It was okay. I had the turkey breast. Super salty. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant. The gravy super salty. The pie was runny! I was so disappointed!

I really wish I would have bought some gummies. I can't seem to find their brand anywhere. I love gummies. I missed my opportunity to buy buy the holy Grail of gummies

Very authentic Amish restaurant. Be prepared this restaurant doesn't have alcohol beverages. They offer coke products, iced tea, milk, coffee, and tea. They have very limited appetizers, maybe 3 and a few salads. Their main dishes are very large and most people take half to go. We had a few different main dishes options to try: the chicken liver with mashed potatoes were awesome; roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy was very juicy and delicious. Their famous fried chicken was very dry we couldn't eat it much. They have lots of pies, so do not make our mistakes and keep some space for desserts. We took the pie flight option that included 3 mini pie cups. My favorite was banana cream. Next time, I will be prepared to have as many desserts as I can.

Food was delicious. Had the shepherds pie with a side of mashed potatoes. The gravy is phenomenal! They were out of mac n cheese & meatloaf. I took a piece of pumpkin cream pie home and it was amazing.

The food was hot, and fast but most importantly delicious.

The customer service was awesome. Our order was at the table in minutes. Parking lot is small, along with the restaurant. Howe we, it gives an at home feel with a home cooked meal. If you’re in this area you have to stop by and grab a LARGE bite. These portions are for the taking. For a day trip it’s worth the drive.

Always a great meal at a great price! Staff are always friendly and helpful. They have amazing desserts, too!

This was my first time at Yoder's, I have always gone to the other place. Loved the chicken, stuffing, green beans, bread and sweet iced tea. Our waitress's were excellent and very accommodating. We came for lunch and I decided to get the 4 piece chicken dinner so I could take 2 pieces home to hubby. Even though they do not have a buffet that was ok because they give you big portions, enough for left overs and less food waste.

Food is great as always, as was the service in the restaurant. Was sad to see their open-air, fresh produce market doesn't exist anymore. Their bakery still carries delicious items, but there are way fewer options of treats than there used to be.

This was an unplanned dinner as we happened to be in Sarasota late one night watching a movie. It got out a little before 7, and we arrived an hour before they closed. The staff were wonderful and accommodating; we were seated, and our orders were taken with no mention of how close it was to closing time. The place was busy when we arrived, but we were seated immediately. Our waitress stopped by promptly, took our orders, and the food arrived pretty quickly. She also brought over bread with regular and apple butter while we waited. The food was so good! When you are on vacation, sometimes you just crave a home-cooked meal. It was pot roast special night, and we also ordered chicken tenders with cheesy grits and noodles plus extra sides of stuffing and cinnamon apples. The chicken tasted like it was made in-house, and the grits were delicious. And the pot roast - absolutely amazing, exactly the home cooking we were looking for. Hubby loved his stuffing, and I couldn't stop eating the apples (like apple pie without the crust). Absolutely recommend stopping here if you are in the area. Great price for a ton of yummy food and great service.

2nd time there, had meatloaf last time, 5 stars. Tried their fried chicken described as juicy, hardly, just as dry as derdutchman . Obviously these folks don't know how to make chicken fried under high pressure. Go to Winn Dixie, no kidding. Also way too much butter flavor on the corn and green beans. Very disappointed

Update 8.22.24- Once again an AMAZING experience! This place has the most delicious home cooked food you could ever eat 😋 Whenever we are in the area we will always eat here! Have been here a few times and ALWAYS delicious! Unfortunately it does get busy as it's not a very big place but it's worth the wait if you have time.

Had to get my favorite smoked bbq chicken! One of their daily specials. I was in the area and had to get an early lunch as I do not live nearby. Also had to do my shopping at the market while I wanted for my food to be prepared for my to go order. Recommend: carrot salad, chop pb pie, home wheat made bread, home made pickles, orange cranberry & glorious morning muffins, and their apple butter!

Yoders is a go to favorite when in Sarasota. Food is always good. Portions are huge. Service is always great.

