Get in the line as soon as you can but everything is delicious and worth the wait. (The lunch line goes pretty quick anyway).

Most places make the food look better than it tastes but not here. Favorite Deli by far! I highly recommend the buffalo chicken on Hawaiian bread. Can’t go wrong with the meat balls either. This is easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten! This place has been on my list for many months since I learned about it, and since it's close to work, I was finally able to go there for lunch with a co-worker one day. Since they're only open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., I had to do it on a work day since going there on the weekend isn't an option. When we arrived, the line was literally almost out the door. Probably at least 20 people in line in front of us. The line moved quickly, the guys behind the counter are super friendly and efficient, and most importantly make some of the most delicious sandwiches in existence! The food and customer service were A+++.

I heard this was the best in St Louis so I finally was working nearby and had to get a sandwich. After a 40min wait in line I was pretty excited. I got the Italian Classic... Can't go wrong with a classic... Honestly it was subpar at best. The guy making it was new, ok who cares.. I thought. Come to find out after I left and started moaning down I realize didn't put the hot giardiniera! So disappointed.

Ok let me start off , I'm a foodie like us all and I was a first timer today. Absolutely loved the vibe being family owned and ran. It makes you feel like your in your old neighborhood hitting up a corner store for lunch. I got the Italian on Garlic cheese bread and it is Amazing!! HIGHLY recommend if you've never been you WON"T be disappointed!

I have the best sandwich I have ever had in my entire life at Vivola's! That is a really strong statement, and I stand behind it. I ordered the Moon sandwich. Buffalo chicken spicy sopressa, jalapeno cheddar cheese, spicy cream cheese,hot honey ranch, bacon crumble, pickles, lettuce n tomato with banana peppers. My partner ordered the Roast beef. I stole a bite and it was heavenly! 🥰 I can hardly say enough positive things about this place it was a wonderful experience! Get out here anytime you can! Can't wait to go back and try every sandwich! 10/10

Good Vibe- Good Food- Good People- 10/10 It was my second time here yesterday, but my partner usually came here to pick up for us.The only reason I can’t come here often because they open from 10am to 2pm M-F . If you don’t live/work nearby it’s kinda tricky to go here for lunch. The sandwiches here are absolutely amazing!!! Shout out to the lobster bisque too. Get the bowl for a better price. Honestly, you will never go wrong with any kind of sandwiches here. You gotta try it yourself!!!! The queue can be long but it moves very fast. Hands down, best sandwhiches around St. Louis!! My grandpa and i got the philly, the classic, and the breuben. Easily, the best reuben sandwhich i've ever had. The philly and the classic were also spectacular and everything was fully loaded, i'll definitely be coming back!!

What can I say about this place, except I wish it was closer to my house! I drive 60 minutes to get sandwiches from here. It's worth any traffic or time. The family that runs this place is awesome and very friendly and welcoming, the sandwiches are incredible! There is usually a line, but worth standing in every time. Don't pass this place up, it will become a regular spot once you try it!

Their sandwiches are fantastic! It's family owned and operated, the nicest people ever! My favorite is the Buffalo Chicken (ghost pepper cheese on french bread with green peppers, lettuce, and chipotle ranch) then they dynamite sauce add other ingredients to make it so freaking great! Everything I've had from there is amazing! They are very busy at lunch but worth the wait! Haven't been to Subway next door in years, since I discovered Vivola about 5 years ago 😀 ... no clue how Subway is still open. I would post a picture but forget to take one every time because it's so good!

I've only been here twice and got the Spicey Chicken Parm and Joes Spicy Italian, but WOW were they good. One of the best sandwich shops hands down. The people there are so nice too. Lunch rush can get a pretty long line though!

Hands down my favorite sandwich shop in STL. This is a true family business, and everyone there is so great. They are truly passionate about what they do, and it results in a one of a kind experience. They are only open for lunch and it’s not something you can go in and get quickly. There is a wait, but it is so worth it! The lobster bisque is to die for, and they me curate a unique sandwich with cheeses and sauces I don’t see at other places.

I have eaten here several times (a mix of dine in and carry out). I have tried several of their different sandwiches and not a single one of them has disappointed. Personal sandwiches of note are the Brett's Original and the Meatball. They have quite the selection of meats, cheeses, bread and condiments. All of the staff are friendly and eager to please. They take pride in their work and it shows. The only downsides are their business hours 10:00am to 2:00pm M-F, and the fact that the lines can be a little long. If time is a real factor for you then it might be a little tough. Having said that, if you have the time then don't miss out on Vivola Express.

I stopped here after reading an article about this being the best local sandwich shops. When I got there there was already a small line out the door which is how I know that the article was likely true. I was glad that when I got my sandwichs the Classic Italian and the Ham and Swiss and I can agree this is one of the best shops in town. I think part of the reason for the line is because the meat and cheese are freshly sliced once you order your sandwich which means it takes a little longer, but I definitely feel like it was worth it. I also got the lobster bisque and it was good as well I'm excited to go back and try more off their menu.

