We have dined here many times for business, groups, or as a couple. The menu options were fairly limited but food was good. Spouse’s fish was dry-didn’t eat it. Server was loud and talked loudly to all her tables asking questions you felt compelled to answer. She first told us about soufflé upon greeting us and said it needed bake time. We said we wanted one for sure not sure what the other person would have for our anniversary. Then she brought dessert menus. We said the soufflé was ordered and she said no. Uhhhhh yes it was. We did not want the free champagne and dessert we wanted the soufflé. The big problem was her loudness and interaction between tables. We wanted a quiet upscale dinner not a Waffle House experience.

where do i even start?? this place was amazing! our server karen was so kind and very knowledgeable about the menu and any questions we asked. we ordered the filet and the elk and both were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing, our knifes cut through like butter. the mashed potatoes were honestly the best potatoes i’ve ever had. for dessert we have the soufflé which was to die for, as well as the chocolate cake which was also amazing. we told them it was our anniversary and they gave us a free little congratulations dessert and champagne. the view of the mountains are so beautiful from the windows as well. only negative thing is how expensive it was but that’s to be expected at a place like this. 10/10 experience

This was our first time at The Vue. We had visited Grove Park Inn and had drinks at The Edison last year and wanted to try a restaurant there. What a great choice we made! The atmosphere, the food and the service was phenomenal. I wish I could remember our servers name, but she had been there a long time and it showed. The food was AMAZING. My husband even ate a carrot, and he hates vegetables. Take the time to eat here. You will feel like royalty even if you are blue collar.

We had a really excellent anniversary dinner here last night. Our waitress Kim was great! We had the tuna to start and it was delicious. I had the haddock and it too was excellent. My wife had the mushroom salad to which she added scallops. Here was the only negative... The scallops weren't cooked. Kim immediately agreed and they went back and we received a new set. Almost right but we noted the problem. The scallops were only being seared on one side... So, this one side was simply seared longer. You can see this in the photo. Not correct, and something we mentioned that hopefully the chef corrects. So simple to not have this unforced error. A lovely slice of chocolate cake and champagne compliments of the house that we really appreciate. And, yes the view at Vue is stunning. We think even the small mistake should not keep this lovely spot off anyone's list.

Staying at Grove Park, we chose Vue 1913 for our final night dinner & were delighted! The grilled mozzarella starter was great with the drinks & prompt service. We chose the filets for dinner which were perfectly cooked & absolutely top quality cuts that were outstanding along with the sides. And the wine selection was great from a deep list. This is a wonderful, beautiful place with high end food & wines. We love Grove Park & Vue 1913 is absolutely a great compliment in excellence & elegance. Will eagerly return & will ask for a window table!

Super restaurant with a spectacular view (if you have a window table) located in a very quirky hotel well worth exploring before or after your meal. The service was outstanding, the food and wine is high end cuisine and extremely good and this is reflected in the prices. Special mentions for our waitress Kimberley who was in every way exceptional. For Jermaine, a super friendly guy and for the charming and highly competent manager, Kerri.

I got the overcooked short ribs . McDonald’s is better. It was dry and no taste. With the short ribs came an over vinegar kale . Omg horrible. My wife got the small scallops side at 26 dollars two bites. I have eaten at all the restaurants in the grove and love them all . This is a ripoff. I guess they make their money from tourism. I guess there gonna say we will take this up with our Director of Food & Beverage for evaluation. Another way not to answer a problem.

Ok. So here's the thing. I read all of these horrible reviews about this particular restaurant. So, to be honest I reluctantly made reservations. It was a rare opportunity for my wife and I to have a romantic getaway at the Grove Park Inn and I really wanted it to be special. When we arrived at our reserved time we were told it was going to be a bit longer. It was only about 10 minutes and they made every effort to be kind and keep us posted. That was a nice change from some of the service I'd received in the past, so I was happy about that. The servers, Diane and Jermaine were phenomenal. The food was incredible. My wife said it was the best Filet Mignon she'd ever had. I was very happy to hear that. I got the Sea Bass and it was very, very good. I highly recommend both of these entrees. The desserts were great too! So I say my compliments to the Manager, to the Chef, to the staff and even going all the way back to the front desk where the two young women were so friendly. To hear my wife say it was a beautiful view, the best steak, and to see the smile on her face made me decide to write this review. They even brought us a small dessert to share and two glasses of sparkling wine at no charge because my birthday was coming up soon. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. I highly recommend Vue 1913. The prices are a little high, but I'd pay it again for the night we had! Don't believe all the negative reviews, folks.

My partner had the wagyu filet which was a bit of a let down but the presentation was nice. Service was great and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

Ben is such a delightful human. He is an asset to the establishment and makes you feel instantly welcomed and appreciated. Ben's competence and attitude is such a breath of Asheville mountain fresh air. If you are lucky enough to be there when he is on the waitstaff, you will have a delightful time.

