We had a wonderful time dining at Wandby landing. The cocktails we had were all excellent ( the cosa nostra was my favorite) and well prepared as was the wine we had Crab toast was excellent The fresh made ravioli in a light wine and garlic sauce with fresh corn and ricotta was fantastic But the standout was the Chicken Milanese which may be the best Milanese I have ever had. Substantial and piled with a light arugula salad, I'd consider air fare just to come back and eat this again along with a great crisp white wine 😅 Dining reservatiom was effortless. The bar is open seating, fairly well sized, and it's worth a trip just for drinks if you are so inclined. Beautiful property Every bit the experience I had at Earth at hidden pond and to not take away from that at all, my wallet was much happier ( dinner for two with 2 rounds of cocktails and a glass of wine was right around $200 total) A must visit when you want a great experince

The best meal of our kennebunk visit, and one of the best meals we’ve had in a long while! We loved the fresh maine tuna carpaccio, fresh summer salad, crab pasta and my husband got the pork-chop. All were outstanding. Only complaint was entrees came out fast shortly after our apps, but we devoured everything anyway! Oh, and the blueberry galette!!

A great addition to the Kennebunks dining scene. The owners have put their years of experience into this terrific restaurant. It’s our go to spot.

We held a baby shower at Wandby Landing on June 30th. The food, the decor and the service were top notch. Our guests raved about the food, both the quality and the varied selection and presentation. People particularly loved the pizzas, the beet salad , the Wandby eggs Benedict and the roasted carrots. When one guest inquired about Vegan options, the chef whipped up an additional dish for her. The owners and staff were attentive, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Wandby Landing for a lovely evening out or for any special celebratory occasion.

A slow start with service but worth the patience as the food was amazing! The view of the river from our table was relaxing. Fresh flowers out of the garden were used in our gnocchi meal. The Bolognese was perfect and is equal to local Via Sophia. Very helpful staff assisted choosing our wine. You must eat here!

We ate at many of the nicest restaurants in town, and this was our favorite. Beautiful dinning room and bar, with amazing garden area for a stroll before or after dinner. Food is exceptional, staff is very professional and accommodating. They took us for a last minute reservation on our second visit. Highly recommend.

Not what I would call an Italian Restaurant . Very limited menu and extremely loud as we had to move our table to upstairs room because of diners using outside voices rather than inside voices. The diners loud conversations was rude to other dinners trying to enjoy their pricy dinners. We had a reservation at 5:30 pm. We canceled at 12 pm because my 2 year old broke out in a rash and we didn’t think being in public was a good idea for us or for the business establishment. Without warning they charged us $20 per person for canceling - including the 2 year old! We called and were told a manager would call back. No call. We called again and same thing. Haven’t heard back. We live in the area and we’re excited to try it and have it on our roster for years to come. Oh well.

Went during our trip to Kennebunk last week and liked it so much we went back a few days later! Great food (apps, pasta, pizza, dessert) and cocktails. Service was amazing and loved the ambience - great music too! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We recently held a bridal shower at Wandby Landing, and it was an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, welcoming, and greeted our guests with an unexpected delicious beverage. The event space was set up flawlessly with every detail thoughtfully arranged. The menu provided a variety of delicious dishes and was presented beautifully. The service was impeccable. The staff anticipated our every need and ensured that the event ran smoothly from start to finish. They were accommodating and went above and beyond. Overall, Wandby Landing exceeded all of our expectations and provided a memorable and joyous occasion. I highly recommend this restaurant for any special event. It was a perfect choice and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out!

We were in to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Our server Mitchell absolutely made our night. My wife and I are both in hospitality, so not super critical but happy to give praise when it's due. Service was what won us here. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive and caring. We will absolutely be back. The food speaks for itself as the menu is inventive, fresh and seasonal.

Pizza was excellent, loved the sourdough crust. Make sure to order the Brussels as a starter as well. Service was top notch. This is a must go to spot in Kennebunkport.

Wow, Mitchell was amazing.. He needs a raise to management or something. I’ve never had such attendant service experience before other than Rare In Boston. He was right on the ball with all of his tables without looking rushed. He was very knowledgeable with the menu whether it be the cocktails or food. He cleaned the table between starters and entrees to get any crumbs out of the way. That was exceptional service and really “wowed” us all. When i ordered an expresso martini he made sure to ask if i would like it dark or light, this in which i really appreciated because i only like my expresso martinis dark. I can’t say enough about Mitchell because he was fabulous. To start, all of the appetizers were amazing although the chopped salad could use some more color in the greens. The steak I ordered I asked for medium and it came out well done, as well as another guest at my table ordered. The Cacio E Pepe was very bland, it could use some red pepper and thyme. Deserts were fabulous.

