We always enjoy The 211. Really good food, super laid back and friendly atmosphere, and speaking to this last visit? Our servers were so efficient and friendly! And so young! Was very impressed by their work ethic. Two boys, one was our server, one seemed to be assisting/running everywhere. They both took a lot of pride in their work! So refreshing to see in, again, in 2 young boys! That runner, felt like maybe he was the owners son? No idea, but definitely carried himself w/confidence and so professional and helpful! Both those boys left an impression, the kind where you think "if I owned a restaurant I sure hope I could find help like that!" Nice job, 211! Love your bartender too! She's always so kind! 👍 (Can't find my food pics! Promise it was goood!) Oh, that strawberry short cake??? Sooo good!!!

Their truffle fries are amazing. We had burgers, nachos and fish and chips. Everything was delicious service was phenomenal.I will go back every time I come up in the black lake area.

A must stop when in the Onaway/Black Lake area. Food is incredible and the staff is 2nd to none. Every time we head north, we’re treated like family at the 211.

This place continues to amaze me with their awesome food and great friendly staff! No matter how busy it is they still keep their high standards and smiling faces. Mikey’s ribs are delicious as well as the pizzas. Christian was our waiter tonight ( Party of 9) and did a fabulous job. 10/10

Went on vacation around black lake and was looking for a local resturant to have dinner at. These small area restaurants can definitely be a hit or miss sometimes but this one was definitely a hit and will be back if I'm ever in the area again.

I absolutely love this place!! The atmosphere is a perfect dive bar feeling. Their pizza, cod, fried jumbo shrimp, onion rings and hush puppies are all something I look forward to all year. Their salad bar is delicious and the staff really care about this place. The chef/head cook comes out and talks to us every time and he I’m constantly making sure the salad bar is fresh for every guest.

Great place to eat, if you can get past the noise. It was a bit too loud for me, but everything else was great! I definitely recommend eating there.

My neighborhood gem, we drive 30 minutes to enjoy the food. Very reasonably priced, good value, great staff. A great variety on the menu.

211 is a Black Lake staple. The menu is amazing, and literally everything is good. Mikey on the smoker is legit awarded. And it does get slamed. There is a few outside tables, and it worth the wait. The staff always takes care of ya, even when it's so busy people Parke on the highway lol. Recommend ribs there incredible, duck tenders, the Rangoons, prim rib if they have any left it goes fast. And any of the fish is sooo good

If you are ever in the area and need something yummy to eat for a reasonable price, this is the place to go! We had a group of us from the UAW, and we had a great time! The food was very good. Their menu has a little bit of everything, even for your picky eaters! They even have a small bar area if you like to have a drink and eat.

Friday night cod was delicious.

We went there on Wednesday. It was recommended to me, and we should go. Jeremy took great care of us. He is great! I had the walleye and Donna there, Crab legs. All was very very great.

First time here, recommended by a coworker. We ordered prime rib and crab and they were delicious and a great price too!! Love that the salad bar was included in the price! We will definitely be back!

Cod was very greasy and the blugill had no flavor at all.

We had a nice dinner with my wife and I splitting a bbq burger. It was delicious and we enjoyed it with family. The atmosphere was great exuding the ‘true up north’ .

Another great time at 211. Had dinner with my wife and 5 other friends. Fish Taco's with Boom Boom sauce, very good. Hard to get spicy/hot food around Rogers City.

We have a cottage on Black Lake and whenever we're there we always go to the 211. We love it! Everyone I know feels the same way.

The food was phenomenal!! Service was almost too good.. lol. Loved the atmosphere!! Great place..we will be back!! Broccoli cheddar soup was amazing!!

My niece's husband and I were hunting. We stopped for dinner. I enjoyed the Cod dinner, and he enjoyed the double cheeseburger. Very friendly, fast service, all round vary vary good.

Little place way up north--best fish around. 5 or 6 fish options--well-prepared and served hot! At a recent visit, cod, walleye, perch, whitefish and bluegill. And they have gluten-free pizza!

What a fun place Food food and excellent seevice..look forward to going back

We were spending a weekend in town and decided to give this place a try. You know what? It was better than we expected! Its filled with locals but that what makes it fun. The food was great and the drinks were solid! They had a double burger on special so I pulled the trigger. You can tell it was hand made and not just frozen patties. Would eat here again without hesitation.

What a great spot! We had a group of about twenty show up unannounced, and they handled our food and drink orders with ease. A sure stop anytime we're in the area.

Stopped in with my son after a long day of youth hunting. Needless to say we were unsuccessful and starving. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! We got the steak/salad bar with a side of fried mushrooms. Everything met our expectations and we will definitely be back in the future!

When we came in we were greeted by a gentleman who sat us at our table! Not sure of his name but he was the only male doing this job. Please share our happiness with his work. He returned to our table several times asking us if we were satisfied and to give us recommendations for dinner. The clam appetizer was delicious as was the blue gill and tacos! The quality and quantity was awesome. Our waitress was also amazing checking on us several times during our meal for any needs. We will for sure return and share our experience.

