On Bomber Road, this is a wonderful trip down the Menominee River. The best part is that you get to go over class 3 falls twice. They bring a second raft, where you stop and drop one, then continue on and go over the rafts. Then you walk through the short path back to jump on the one you left and go down it again. You can change positions on the boat for a different experience. Our guide James was a professional, he understood how to make us a team immediately even when we didn’t know each other. He also had plenty to share about the local area, being a veteran at Wildman for 16 years. The falls were just enough adrenaline for novice rafters and we had opportunities to swim in the river prior to and after the falls. Have a great trip!!

How did I not know about this place!! Seriously, it is a gem that every water enthusiast should experience. We had so much fun with our thrill cat kayak trip that we will absolutely be back. The staff, Chase, Will, Zoe and Juli were really amazing and made the trip even more memorable. You don't need to go to Colorado for some quality rafting...you can do it right here in Wisconsin.

We did the ziplining(which was fantastic) and the white-water rafting(which was just ok). Overall, the place is great, but the rafting was pretty tame and boring(I know it's based on the water levels in the river at the time). They do not push for tips, which they should, and shame on the other folks for not tipping. These kids all work really hard and they were all lovely.

From making reservations to going on two wild water trips both on the Menominee and the Peshtigo the staff treated us with absolute class and were super helpful. Nora was great checking us in and setting us up with activities. Merina was a great tour guide on the rafter paddle trip, then Jill and crew were great on the kayaking paddle trip. We also enjoyed some great conversation and drinks with the crew after hours at the Boomer bar. Very happy with our stay recommended.

We had an absolute blast at Wildman Adventures. All associates, and our raft guides, were AWESOME, personable and shared all kinds of history as we floated down the river getting to our rapids. I enjoyed that they let us have a lot of fun, playing games and pushing people overboard when we were just floating along. We loved the experience and would love to go back.

I brought my young teenagers for a full blown adventure at both the Menominee and Peshtigo Outposts. At the Menominee we chose the Pain(t) Ball adventure, Whitewater rafting and Ziplining, all super awesome. Lily was our Pain(t) ball guide, she couldn't have been more fun or sweeter. The courses were amazing, one on a hill with lots of cool places to cover. Marina was our Whitewater guide. I am an experienced Whitewater paddler and was admittedly nervous about bringing young teens out. Marina was awesome with instructions and fun games for the kids. We were fortunate to have 2 other teens around the same age with another family on the boat so Marina's games were so much fun and it made the children comfortable. The 2 guys we had for zip lining, my curly haired blonde guide Mike and Jett I think (sorry dudes I forgot your names) were just killer. They had both groups, we got lucky to meet another family with kids the same age, learning creative ways to soar on a zip. My children were so comfortable with you both, thank you. Jett you are a Spider Man 😀 We purchased the rafting photos which were amazing. We had some snacks at the restaurant. The grounds were super clean, positive vibes. Between Menominee and Peshtigo we couldn't choose a favorite location. The staff was just amazing. Special shout out to Lily who helped me book back in May, then ended up as our guide. You made me very comfortable sharing my love of rafting with my children and choosing our adventures. Hugs girl! Namaste Note to the owner, I have traveled the world far and wide on adventures, it is okay to educate your customers with a sign about the importance of tipping guides. You can even offer a chart on suggrsted % of tip for a trip. Your guides will thank you and your customers will learn more about the adventure travel industry that will help them be good stewards of the industry.

Everything was very well organized, the adventure was not strenuous but a small amount of hiking (optional) was involved that allowed us to "shoot" the rapids twice. The guides were excellent and we felt very safe.

Great introduction to rafting. Our guide was well experienced, knowledgable on the river and area commentary, and learned our names! It was a fun and memorable family activity with our two young adults.