Wow. We came about 6 months after Wandby Landing opened and the food and service was very good but can say a little over a year later, bam, they have upped their game with new menu items, the flavors on all of the dishes we tried were truly fantastic! This is an A+ in our book for southern/central coast Maine The wine selection was also pretty good, we got a nice bottle from one of our favorites in Williamette Valley and the mark-up was reasonable for the quality of the product. Overall, if you are anywhere need Kennebunk, you NEED to make this a stop!!

So place yourself at a large bar, the crowd enjoying their time. Bartender pours us a perfect house Bourbon manhattan, along with a local IPA.The menu speaks wealth of taste and pairing. We chose these two; The Sunday Salad (the best salad you will taste absolutely) and Salsiccia Pizza. The other menu items are for all and the pizza just rocks. The atmosphere was fantastic and the guests mingle and discuss great food. See you next season!

Absolutely love the Wandby. Consistent and exceptional food and service every time we visit. Whether it’s food or cocktails the flavors are deep and complimentary. You can taste the thoughtfulness and love in every bite.

My family moved away from Kennebunk and only comes back for the summer. Ruth still remembers us and treats us like regulars. She gives Wanby its local feel.

We went for the 1st time at Prelude and we are locals to the area.Took my elderly mother so the immediate walk up 12 stairs was a challenge. Service quite attentive so our hopes were high. The menu options relatively limited but seemed to have potential although a bit pricey. Hummus appetizer tasty. 2 out of 3 entrees good but quite small and no sides, bread etc., 3rd entree (mushroom risotto) very strong mushroom flavor with hardly any actual mushrooms. For the 3 of us with 1 drink a piece and tip over $230, which we could accept if all had been outstanding. The addition of the 3% “kitchen love” was not appreciated and not communicated up front, just added to the bill. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

This was our first visit to the Wandby and our expectations were high based upon previous reviews and the prices for Italian food. We've been to several parts of Italy, as well as Italian restaurants in CT, and the Wandby was a dissapointment. First impression when we walked in - we see a large bar and the decor is minimalist/comtemporary, not a typical, warm Italian restaurant, the place was only half full on a Saturday. We ordered the meatball and garlic knot appetizers and found the meatballs to be good, but the bread that came with them was just plain burnt. The knots were tasteless and we hoped the entrees would be better. The 4 of us ordered 3 different dishes, the ravioli, chicken and the mafaldini (lamb ragu). The ravioli were stuffed with a strange tasting meat and a bland sauce, the mafaldini was way too salty, however the chicken was good. We were celebrating our 48th anniversary and had high hopes for the old "On The Marsh" location, but sadly we won't be back. Hopefully the new owners find their way.

Absolutely amazing service! Drink menu is fun and delicious! Food has been fantastic every time we have been there. Everyone from the servers to management are engaged and there for the customer. Fantastic Maine experience!

Always a warm welcome when you arrive at Wandby Landing. They have the most amazing food, drinks and service. We started with a signature cocktails and for food we tried the Bang Island Mussels, Rigatoni and my absolute favorite was the Pork Coppa. From start to finish it was an amazing dining experience.

Full disclosure: My son Liam works here. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to see what all the fuss is about……and that opportunity arrived on June 1st. Interior design and vibe? Warm, expansive, welcoming. Staff? Engaging, knowledgeable and attentive. The owners, Mariah and Matt? Gracious and charming. The food? Hot damn! Oysters and wings for starters that were delicious (and paired really well). Pasta and pizza for our entrees - happily devoured - sublime. Cocktails? Delicious and memorable. Banana bread for dessert - decadent! Wandby Landing is quickly becoming THE restaurant in the Kennebunks. Well done gang and thank you!👏👏👏

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food and cocktails are outrageously good. Staff are incredibly kind and the owners really know what they are doing. I grew up in the area and of all the restaurants in Kennebunkport, this one is my favorite. A must try!!!

We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the Wandby last weekend. It was absolutely amazing. Our guests were beyond impressed with the food and the service. Many guests came up to me throughout the night just amazed at how nice and welcoming the host/bar tenders/etc. were! This was THE best way to start off our wedding weekend. We are so grateful for the Wandby and the memories it created for us!

