Love everything about this place

We did not eat here, we love coming here for the cute little attached store. Quaint lil spot near our family's summer cottage. The owners and employees are super friendly! Always find unique finds here, like zots candies...what a blast from my childhood! Yum! 😊😊😊😊

Great local family owned business, super kind people, great food best burger and chicken sandwich around, everything is always fresh and delicious.

We had sausage and gravy, chicken nuggets and coffee. Sausage and gravy was very good. Chicken nuggets were fried perfectly and the coffee was decent. I would recommend this place. It’s big enough to accommodate a group and the ac was strong.

Best place I have found to order lunch for the crew. Portion sizes and condiments are generous. Everything is very good. They do get very busy so expect what comes with that every now and again.

I loved the atmosphere here. Very country-casual and welcoming. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table. When done, you bus you own table too. The system is well organized and easy. I ordered the cobb salad, which had plenty of yummy ingredients, and was served in a big bowl. My friend ordered a sandwich (turkey, bacon, etc.), and it was large, served with kettle chips. She enjoyed it and took half home because it was so big. I'll be back with husband and will recommend to friends too.

Edit to add: my issues were not with the price as much as with the lack of information on the menu. I should know before hand if my $12 dish is turning into a $27 dish prior to me ordering it so I can decide if that's what I want to order. The service was amazing but when it came time to pay I was dumbfounded. It was $45 for a chicken sandwich and an omelet with a side of pancakes. We added bacon and sausage gravy with the omelet and with the pancakes the cost for those additions was 14.50 alone. The menu didn't state the upcharge costs otherwise we would have never spent $45 for a basic meal.

We love that they have games that can be played while waiting for food. Foos ball table, ping pong table, I was able to eat my own food and with 5 kiddos that was a treat in itself! The menu is yummy!

Owners are incredible people. Food is incredible. Home made bread, sauces, and so much more. Staying in nearby hotel so ordered the Cuban "deconstructed". Was my epic dinner that night back in the room and was so big had other half for breakfast the next morning. Owner recommended glazed burbon sauce. Tempted to sip with a straw. Highlight of my trip.

The vegan options are awesome! They had the best vegan breakfast egg sandwich! They have cool natural products or products from local artists. They have about 1 shelf full of vegan grocery items. A ton of vegan menu items! The egg sandwich was so delicious. We will always stop here anytime we visit paw paw!!! The owners are staff are super sweet and friendly too!!!

Highly recommend! The food is the best around. Everything is made fresh and is piping hot no matter how long it takes to get home. The staff is always nice and welcoming making sure you're completely satisfied before you leave. The store is loaded with essential needs plus some cool extras. And you can still rent movies here! I love Walt Maurice! I've been going there for a long time and I know the family And they are all very nice people! They have an amazing bakery with amazing food and just the kindness and and best people you want all around!

I ordered a nice variety of wraps, salad, veggies & fruit plus pita chips and hummus for my daughter’s baby shower and everyone agreed that it was amazing. My favorite was the coconut cashew hummus and homemade croutons but each guest mentioned their own favorites too. Plus Audrey and everyone there that I talked to were so nice. Definitely recommend!

Food was AMAZING! My son got a breakfast sandwich that he loved, and my husband and I got southern omelets. We do breakfast ALOT, and it was the best omelet I've ever had. Can't wait to order again soon!!

This place has the dumbest hrs.... don't expect food cause the kitchen is only open from 11-3pm lol

Very clean and organized store. Had just about everything you could need . They are only doing take-out right now but the food was delicious. We had a burger (amazing) and club sandwich. Don't just drive by... stop in and give it a try!

Website said open til 7pm. Drove 20 miles to go there only to find out it was closed at 130 in the afternoon

Hands down the best food in the area. I’ve had multiple soups, sandwiches, and the breakfast burger so far, and been blown away by all of them. All of us at Trueleaf could easily eat here every day for lunch. Thank you guys!!

On our first trip to the area, we stopped in for lunch and were so impressed with both the food and the store. We were pleasantly surprised to see such a wide variety of essentials and unique items in the shop, including many local, natural, handmade and vegetarian. Our lunch was fantastic! The Cuban and club sandwiches were tasty and generous, and our daughters loved their vegan burgers with homemade mustard. The scratch fries and chips with homemade onion dip were a hit too. Can’t wait to try more of their delicious food!

This place is a cut above. I just wish the restaurant had better hours. Best food around, hands down. Tons of unique items in the store, extremely friendly and welcoming.

Stopped here randomly while on a road trip. We just wanted someplace close to the highway that wasn't fast-food. Our expectations were not high, but we were all blown away. We ordered the turkey club with fries and BBQ chicken sandwich with crispy potatoes and everything was delicious. Fresh, made to order, and you get a ton of food. The shop is also very nice with high quality goods. Cannot recommend this place enough! Worth a visit.

Such a great small-town cafe with a wide variety of items to choose from. Just had the chipotle chicken soup and it was great!

Stopped for a bite to eat and gifts. Deluxe burger and hand cut fries were delicious! Jams, salsas, handwoven baskets and hand made heat/ice packs for gifts, to name a few. Good service. Ate out on the patio with our pup. No public bathrooms.

Great little store that’s convenient for residents of the area. Their kitchen has awesome food. Prices can be slightly higher than other bigger stores but that’s understandable. The staff is always friendly and I look forward to every visit that I make!

Stopped in mid-pandemic thinking we would grab some drinks from the store and ended up with the Reuben and breakfast burger to-go. Such a good decision as the food and service were Out. Of. Bounds!!! The clerk not only explained their (very homemade) food but also brought it out to our car after keeping the drinks in their coolers for us. How thoughtful!!! Service couldn't have been better; the food could not have been tastier..get the chips and dip!!... Thanks much, the young couple in the VW

This place is amazing. It's a little bit off the highway and I stop here everytime I visit family. The food is GREAT. The pizza rivals any good Chicago thin-crust pizza and the portions are huge and filling. The store, while limited in space offers a pretty good selection of snacks, beverages, local foods, and keepsakes. I'll be returning for years to come.

Bethany the waitress was very helpful, and the gluten free pizza is large and really out of this world! The atmosphere is pleasant, unusually clean, and totally family dining! Great spot in the country, very little traffic and easy to find. Just 5 minutes off i94. We love it!

We love coming here, perfect for family meals, Wonderful people and service. **Would be nice if you opened for breakfast before 10am, most people are wanting to get on with their day by the time you open. We have attempted several times to get breakfast but open too late in the morning. 😑

The hidden gem of the Kalamazoo area. It's not only convenient, 5 minutes off the highway, the food and portion size is unrivaled. The people are hometown kindhearted folks that just want you to enjoy yourself. Highly recommend the "Cuban Sandwich." Amazing people. Amazing value.

I rated it 5 stars because I couldn't rate it 100, the Reuben I had was amazing and they give you a side, I had the fried mushrooms with dipping sauce, they were tasty and large, and they were hand fried, my mom had half a apple butter BBQ sandwich, when you ordered half a sandwich they give you half the meat on a whole bun, the bun was homemade, light, and fluffy and the pork was very tasty.
