This place is a nightmare. Lets start with just finding it, if you have never heard of this place you would never know its there unless you were looking for it. There is nothing inviting about the front of the building either. The bar staff is snarky, rude and arrogant. The kitchen staff seem burnt out, tired, stressed and overworked which melts over into their sweaty interactions with customers who they have to serve the food to (which seems odd as the bartenders seem to stand around doing nothing except being absolute snobs, and mostly drunk, and I've never been to a place where the kitchen staff serves the food). On to the food: the food is lackluster and unoriginal, it all tastes like it comes out of a box or can and is way too expensive for how boring it is. And the beer isn't even worth discussing. In conclusion, bad environment. Bad food. Overworked kitchen staff and overpaid bartenders. If I could leave a negative star review I would. EDIT: Its a great place to park your trailer, to go to better places. RESPONSE TO OWNER: The unprofessional response from the owner is all I needed to see to cement this a as a bad place to go. Assuming somone is a violent customer because you have no record of someone with my name being there (res wasnt under my name or card) is very unprofessional. And from the looks of things the owners never take kindly to negative reviews immediately attacking the person instead of asking how they can improve. Seems like the owners need to be humbled a little. Also, if there is people throwing glasses at bartenders it seems you are bringy in a trashy crowd and I think I'll avoid that with my family. Best of luck. UPDATE 2.0: Not sure who Bill is and what he has to do with my review but this place just keeps getting worse. Went back to give it a second shot and the service was exponentially worse I have little else to add to this, except do not go here, and don't leave a negative review they will belittle you and accuse you of being someone you are not! Also hearing your staff talk about how poorly they are paid and how little this place makes during the winter doesn't surprise me one bit.

Visited Woodland Farm Brewery via Harvest Host. Great brewery with a wide selection of beer and plenty of food to choose from. Lots of room for your RV. Staff was friendly and very welcoming. Beer was great as was the stuffed pretzel we enjoyed. Dog friendly establishment with lots of outdoor and indoor seating available. Thank you for the beer, food, the treat you provided for our dog and the hospitality!

It's hard to find a brewery that brews these styles of beers, and they are worth checking out. Don't let the drive deter you, I drive 50 minutes and would drive twice that or more for these beers, and the tasty food.

A great place to escape and chill. Beer selection is top notch. Atmosphere is warm and inviting. And Thursday night trivia is always a great time!

Woodland is one of our regular places, and we love the food and beer. The tot waffle & Trenton burger is my fave 🙌🏻

The beer is ok but very expensive. Not much of a taste difference between beer options. The food is lackluster with a high price tag served by unmotivated staff. The owner was cool but customers shouldn't see the owner drinking. It's fine to have a drink for advertisment but having a few too many isn't a good look. The staff at the bar were not idle for bartenders. Bartending entitles a personality in order for customers to feel at home at a place they've never been. They claim that they portion out drinks but this isn't true. I watched them under pour and then they claimed they didn't. There was no interior theme and the atmosphere felt more like a food court in a gas station or mall rather than a defined spot. They should have more advertising for their brews. They can start by educating the bartenders on the process of each brew as a form of advertising. Bathrooms were fine, but the atmosphere needs adjustment both in the staff and the design.

Awesome place to come grab a beer and a bite. Awesome and knowledgeable staff. If I could give it 6 stars I would.

I’m sad to write this review as when they opened they were serving awesome food great beer and a great atmosphere but as of late I’ve been treated rudely and my food has come out soggy. I’m sorry but flatbread should not be soggy ever!

Incredible selection of barrel aged big boys and excellent crushable lagers! Food and service are always on point. When I head out to Utica for work this is my first stop! Try the tot waffles you will not be dissapointed!

I've been here more than once and each time I enjoyed amazingly good beer and received great service!

I went and saw a comedy show here last night and everything was excellent! I had a bourbon that was so smooth, with a very good woodtoberfest and some pulled pork nachos. All of it was excellent, the space is great, the service was great, plenty of parking space and merch available too! The comedy show was excellent and intimate. If you get a chance to see a speaker, comedian or band at this location you're going to really feel like a part of it.

Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Cool aesthetic, amazing beer selection all brewed locally. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

The bartenders are awesome! You have to get the tot waffles! My favorite is always the Mediterranean grilled cheese. Woodland makes the easiest drinking lagers and their barrel-aged beers are killer!

This place was fantastic!!! Food was outstanding, staff/service was great!!! Don’t get me started on beer, 10/10 would recommend! Great place for meeting up with old friends and throwing a few back. Also the merchandise is always super cool and I can’t leave without adding to my collection!

WFB is a staple in the Ava/Utica area and has only gotten better over the years of visiting. The taproom is inviting and the outdoor space is fantastic in the warmer months. The food is fresh and delicious and the beer is the best in central NY and maybe the best in the entire state! The local ingredients used make this a special place that our family will keep returning to for years to come!

Beer is fantastic and we hit a live band night. Beer flights are the way to go.

THE GOOD: The food was good. I ordered a wrap and chips. They allow dogs in which is cool, and they had a live band. THE BAD: The chairs and stools are very uncomfortable. It was also very warm inside and uncomfortable. Air conditioning would have helped. THE UGLY: The pretentious, condescending, and obnoxious beer snobs. I asked if they have anything that tastes like Labatt's Blue, as I like a pilsner. The guy replied, "We have nothing that tastes like Labatt's Blue. We have real beers here!" I then ordered something "light" which tasted like a regular beer with a small amount of cigarette ashes in it. The guy at the counter might want to realize a lot of people don't like craft beers as they are too hoppy or just taste bad. Will I go back? Probably not. There are many places in Utica that have good food without the snobbery.

Will definitely go back to try more beer, cider, whisky and food.

Traveling from Ohio to Maine. We were staying in a town close by and discovered this gem. Mike and Jason were great. The food was amazing.

Super friendly brewery with tons of outdoor seating, great beers, and great food. Grabbed a couple beers and a flatbread and sat outside with our dogs (they also told us they're allowed at the bar inside). Will be back!

Always a good time and good beers at Woodland. Rustic, welcoming atmosphere. Friendly staff. Wide variety of beers on tap that offers something for everyone; including a cider, some wines, and a few cocktail offerings. Decent sized menu for food to go with your drinks. One of the best barrel programs in the area for those that like barrel aged beer.

Jason is the man! Super fun to talk to, knowledgeable and hospitable. The food is top notch- best brewery food we’ve had. Try the Principia and Bussin Bussin- awesome. The merch is great quality, finished our Christmas shopping here with some awesome flannels and tees.

Great atmosphere - comfortable, clean, courteous. Food was fast and delicious. Beer was okay overall but they seem to rotate things so will keep trying to see if it gets better. Nice outdoor space although weather hasn’t been perfect for that.

We visited as part of the Harvest Host program. Our beers were delicious. We had the Treton Burger andvthe cheese tray. Both hit the spot. Staff very nice.

We were given a $50 gift card by some very good friends,, and we had never heard of this place before! Great beer and great food! I had an Apple Brandy Barrel Aged Beer (12%/24 proof! Woohoo!), my wife had a Cabernet, and we split an order of Nachos. The service was quick and friendly. The beer was AMAZING, and the Nachos were great. My wife hates dark beers, but she tasted mine, and liked it! We will definitely be back! Also, we ordered a can of Hulbert House Lager, and they pour the tap beer into this huge can, and then use a machine to put the top on! 🥰

Nice little place with friendly staff, good beer offerings and tasty food. It was great for us as the kids got to play in the grass and the adults were able to enjoy the live music. The cranberry sour was fantastic.