Everything was great! We really enjoyed Wandby Landing. Especially loved the cappeletti. The corn incorporated into the pasta dish was unexpected and delicious. The “grilled spanish octopus” was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!

The Octopus Appetizer,meatballs and Margherita were very good but all a little pricey. Chicken Milanese entree and rigatoni entree very good. House Roth Cabernet at $17 per glass not so good 🥴. The also charge a Kitchen love fee of 3% with out letting you know 🤷‍♂️

Awful experience… Walked in and was greeted by a less than cheerful hostess. We were early too less than half full dining room, so we were directed to the bar. Where we were greeted by a 2 day inexperienced bar tender. Charged $38.00 for a cosamigos on the rocks with a lime….. The second bartender was not friendly at all. Barking an abrupt ‘NO’ to requests for different drinks…. Needless to say we paid our tab and did not stay for dinner. Beware, unfriendly and full of attitude. Also a 3% tip charge for the kitchen…. Bad form.

It's my favorite place to go for special occasions and when friends and family are visiting. The food is consistently delicious. The new seasonal ingredients that are added to the menu is always a welcomed addition. They have a great selection of Bourbon for me, and great wine and cocktails for everyone else. Always a wonderful dining experience.

Wandby Landing was the best choice for a special birthday dinner! The food was so delicious, elevated comfort, we had a beautiful table with garden & wine collection views, cocktails & wines were simply perfect. Stop it with the limoncello are you kidding me?! Just over the moon with our experience, thank you to entire staff front & back! Beautiful atmosphere, great music, hard to beat Wandby for Italian in the Kennebunks! Will a million % go back to enjoy for years to come!

Nice atmosphere, wonderful location, very friendly staff, and an interesting drink menu. We were a group of 6, so we got to try many things. Pizza is excellent. Pasta dishes great but Carbonara is supposed to have lots of black pepper and this didn't have any pepper I could taste or see. It was tasty, just not the way the dish is normally made. The chicken entre was excellent. Two areas for improvement: First, timing on appetizer delivery was weak. The first two came out reasonably close together but the last one was so late that we wondered if they forgot it. They also brought out far too little bread with one of them. C'mon, bread is cheap! Second, we were advised that the fried oyster appetizer recipe had changed to panko crusted. Not having been there before, we shrugged our shoulders and ordered them anyway. They were not good. Far too much panko crust and you hardly could taste any oysters. Next time make sure you fully test any recipe changes. Maybe you were doing that and we were the test? Chefs should know what they are putting out and be able to adjust FAST. Other than the one bad appetizer the experience was positive. Would I go back? Maybe, but eating out is EXPENSIVE and there are lots of other options.

Enjoyed a decent meal at a new elegant Italian restaurant heading into Kennebunkport. We are lucky to have so many new options in this area. The gardens and landscape were vast and very impressive. They had outdoor seating, Adirondacks and a fire pit. The parking lot was a tad dark and the entrance was attractive but not well marked. We weren’t sure if it was the back door. Upon entry there was a podium (thank goodness) and a view into a very attractive bar area on the first floor. Stunning decor. We were seated upstairs. Our server was excellent, helpful throughout. That’s important as they offer unique products and ingredients not seen often. We enjoyed a couple of craft cocktails and their unique and tasty chilled bread and accoutrements. Different and good. We selected two appetizers - Mussels: fantastic flavor/best in the area from what we’ve had all summer. Fried Squid: similar to a spicy Rhode Island version, robust sauce but hidden a little as it was below the squid. Very light and tasty. We were conflicted on our two pasta entree selections. We selected Trenne as one and Eggyolk Taglilitelli now with shrimp as the other. The handmade pasta was excellent. Compliments to whoever made that. Light, melted in our mouths and accepted the sauces nicely. We didn’t fully enjoy each sauce thoroughly. You could tell that there was a lot of thought and technique, but neither of us were loving them, like “I craving more of this”. Good, not great. If they do nail down some great sauces w that pasta, they will have people lining up. We ended with cappuccinos and tiramisu - both awesome. Beautiful restaurant worth trying. Make note they do allow for reservations thru Resy and don’t expect your traditional American-ized menu. They are doing their own creative thing, which we appreciated. Great place. (Subsequent visit) Again, really good service. My bartender was a pro - on point. Had a beer and fried oysters. Possibly the oddest preparation I’ve seen. Instead of flour or cornmeal, they fried them with rice. Very unpleasant, dense and a hard crunch. I came for the pizza, so I was hoping for better. Priced high, but the pizza was very very good. Chewy with nice char on the bottom. No distinct crust, but good flavor - consistent texture throughout. Added Parmesan gave a salty taste. When they stay the course with dishes I find that these guys do really well, but when they get too creative I’ve found they miss the mark. I will suggest that people I know try this place and let me know what they think.

