DONOT PLAN TO GO HERE , THEY ARE ALWAYS CLOSED RANDOMLY WITH NO UPDATES. BARELY ANSWER THE PHONE TO PLACE ORDERS , ALWAYS OUT OF SOMETHING. YOUR GOING 20 MINUTES IN LINE FOR A 7$ PIE !! they are good but service , & customer service TRASHHHHH

Yesterday, my niece, Natalie brought me to “Yam Good Pies”. Bc of the virus, there’s a nice walk up window and the customer wears a mask… She told me I was in for a TREAT! Was she ever right! I have been staying with Natalie & her husband, Kendrick from September 2, until September 10. I live in Hammond, Hurricane Ida really destroyed a lot in this area. We finally got power yesterday, thanks to the tireless efforts from Entergy & many States that came to help. I have been treated like royalty and in my 9 day stay have probably gained 10 pounds. I was sent home with a lemon, a sweet potato, a custard & an apple pie, last evening. There isn’t a crumb left, I ate every last bite by myself. I only wish I had ordered some of her “Sweet Tea Cakes” I’m sure those would not have made it through the day either!

Yam Country Pies has the BEST pie turnovers ever!!!! I've ordered a few tarts and turnovers and I've ordered MANY MANY tarts and turnover. Every tart and turnover was delicious from the first bite to the last bite. And the staff was awesome!!!! I make the 2 hour drive just for Yam Country Pies!!! Looking forward to going back again this week.

I Love these Pies! They are just as good as my Mother's and that speak volumes! Whenever I come to Opelousas from Texas IF my Mother hasn't made any Pies, I get some of Mrs. Hertzock Pies for my kids and myself! 😋😋