I had high expectations for Vue 1913 and don’t feel like they were satisfied. The menu was a bit limited, but no doubt quality ingredients. I got the sea bass which was very tasty. But my lemon tonic drink was not good… come to find out, rose water tastes like soap. My wife got the scallops, chefs mushrooms, and garden salad. She enjoyed it which means a lot to me. For dessert we ordered the soufflé, which was very tasty as well. I will absolutely go back to the Omni, but will try one of the other restaurants before going back to Vue 1913.

I booked this restaurant for a wedding anniversary dinner. The food here is delicious, the service is excellent. You can enjoy a fusion of flavors on your palate that you will not forget. My recommendation is to book in advance because it is not a first come first serve type of restaurant. It's not cheap so for a special occasion it's great. 💯 Recommended

Would not recommend if you looking for quite sit down dinner with love ones or friends. Restaurants manager allowing party if 10+ sitting with loud laughter and chit chat were they should have en sat in a private room or at least be respective to other parties. Could not hold meaningful conversation . Did not greet us or call us by name either. Main server was excellent. Assistant server did not bother to place and move our table cloth and silverware in front of us where there placed at different corners from our sitting. We did that our self!!. Again food however was excellant .

Was here for a girls trip. The staff and service truly go above and beyond. Kim was personable and attentive. The food was good but I do feel it was overpriced for what you get. I added the scallops but only 2 average sized scallops for $26 was a bit disappointing. My mother also added scallops to her filet meal and one scallop was significantly smaller than the other. Although everything was cooked perfectly. While the food was good I just wasn’t wowed. You’re also paying for the atmosphere which is nice. Kim is what made it 5 stars for me. The manager also was nice and very helpful. We didn’t get dessert but they give you little cookies anyway which is an extra touch. I think this would be a great place for a date, it is cozy and romantic with great views.

We had a great meal on a Saturday evening in February. Our server, Sandy, was very knowledgeable about each of the dishes they have to offer. We had a not so common question about one of their dishes. She spoke with the chef, they did internet research and found us an answer! Above and beyond! We had the saffron arancini for a starter along with their delicious bread service. Arancini is smaller portion size, but perfect for two people. My husband got the Asheville harvest salad while I tried their garden salad. Both were perfect sizes and fresh. My husband got the sea bass which he said was very flavorful. Good amount of vegetables came with it. I got the Wagyu filet. It. Was. Delicious. Excellent seasoning of the steak. Cooked perfectly. It comes with whipped potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms. It was so much food! This restaurant’s food, people and ambiance made for a wonderful experience. Each staff member we interacted with, the hostesses, servers, assistants, food runners, were phenomenal- friendly/ polite/ genuinely interested! Very much enjoyed our experience and look forward to returning on our next visit to the Grove Park!

My husband and I were seated promptly at a table with a beautiful mountain view. Our server, Kimberly made an excellent wine recommendation.We loved the quail appetizer, crispy on the outside while still juicy. The arancini was good but not my favorite. The sea bass was pan seared to perfection and served with a nice medley of root vegetables. We shared a. decadet souffle for dessert. The complimentary sparkling wine for my birthday was a nice touch.. Kimberly is an excellent server with tremendous experience but she is also fun! Tucker assisted her clearing plates on time and doing a nice job with bread/water service. Overall, an excellent experience!

Great service but the food was in no way worth the price. Our wonderful server, Dan, did a great job of hyping up the Wagyu filet ($98). In reality, it was a Snake River Farms cut that we could have prepared and grilled better at home — and we have. It was cooked well but tasted like any ole filet—not melt in your mouth wagyu. The sea bass was also fine but needed more to justify the price. There was a lovely Asian sauce (maybe a tablespoon) on the bok Choy that should have been all over the plate to improve taste and balance. The aranchini was essentially a fried mozzarella stick—additional herbs or cooking technique was needed. The Caesar salad had two comically small anchovies and the flavor profile was one note. The dessert was also lacking any real pizzazz. My husband very much enjoyed his Old Fashioned—it was excellent. We were disappointed to pay over $250 for a mediocre food experience at best. We love GPI and will continue to visit and stay, but will save our special meals for off-property restaurants.

We chose the filet and the elk tenderloin, and were not disappointed. The elk with cardamom soil was one of the most unique flavor combos I’ve ever tasted! Our waitress Sandy was fantastic, so helpful and such a joy! After dinner we took our dessert (you can walk with drinks and dessert anywhere on property and leave your dishes when you finish) grabbed a coffee, and looked out over the mountains at the view. We will definitely be visiting again.

