I had a horrible experience. Ordered pizza to be delivered, was told 45 minutes. An hour later I called to check and I was told it had just come out of the oven. They apologized and said it would be delivered soon... 30 more minutes I called again. The girl asked if I wanted to see if the manager would give any compensation for it taking so long, I agreed. She came back on the phone and said the manager said no. In the background I heard the manager saying 'if she doesn't want it we can cancel the order.' Then when I was telling the girl how this was not good customer service, I heard the manager in the background laughing. Mind you, the pizza showed up 1 hour and 50 minutes after ordered. We did send it back. It is too bad. Vitos used to be one of the best pizza places around. Never again.

This place is a diamond in the rough. The price, quality, and service speak for itself and I will take this pizza over the other big brands nearby all day.

Over promised and under delivered! Not worth the wait. Owner needs to teach their process to the staff! Staff comprised of teenage kids playing vulgar music while walking around. Missed items on the order and had to ask for the remaining items 2 times!

First time ordering and I wanted a large calzone, which you guys don’t do, but no one explained to me on the phone..when I went to pick up my order, no one knew why my order was changed to a cheese pizza?? I cancelled my order once I arrived to the store but at that point didn’t want to wait forever for a new order. I went to Wendy’s…instead that day.

Amazing pizza. We ask for extra crispy and it is absolutely amazing every time. The price!!! Super cheap compared to mellow, Pizza Hut. Papa John’s and ETC… Just pizza, a couple of pretty good salads and a few deserts. Honestly, for just a pizza night you can’t beat this place on quality or price. Y’all be safe and God bless

Specifically called in for a pick up order and to let them know that I leave Google reviews. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Unfortunately, dissatisfied again 😔 I tried really hard to enjoy this pizza . I called in and asked for a New York style pizza, thin crust, pepperoni and cheese only and especially a crispy bottom!! pizza has no flavor. I actually added Italian seasoning and Parmesan Romano after my first bite to give it a little bit of flavor. As you can see in the picture, it’s definitely not New York style. I literally want it HARD AND STIFF🤷🏻‍♀️ I am willing to give it a “ third time is a charm” opportunity, and re-evaluate my review until then……

Ordered pizza from Vit's a few times now. The prices are solid and they deliver for free which is wild. I had no plan on leaving this review until I had comments removed from the ClayEats FB group for being negative because I said the pizza was greasy, but here we are. Have ordered multiple times. First time tried Pepperoni and it was covered in grease so thought maybe the pepperoni was causing it, that's understandable, but it also didn't really have any flavor. Tough to eat an extremely floppy pizza full of grease that also just doesn't taste like anything. Tried again and ordered two different pizzas. Did just a cheese pizza and then another one with some veggies and chicken. Both were absolutely swimming. I almost came off like water and not even grease. I don't know what they're doing at this place. I will give it one more try, maybe try coming in to eat or get a calzone/stromboli or something different, maybe the lunch slice thing or something. Maybe something has changed recently and it used to be amazing, but that has not been our experience.

place is a mess so much does and grime on all the vents dirty drink area i obviously shows they dont clean pizza was ok not the same place that won best pizza in response to the owner the dust is not from flour u can tell the difference u can tell it hasn't been clean for months health code violation when the dust on vents and products starts looking like the inside of a lent trap you no it not cuz pizza making process the place is run down and no it wasn't busy I was the only one there at 2 in the after noon the place has really going down hill

Really nice people. It was very busy Friday night, but a well-oiled machine. The pizza was very good, cannoli's really good. If I'm in the area, I'll stop back in.

This place gets five stars for the quality of their food and great service. They have the best prices in town for all their menu items and the best tasting pizza in all of Duval/Clay counties. After the first bite we haven’t ordered from another pizza joint in town unless it’s late since they close pretty early. I always recommend to all my family and friends that come to visit. Only bonus that could be had is a larger delivery service area or adding third party delivery services.

Recently took my son's football team there for the end of season celebration they were awesome as usual EJ took good care of us all the boys had a good time including some of the parents. Thank you EJ for a wonderful experience for the boys. Vito's is awesome. Love thier 🍕 pizza. The owner is great to work with. Been going there for 15 + years.

Best NY-style pizza this side of St. John’s, without question. Their prices are competitive with the big pizza chains, but they surpass them in quality in every way. I consider myself a bit of a pizza snob, and Vito’s has never missed the mark for me 😙🤌 Stop paying the same or more for low-quality, subpar pizza from corporate chains. Support small businesses instead! The staff at Vito’s is friendly and competent, which isn’t always guaranteed nowadays. Highly recommend!

Update: In my opinion, still one of the best pizza shops here! Very affordable, nice and cheesy, even if it gets messed up, they fix it right away! Thank you for the continued great pizza and service! Oh my goodness, the extra cheese pizza is soooooo good!! W don't even live in Florida but when we go to Florida to visit family, we have to get this pizza!!!

The best pizza place on Blanding

Went there approximately 7 yrs ago for pizza with my wife and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the workers very respectful which is great to see compared to other places. No doubt the owner is a big believer in service and taken care of his employees and that's why my wife and I keep going back 3 to 4 times a month. I make sure I tell my friends about Vito's Pizzeria. If you like pizza I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

When we were told the best pizza in jax was found, we hopped right in the car to go find out for ourselves. This family owned pizza shop blew our expectations out of the water. From the garlic knots we spotted right as we walked in and immediately devoured as it was served fresh to our table. All the way to the fresh ingredients which made the taste spectacular on our pizza’s and calzone. Meeting the owner was so cool and hearing about how he picks the finest ingredients and knowing no other pizza joint in jax really compares to the quality and taste of the pizza. The best part of all of it is we brought our son who is still under 2 and he was treated so kindly by the staff and we felt so welcome when we normally get nervous about how he will act in restaurants on any given day. Thank you Vito for having a place that made us feel like family as soon as we walked in. We will be back soon! P.s. the pizza tastes AMAZING still the second day!!!

