Tikka Taco - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

I ordered from this business on 12/20/23 through their online system. The order was confirmed but they appear to be closed. I have called a few times and it goes straight to voicemail, which I left. And even drove by the business a few times and they are not open. I thought maybe they were closed into the new year but I don't believe this to be the case. Their online ordering is still open so avoid them.

If you're looking for flavor, you've come to the right place. They do excellent tacos and they are one of a kind.

Horrible experience. Husband went in and ordered for us. Butter chicken didn't come with any sides (apparently) but the person taking the orders asked if we wanted everything with it and so my husband said yes. Naan was added on and so was rice, they charged us an additional $10... for a slice of bread and small side of plain jasmine rice... really??? The biria taco tasted like curry. The butter chicken was fair at best. The meal cost us over $50 and we were both completely disappointed. 4 minutes after my husband ordered (he was the only customer in the place) the same guy that took our order came out from the back and asked my husband what he wanted as if my husband hadn't just ordered from him. We moved in around the corner a few months ago and had been excited to try the place but it was closed for a couple of months and now I think it might be under new (and worse) management based on the previous reviews that made us want to try it.

The food was absolutely amazing and server was very kind and professional. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is there were some descrepancies between the menu and what we got/were charged. Another oddity was that while it was full service, we were told to help ourselves to the plasticware on a table by the register. Chicken Karhai and Butter Chicken both said they came with rice but we were both charged $2.50 for rice. Quesadillas say cheese and choice of protein but had lettuce, tomatoes and onions on it. I loved the quesadillas but my daughter, who ordered it doesn't like tomatoes or onions and there was no way to remove them. Did I mention I loved them, though? Both chicken dishes were also fantastic! I spoke with our server about the descrepancies and was told they are having new menus printed. He sincerely apologized and gave us dessert to go. We will def be going back!

Spouse brought home takeout from here. There was apparently only one person there. We got 2 dishes that should total around $28 but he charged her $37. Was adamant he charged correctly even when confronted with the price on the menu. The food itself is just average north Indian food. Nothing special. Would never come here again...

Not worth what you get. 45 min n food cold n inedible. No sides or sauces. This was 50 plus tip

Awesome chicken tikka masala and the chicken 65 was great with a little kick. Wonderful place to eat since moving here.

My wife and I were in the neighborhood and found this place by accident few months ago. Met all the owners, Sam, Hussain and now Aziz, good people, great service. They have the best food in Pittsburgh area. It's about an hour drive for us but totally worth it.

Good food with excellent hosts. We ordered 2 dishes per the owners recommendation and they both were good. The butter chicken melt was huge and comes with fries. Mild on heat but heavy on butter and cheese. Kids like it. The chicken 65 was quite good and I would recommend it if you like spicy food. Overall, I’ll go back again to try more things.

We stopped by for dinner because we were driving through the area, and the name sounded interesting. Nice comfortable dining area and lots of parking. The menu was a little overwhelming with so many options. We decided on the butter chicken melt with fries and the paneer karahi. The paneer karahi was very tasty with a generous portion. But the butter chicken melt was absolutely delicious! Nice thick buttered bread with tons of chicken and cheese inside, and a side of piping hot fries. We really enjoyed this unique twist on a classic dish! The prices were reasonable and the portions were good, we left fully satisfied and even took the 1/4 container of remaining gravy and lots of rice home with us. One thing I would like to see change is that I wasn’t a fan of the takeout boxes and plastic cutlery for dine-in eating. This kind of took away from our experience and it was definitely difficult to dish out the food on our plates with the small spoons. It also seemed a bit wasteful for them to throw out all those single-use items afterwards. Though don’t get me wrong, I can completely understand that they are just starting out and trying to iron out all the details! We were very happy with this unique restaurant and would love to come again, especially for the butter chicken melt! Yum!!!

We stopped in for lunch to try something different from the usual and were not disappointed. Had the butter chicken melt, delicious! It hit the perfect balance of spice and buttery goodness. We'll definitely be going back; now I want to try their other offerings from their diverse menu.

