Crab dip lacked seasoning. Menu said house made croutons on the Caesar salad, but they came out of a box. We were disappointed with the food although the waitress was lovely. It was too expensive for what we received.

Extremely disappointed with the service. I was the first to arrive of an “afternoon rush”. I was seated immediately and received my drinks quickly. But things quickly went south after that. It seems as though the waitresses completely forgot about me and my children and proceeded to take the orders of everyone in the restaurant before returning to my table to take our order. Obviously, orders come out in the order that they are received. So my children and I received our food last, after waiting almost 45min. The food was good, the atmosphere was ok. But the service definitely killed the experience for me.

This is now our "go-to" place! Love the atmosphere, the staff is always so pleasant and the food is excellent! It doesn't hurt that you can bring your own beer or wine and for a nominal $5 charge you'll be able to enjoy your adult beverage. We live in Bel Air, and head to Woodfire Kitchen on a weekly basis! Yes, it's that good! Take some time and maybe travel a bit to enjoy their hospitality, you won't be disappointed!

I had a crab cake that was so spicy that it tasted like someone poured an entire container of Old Bay seasoning into it! It was square and flat, not round and fluffy. It looked like it came out of a store bought box but couldn't have because of all the excess spice added to it. My mouth felt like it was on fire! It was mushy and tasted like it had too much mayonnaise and hot sauce and horseradish style Dijon mustard. I tried to ignore it to be polite, but the burning sensation got worse with every bite. I tried to tell the waitress, but she acted like she didn't care and cut me off mid sentence and walked away to do something else. I did not feel like a valued customer and didn't understand how that much spice in a crab cake could happen on accident or why anyone would do it intentionally. I do not plan on going back there. If you do, I recommend avoiding the seafood options.

Excellent food! I got the crab pretzel and split a cheese pizza. I'll definitely be coming back!

Best burgers ever great service

I got the fish tacos for $18 definitely not worth it unless you just want slaw the fish piece in each Taco what is literally the size of my pinky.

This restaurant is amazing! 👍👍 The ambiance is cozy, and the small decorations on the tables seem thoughtfully prepared. It’s a great spot for both a business dinners and casual family or friends' gatherings. The servers are very friendly and sweet. When the food arrived, I was surprised by the generous portions. Even the starters are large enough to make a hearty lunch for someone with a big appetite. The Crab Dip is absolutely delicious! The rich, cheesy flavor is perfectly balanced with the right amount of crab meat. The carrots and celery are great for cutting through the richness, and the bread is soft and fresh. Overall, this starter is just perfect. The flavor of Buffalo Wings is fantastic, highly recommended. In conclusion, I really like this restaurant. It’s definitely worth recommending and coming back to!

Parking lot is small and so is restaurant although it's very cute and cozy and has plenty of outdoor seating. Pizza was not only gorgeous but delicious. Wings were some of the best I have had in awhile.

Best Fries I've ever had in my life. Burger was a little overcooked. Food came out quick, was still a little hungry. Will return because of how good the fries are.

Passing though this small town on the way to Monkton Station to go tubing, this restaurant has surprisingly nice rustic ambiance and the food was delicious.

My husband and I had arranged to meet a pizza-loving friend, who’d been curious to taste the wood fired offerings. It was a temperate early summer day, but although there were plenty of picnic tables, there was not very much shade available from the umbrellas —plus we’d have to contend with traffic noise from York Road -- so we opted to eat in the small dark dining room. Our server was friendly and prompt. The covers on the menu binders have cheerful hand-drawn inserts by local children, which adds a nice homey touch-- but in our post-Covid age I’ll be happy once QR menus have replaced the sticky plastic ones that make me feel the need to pull out the hand sanitizer. The 3 of us ordered small salads, and the home-made Caesar dressing was outstanding. Actually, that dressing was the star of the meal. Our friend ordered the Margherita Pizza and was far from impressed. He said the dough needed salt, there was too much cheese and was done after consuming a single slice of his pie. I tried a slice from his pie, and found it curiously flavorless. My husband was disappointed also in the taste of his Brie, sausage and fig pizza, plus he did not care for the floppy crust. He took home the leftovers and found the dough to be better on the 2nd day, reheated in our convection oven. I’m not a pizza lover, so I checked out the Angus Burgers from Roseda, a local farm. Nothing appealed to me from the 4 signature "Griller" creations: the Woodfire has BBQ sauce; the Chesapeake is topped with crab dip; the Spicy had peppers and Jalapeno Jack cheese; and the GOAT had goat cheese with bacon and fig jam. Grillers were supposed to be served with french fries. My preference is a blue cheese burger, so I chose the “build my own” option. My customized burger was disappointing at best. I was presented a naked plate with just the burger. To clarify, it wasn’t served with french fries, yet was the same price as the 4 signature burgers. Fine, I can overlook the missing fries, who needs the extra carbs… But the glaring omission was the absence of pickles. I mentioned the missing pickles to our waitress and she said their burgers come with lettuce and tomato. That’s it. A slice of red onion would also be nice, but I didn't mention that. After I voiced my disappointment on the absent garnish she brought over a saucer with some bread and butter pickles. Can I have found the only restaurant in the country that serves burgers without pickles? Pickles are automatically added to burgers, and dill spears accompany sandwiches. I know this because my husband despises pickles and I’m always happy to receive his on my plate. Anyway, the curious lack of garnishes on my burger detracted from my own experience. 3 diners left disappointed, 3 stars.

