Stood in line for 15 mins. The line didn't move. I was 5 people back from the front of the line. I was next to where they made the Tacos. They were cranking them out, and the line never moved. There is a bottleneck somewhere in this line. Idk where it is. I refused to wait another 30 mins to find out. I have no idea if the food is good, I have no idea if the service is good. I just know that it will take you forever to find out.

Always a great time at MEX taco house! Food is so authentic and has such great flavor! Staff is quick to service you and friendly from start to finish! Would recommend for breakfast or lunch both are 100%! 10/10 recommend!

This place is unbeatable. The barbacoa tacos are packed with flavor, and the chorizo,beans, and potato tacos are equally impressive. Don't miss out on the egg, bacon, and potato tacos—they're fantastic. They take the extra step of draining the grease, which makes the tacos even better. Beyond tacos, the menudo is tasty, and the breakfast plates are excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is clean, with well-maintained bathrooms. Not gonna lie. I initially only came here because there was an Impala SS in the pictures, but I'm damn glad I came! Line went quickly, friendly staff, authentic Mexican food, and the limonada was ANAZING! Best tacos I've had in Houston.

These are some of the best tacos anywhere in Cypress and the Houston area. The line of people is always a great indication of great food. If you go during the week, the line is not so bad, but on weekends, please pack your patience. They have great breakfast and lunch plates if you have time to sit down and enjoy your meal.

First time here and I was not disappointed! I got a Mex burrito and it’s delicious! It’s definitely big enough for 2 meals for myself! Can’t wait to try their breakfast!

As a native born Texan, truly one of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Huge, stuff with fillings, and incredible in house tortillas. They just need a spicier sauce haha

The food here is great. Consistent quality and the staff is on top of things, even when they are busy...I have zero service or food complaints from here. My only "complaints" are the hours and they only serve street tacos Friday and Saturday. It is what it is but whenever I think about getting street tacos for our family of 5, it's usually on a weekday around dinner time and it's hard to remember to come here in the rare event we want tacos at 10 in the morning on Saturday. Still giving 5 stars because they really are great, I just wish we could give them more business.

Best torta I’ve had in years!!! The bread was toasted, soft, hot crispy edges, with guacamole, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato and your choice of meat… i got picadillo and omg bro it was amazing… i cannot remember the last time i had a torta that good. I can’t believe i found this in Cypress. I had that torta for lunch and i wish i could eat that torta again for dinner as im writing this. I ate that torta up sooo good. I couldn’t wait to tell my fam about that torta. I highkey recommend the tortas here fosho. The downsides are: they don’t serve birria, they close early, they don’t have fountain drinks, and they charge for chips and salsa. That was a turn off having to pay for chips and salsa tbh. It can get busy but only about half the tables were taken. Music and vibe is great too tbh. You order up at the front of the counter, they give you a number and then bring out the food to your table.

Absolutely the best breakfast tacos in Cypress. If someone tells you otherwise they’re lying. My favorite is their chorizo and potato. Also for lunch get the burrito with beef fajita. You’ll be stuffed when you leave.

You can feel the family and community here. The food is consistently delicious and I swear I could eat here for every breakfast for the rest of my life. Taco Skinner for the win!!!!!

Stopped in on a whim and man, am I glad we did! Freaking amazing food! So good we ordered more to go! Very well priced and the portion sizes were great. We ordered chips and salsa, breakfast tacos of varying kinds, and the chilaquiles divorciados. So, so good!

We ordered Chilaquiles divorciados plate, chicken al pastor taco, and chorizo bean and cheese tacos. Place was busy but the line moves very fast and efficiently! Food was great and fresh would definitely come back!