We ordered the beef burrito, butter chicken melt, chili chicken, veg jalfrezi, paneer mutter, veg biriyani and garlic naan. The beef burrito was loaded with lean ground beef rolled in a grilled house-made 12” flour tortilla served with a green salsa and sour cream on the side. Interestingly, the long-grain rice appeared to be pressed and distributed at a 1/4” thickness across the interior of the tortilla…this thing is huge and eats more like a meat pie. The description indicated beans, lettuce, tomato and cheese but alas, although I ordered the burrito “with everything,” I had to ask for these to be added once received. Lettuce, tomato and cheese were an afterthought and rightly so as their presence contributed little to the experience. But surprisingly, the beans turned out to be nicely-spiced chick peas which were a delightful addition to the overall flavor of the dish. I’m left wondering if the burrito would be the same if I ordered it again? The butter chicken melt was served with really crispy-delicious hot french fries but the sandwich although massive, was filled with what appeared to be a homogenous raft of spicy red-colored meat which did not begin to approximate my previous experience of the original Butter chicken dish. Lacking in chicken-chunk consistency and the customary sweet “buttery” flavor. It would be better to call it a spicy chopped Indian-style barbecue sandwich…a very large portion, but not at all what was expected. I made the best of the Chili chicken by chopping it into small pieces and adding it to the biriyani. The spices were pleasant, but the consistency of the white meat chicken was tough, dry and above all seemed to be reheated. Unfortunately, the same lack of freshness was to be found in the vegetable dishes. Served marginally warm in togo containers (although we ordered and dined in), my bf was happy enough with the flavors to try Tikka Taco (as a call in order) another time. Though we will ask for a lower level of spice and forgo the somewhat hardened garlic naan in lieu of our own next time. The huge serving of veg biriyani saved the day in terms of freshness, flavor and quantity. I am sorry to report that without this, the Chili chicken would have gone uneaten. Lastly I must comment on the reviews which as of this writing, seem to extend over ten years ago. I’m not aware of a connection between Sciullo’s 910 and Tikka Taco. Perhaps there is one that will I’m not knowledgeable about, but these older reviews seem to be about the restaurant previously located in this space.

Excellent food and excellent service. The owner said they opened a couple days ago. Loved my choice today and look forward to trying everything on their menu eventually. Great fusion flavors right here. Highly recommend!

This place truly has something for everything! If you're in the mood for Mexican, Indian, or even American food (like some sandwiches), you can find all of that here. It's really unique in that respect. I stuck to the Indian menu and ordered channa masala and gulab jamun. The portion for the channa masala is decent. Not too big or too small. I must have to say, though, that very little rice came with the masala. The masala itself was quite spicy despite me leaving a note for it to be mildly spiced. The actual flavor was pretty good though, and it had lots of chickpeas. The gulab jamun was surprisingly very good. Some of the best gulab jamun I have had in a really long time. They were soaked really well and had a nice coconut topping as well. It was a fair portion for the price, too. I'd definitely recommend trying them. Overall, this is a great concept and a nice restaurant. The Indian menu is surprisingly good, although I can't say anything about the Mexican food. Would recommend the gulab jamun, but curries might be a little spicy.

The food is truly authentic, and the service is very casual and friendly. Roman, the young server was funny and delightful, and the cook was great, and informative and willing to explain every dish. The food was amazing! The facility itself is not fancy or glamorous, so if that's your thing don't bother, but if you like good, authentic Mediterranean food, it's a must stop!

Had an absolutely wonderful experience! The food was AMAZING! The owner, Husein, personally came out & welcomed us and checked in with us afterwards! Our server Roman had an awesome personality and really helped us select great dishes! Hidden gem- can’t wait to go back!

We have been here 3 times, the service and food is always amazing! The staff is very friendly. The butter chicken is so delicious that I have had it each time. My husband always orders something different, each dish and appetizer have been really good.

6/1/23 Update: I already loved this place, but they went above and beyond tonight. Our grubhub driver forgot my Mango Lassi - which I was having a hardcore pregnancy craving for. This gentleman called me to arrange getting it to me and then personally drove it over within minutes. He wouldn’t even take a tip! I wish I could remember his name (sorry - hormones)! Seriously, I adore this place and their staff. The best!!! ———— Hubs and I ordered delivery from Tikki Taco tonight through grubhub. Everything was amazing. Hubs got the gyro and loved it. We both ate wayyy too much naan because it was so good. And I got the palak chicken, butter and cream kabob, and butter paneer - all of it was absolutely fantastic. Portions are excellent. We intentionally ordered a lot to try several things and I’m looking forward to the leftovers. This may be our new Friday night go-to.

So glad we got some really good food in the neighborhood. The service was great and the food even better. Our party of 8 ordered a variety of dishes and everyone had leftovers. I love the burrito bowl with butter chicken. The best of both Indian and Mexican food! There are great options to go spicy or mild. Bring your friends, family, girlfriend, and mom to enjoy a meal made from the heart. Hope this brings more variety to the community.

The food and service were absolutely amazing. I didn't realize they serve Mexican, Indian and American food until we got there. We had BONE IN WINGS IN INDIAN GARLIC SAUCE for an appetizer, an American hamburger and fries, Palak Chicken and a Mango Lassi! Absolutely amazing food, everything was so fresh!

The food was very good. We went with a large group (12), so it took a while for the food. But they make all of their meats fresh to order, so that is why. In my opinion the food was well worth the wait! I highly recommend trying this place for yourself. I'll be back!

As well as amazing service and hospitality, the food was top notch. It was delicious and made fresh as soon as you ordered it. Another amazing quality is the variety of the menu. If you wanted Mexican, you could get Mexican, if you wanted Indian, you could get Indian, if you simply wanted a burger they have that too. Overall a 10/10 experience, please try this place if you are looking for delicious authentic Indian cuisine.

The best fusion food. Far better than the ones I have tried in NY and NJ !!