After my 100+ visits, I realized I never wrote a review, so I had to fix that! Always a great experience. I personally love the food and variety of options. Menu changes seasonally, and has something for everyone I've taken there. Even better, in the COVID lock down, Tom has his awesome staff offering pick up orders. The food is still as awesome, and the attention to safety makes it a very low stress trip out to pick up the food. I'm glad he doesn't deliver or I'd forget how to cook! I'm very happy to have Wood Fire Kitchen in our community.

I love this place, you can pick any menu item and won't be disappointed. My favs... sausage, fig, brie pizza on thin crust, mussels, burgers of any type and the fried pickles are amazing.

I really like this place. I've never even had the pizza but the cheesesteak is really good so I just keep getting that. Staff is always friendly and it's off the beaten path in a cool location with outdoor dining if that's your thing. Next time I will try the pizza is what I always say but I'll probably get another cheesesteak.

A hidden gem! We were met with wonderful attentive service right away. Food was excellent. Our server was great, unsure of her name as receipt said “Common” as name, but if her name was Common, thanks for a wonderful meal! We will be back soon!

Stopped in for Mother’s Day. Great food and friendly service. Really cozy atmosphere, nice place to grab some good food. The fig pizza sounded interesting and was a good choice. Definitely recommend stopping in.

Food was free delicious! Service was great!

Owner told me to turn my phone off when I was in the middle of a phone call while waiting for my food. I was polite and hung up the call. Then intentionally made the food disgusting. Mind you I was not talking loud at all on the phone but apparently inside voice on a speakerphone is too loud for a restaurant. It’s not like me to put a bad review but this was uncalled for. Ill never go back there again.

This restaurant struggles with handling high volumes of orders, and the quality of food is inconsistent. One pizza might be amazing, while the next one is undercooked. Additionally, I've had the coldest fries and hamburger I've ever eaten here. The kitchen is trying to manage too many menu items, which affects their ability to deliver high-quality meals consistently. A smaller, well-executed menu would significantly improve the dining experience.

Second time here. Love the pizza and the chicken was great. Service is exceptional.

Good place to stop for lunch when in the area. Decent burgers. Meal came with a generous portion of fresh cut fries which were a bit overcooked. Very sweet iced tea. Pizza also looks like a popular option, but my table didn't order any.

Want to start by saying, if you don’t know where this place is you’ll drive past it without realizing. It’s a pretty neat place, lots of outdoor seating and a smallish inside dinner area. You order at the counter and they bring everything to you. The three girls we encountered working were all super nice. Food and drinks came out quick. The pizza is really good. Light soft dough, with a crunchy crust. The traditional sauce is very tasty, and what you would expect from a normal pizza sauce. The cheese was the highlight, if I had to guess they use a whole milk mozzarella. The Caesar wrap was good, and the burger was awesome. It was well done as requested but was still juicy. Highlight of those two were the season fries. Will be coming again. 5 drinks, the three entrees put us around $53 pre tip which I thought was fair considering the quality of the food and service.

Heard good things about this place. My wife and I were in the area and decided to stop in for dinner. The ladies working the front were all hustling. Food (pizza) was great. We both enjoyed sitting out on the front patio eating at a relaxed pace. We’ll definitely be back.

*********R E V I S I O N********** After quite some time of having written this place off as worthless we just had a fantastic pizza and a great salad Woodfire Kitchen is firmly back on the rotation. They got their act together !!! Having Lived in the area now for over a year I have frequented this restaurant 4 to 5 times either eat in or carry out. Mostly ordering their pizza with the exception of last night whereas I ordered the salmon special that was horrible In every aspect.The fish was strong tasting and the preparation was not even remotely close to what was described. What I find sad is that with a really nice wood fired oven the only dishes that they cook in it is the pizza and they really don't have their pizza cooking under control at all. What I mean is what is called in the pizza business as a wet middle they seem to not be able to overcome having a pool of moisture in the middle and a very undercooked crust on the bottom in the middle.