!!I HAVE NEVER ATE HERE!! Keep that in mind when reading. My job has tried getting lunch here on a couple occasions but no one ever answers the phone and there’s too many of us to order as a walk in. I’m not sure why the paper menu advertises as “call in for a carry out” when it simply is not possible.

We were looking for a sandwich after we landed in St. Louis. This place had great reviews and wasn't far from the airport so we stopped in. Awesome service and maybe the best BLT I've had with crispy bacon! Highly recommended

I heard about this place on the Rizz show and had to give it a try. I just smashed a Cuban and it was amazing. The service stands out, very friendly. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

First off great atmosphere in here and it was great to see some old classmates from school. As for the sandwich i got. I haven’t had a better on in Saint Louis. They got me right with a hot pastrami & roast beef with a specialty sauce. I inhaled it on my lunch and cant wait to head back in and get another one. Keep up the good work!! I was treated here for lunch and this spot is legit. The meat is sliced as you order and you can customize your sandwich like an old school car. I definitely recommend this spot.

First time here. My wife heard about it on The Point's morning show Pod Cast. We were in the area right at 1000, which was perfect timing since they're only open 1000-1400, and a line formed quickly. We chose to eat in the dining room, and there was a continuous line of about 5-6 people the whole time we were there. No worries, though, they were moving people through quickly. Great choice for lunch if you work in the area. Liked it so much that we bought a gift card for my parents who live in Maryland Heights. They're retired and are always on the lookout for a new place for lunch just to get them out of the house. Highly recommend and plan on making a return visit to try more sandwiches. Neither of us could finish our sandwiches, so we had a snack for later.

I am not at all a “sandwich” person, but I needed something quick for lunch and found this magnificent place right in my neighborhood! I don’t eat out much and wanted to try something new. This was my first time there, and I informed the staff and asked for a recommendation. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the man sitting at the front desk, and then immediately by Brett. Brett proceeded to make recommendations based on my preferences and informed me how my meal could be customized. He then proceeded to engage me in genuine, friendly conversation, while simultaneously fixing my food. He’s very personable and engaging, yet laid-back, professional, and expeditious at the same time. He made me feel as if we had known one another for years. Even when other customers entered after me, he didn’t hesitate to greet them and engage them in conversation, and then continue to keep me engaged as well. At one point, a worker that was taking lunch, the man (staff) sitting at the front, Brett, a customer, and myself were all engaged in conversation! The customer service exceeded my expectations and I could tell that it wasn’t rehearsed, and they were not going through the motions. I am very observant. Their love for their customers and passion for their craft brightly shines through, and you can honestly tell that they genuinely love what they do and the people they serve. I feel blessed to have met them! At one point, I called the restaurant shortly after I left, as there was a small hiccup during the process of Brett preparing my order. I requested, and was allowed, to speak to Brett personally…and his handling of our conversation solidified my personal observations and opinions of the staff during my visit. He apologized immediately, took accountability, empathized, corrected the mistake, and then offered to deliver the re-made order to me - his tone and pitched remained consistently friendly and genuine, despite the hiccup. I cannot stress enough how friendly and welcoming they make you feel when you walk in the door…and out of the door by topping it off with a warm farewell! The customer service solely is enough to warrant becoming a customer for life. Thank you for being such great humans as that is becoming more and more rare by the day to find! Oh…and the sandwich was delicious, and there is some brown soup/broth that it is served with that perfectly compliments the sandwich! Until next time!

This is my favorite sandwich shop anywhere. If you haven't tried it, go. It's worth waiting in line, and the line usually goes fast. I got the hot Italian beef this time, and it was piled high and delicious. Unique side options are awesome, and the people that work there are very friendly and welcoming. You can get whatever sandwich you want made, or let the masters do their thing behind the counter, and no matter what you won't be disappointed.

I can't believe that I didn't know this sandwich shop existed in a shopping plaza I have visited regularly. They have been there since 2001, longer than I have lived in St Louis County. I loved their meatball sandwich on garlic cheese bread. The meat, cheese, etc on my companion's sandwich was an inch deep. They customize to your liking, even on their standard sandwiches, plus there's a build your own option. Go early. We went on a Thursday at 11 and in 15 minutes there was a line. By 11:45 there was a line to and out the door. True some were socially distancing, but it's popular with folks because of the quality of the food. I can't go every week, but this will be my go to sandwich shop. The restroom was quique and very clean. Limited hours and limited seating are the only drawbacks that someone else might find, but not me.

Was just in St Louis for a couple of days and was craving a good sandwich. Read a lot about this place online so I had to go. Well, it was actually better than described. The sandwiches were delicious, the bread fresh baked , the meat stacked high with top quality freshly sliced, and some of the best deli cheeses. You can tell some of their condiments are hand made (along with the Lobster Bisque) but I'm an old meat & cheese & mustard guy. Great service, friendly conversation - - and fresh made chocolate chip cookies to finish it off. My only disappointment was that they were out of marbled rye, but the garlic cheese was great and my wife & daughter loved the Hawaiian rolls for their sandwiches! Definitely put any chain to shame! I'll be back next time I'm in St Louis.