The braised octopus was super tender and not something I would typically order, but our waitress said it was a favorite on the menu. The carbonara was also so good! We were recommended by a local to check this place out by the marsh. It wasn’t right downtown so we would have definitely missed out if it wasn’t for him!

The good: great atmosphere, wonderful location, very friendly hosts, and a cool drink menu. The not so good: we arrived at our table and were greeted by our server. We placed our drink order and attempted to place an appetizer order while we looked over the (very limited) menu. The server advised we had to place our dinner order with our appetizer order and said it was per the kitchen. We eventually followed her directions and watched as our appetizer went to the wrong table and our food order arrived ahead of our appetizer since it had gone to a different table. The food was very good but we certainly felt that our order had been just kept warm in the back while they fixed the appetizer issue. The menu is limited, very few options but they do seem to fit the tastes of most. There is a “kitchen love” gratuity automatically added to each order, and I would have chosen to not pay that since our issue was with the kitchen. I’m glad we tried this place out, it was on our list of places to try, but not a place we would go running back to again.

Lovely dinner at the bar. Staff is professional, friendly and attentive, cocktails excellent , pizza and salad very, very good. I had the oysters as an appetizer—they arrived luke warm with too much breading for my taste (but the tartar sauce was the best I’ve ever had). Overall a very enjoyable meal.

Always a wonderful time! This restaurant is truly what was needed here. The menu is thoughtful and the food is delicious. The pasta dishes are authentic and some of the best I’ve had. The meat and fish entrees are so flavorful. The bartenders and staff are very welcoming. My husband and I are regulars here, either for dinner or just cocktails and pizza at the bar and are never disappointed. And do not leave without ordering the bomboloni!

New Years Eve. Supper was very expensive. It was good but not for what we paid. Same drink, two different prices. Snuck gratuity called Kitchen Love at 3% on the tab. I won’t be returning.

Perfect romantic setting for a date night! great food and a fun, classy atmosphere. We got the feeling the regulars were top priority and felt a little left out. I will be back to give it another try in the summer to see the beautiful gardens and have a cocktail.

This is everything you want in a dining experience - one of those classic Maine restaurants that just makes you feel at home as you enjoy some of the best food around. Top tier food, friendly staff, in a classy but unpretentious setting. Cozy, classy, and extremely tasteful - this place is great for any occasion; date-night, impressing out-of-towners, celebrations, even weddings. Beautiful restaurant, bar, and grounds. The server was knowledgeable and very professional. The food was just ok, the duck was way too salty. The swordfish was just ok. The tiramisu was fantastic! Will try it again and make different choices. I wish the menu wasn’t so limited.

High and low points. Excellent entrees, but underwhelming or just disappointing appetizers and sides. Overtly under-poured glasses of wine that were no where near a standard 6 oz glass. And unfortunately the server couldn’t answer questions about the menu. We were excited to try this new addition to the area but probably won’t be back after this evening.

Thompson-Lawler wedding. Absolutely exceptional facilities, food, and service. One of the best wedding venues we’ve ever been to and we’ve been to a lot over the last 30 years while playing in a band. Having just hosted a wedding at our home this Summer, we know what’s involved in doing it right. Wamby Landing is extraordinary.

It's my understanding they opened in July, but the food and the staff were top notch. A really good menu with appealing appetizers and entrees, although we didn't get a chance to eat the homemade pasta. Spent some time talking to one of the owners and walking around the building and grounds, and it was just a great experience all around. Really comfortable seats outside around the fire pits was a great plus. Will definitely come back here during our trip to the Prelude Festival in December.

Very good food and service at the bar. Would be even better if the music were a touch louder and/or if there was a piano.

I attended a rehearsal dinner + cocktail hour here last week, and it was absolutely lovely. Dominic's team organized everything really well - it all flowed smoothly and left ample time for the social aspects of the dinner. The cocktails were good and the passed apps great - particularly the swordfish. Rachel was an attentive, professional, excellent server who managed our party of 18 flawlessly. They even packaged up leftovers from the family style dinner so different groups could each take some. If you need a venue for a small get together, I absolutely recommend.