We dined here since there are limited options at the resort and the Vue was the other restaurant than Edison (which we ate at the night before). The Vue was overpriced for what the food was. The food was good, but again not as good as other resturants we have been to at a better price point. Our waiter was also pushy towards the high ticket items, and didn't elaborate on the lower priced items. They also pushed the higher price dessert, which when ordered, was not worth the $25. We were also disappointed that the waiter added on the $5 icecreams with out asking. We walked away a little annoyed at spending so much on the featured dessert, which I didn't even finish, because it wasn't very good. We should have eaten at the Edison again, as the prices were more reasonable and we had a fantastic waiter that really described the menu items and understood our tastes, than to just push the expensive dishes. When I come back to Grove Park I'll not be eating at the Vue.

Vue 1913 was excellent, as always! We ordered many courses, as it was my birthday, and all were wonderful. Soup was piping hot, dishes had lots of flavor, color, and looked beautiful, and the drinks were lovely. Our server was sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. She coursed our meal so nothing arrived on top of each other and we were able to enjoy dinner. Her assistant was also very attentive and personable. The birthday dessert and candle at the end were lovely touches to the end of the meal. Thank you for a great evening!

On December 30, 2023, my son, his girlfriend and I had the pleasure of dining at Vue 1913 at The Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. To say that both the meal and service were outstanding is an understatement. My son had the Wagyu steak, I had risotto and his girlfriend had scallops. All three were delicious! My son is still talking about his steak. While the fix was great, the service was unparalleled. Kimberly, our server, is a true gem. She was friendly and personable, and her knowledge of the menu, the way dishes are prepared and the history of both the restaurant and the Inn were remarkable. I can say without hesitation that this meal was one of the best I’ve ever had, and Kimberly is without a doubt, the best server I’ve ever encountered. The restaurant is beautiful, and the ambiance adds to the overall experience. When you add the outstanding food and even more outstanding service, Vue 1913 and Kimberly serve up perfection to every guest!

Great Christmas lunch! Was able to snag a reservation here at the last minute as a non-hotel guest. The views are nice (it was raining/cloudy so less so for us but in better weather seems nice), the staff was great- attentive and helpful, and food was delicious! The only negative was that the shaved brussels caesar salad portion was quite small and was mostly parmesan cheese as opposed to salad. We had the sea bass, chicken with farro and butternut squash, and veggie risotto. All were delicious and perfect portions, our plates were completely clean. Very glad to have spent Christmas here!

This was Christmas Dinner for the two of us. Having lived in Asheville seven years, this was our best food/wine dining experience - and we done them all. The experience of "wait staff" is fading with the new economy and the economic realities of the restaurant industry. But Vue 1913 clearly exhibits why their complete experience makes for a treasured evening.

The food was very well prepared. At this price point your expectations are heightened as they should be. All in all the food was very good. Elk tenderloin at $78 was a small portion but cooked perfectly. The coffee rub was on the side which is important, and I would have been upset if it was rubbed into the tenderloin as it strong. The tenderloin was dying for a little salt but again cooked perfectly. Side of Mushrooms was extra but luckily provided a little acidity. Short Ribs best in class. Pork tenderloin and lobster pasta was all top of the line. Our server was very good however when we asked to wait until we sampled our appetizers (with a second round of cocktails) to place our order we apparently lost our place on the servers list. Big lull between getting appetizers and placing the main course.

Nice restaurant and you expect amazing everything when it is the nicest restaurant in the Grove Park Inn- we went there to celebrate both of my daughters birthdays and was nice until I found a long hair in my creamed potatoes ! Of course it was stomach turning - the waitress then took it to the kitchen to the chef and came out and said it must have been someone who passed by the table because everyone in the kitchen was bald - really ?! I knew it was well n the middle of the potatoes and no one had come by the table so don’t tell me that excuse ! So I will not recommend nor go there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Vue 1913. Everything from the cocktails to the entrees were delicious. Risotto was creamy, hot and full of veggies. The airline chicken was crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside. If I had one slight complaint, it would be the Brussel Cesar. It was the tiniest salad served in a small circle. Tasty, but oh so tiny. Our server was knowledgeable and super efficient. Be sure to make reservations.

Hard to get a reservation but well worth it. Our hosts Amy and her assistant Jermaine were exceptional. The view is terrific as is the ambiance. Fairly quiet for a rather large venue but the food was very well presented and prepared. Very nice wine list that isn’t really terribly expensive and is well thought out. Highly recommended even if not staying at the hotel. Note that at Xmas the Omni is beautiful albeit very busy. Arrive early enough to enjoy the decorations. Very well done.

We were dismayed to be stopped on our approach to the inn by either a hotel employee or a policeman. He wanted to know where we were going. We replied’ dinner’. He wanted to know if we had a reservation . Yes again. Then he demanded to see it. We showed it to him and he barely looked at it. We did inquire as to why we were being treated this way and he said the hotel had over 7000 people in attendance. We are in our 70’s. Well dressed and in a Lexus. Seems to me the hotel should control their crowds in a more polite and civil manner Shaking down your loyal guests is not sophisticated or appreciated. 7000 guests is not our proble.