We had a blast! My husband , 12 year old & 10 year old loved it! We rafted the Menomonee river and our 10-year-old had to get out because of the class IV rapids, But she really loved the rest of the trip and there was plenty of other fun runs/rapids For her to enjoy. Our family did a really boring rafting trip in Colorado several years ago, probably only class one and twos, because our kids were little. This was really fun and perfect for their ages, it was about 3 1/2 hours door-to-door (with the bus rides); I wish our 14-year-old could have joined, but she was away at camp; she would have loved the rafting too. James was our guide, he was extremely professional and fun. We brought some picnic lunch things and ordered some food & drinks from their restaurant and hung out for an hour & a half before rafting at their picnic tables, You can bring a frisbee or football because there’s plenty of grass. Everyone was very kind and knowledgeable who worked there. We drove up from Chicago suburbs, I would definitely go again if we were already up in northern Michigan/Wisconsin - A fun family activity for sure. I have rafted several times in West Virginia on the New & Gauley Rivers, this setup is similar - beautiful scenery, and fun rapids.

Our team had an amazing time at Wildman! We went whitewater rafting with 2 guides that were super knowledgable and kept us all safe. We enjoyed some paint ball that afternoon and the next morning we climbed the Alpine Tower. The cabins were clean and had everything we needed. It was awesome and we enjoyed every minute of our camping and rafting adventures.

I took a group of 20 middle school Girl Scouts and adults to Wildman for the weekend and I cannot recommend this adventure enough!! We camped on the Preshtigo River which was absolutely beautiful. It’s wooded and steps away from the running water of the river which is the perfect sound to fall asleep to. Our adventure started on the Menominee River which was a 50 minute drive from where we were camping. There we whitewater rafted on class 3 and class 4 rapids. Our guides were so patient and experienced that I felt comfortable even with 12/13 year old girls. Afterwards we zip lined which was just as thrilling. The next morning we kayaked on the Preshtigo River. I wasn’t expecting this adventure to be as exciting as the whitewater rafting, but some in our group thought this was their favorite. The guides we had for the activities were so awesome, and I could tell they really loved what they were doing. We also had gotten the meal package which I highly recommend. There wasn’t a lot of time to cook/cleanup and with the meal plan hot food from local restaurants were delivered right to us. The food was so much better than what we were expecting too. One night we even had ribs! Overall it was a great experience and the adults and girls are still talking about what a great time they had and how they can’t wait to go back.

We went out for a bachelor party. It was whitewater rafting on the Menominee River. Marina was our guide and she was wonderful and a delight. The Bombers bar was nice too. I can't believe I am a fairly local person and had never gone there. The only complaint I have is we had someone contract Covid and couldn't make it at the last minute. They charged me some kind of cancellation fee, and said no refund. There was no empty spot on any of the boats that I could see. They didn't lose any business due to this person having to cancel due to circumstances beyond their control.

The experience and staff are amazing! A must do in the Northwoods.

RIOTING - 4 ladies over 60 - Just had a blast - Marina was our rafting guide - It was a wild ride - Class IV rapids - At least we stayed in the raft - TIme of our lives! We ziplned the next day with Mike and Maggie and Seth - they took good care of us. Thanks to Mike for catching us on the other end. We would do it again in a heartbeat and we'll be sure to tell other adventurers about it. I want to do Peshtigo!

We had an amazing adventure at Wildman. This is a fantastic location with activities for everyone. The guides are fabulous, kind and well-prepared to make your trip excellent.

Well organized, friendly staff, knowledgeable, good equipment. Only complaint is that pics are only available on a thumb drive…so yesteryear! Need to be able to send entire set of pics as a zip file or let us select the pics we want to send electronically.

Our accommodations were changed due to an office mix up. We have a favorite cabin that we thought we had. We made the best of the other cabin. The kayaking and rapids excursions were outstanding. Your staff is amazing!

Mike was great. If you love photos of your family, do the 9:00. We did the 3:00 and the sun was not in the best spot for photos.

My family (husband, wife, 13-year old daughter, 11-year old son) loved our experiences at Wildmans. James was an outstanding river guide for the rafting. We have gone to other places for rafting in the Midwest and Colorado. This was the best. It was the perfect blend of beautiful scenery, challenging paddling and fast water. The food at Bombers was very good for a bar. Fast service and hot food! The zip lining was also great. Andy and Lily made everyone feel welcome and prepared us well for the adventure. The lines were fast and scenic. We’ll definitely visit Wildmans again.

This place is great! I drove here from Southern IL with my wife and my 17 yr old son. We went white water rafting and had an excellent time. The staff and guides are all real good people. I would highly recommend this as the go-to place if you ever want to try it out. Thank you for a memorable adventure!!!