Great drinks. Amazing food. Top notched staff. Really high quality ingredients that are not overly seasoned to make then taste good. Independently owned! With the loss of the Wayfarer, The Captains and, maybe, Pier 77 and The Ramp (although they had not been in the mix for years anyway), and so many others under the umbrella of a NY group , Wanby Landing is the best thing to happen to our local dining scene in years! A great and needed addition!

The newly-renovated space really honors the beautiful marsh views, too. And finally, the lemon curd pan a cotta was sublime… light on sugar and full on taste. Heavenly! A must GO!!

Wandby Landing is carrying on the tradition of the Kennebunk residents who warmly welcomed the stranded British mariners after its namesake. The food is incredible, so fresh and clean. The salad was beautiful with shaved golden beets, fennel, carrots and squash peeking through the artisanal greens. The chicken and cod were spectacular, and the blueberry panna cotta with lemon poppyseed cake and salted crumble was the perfect ending to our meal. Coffee was rich and robust. We loved everything about our night, including being cared for by one of the owners as the night was a busy one. We will be regulars at this gem. Welcome Wandby Landing!

Great food & atmosphere! What really sealed the deal was our server running to get me a hair elastic when mine snapped mid-dinner. What could’ve been a disaster became a 5 star experience!!

We decided to make it a date night and head to the Kennebunkport area for the evening. We booked a spot at the newly opened Wandby Landing. They opened as early as 4pm, so since it was a Sunday, we had an early dinner res starting at 5pm. Ample parking on the property, beautifully manicured gardens on the property, and the interiors I would define as modern rustic - clearly all recently renovated. We were promptly sat, and as I got to look around, noticed a HUGE, well-appointed bar space - which looked perfect for a hot summer day to have a cocktail and some small plates or something. Our server was just the right balance of playful and informed, and helped us navigate her favorites, etc. We landed on the lamb skewers (perfectly done and nice balanced flavors) and the salad (a nice mix of acid and sweetness). We decided to do a half portion of one of the pasta dishes as a second course, with the rigatoni (just a tad bit of heat from the red chili flake). Our mains were the chicken (butterfly filleted, crispy and great herb flavors) and the swordfish with capers, tomatoes. We also opted for a shared dessert of Panna cotta. Overall, this is a perfect coastal dining experience that gives you a hint of big city fine dining but in an approachable coastal feel/environment. Great drinks, friendly service, and locally owned. Highly recommend if in the area.

This place is seriously the best in Kennebunkport. Homemade pastas are incredible. Service is wonderful. Great vibe. Pro tip- there is an off the menu burger available- but you have to sit in the bar room to order it. Burger is amazing though! Overall a great experience and delicious food at reasonable prices for the high quality!

This was by far the best restaurant we’ve gone to in the Kennebunks! I had the swordfish and my husband had the pork and both were delicious.

Drinks were good, service was slow… extra table setting was never removed. Menu needs a bit of work on both design and descriptors. Starters were amazing but mains were simple and underwhelming for the price. Dessert was also underwhelming. Tiramisu was soupy. Has potential but needs to work out the kinks!

First of all, the property and overall atmosphere is breathtaking. The outdoor gardens and interior design is so well done in the heart of lower village Kennebunk. You honesty feel like your in a private oasis of southern Maine. Our dinner tonight was so delicious! I ordered the vegetarian pasta dish and I can’t even describe how good it was. We split a bunch of sides and there was so much attention to detail. Our server, Joe was friendly and always made sure to check how everything was going through out the dining experience. I will be coming back with family and friends! Thanks, Wandby!

Everything was delicious. The Lamb Skewers and the homemade Radiatore… do not skip either of these - they are amazing!! Beautifully designed space in a great building. Amazing new restaurant in Kennebunk! Very friendly front of the house.

Delightful dinner....two pasta dishes were beyond belief, with true imaginative and unique Italian flair. By the glass wine offerings good variety and good choices from which to choose. Kudos to Kennebunk's newest creative chef, owners and friendly responsive service staff. Took too long for our food. Ran out of bread. Also you would think that if you bought a steak for 35 dollars you would think it would come with sides. Total rip off

This was our first time to this new restaurant and all I can say is first class all the way! The food, service and drinks were all absolutely amazing and we are all looking forward to our next dinner at the Wandby Landing, Highly recommend!

This new and beautiful restaurant is second to none here in Kennebunk, Maine. The food is so delicious and everyone in our group of eight were blown away. This is a must for anyone visiting the area and even worth a special trip if you’re coming from neighboring towns.
