Forgot how much I really enjoy this place! Came here for a midday beer with my trainer. Nice selection of European beers, the brats were excellent and the bread was extremely fresh. I love the bar / Den area. Quaint and also playing good music.

This is the best place in SoCal for beer, sausage, and sports. And it is a great place to bring your crew or coworkers.

The set up of the place looked awesome. I'm a vegetarian and having a vegan option wasn't something I expected, when my boyfriend suggested going. The vegan Italian sausage was absolutely delicious. He, a meat eater, loved his food as well. Everyone was super personable. Loved it

The food is superb. Yet, only 3 stars... The beer options, that should accompany such food, are very one sided, I tried hard. If you like sweet and flavored beers it might be fine for you. German classics are absent, despite the appearance.

I recently visited Wursthaus with high hopes for quick service. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but satisfying. From the moment I stepped in, it was clear that the Cashier girl (Thalia) wasn’t a priority at this establishment. The hot dog I ordered was lukewarm at best and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The bun was stale, and the toppings were missing thrown on with no care or attention to detail. It was just an overpriced sausage. To make matters worse, when I politely brought up my dissatisfaction with the cashier AND MANAGER (short guy with glasses), they brushed me off with a dismissive attitude, showing no interest in resolving the issue and voided my transaction. Overall, my visit to wursthaus was a pretty disappointment. From the lack of customer service to the mediocre food quality, it's clear that this establishment has a long way to go before they can consider themselves reputable. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a satisfying meal and decent service.

My son and I ate at this restaurant for the first time today, and despite being very busy, the service was excellent. The server and host answered all of our questions. We both have food allergies and they were very accommodating. Even though we were not able to eat the bread and cheese, we still had a very satisfying meal with just bratwurst and fries. Will definitely return. Price is similar to other restaurants in the area.

Recommend getting drunken fries and the plate with your choice of 3 different brawts. Beer selection is large. I love their winter seasonals, my favorite. Seating is first come. However, inside seating is probably the best experience. Has clean restrooms, sharable condiments, great music, great service. Quality has absolutely stayed up for years now.

Beer and brats, yes please I’ll give that a try! Good decision, easy decision, great decision; like shooting zombies or doubling down on 11. Fancy andouille was delicious, and I walked out with some raw, andouille, spicy polish and polish. Chamay fan? They got it. Like more than one, you probably don’t even know all of them. Bernardus, Delerium, awesome bar and laid back space, you come and eat here 10/10 would recommend don’t drink and drive.

Had the Drunken Fries with Rattlesnake and Rabbit Sausage and it was absolutely delicious 😋 definitely recommend coming here for a beer and food in DTSA. Or if you are walking from another bar and need something to soak up your drinks, this is a place to do it with good eats. Service was a touch slow, but it could've been due to low staff or it being busy for trivia night. And they do cook the food fresh upon order (they had a sign at the register) so it is piping hot (which my food was 👌🏻). I cannot argue with any of that

Ehhh… the beer was good. Had the lunch special bratwurst. Bread was good on the sandwich. But the brat is so small, half the sandwich is just bread in each bite. The casing on the brat was hard and unpleasant and the brat itself was red (not white) and not so tender, juicy or enjoyable. The fries were not crisp (total waste on these). The toppings were good for the brat. Wish they had the dark brown sweet mustard from Germany. Good to try. No need to come back. I was the first customer of the day and the food took 25 min to come out. Wow. Enjoyed the beer during that time tho. Oh, they were 100% out of pickles too which sucked. Those are usually free with your order so it was a major bummer they couldn’t keep them in stock.

Our son found this place and suggested we go sometime and we were so happy we did!! The food was so delicious! Cooked to perfection! We got a variety of sausages, Belgian fries, and German Pretzels with cheese. Sausages were cooked perfectly with a crisp bite to the skin and a juicy, flavorful inside. So much good food!! The pretzels and pretzel buns are SOO good too! The selection of beers is amazing! I like hard cider personally and they had a great cranberry hard cider on draft. It was delicious as well! We cannot wait to go back! They have many booths, and a looooong, long table to sit at. You order when you first enter, and sit down. They bring you your food at the table you choose to sit at. Friendly service from the start to the end!

Went for the free salsa dancing lessons and the social dancing afterwards. Nice thing to do of looking for something free and fun at the dance time. It’s hold the first Saturday of the month (as of today tho, lol 2023/2024) hopefully it will keep happening cause it’s really nice to have something to do on a Saturday night and especially if it’s free! Nice friendly crowd and any level dancers attend, from totally beginners to intermediate, obviously the advance don’t attend this kind of events (would be awesome if they would!) Any ways, definitely recommended when nothing else or better to do any first Saturday of the month.

happy Hour was 8pm-close! Great beer, as shown was the happy hour beer. Crazy German beer selection. We got the works, 3 sausage sampler, and the loaded fries. So amazing, fresh, grilled to perfection and the fries so perfect. All this food for 55$ including tip. Try the Nuremberg! It’s veal, and almost like a breakfast sausage. The Wagyu is always amazing! The fries have a great sauce with grilled onions! Great German style date night! Oh and the bread is so soft and crispy on the outside. Idk how they do it!

Choose the sausage that best represents you ... personally, I'd recommend The Hung but I'm more of a bratwurst guy.

My fiance has been coming to this place for years and I can see why. The food and drinks are delicious and unique. They have such a wide array of beers and ciders on tap, you are bound to find something perfect. I have been able to try so many beers I'd never heard of. The atmosphere of this bar is also perfect for a friendly catch up. I did not see any TVs, so don't come to watch the game. Overall a must visit in Santa Ana!

Brats were great but fries were not crispy. Ba Arian pretzel was great. Don't know what happened to the AC but the fans were not enough to keep it cool. Not enough staff.

This is a must do when you are in Santa Ana. My kids love going to the Frida next door and heading to Wursthaus after for a link and fries. They have such a great variety of varies sausages (everything from your standard link to hot, chicken and exotic like alligator). My daughter said it best, the snap on the sausage is magical. You have a choice of buns and toppings (favorites are grilled onions and jalapenos). The fries are crispy and delicious and come with a choice of dipping sauces. My favorite is the fresh, handmade pretzel, it is huge and super tasty. Option side of cheese sauce available as well but I think it is good plain. The seating area in the back is dark but cool in a mysterious way. There is a set of tables in between the booths along the wall and the beer bar on the opposite side. Plenty of seating even on super busy nights (and trust me even late it gets busy). We ordered around 10:30PM last Saturday and it was pretty packed still. We ordered food to go and we had everything and were back on the road home in less than 15 minutes. Great place with some pretty unique eats. We went around 5:30pm on a Thursday and there was not much of a line and easy to find seats. I ordered the sampler which I picked bison, kangaroo, and the nurnberger. I also ordered a side pretzel with cheese and wow that was the best and softest pretzel I’ve had in years!
