This place has some good tasting food. I was surprised how much it hold flavor. Not too salty and they made it just how I ask. Rice noodles, with grilled shrimp, extra veggies with broccoli, carrot, bean sprouts, green onion. It was crunchy and prices are reasonable. I'll try something else the next time I go. The woman with the cute dark hair and haircut prep my to go. She was really nice too.

I know you can see it, but I need for you to hear me when I say...SHRIMP👏 FRIED 👏 RIEEEEECE👏🤣😂!! (Oh yeah, it's that goodt!💯). 10 outta 10, in my opinion. Only thing is, this restaurant does not cook in the old school traditional way of making Western/ American Chinese food. You won't find bean sprouts in this rice (Sorry, Jack 😭😭).. Nor will you find old-school items like egg foo young and pepper steak. What you will find though is fried rice and shrimp bursting with flavor so good that you don't need extra soy sauce to make it tasty. --My greedy behind went yesterday and done ate the whole dang tray in one sitting. (Don't judge me, judge ya momma). Wok on Fire is a hole in the wall, no frills restaurant, that is the size of a shoe box. It sits in the corner of a 7-11 and looks real shady. But this reminds me of home in the Midwest, when Bigmomma nem" used to order on the phone and have it delivered with 99 extra packs of sweet and sour sauce. As for the other dishes....they cute. But take heed and go with what I know tastes good. If not, don't come looking for me talm-bout you ain't like what you ordered. I done told you what to get.

The fried rice is pretty good for LA. It was hot, fried dark and the chicken was soft. They just need some fried wings/fried pork chops to go with it. West coast chinese food be lacking.

This used to be my favorite Chinese food but it seems that there is new staff and taste is different. Orange chicken and fried rice used to be so flavorful now it’s bland, I’ve given them multiple tries lately but sadly it’s not the same anymore. Prices have gone up as well and it doesn’t match the taste.

Best Asian food in central LA. From Japanese to Chinese, we ordered Mongolian Beef for my hubby and I had the Baked Salmon roll ( with soy paper), both were mouth watering, delicious, the variety on the menu is insane. We always order delivery, super fast, perfect packaging, and chinese cookies. The delivery person is super polite ans charming. The people taking the orders attentive and kind. The lunch menus is amazing and cheap, comes with salad and egg roll. Also no GMO. Love this place.

BEST fried rice I've had since living in Los Angeles. Tastes exactly like St. Louis styled Chinese food. I got the chicken fried rice without peas and carrots, but add onions. The chicken in the rice was AMAZING and the rice didn't even need Soy Sauce. It was PERFECT.

We ordered 3 different chickens to give them all a shot. Wasn’t a huge fan of the Smokey chicken texture or flavor but general chao and sesame were by far the greatest I’ve had in awhile in LA. I would recommend those two dishes but not the Smokey flavor. Sauces were thick and delicious!

This place was the worst, inside and outside. What a dump! Wish I could give -5 stars. It was over priced and the food was nasty! I placed an order of the salmon sushi. It was $7 for 2 pieces of fish. One was edible, the other was so sinewy I couldn't even bite it. And it did not even look fresh! So I paid $7 for one piece of fish. I also order the crispy honey walnut dinner. It was $20 but I still had to pay extra for rice. And the shrimp tasted under done. And now, this morning I haven't been off the toilet yet. Not sure which dish poisoned me but I'm almost positive it was both. I paid $32.00 for food poisoning. Shame on you Wok on Fire. Don't ever eat here folks.

I haven't been here in a couple years. It's definitely a hole in the wall and the parking isn't very good. But the food was always great. I ordered my favorite lunch dish, spicy garlic chicken. It comes with an egg roll, salad, rice and white meat chicken with broccoli. Delicious as I remember. It's a little more expensive now at $10.