I had the worse experience here today.I had previously ate here and there was a waiting but the food was good stood in line huge and order a plate of Chilaquiles ,Menudo and a taco and asked for chips.Chips never came we had to ask 20minuted within sitting down for them . 45 minutes sitting down and we kept seeying people who order after us get their order so my husband asked twice what was the hold.Just to have somebody come and tell us that they should of told us they were waiting on their second batch of menudo to be ready that they had no idea why when we ordered l they didn’t mention it to us and If we wanted to cancel the order.We were really dissatisfied but didn’t say anything but yes we cancel and they kindly gave us a order and if we wanted a extra taco so they gave us back the refund for the Menudo finally brought the food. Some semi cold soggy chilaquiles .I guess they were waiting for the menudo to bring them so it seem they had been sitting there waiting (no utensils we used the closed set left from the previous people sitting ) and 2 tacos de Chicharron soggy no beans and cheese like we asked.We ate them because we had already payed for the food and we had been at the restaurant for almost 1.5 hours but I will never return their too busy to properly care for their customers there’s no where to sit and to even order the waiting is ridiculous.I have never been so dissatisfied with any place and payed for a MEDIOCRE food and not one apology or anything from a manager or anybody.They are understaffed and the place is extremely small for the amount of customers so of course service is poor now.Even more upsetting the wait and the fact that if my husband wouldn’t had mention several times you guys forgot about us to the waiters they wouldn’t had ever came and told us the wait was the menudo maybe even spent another 45 minutes since nobody checks on the tables .We kept seeying people get their food and the people next to me get their chilaquiles place nice presentation and hot eat it .

This place is absolutely the best authentic Mexican restaurant in Cypress, and they have homemade tortillas. Every thing is always delicious.

We came in, the line was huge and we were expecting a long wait. In reality, the line went by very fast and we were to the front in less than 10 minutes. They have little menus along the walls so we already knew what we wanted when we got to the front to order. I got 2 barbacoa tacos with beans and cheese, mex style potatoes, and cilantro and onions. Suffice to say they were awesome. I also got the chicken fajita street tacos which were gloriously beautiful. We also got about 2 dozen other tacos to drop off at my friends work, and apparently they were also great and well seasoned. Easily the best tacos for miles. We will be going back

I actually,… originally gave them a 5 Star immediately after leaving the restaurant. And eating part of my order. Then later I discovered that they did not did my order correct.

I LOVE THE PEOPLE I LOVE THE FOOD I LOVE THE PLACE. I tried MEX taco house as a recovery food for my sloppy weekend, and my expectations were not very high. The first time I ate here I ordered off of Uber eats, and it was one of the best breakfast Tacos of my life. It was so good I had to go back and make sure Uber wasn’t lying. Fast forward to today… I’m having to tell myself NO every Sunday because my body wakes up CRAVING MEX taco house, immediately after I wake up. And guess what, I usually cave and find myself magically at MEX taco house. See you Sunday

I love the foodand the tortillas are homemade. You can see all the food being made. It gets crowded, but they do provide outside patio seating.

So impressed by these tacos in Cypress! My boyfriend and I were in town visiting my parents, and we went back two days in a row. The line was a little long on a Sunday morning, as you can imagine, but the tacos and great service made the wait worth it.

Hate to give 1 stars, but my chilaquiles plate smelled like a wet dog-only way I can describe. Normally I would tear it up, but couldn’t get past the smell. Kind of surprised that the ratings approached 5 stars, must be all their cousins. lol, Also too expensive for a Mexican breakfast. I would have to not recommend.

I can’t say enough positive things about this place. Staff is great. Best breakfast tacos I’ve ever had. They have become a weekend tradition at our house. I can’t recommend the Taco Cypress and Taco Don Mex enough.

When you step in it has the buzz of a authentic taco house. Tortilla melts in your mouth. The portion size is small for $4 a taco. Ordered 2 chorizo egg and cheese with bacon it was a solid 7/10. Also ordered a country sausage egg and bean. Was also a solid 7.

Great service and very helpful staff. It’s amazing how busy they get and yet still get the food out to everyone in a timely matter dishes prepped with love and care.

Went to Trucks and Coffee on 2/25/24 and tried the food here it was amazing. Also fast service and Friendly customer service. I came back 2/27/24 and brought a coworker with me he loved the food. I will most definitely make this my restaurant of choice when I'm working in the area.

