I have been to Walker Homestead many times and they never cease to amaze me. The owners are always working in their free time and stop to mingle with guests, share details of the farm and winery, or mention one of their many hosted events (often fundraisers). I recently also had my wedding at WH. They provided a wonderful document that outlined almost every aspect of a wedding, which was so helpful as I planned ours on our own! Included with the venue is the availability for setup and rehearsal the night before, setup and tear down, free wine and food tasting, and regular communication regarding any questions or comments one may have. I will be the first to admit, I was very particular with every detail and EVERY staff member at WH went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. From hiding furniture to fixing my veil before walking down the aisle, the day would not have been as dreamy as it was without the wonderful staff at WH. The venue is naturally so beautiful, there is so much to see and do on the property, and the food and wine is amazing too! Highly highly recommend!

I drove from the Quad Cities to Walker Homestead Farm and Winery and had the most beautiful evening. The food was amazing, the staff was very attentive and the sun setting over the hills was a stunning bonus. I highly recommend and I will definitely be making the trip back.

We had our wedding here in August 2024, and choosing Walker Homestead was the BEST decision we made. Kristy, Bob, and their staff have a true passion for what they do, and it shows in the care and thoughtfulness in every detail. Not only did everyone (us included!) rave about how beautiful the venue was and that the food and drinks were to die for, our guests also shared with us several instances where your staff went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable. - The bartenders would make a special drink and then remember the guest’s name so they could order it every time they went to the bar. My uncle LOVED that he or his family could go to the bar and order “the Bill” and the bartenders would be able to make it for them. This is so incredibly thoughtful, and way above and beyond. - My family member with celiac disease felt so cared for when dessert and pizza were put out, and the staff made him a special gluten free pizza he could enjoy. When they weren’t certain that the dairy free option was also gluten free, they also went and got him some sorbet to enjoy. He said he has never felt so cared for at another person’s event. - Diana (the event manager) happily made a plate of food and brought it upstairs for our babysitter to enjoy so she could eat and didn't have to leave our sleeping kiddos. - Several members of staff purposefully sought my wife and I out throughout the evening to make sure we were fed and hydrated. Overall, I would highly, highly recommend this venue to anyone looking - either for an event, or even just a night out. It is so clear from the care and thought in every detail that this is a dream come true and an incredible place to work. We are so thrilled we got to be part of it for one very special weekend, and we look forward to seeing what they get up to next!

If you’re looking for a venue that is beautiful, organized, has delicious food, and built in entertainment (hello adorable animals and yard games) - this is the place. We had our wedding here and WOW what an incredible experience. Forever grateful for Kristy, Bob, Diana, Hannah, and the rest of the staff at Walker. The kindest of people! I appreciated all of their help throughout the process and additional things they offered that I didn’t need to go out at rent (tables, ceremony chairs, vintage plates, dessert tables, ceremony arch, bud vases, etc.). Still getting compliments on how good the food was and how beautiful the property is. Cant wait to come back to celebrate anniversaries!

What a gem !!! The service is excellent!! Great place to enjoy delicious wine and food. The restaurant is very clean and you also have a beautiful view of the winery. They have a small farm area, well i will not tell you more so you can go and check it out yourself. 😎 Have fun !!!

Lovely staff, wonderful home grown food. A truly classy escape just a few minutes outside Iowa City.

My wife and I recently had our wedding here and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The Walker Team is wonderful to plan and execute with, especially their coordinator Kayla. Owners Kristy and Bob Walker are also a delight to work with throughout the entire process. The venue is beautiful and conveniently located about fifteen minutes from downtown Iowa City. The land that the venue is on is picturesque and their vineyard looks beautiful in the late summer / fall. One of our wedding guests attended a wedding in Tuscany earlier this year and made the comment that this Iowa Farm looks more like a Tuscan vineyard. It’s a special place in the Midwest. The catering supplies (plates/table settings/servers etc) that the venue had on sight were unique and fit our wedding’s aesthetic perfectly. The natural beauty of the venue and set up provided made planning our wedding incredibly easy and smooth. Minimal decision making required. The day itself was hiccup free from a venue perspective and our guests were all pleased with everything the space had to offer, from the food to the drinks, to the animals and dance floor. Beautiful. Delicious woodfired pizza, best I've had in town.