We stopped here for lunch after Big Truck Brewery and it was great! My husband really enjoyed his burger and I loved the G.O.A.T. Pizza. Will definitely stop in again next time we are up that way!

The server was friendly, they were busy, the food took a hot minute to come out but was really good when it hit the table. Cute spot, lots of character inside, we will definitely be back!

My husband and I stopped on our way through for dinner. I've only eaten here once, but the service and food were excellent! Everyone was so kind and friendly and truly cared about my food allergies. The only downfall is that I don't have one of these restaurants back home. I will definitely eat there again! My husband and I talk about our experience often and look forward to returning.

We were here at opening. I suspect the oven was not up to temperature as it took quite a while for the pizzas to come out. The value of the toppings was not that great. You didn't really get much at all for the price. The pizza tasted fine but as missing that "je ne sais qua" of the super hot oven. The room was rustic, and the smell of burning wood intoxicating. If heading to Boston again, I would stop here.

Delicious food!!! Met up halfway with a friend and decided to come here for dinner. We both got our own personal pizza, I got cheese and she got the margherita. My cheese pizza was gone quick! It was so good. The place was small on the inside but had a lot of tables to sit at. Theres about 3 spots infront of the building next door and a parking lot around back. We went around 6 pm and it was on the light side for crowd, which suprised me. Service was just ok. Friendly enough. It wasnt that expensive too just for 2 people at a woodfire type place! I would definitely go back for the food!

Woodfire Kitchen is a bit far from Baltimore, but it's worth the trip. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The weather was chilly so we sat inside. Our server came by promptly with menus, and she took our drink orders. Drinks arrived promptly. After a reasonable time, she returned to take our dinner orders. We both ordered burgers. They were prepared as ordered, and they were delicious. The fries were also delicious. We skipped dessert, but we've had dessert here in the past. The ice cream was amazing. It comes from the Prigel family dairy. I highly recommend the Woodfire Kitchen. This is a great place to eat.

I went with a co-worker as I had not heard of this restaurant, all I can say is WOW! The entire experience was amazing. Will definitely be going back so my hubby can experience it.

Met my daughter here for dinner as it's a halfway point for both of us. It was my first time, but by the time we finished, we agreed to make it our regular meeting spot. I enjoyed the atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient.

This place is great. We moved to Sparks, MD several years ago and have been super happy with this restaurant in Hereford every time we've gone. Family friendly, food is always delicious, staff is always friendly. Can't praise Woodfire enough. Try the Surprise Me burger. Whoever is making them back there does a great job!

We looked for a good place to stop for dinner on our way to Baltimore and found this gem. It was busy, and we didn’t have reservations. We were told 20-30 minutes for a table. The wait was fine, we had no schedule to keep. Just when it didn’t seem like 30 minutes was going to happen, the owner tosses some pizzas in the brick oven. While they were cooking he darts outside and grabs a table off the patio. He set that table right up and we were seated in no time. He put us right near him so we could converse while he was baking pizzas, and the warmth of the oven was nice. Great pizza, great experience. You can tell by his work ethic and leadership skills that everyone working there wants to work there. A true testament to great owner/operator. We will be back!

Tried this place for the first time and it was delicious! We originally came for pizza but then we were drawn to the burgers. I don't eat meat so I substituted the patty for an impossible patty. I'm used to this type of burger so I was expecting a thin, not seasoned burger that relies on the sauce for flavor. Well it seemed as if they mix their own spices in the "meat" and form their own thick patties! It was delicious! Just because some people don't eat meat doesn't mean we want the flavor profile of a kids menu frozen pizza. The extra step was definitely appreciated! My husband had the Roseda farm beef burger and he said that was a damn good burger. The fries however were too crispy for my liking but we will definitely be back to try the pizza soon.

The food is always great. However, every time I get fries they're often over fried meaning they need to change the oil in their fryer more often. Excellent service always.

I found this place on a recent trip. Wow! Awesome food. I had pizza and sausage gumbo. Pizza was perfect. Crisp and light. Gumbo was so tasty. Quaint little place . Must stop if in the Parkton area!

Tried to ask them if they would deliver to my kids birthday party, on the phone. Lady hung up mid conversation. Disappointed. Was looking forward to experiencing all the great reviews they have. It is such an interesting place to eat Best restaurant fire grilled pizza I've ever had.

I’m from NYC and let me tell you… this pizza is up there with the top places back home. By far the best pizza in town. Everything else I’ve tried is also absolutely delicious. The acorn squash fritters were one of the greatest things I’ve ever eaten in my life. Sometimes I dream about them. Service is also amazing and it’s overall an 11/10. Will definitely be coming back very soon!