We had a great time. My daughters and I did zip lining in the morning and white water rafting in the afternoon. The guides were safe, knowledgeable, and friendly, and really helped to make the experiences a lot of fun. The rafting had more flat water than we would have liked, but that is the nature of the river in the area, but they make the best of it by sending you through the most intense section of rapids twice. Overall, a great experience; well worth what we paid.

My husband and I zipped and rafted in 2015 with Wildman; loved it and knew that we would come back when our kids were old enough. This summer we brought our four teens back with us. We started the morning with ziplines and our guides, Maggie and Casper, were great. They were equally fun and encouraging. The morning time in July was definitely the time to be in the trees! The staff then told us where to drive to go to see Piers Gorge, since we had some time to kill before our scheduled afternoon white water rafting. We took a short hike to see the rapids. We had worked up an appetite so we went back to Wildman to the bar for a delicious meal. White Water Rafting!!!! Our guide was Marina... we could tell she really knew the route and guided us so well. We felt very well prepared in rowing and safety as we practiced on the river well before the rapids. And the rapids were amazing!!!! Finally, the last set of rapids my daughter fell out of the boat and within seconds she was pulled back in by Marina. My daughter was all smiles! We had a great time and will return to Wildman again! Thanks for a great family time!

We have done a few raft trips around the country. We were a little uncertain, but this one holds its own. You get to do the big rapids twice, which makes it good. It's not a destination trip, but we drove an hour from our place, and it was well worth the time and money. Marena was our guide, if you don't get her, I hope you get someone comparable. Good people. Everyone we dealt with was great. And, as an added bonus, you can get beer when your trip is done.

So much fun. Lived in Wisconsin for years and didn't know we could raft. Great staff, cute location, lots of activities. We can't wait to go back and do it again.

We had an absolutely amazing day with our guide Ethan on July 5th! It was 60 and rainy, not an ideal water day for myself. But we had an absolute blast with a group of 7 ranging in age from 13 to 60! For some of us, this was our first time. For others, it was the third trip back to Wildman. We will all be coming back for more! On the flat, slow part of the river, we played games to help pass the time and have fun. The other boats were pretty entertained as well. The rafting was amazing. You could tell that Ethan knew what he was doing. After getting through all of the rapids, Ethan was happy to answer our questions about mechanics and what it is like to be a guide. We absolutely recommend this to anyone considering!

I feel extremely fortunate to have such an exceptional spot for rafting and camping so close to me (coming from Chicago). I've come here twice for rafting, high ropes, and rock climbing, and it's my go-to for outdoor adventure. This May was my second trip, and it was a 2-year anniversary with one of my closest friends who I met at Wildman 2 years ago. We were fortunate enough to get James this year as our rafting guide and had an absolutely thrilling ride on the Menomonee. It's a well run operation and solid option for camping and all their outdoor activities.

Wildman is staffed by excellent and caring young men and women, who take great care to make sure every aspect of a visit fits your needs. The run takes you for about 3 miles through some flat water and through a series of amazing rapids set between gorgeous basalt rock cliffs. There are many adventure activities, but my wife and I (both 70 years old) were there for the whitewater rafting. My wife was a bit on edge, but everyone was so helpful and positive that she literally jumped on board. Our guide, Dan, was tops and made safety a priority. Neither one of us regretted it. In fact it was a total adrenaline rush. The water was unusually robust on our day, after a heavy rain the night before. How much fun it was to be a kid again. If we can do it, anyone can do it.

This experience was so much fun. You couldn't wipe the smiles off of our faces. We were first time white water rafters and it was the perfect Birthday adventure. The guides were kind and helpful. The pictures were amazing. Thank you Wildman Adventure.

We did the Menominee River Rafting and had a blast. Our guide was awesome. Much of this river is a slow float down with no rapids. There are a few exciting sections you pass until you reach the major rapids which is super exhilarating with big whitewater. They bring a second raft along so you can run the best section twice. Highly recommended and loads of fun!

We have an absolutely BLAST on the Menominee River trip!! We loved that you could take young kids - our entire family was able to go. We have kids ages seven to 15 and everyone was thrilled with their experience!!! We loved all the fun things we did during the flatwater sections, including getting out to swim. We are so happy we went with Wildman! Great guides! Great service! Amazing memories!