Our server must of been having a hard day. She wasn't attentive and kept forgetting things that were ordered. I got turkey dinner and it was extremely salty. My granddaughter got the chicken strips and french fries and loved it.

This is a nice local restaurant that provides comfort food. Fried chicken and country fried steak with mash potatoes and veggies type of comfort food. Well prepared and served with a smile. Even better, top it off with some of the best pies in the state, and you have a very fine culinary experience.

I loved the people and the food, but what I loved most is that they were feeding those that their homes flooded during Hurricane Debby! God bless!

Food is good. Friendly service. Decent portions. I thought $8 for a slice of pie was a little high. Other prices not too bad considering everything is expensive nowadays.

We have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally did and it was hit and miss. The savory food was good, bbq pork was amazing, stuffing and gravy were great. The bread they give you is odd and not my favorite. The cheese grits were very cream cheese heavy and I did not care for them. The Mac and cheese takes like it’s microwaved. The fried chicken was small, barely any meat for $16. The pies were the big let down. My husband liked his cherry pie I however paid $10 for a pie sampler and disliked all 3. I got the banana, strawberry and peanut butter. The strawberry is ok and tart but not a cream pie…. The other two were like tapioca pudding, very odd and not pie like. $80 for two people for lunch. Both of the stores were closed which was a bummer.

This will always be a favor when I visit. I don’t ever have anything bad to say it was my husband’s first time to Yoders when we came down for vacation and he absolutely loved the cheesecake so much he bought a whole pie.

Our home flooded from Hurricane Debby, and the Yoders restaurant and community offered free food to those affected. This was the first hot meal we had had since the storm, thank you so much to the restaurant and team working. This is a great establishment with wonderful compassionate employees and great food!

You should know that this restaurant is no longer an Amish restaurant! He was sold. So the dishes are no longer the Amish quality dishes of the past with the know-how and care in choosing products and recipes. We noticed the difference at the first bite of the fork unfortunately! We ordered a meatloaf and fried chicken. Big disappointment on the 2 dishes. Neither the textures, nor the products and flavors gave us satisfaction. However, the service was very attentive and friendly. You should also know that the neighborhood is no longer inhabited by the Amish community.

I absolutely HAVE to come here when I come to the Sarasota area! They have the best key lime pie!

I found this gem, and I have made it my go-to place for Mexican food. The owner and staff work very hard to see that you enjoy your meal. The ambiance is very beautiful.

We visit Sarasota every year & the day we leave we always stop for breakfast here the kids love the biscuits & gravy & they have the best omelette!. Today we decided to go a day early & when we went to leave my car wouldn’t start. The employees with no hesitation came out to see if they could help I believe his name was Chris & his nephew. The battery wouldn’t charge so he left & grabbed us a battery & it started right up! I believe we were meant to go today & we’re forever grateful for their kindness!! Also the fried okra & mommas meat loaf was delicious!!!!

Such a cute little restaurant with mom/pops/diner vibe. service was super fast and staff was very friendly. Food was AMAZING. I don’t normally write reviews, but I am SO IMPRESSED. Definitely coming back again. We got Cobb salad and meatloaf. They bring out bread and a slice of banana and pumpkin bread before. 10/10

Not really impressed with Yoder’s. The fried chicken was decent will give them that but the prices were high. The sides were average, not impressive. The bread was okay, it was fair. Can get more at Der Dutchman for less of the price for a buffet compared to this place. Plus they charge you more if you don’t use cash at Yoder’s which didn’t like at all no sign clearly stated that anywhere they rather surprise you at the end. Highly Unlikely will return to Yoder’s.

I don't understand the hype. It's way overpriced and the food tastes like it came straight out of a can. Absolutely the worst green beans I've ever eaten. And rude service staff. So glad I didn't make the drive just for this place.

Great atmosphere and delicious pies. However, wouldn’t recommend the triple option with 3 pies and a key lime pie (just not my cup of tea).