Alright, don’t make fun of me, but one of my favorite Chinese restaurants is Wok On Fire. Actually, that IS my favorite Chinese restaurant among the non-fancy quick serve category. Why do I love it so much? Well for starters, their lunch special is pretty awesome. You choose the main dish you want, and it comes with salad, rice, and an egg roll. But the taste is what got me hooked! I hate how when you go to have Asian food, a lot of it can be pretty sweet. But Wok On Fire knows how to keep the savory dishes savory. Every dish I’ve had here has been really good and its really hard for me to say which is my favorite. I’d say, try them all. Their orange chicken was always a popular selection among my friends as well as their Crispy Walnut Shrimp. The downside? They have a B rating!!! And its been like that for years now! I don’t know why. But I don’t care. I guess neither do other people because they had multiple order takers and their phones were ringing left and right for delivery and takeout orders. This place is a bit far from me but so far, its the only Chinese restaurant I really love. If anyone knows of other good Chinese restaurants let me know! I’d love to try it!

This little hidden gem was feeding so many people in a small kitchen! Locals know it is good. We were impressed with the quality and freshness of the food. We shared Kung Pao Chicken and Sautéed Vegetables. Honestly it would serve 4 people. Again, good quality and very fresh. We enjoyed it.

Good food is hard to come by these days and everyone in LA seems to be on some type of unique diet. Non-GMO, vegan, paleo, no salt, low salt, organic, gluten-free, ad infinitum! I’ll be honest, I’m one of those people and it happened only recently out of necessity. I’m salt sensitive so I have to be careful of what I ingest. We’ve eaten at Wok on Fire before, but now many questions loom over my head. I call and ask the question, “Do you use MSG when cooking?” The restaurant was awesome about offering a remedy. Their response, “Yes, we do use MSG but we’re happy to cook your food without any MSG or modifications that you request.” Remember how taboo MSG was in the nineties? I remember the headlines on Current Affair, Hard Copy, Inside Edition, and all the news outlets. I’m shocked restaurants still use it these days. I always ask when we dine out or order takeout. We ordered Singapore noodles, no chicken or soybeans, extra egg. Shrimp in Hot Garlic Sauce extra spicy, and the Tokyo fried rice. All no MSG. The food arrived about an hour later. The Singapore noodles came to us with chicken and beef so we had to have them send out a new one which they were happy to do. The food was tasty. We enjoyed it but unfortunately almost twenty minutes after I finished my meal a big headache came over me. My partner fell asleep on the couch. We had become victims of MSG. It was no use calling to complain because they likely used the same pan they cook with MSG on our order which caused cross contamination. They have great food here. I’d avoid ordering the sushi. It’s not very good and overpriced. The Tokyo rice and Singapore noodles are to die for, if you can live with MSG in your food. We most likely won’t return despite being customers for a few years because health matters much more to us than takeout food. This restaurant is very tiny. It’s a great dinner spot during the week. We love dining here on a week night. We use the delivery service when we’re feeling lazy. They have a great delivery coverage area.

This hole in the wall has such good food that they do an amazing amount of take-out food. More take-out than eat in. There are 4-5 small tables. But this is great Chinese food. So I go here when I'm in a hurry and want Chinese food. And inexpensive.

Eat in or take out. Nothing fancy, but the food is great and they deliver too. Ideal for taking to the Hollywood Bowl and enjoying the concerts, as the food will still be warm by the time you get there. My favorites are the egg rolls, orange chicken and shrimp-fried rice. Nice-size portions too and great prices. This place is hard to beat, after eating there, I'm sure you'll agree. Call in your order and it will be ready in 10 minutes, definitely before you get there.

I have ordered for delivery here 3 times and went for pick up once, only because I was going to pass right by there. The service for pick up was fine. My first try here was by using delivery. I have ordered the same items since. The food I ordered was great! My niece loves orange chicken, so one night we didn't want to move and we ordered fried rice, Lo Mein noodles with shrimp, and orange chicken. It was 3 of us sharing the dishes and we STILL had leftovers. I'm not a fan of orange chicken (as it's not a traditional Chinese food dish, but this place has the BEST! The delivery driver asked me to come downstairs and I politely told him which unit I was in and he walked upstairs. I figured, not only did I pay a delivery fee but I added an extra tip. So yeah, please bring my food to the door thank you. I've had one cheery guy and one who was basically like here is your food, thank you, bye. I don't need for my delivery person to be super cheery. I'm just excited to not have to get up and go anywhere and all of my condiments are actually in the bag. Nothing missing. Gotta love it! When I use the online delivery service to order from here and it was flawless. The site tells you estimated delivery time and it's ALWAYS been within 5 minutes of the time. No biggie.