This is hands down the best place for breakfast tacos in Cypress. There’s always a line but it moves fast. I always get the Taco Houston and tend to try something different for my second taco. Haven’t been disappointed yet.

This place used to be so much better. When they were located on Telge their quality of food was consistent. Unfortunately the past few times we have ordered breakfast tacos here, they have went downhill. The service was very slow today, with hardly anyone there. The sausage, egg and cheese was entirely too salty. The chorizo has much more grease than it used to. The bacon egg cheese and potato was very bland. Hopefully they can bring back the original quality that it used to be. We will be taking a time out from here for awhile.

Breakfast tacos are love. Love is breakfast tacos. Houston is serious about breakfast tacos and these are the best I’ve had OUTSIDE of the loop. Everyone knows you can get serious foodie food inside the loop and you fight for foodie scraps out in the suburbs but… this place actually holds up! Get all different kinds of breakfast tacos to find your preference but I love the chorizo and egg!

How could I have missed this place all this time?!! Today I felt like having a quesadilla so I googled food near me and this popped up and had rave reviews. Well....the reviews are spot on! This place is SO GOOD! Great food, great service, with a fun and layed back atmosphere. Oh yea...and GREAT prices. We ordered chips and salsa, cheese quesadilla, barbacoa quesadilla, picadillo taco, carne guisada taco and a sangria soda for a total of $20.84. Also, you order at the counter so you can save on tip. The food was authentic AND they use homemade tortillas. I highly recommend! Update: O...M....G! We went back and ordered the Mex quesadilla with Barbacoa for $13. That thing is HUGE! Trust me...two people can share this for sure. It is stuffed full of meat and cheese! It is delicious! It is definitely well worth the price. I LOVE this place!

I created this Carne Guissda taco with Chorizo potatoes. Love the picadillo taco. My daughter loves the Desdebrada taco w sour cream on the side. The lemonade is awesome. Although I can't get it all the time. But overall, give them a chance to make you a repeat customer.

Was packed, 16 person line, but the line went extremely fast. Workers do not seem overworked and food came out very fast. Had 2 different breakfast special tacos and a lunch burrito. Everything was fresh. Best breakfast tacos I have tested in cypress/houston. Definitely coming back frequently.

The best breakfast tacos around. The tortillas are amazing and pliable with zero lard- can't stand when they fall apart or raw from so much lard. The potato and egg with a strip of huge, full strip of bacon that covers the width and length of the taco- AMAZING!! All of the breakfast tacos are huge and fresh!! Love the spicy green as well. I wish the chips fused or the chilaquiles were thicker as they get soggy fairly fast, but flavor and presentation are good. Love this place and the staff always accommodates with a smile :-). Update- The last few times we have ordered tacos, the tortillas have slowly gotten worse. More lard so the tacos fall to pieces when you hold them. So disappointing and like every other place around now. Not sure what is goiing on but they were never like this before and were always so consistent. Not sure if we will be back.

I got the Huevos Rancheros to go. Order came out quick and it was busy inside. Only thing I would have wanted changed is for the potatoes to be a little bit crispier. It was delicious.

I love tacos, so I know just about every taco place/taqueria in Tomball/Cypress. I went to this place for the first time this morning. Got breakfast tacos. They were great. Two things stick out. 1) The tacos are HUGE. They use a full size tortilla and a TON of egg, which is awesome. For $3 a taco, its a deal! I made the mistake of getting 4 because I assumed they would be small (Iike most places) and I wanted to try out 4 different meats for my first trip. And now I am so full I can barely move. 2) They have more meat options than most places. For example, for sausage, you can two different kinds--Jimmy Dean or Chapel Hill. Cool place. I'll be back.

This is a great hole in the wall restaurant. It's in a busy shopping strip. But there is plenty of parking. They recently added outdoor seating, which is nice. Because this place can he packed on the weekends. They have your generic taco shop dishes, but the flavor here is incomparable. Prices are decent for the size and quality of food you get.