Hate to leave a negative review but my dinner experience here was pretty horrible. I ordered the shepherd's pie with a side of fried okra. The waiter tells me it will take 25 min. Pretty long wait but I figured it must be worth it. My food comes and I noticed while I was eating that there's hardly any ground beef and zero carrots and peas. Thinking it was just buried somewhere, I start digging around and find that my entire Shepherd's Pie has nothing but potatoes and cheese. I wave the waiter over to point this out and he impatiently asked me "what do you want me to do about it?" I asked him to take the dish off my bill and without a word he grabs my plate and takes it away. Needless to say, I will never come back to this place.

A nice country store feel. Lots of pies, cakes and bars. Amish handmade items with Amish craftsmanship.

Yoder's is a new experience in service and food quality. Yoder's gives you more than your stomach can handle. The deserts are all homemade as is all of the food. This is a must try restaurant. It is great for the whole family and just a date.

Disappointing. Subpar food, high prices and exploitation of the Amish. It's a tourist trap and a lie. Most importantly, not worth the price. "Homemade" prices for chain restaurant quality food.

He is "4th generation" aka a bunch of high school kids with blond hair, with 6 earrings, overpriced food, much was frozen and not fresh, they forgot items in my order. Not sure how bread, one pot roast sandwich, and one meat Loaf sadwhich, with green beans (that they forgot) was worth 56$, but Cracker Barrel is the same quality, without the delusion you are giving back to a community that works hard! It is a FRANCHISE, and they are not Mennonite or Amish, they "bought" the recipes. Disappointed is an understatment, canned green beans(not even seasoned), boxed mashed potatoes frozen rolls, and boxed cornbread, plus the dog food meat Loaf that was pre-frozen. Go to Wendy's instead. It looks like a jail house Thanksgiving, and tastes only slightly better according to my dad. 🙃 Oh and they use store bought whip cream, and store bought butter, can anyone explain what they do make? They don't answer their phone under the guise of their religion, yet it is an American restaurant without any current Amish or Mennonite employees, per the owners information.

The only bad thing I could say about this place is that I leave absolutely MISERABLE every year!!! I just eat, eat, and eat.... We go every year while on vacation. I highly recommend you try it, but please use more willpower than I do to stop!!! LOL

It's a home stlye family type of place. Best meal I've had all year hands down! And the strawberry pie was amazing. I should have gotten two of those pies. Don't miss the store next door to the restaurant. We bought several tasty items from there as well. I wish it was closer to Tampa. I'd be a regular.

If you're looking for basic Amish fare, you can eat like a king. The wife lives the mashed potatoes as a treat to take home for carbs craving. Be prepared to have enough calories to plow the north 40 with a team of horses

Had turkey and dressing. Very good. Waitress didn't ask large or small so I got large for $20 . Not worth that price. But my friend has lots of left overs. Gravy salty. Mac and cheese too runny. Apple butter and bread amazing. Cherry pie too. My friend got baked chicken said was delish. Was not pleased with waiter talking about customers in back room where other customers sit. Very good food and service. Country fried steak wasvery tender. Cinnamon rolls was Very good. I got my crinkle chocolate cookies next door at their market.

Our family has been coming to Siesta Key for 18 years. A friend from Venice/Sarasota area recommended we try Yoder’s. We are all originally from the Midwest (Illinois & Indiana) so we love Amish homemade food so we gave it a try. It’s a very short 15-20 minute drive from our Siesta Key resort. Our party of 10 got seated very quickly on a Wednesday (July 10, 2024) evening around 5:30/6:00. The food was delicious and I would definitely go again. The only reason I give this a 4 star instead of a 5 star is due to our server. I couldn’t tell if he was annoyed by us or by his job/life in general. We were not high maintenance by any means (I would be truly honest if we were). He was either annoyed by our party size or other things in his life in general. Overall, I recommend. Maybe if we were locals it would have been a 5 star experience????

Pretty disappointed. The so famous fried chicken had NO TASTE and NO SALT. The chicken tenders were also horrible. I think I have had better in fast food. The pies were not better than the ones you get on the bakery at your local supermarket. The customer service was pretty dry and quite basic. After driving 4 hours to get here, eat a tasteless lunch and receive a mediocre service I am quite upset at everyone that recommended Yoder.