Dining room is small and noisy. Server may have been new, but seemed easily confused and forgetful. Food was okay.

Great pizza in this hidden gem. Also an ideal spot to watch 4th of July fireworks launched from the high school. People are great and we bring every out-of-towner thru here as they never fail to impress.

First time here friday night and the food was amazing! Definitely get the fig and brie pizza. Also the mussels were fantastic. Even the chicken tenders had a more fresh taste than regular frozen tenders for a kids meal. Highly recommend!

Stopped here out of necessity as we passed through but will be back intentionally- a charming atmosphere, hospitable and attentive staff and the food- wow! they know how to use that wood fire kitchen. I totally underestimated this place until I saw the menu, inventive and thoughtfully crafted menu items the burgers were on point and I love that it’s all farm to table, and seriously- think about where you are and do yourself a favor, let them show off what they do best, make em use that wood fire oven. So delicious.

Great pizza, good burgers fresh seafood, great atmosphere

This place never fails to please! The staff and service are outstanding, food is excellent and the menu is varied. Today my husband and I enjoyed the daily fritters (sweet potato, SO good!) and a sausage/fig/brie pizza. Some tables are a teensy bit close together but everyone is good-natured about it. Noise level is very acceptable given the size of the crowd that gathers because this really is a great place to eat.

I’ve had dine in and take out from woodfire and the experience has been the same. Good food, good service. My family enjoys their pizzas and really like the “surprise me burger” always fresh ingredients and filling.

The service and staff were excellent and the atmosphere here is pleasant for a basic pizza place. However, the pizza gets mixed reviews. My wife, who got a goat cheese pie loved hers. I'm no pizza pushover and while pretty tasty thanks to the wood fire oven, the amount of toppings was very disappointing. They were almost non-existent. Much of the outside crust, particularly because there was so much of it, was burned which wasn't very appealing. My expectations for a $17 personal pizza were higher.

We love this place. The owner and staff are inviting and super friendly. Only ever had the pizza as its so good I don’t want to try anything else. Very affordable and worth our 40 minute drive. My custom pizza is Diablo sauce, pepperoni, and bacon. Not spicy, very flavorful.

Excellent food & wait staff! We were just passing through but this gives me a reason to come back to Parkton! Would highly recommend the Gunpowder Pizza, cooked perfectly 10/10! Not overly Greasy like most pizza places. My family of 3 ate for $41! Great environment, we will be back!

This restaurant is always the go to spot if me and my friends are meeting up in the area, the food in general and especially the wood burning pizza is amazing, the workers are always nice and that along with the pretty wood cabin aesthetic contributes to the homey and calm atmosphere of the place, also as a side note one day I was there with my friends I saw a truck outside Delivery fresh dough, and it’s so easy to just use frozen dough but they get it fresh and im pretty sure they don’t even mention the dough is fresh in the menu so I’d highly recommend this establishment great food great people and im happy they survived Covid.

Ordered on the phone and person was short then hung up. Ordered shrimp rice bowl and was so small in size, had to steal a piece of pizza from friend. Expensive for what it was. Flavor in food was average good. Not great not bad. Ordered out, so can't rate atmosphere. I'm here all week and won't go back.

I love Woodfire! Their food is deliicious and the staff is so kind and accomodating. I have been here 4 times and each time, the food is fresh. The pizzas are cooked in a woodfire oven. A very cute restaurant and will definitely be back.

The Angus burgers are amazing, the crab dip not so much, mostly cheese. The restaurant is kind of run down not in its prime, very old county look.

On our way out of state and happened across this little GEM of a place! The white pizza is absolutely delicious and my kids loved their kids pizzas. Hubby's burger was good but he said the meat could use some seasoning. Service was impeccable! It is BYOB but there is a little liquor store down the street. Love this place!

Hands down some of the best wood fire pizza you're going to find.

Went in at 2pm on a tuesday. There was only 1 other table sitting and eating. Ordered the firey burger medium with fries. The burger was overcooked about well done, it was dry, and it was also bland. The fries were cold. Pretty disappointing after all the good reviews I read. The girls working the front were polite when I ordered, but never asked how my meal was. I ate a few bites and left. Also kind of strange when a sit down place where Burgers and Fries are a large part of the menu only has individual ketchup packets, not squeeze bottles. The menu looked really good however the execution left a lot to be desired. Also, it was BYOB which was disappointing.

Stopped in for two pizzas after a like bike ride yummy and friendly service will be back soon for more pizza I got the white cheese and the bacon chicken ranch this crust made to perfection 🤌😘
