me a rose, once paid. Something that I noticed they did for every single female -little girls included- all night long. This was our first time here. We loved it so much we booked for the next night before we head back to Orlando where we are from. But now we will become regulars and frequent here often. It's even worth the l4 trafffic. Do yourself a favor and check this Hidden Gem out. You will NOT be disappointed.

Tried the lasagna for lunch. Wow. The portion looked kind of small when it came out, but was actually perfect for a midday meal. The pasta was cooked perfectly. I could distinctly taste both the meat and sauce and was very impressed. The atmosphere for weekday lunch is casual but I was told it is a but more formal for dinner. I highly recommend trying this place if you are craving Italian. It is worth mentioning it is a small building and the tables are somewhat close together, which made it feel more European in my opinion and not a bad thing. Would be a good place to take a date or have a date night.

Best ITALIAN place I have been to in Tampa! They don't need reviews, or Resy or Open Table. I have never enjoyed such an amazing experience with the best food. Do not judge the outside book by its cover, this place is amazing from food, to atmosphere to service. They really make you feel like you're so special. My husband and I just walked in thinking it was a typical Italian spot, but nope it's a fine place, great wine, great prices and the service is impeccable. They don't judge you wearing yoga pants, but it's def a nicer place. Go and treat yourself, you will not be dissapointed. It just doesn't get better than this. Do call and make reservations, it's a small place and we were lucky they could make room for newbies to enjoy!!

I want to say firstly, I've been here and/ordered out over the years and . I've also ordered uber eats multiple times and I have no idea what's happened but this time it was a complete disaster. The penne w/vodka was bland and tasted watered down. The chicken marsala lacked flavor and it tasted like even the mushrooms had no flavor. The pasta rolatini had a little flavor but was missing its deliciousness I love. I haven't tried my lasagna that I ordered yet, but based on my other family members meals that I did try bites of, who were all unhappy, my hopes are quickly dwindling. I have absolutely loved this place and it's food in the past, but this time it really struck out. After spending $130, I'm very disappointed with the quality of food. What happened?!?!

Overall our family had a nice dinner for my birthday. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was friendly and there was live music playing. After reading the reviews I was expecting the food to be exceptional, but it didn’t meet those expectations. The chicken parmigiana was a bit bland and the marinara sauce was slightly above average.

We live near and always drive by saying we need to go, finally did and did not disappoint. Both of us got the specials, not on the menu as we told our waiter we prefer seafood. Our waiter sang, played guitar and they had other live music. Overall great experience, they were in no hurry to have us leave too.