The gift shop was really nice, to see so many things made with love. The desserts were amazing. Apple Butter delicious. I would love to see a renovation inside the restaurant There wasn't a lot of space to walk and the bathroom is in part of the kitchen. Staff were super friendly and food came out quickly.

Highly disappointed with entire meal. $120 for family of 5 and we left most of out meal on our plates. Meatloaf was loose, spongy and bland. It was smothered in a gelatinous, thick, bland beef gravy. Mashed potatoes were dry and tasted like instant potatoes. Country fried steak had breading that was significantly thicker than the thin piece of meat. The white gravy was delicious. The pie flight was a scoop of butterscotch, banana cream and chocolate peanut butter. They tasted like instant pudding. They need to slow down and take pride in their food.

The food is always delicious, however the prices have gotten so high that those of us on a fixed income are unable to afford this luxury. I ordered a salad to go today before I realized the price had increased. The package was much smaller and the price went up to $18. I was glad I didn't order a piece of pie (even though I love their pies) because it would have cost me $8! I realize prices have gone up everywhere, but this was a total shock.

Not homemade. If you have never had homemade food then it may be ok. Most things were ok at best. Over priced in my opinion for what you get.

Very disappointed. I hadn't eaten there in a few months, was so-o-o-o-o excited to go back, and was so disappointed. Country fried steak and Mashed potatoes and green beans. The country fried steak WAS NOT home made. Not sure about the potatoes. The green beans were ok but not great. Nice warm homemade bread at the beginning. Boy friend had pot roast. Cole slaw and sweet potatoes. He really enjoyed his meal saying only that the pot roast was a little salty.

I always love dining at Yoder's. It's my go-to spot.

Bakery is really good but really rediculous I have to pay a fee to use my debit card when visa told me businesses aren't allowed to do that...

The service was great! And the food is usually great, but was terrible this time😕 ordered fried chicken meal w/Mac and cheese, and green beans. The chicken was very dry, but the sides were good, thankfully. Also, ordered my favorite banana cream pie, but the crust was way too salty.

Coming from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, this must be the Florida version of Amish Mennonite food! The cucumber and tomato salad was made with Italian Salad Dressing. Yoders you surely can do better than that! Try making the true version of cucumber tomato salad marinade not dressing out of a bottle! Or the Shady Maple version!!

The food was good, not great for the price. You pay extra for everything . the price for food is the meat only and all sides are extra.

We were mostly disappointed by the mediocre nature of the food. The turkey in my wife's Manhattan sandwich didn't taste like turkey at all. My beef Manhattan was tasty enough but dry and overly stringy. My wife had the 3 little pies but enjoyed only the peanut butter. I had the chocolate cake and it was good. Service was tolerable. Atmosphere reminiscent of a food court. For us it wasn't worth the 25 minute drive. No "seconds" for us!

Whenever we are in Sarasota we have to stop here. The food is always great and of course we have to save room for pie.

If you want delicious homestyle cooking this is the place to go! They have your traditional favorites like fried chicken, fried okra, meatloaf, pot roast, and pot pies. They also have some fun spins on your traditional foods. They make homemade bread, apple butter and pastries. My favorites are meatloaf and peanut butter pie. There are even some pre-packaged that you can take home. They also have a gift store next door. Very friendly staff along with great food.

We love Amish cooking and have been here to eat several times when we visit Sarasota. The food was good but when we went for dinner on Wednesday evening, the food was not what we expected. We had the Manhattens and the food was less and the taste does not live up to your normal standards. The shredded turkey was dry and has no flavor at all, chewing bark of a tree. Please improve your food menu.

Not what we expected, very high priced. Had to fill out a ticket for cold cuts. Menu for food was a lie. Had to wait in line forever. BlackBerry Pies just had pie filling no blackberries. Strawberry was just filling also, no strawberrys. There chicken salad sandwich was slaped together. One little piece of chicken. $2.00 for a very small bag of potatoe chips. Will not be back...This restaurant is in Bulls Gap Tennessee.

No place better! You will NOT be disappointed! Also, Miss Susan! Breakfast was completely put away and she still made 4 eggs for my 2yr old. What a gem!!