This was the best day ever! I was so hesitant to try this but ended up going anyways and I am so happy that I went. Totally professional operation. Was very focused on safety and having fun! Had an awesome experience with James our guide who was so informative about the history of the area and the different categories of rapids that we went through. After rafting we totally enjoyed the pictures in the resort bar with the new managers Ashley and Zack! Awesome and friendly and such amazing cocktails! Truly a place for craft cocktails or a great beer! Super friendly and professional from beginning to end and so much to do here at this “Wildlife Adventure Resort”. Can’t wait to come back and try the golf, zipline, rock climbing and the rest of the adventures!!

Nate the great was our guide for rafting. He was amazing! We had a family of 6 with ages ranging from 64 to 8. This adventure was age appropriate for all of us and allowed us to have an incredible time together.

The guides for the white rafting and Zipline were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, exciting and very safe! Super fun experience! Went with my husband and dad. Ages ranged from 12 to at least 58. Great experience also was our first time white water rafting and my dad's first time experiencing both! They took professional photos as well and they turned out great! Did have to purchase a USB for the pictures if you wanted them. Highly recommend!

Had an absolute blast coming here with friends. If you’re looking for a weekend away and a lot of fun, you definitely need to check this place out. Fabian was a great paintball guide, Zubin made white water rafting super enjoyable for us. LA also made zip lining a blast for us even though I’m scared of heights. And lastly shoutout to the bartender Zack for the great hospitality. Never met a bare tender who loves his job more than Zack does. Best customer service I’ve ever had from a bar tender. Awesome vacation with my oldest grandson! The staff where great they were just funny having a good time and just elevated the excitement and fun we experienced. Dan the Man running the show was great along with the guides. We stayed in the Hideaway a small but cozy cabin with all the amenities we needed. If your looking to experience a lot of exhilarating activities this place is for you!

We went for a birthday trip and all of the staff made it so special!!! We did the Zip and Raft tour and it was absolutely incredible!! James, Marina and Fabian were so fun and very knowledgeable guides and made the day more than memorable!! Keylie and Amelia made getting ready, the transport and getting all our photos such a fun experience. Will be going back for more birthdays to come!!! My friend and I took our 15 & 16 year old sons here for whitewater rafting and ziplining. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights in the Cub Cabin. Cabin was clean and accommodated our needs. Only complaint was the grill outside was rusty and unusable. Staff here could not have been nicer! Ashley in the office was amazing and so helpful! Zack in Bombers bar/restaurant was super nice and made the best drinks and food! He even made the boys brats for breakfast while whipping up his own specialty drink concoctions! Devon our raft guide was funny and nice! Kelly the photographer was a sweetheart! The boys raved about how cool Will was for the zipline! The BEST experience and weekend ever! Can't wait to return next summer! I highly recommend this place--the grounds are beautiful and serene and the staff made it so much fun! Thanks again for a great weekend! Went white water rafting in early June 2023 prior to peak vacation season with four of my friends. We were the only ones on a weekday 9 am tour so we got a personalized experience with our raft guide James. He made sure we knew all the procedures and rules quite well, plus pointed out all the things cool along the Menominee River. As a result we hit the class four rapid at Piers Gorge fairly flawless. Would highly consider coming back on a future vacation! They only have one bathroom stall for changing clothes and no shower (you can just jump in the river instead), but a fairly large open room for changing outside the bathroom (separate genders). We finished the tour in 2.5 hours, even though the average time is 3-4 hours. Of course it varies though based on your tour size and current flow and flow was above average for us so we went a little quicker. Also, thanks to Nora for snapping photos of us as we hit the rapids and coming up with unique picture ideas for us to act out (the Harry Potter). Again, would highly consider coming back for a future tour!

Second time rafting the Menominee River, both with Wildman. Great time, great guide, great whitewater. Scenery along river is beautiful and passes the time while paddling to the rapids. Also, had the kids, or whoever wanted, play a game along the flat section, a lot of fun. Guide was knowledgeable of area and taught us all the techniques we needed to navigate the rapids. We all learned well, and he informed us we hit rapids perfect on both runs. Have rafted in western states and believe the Menominee is just as good! Check out Wildman for whitewater fun!

Great guides on the Zipline tour. It was fun but not what I expected. Most of Zipline was along the golf course. Guides made it fun.