We had a Very poor experience walked in for pick up the lighting was low that you couldn't get a good look at it but smelled good but when we got home the meaty pizza was only half barely meat and mostly cheese and the other was more meat than cheese... this was the Worst we've Ever Gotten...then I called in to explain the situation to the manager and she expects us to return the pizza to see what may be wrong ONLY TO MAKE ANOTHER ONE I wasn't trying to get another one I wanted a refund... bottom of it was burnt on the edges and All she said is we needed to bring it back... I'M SORRY YOU JUST LOST TWO CUSTOMERS AND WILL NEVER GO BACK EVER...

Great pizza. I’ve had both a white and cheese pizza’s. There are tables but it’s mostly take-out.

We have been coming to Vito’s for many years now. But the last few times we have seen the food and service quality really go down. Today we ordered a pepperoni pizza and bread sticks. The unhappy girl that took our order said that they were out of breadsticks. Apparently they had no plan to make anymore breadsticks either. It seems to me that if you’re making pizza that you might have the ingredients to make breadsticks. We were dining in and would have been happy to wait for them. The pizza was also super greasy this time. Time before, pizza was way well done. Never had it like this at Vito’s. Time before that I stopped in at 8:50pm to place a to go order and was told that I could only have a pepperoni pizza because they are getting ready to close. I then watched the pizza maker make the pizza I ordered. But I could only have pepperoni. It seems like this place is under new ownership because the original owner would never let this happen to his business.

This place is a hidden gem. Pleasantly surprised how delicious it was given the cheap prices. It has the highest ratings for a reason.

Overall the pizza was decent. I took my two kids here and we shared a large half pepperoni and half cheese pizza. The cheese seemed a bit underdone, and there wasn’t enough pepperoni on the pie for my taste. The lobby/dining area leaves a bit to be desired. I love the sticker machine at the front counter!

Great food, great customer service

Called at 300 on a Sunday, which you would think wouldn’t be peak hour. Kept getting put on hold for several minutes..called back twice and immediately put on hold. Honestly felt like someone didn’t want to work or they were messing with me. Decided to get pizza elsewhere.

Pizza had lots of cheese and just the right amount of sauce. Another place to return to. Reasonable prices and delicious food. The perfect combination!

Was in town for a few days, passed this place on our way to our location. Several pizza places in the area, figured we would give it a shot. Got two meat lovers and one regular pizza. Between seven of us we were barely able to finish the second pie. Delicious, filling, definitely worth the money. They also advertised their two slice and a drink special, call them for more info.

The white veggie pizza (we added bacon) was phenomenal!!! We ordered on New Years Eve and it only took them less than 20 minutes! Insane service and delicious food! We will be back!

Service was a pleasant experience, but the food 🤢 was not. I normally, personally order from NY Pizza, 5 Star or Brick Oven… But decided to give this place a try due to the good reviews. And nope. Unfortunately this place is not it. The pizza was full of grease and barely any toppings. The cannoli was bomb, but the pizza was not. I will stick to my usual places.

I always carry out, as most do. Nothing fancy just good food. I always get calzones but have had the pizza and it's great too. Beware the additional $1 charge for paying with credit or debit card.

Vito's pizza has great flavor. The sauce and crust are really good, but, they don't always cook it enough and the crust comes out soggy and doughy. Twice now, we have had to cook it longer to crisp up the crust. They got the recipe right, just need to cook it better. 2023 - Updating this review. Further experiences have been much better. The crust and sauce are the best in town. Prices are right too.

Fantastic pizza and great prices!

Pizza delivered through door dash. I was so excited to order from here based on the reviews. I didn't care for the crust, way too thin, and couldn't hold the toppings. The crust taste was so so, and I did not care for the cheese taste. I am not sure if it was a mixture of cheeses, and it was very oily to the point that it was running out of the box.

Nothing to write home about. And where we come from, the medium is a s.m.a.l.l. 12", for goodness sake. (16" large!) Meatball..., HA!. Little beef, more like little pellets. Ew! Unlikely to return for this $$. Caesar was good/large. Jury's out on the brownies.

The place was 💯 slammed on Friday night but the young staff working here were knocking it out of the park! Our pizzas were hot, fresh and the crust was on point! Love this place!

First time visitor... Pizza is very good although heavy on the grease when first served. I had to dab the surface with a napkin before eating. Crust was excellent. Cheese, sauce and toppings were good but unremarkable... in other words a good solid New York style pie, but not the best. That being said, this is the best lunch value around. 2 slices and a drink for $5 (during this Biden economy... are you kidding?). Well done Vito. 👏🏼 Lastly, to the reviewer who gave one-star because the cutting of the slices was off (you know who you are Tania), that's pretty lame. This is somebody's livelihood. You say you've been coming here for years, but they make one mistake and you crush them. Come on! At least be fair in your star rating.

The pizza was not cooked long enough. The calzone was like a slice of pizza folded over. I love Vito's Pizza. But the last 2 pizzas I've had were not good. What has happened there?

I have always loved vitos since stumbling upon them about 4 years ago. Any friends or family that come in out of state or just haven't been there I always take them up to vitos! The flavors are amazing and they have something for everyone! They are a my favorite pizza place by far! Not badly priced either!

I don't know how people say this is the best. it's greasy and weird tasting.

The absolute BEST pizza in Clay County. However, the reason for only 4 stars is that it is seriously dirty in the entire restaurant and they use it as some sort of odd storage unit near the bathrooms. But, we've never gotten sick from their food and it is without a doubt the best pizza around!