We attended a wedding here and it was lovely. They venue was great, and the kids went to feed the farm animals and play some games in the yard while the wedding party took pictures. The staff prepared the dinner, which was some of the best pizza I've had. The only downside was that the wine was not very good at all. The special drinks and beer were first class.

Had an amazing time doing the Garden Bites Tour last week. It was great to learn about their organic gardening practice, sample all the wines, and have a 4 course vegetarian tasting menu. It was well worth the price!

Went for the first time as this place is very very near our property. It is very nice looking from our farm field and likewise looking at our farm from their view. I was very disappointed that the servers did not provide any information about the place or what they serve or about their wines. I was expecting that we could hear about the place and if they make their own wine or what it would pair with. Definitely busy and prices are reasonable. To me I guess I was expecting to have a story and how what they sell ties into the business but it must just sell itself by looks and no one cares about anything else.

Absolutely LOVED having our wedding at Walker. It was absolutely beautiful. Bob and Kristy were very helpful along the way.

We drove here for dinner reservations on a Thursday night in November and had an amazing time. At the time of our visit, I believe they’re only opening to the public on Thursday nights for general dinner reservations. They change the menu each week, and it’s so fun and different. Their wood fired pizzas are creative and unique. The food during our visit was phenomenal. As an appetizer, we ordered a hummus dish with pickled vegetables. Then, we enjoyed two pizzas: a pepperoni with spicy honey, and a mushroom with truffle oil, lemon, and chives. We also ordered dessert, which featured chocolate, raspberry, and cinnamon. Every single thing was so delicious. We had wine with dinner and love the Walker White and Walker Red. Everyone was so friendly, and we will definitely be returning! I highly recommend.

We had an excellent rehearsal dinner with pulled pork, sirloin, mash potatoes, mac and cheese, green beans and root vegetables. Everything and everyone was perfect. What an enjoyable evening.

I would highly recommend Walker Homestead as a wedding venue. The venue in itself is absolutely stunning and the perfect canvas for a wedding. The entire team executed our day above and beyond our expectations. Chris, Walker's chef, blew our guests away with his delicious and creative wedding cuisine. The food is phenomenal, cute animals in the barn, people can enjoy their food next to the vineyard. There are also indoor seatings

The reason for 4 stars is just to be aware that the venue is not air conditioned. Otherwise fantastic! The bathrooms were lovely and plenty of sinks. Outdoor area has gorgeous view!

Such a special place. Amazing food, super kid friendly, open space to walk around with beautiful grape vines and sunflowers right now, and sweet animals for the kids to feed! The perfect Sunday brunch/lunch/ early dinner.

I love WH! The views, the wine, the pizza, the people! I could go on and on. It’s such an experience! Their white wines are some of my favorites and I’m not usually a white wine person! Their pizza changes seasonally and are amazing!

First off, the views. They are incredible. Somehow Walker Homestead makes it possible to feel like you’re having wine overlooking a Tuscany sunset. This place is gorgeous! It is apparent that a lot of love goes into the design and upkeep of the homestead. Secondly, the foods and wine!! The homemade pizzas with locally harvest ingredients are incredible. I’d highly recommend the pepperoni honey pizza. Incredible. Paired with wine, my favorite is Sweet Pea, it can’t be beat! Finally, the service is fantastic. The people are wonderful and help make this place somewhere you want to come back and frequent. Everyone is so welcoming and kind. It’s safe to say I highly recommend going to Walker Homestead!

Absolute obsessed with this cute place! The service was phenomenal. The owners walked around and made sure we were fully taken care of the whole time. We came on a rainy colder day & were greeted with warm blankets straight out the dryer to our outside table & heaters outside as well. The pizza and wine was all so delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

Great service, amazing venue, and quintessential Iowa feel with upscale dining, various farm activities (animal petting/feeding, bonfire) for the kids, and plenty of adult beverages. A great weekend activity, weather permitting.