Very good food. Generous portions. Lots of taxidermy animals including a bear with sun glasses and a hawaiien shirt. Friendly service, would definitely return next time I’m in the area.

Always a go to when I am in the area. Not just bar food. Had a great salad....and a local craft beer.

Great Detroit style pizza, plenty of fresh fish options and drinks

The 5 stars are not for a gourmet 5 star restaurant but rather one of the best Northern Michigan Bar and Grill restaurants. Mostly "Bar" food with a lot of pleasant surprises. The bar food is not food service prefab food but rather freshly and excellently prepared on site. From the Friday fishfry to the pizza and everything in between you won't be disappointed.

Sammy was the best waitress i have ever had she was the nicest person ever and recommended amazing food options and gave overall amazing service. She made us feel like family and introduced us to her whole family/staff. If you don’t go here for dinner you’re lame.

We were here a year ago and had a great meal and a fun time. Not much has changed, Christina took great care of us for excellent food, excellent service, in a family-friendly atmosphere.

We had a party of six and even though on a Tuesday night the place was hoppin we found a table back in the far corner furthest from the bar right away. Our server was Johnny on the spot, our appetizers (r onion rings, nachos, and mushrooms) came out super quick and our HUGE meals weren't far behind. Large portions of Bob's whitefish and Ricks walleye, the girls had the famous Maurice Salad with JL Hudson dressing just like the old days. I had the loaded burrito and could not finish it (and that's not like me!). All in all very pleased with the service, the food, and the atmosphere. Great place for a great value, but be aware when it's full like it was the Tuesday night we were there, it can get pretty loud. It's not a place to have a peaceful intimate night with your sweetheart 💋

Got Mikey's famous house smocked Ribs, and they are indeed pretty good. Staff is really nice.

From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with a smile , swiftly seated, explained all that the bar holds from specials to drink items and history galore. Within a min your waiter arrives takes your order and food is served shortly after no matter the rush of people , it will be hot, delicious and a memory to come back and did it again. It’s nice to see that such a place offers Five Star experience at great prices and quality not seen since pre covid. Love the 211! We always make it a point to stop and eat here! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu! Only downside is they added more tables and it is a little loud when it's busy.

Service was friendly. Salad bar is decent. Family friendly place. Fish sandwich was good and decent portion. We also had the deep dish pizza. It was a different take on how to make pizza. The pizza sauce is on top of the toppings instead of being on the bottom. Pizza was still good, only wish there was more pizza sauce. And our pizza was slightly over cooked. But we still enjoyed our food. I would go there again and want to try other foods they offer.

This is a locally owned restaurant! The atmosphere is great,they treat you like family. We had a wonderful meal. The French onion soup is excellent, pizza, Mac burger and coconut shrimp were awesome. Can't wait to go back!

Busy, busy tonight. To be honest I eat here a lot. The salad bar is amazing and food is just as yummy. Brisket sandwich, burger, and ribs are a few favorites. Staff is friendly. This is a great family owned (and run) business.

Went on a Saturday night for dinner, it was really busy but the service was good. Had the prime rib and ribs which both included the salad bar. The salad bar was good, had all the usual fixings. The ribs fell off the bone and had a good BBQ sauce. The prime rib was good, nice and tender with good flavor.

Have had great meals here 3x since we moved to the area last month

Place was slammed when we stopped on Friday @ 5:15. Our server Lainey had a table of 14 whose food was coming out. She acknowledged us and said she would get to us as soon as she served them. She did awesome job. Food was fast and large servings. Deep fried mushrooms were fresh and awesome! Some of the best French Onion soup I've had.

My friend, who has frequented this area since childhood, highly recommended this place and it did not disappoint. My entree was the pecan encrusted whitefish with vegetable, choice of potato and salad bar. Excellent. I also enjoyed a Sam Adams Octoberfest. Low top and bar seating. Clean with a outdoorsman atmosphere. Fast, friendly service. Ask for the password for wifi. Large parking lot. Very small bathroom. Right across from the entrance to Onaway State park. I would definitely recommend and would return.

I ate the Not-Your-Mama's Nacho's with Pulled Pork. I made the mistake of getting the DELICIOUS and fresh salad bar too. Well the Nachos were the best, mouth-watering nachos I've even had. My husband had the perch. He always loves his fish. He'd been here before and loves the food here. We bought the smoked full rack of ribs to go and just finished them last night. Fully worth bringing them back to the campground. Yum! All yum. Jeremy was a great server, too.

Stayed in a cabin for a week on black lake. Ordered to go pizza from them on Monday that was pretty ok. Stopped and ate there for dinner on Tuesday night and waited two hours from order to food coming out. I had a 3,2 and 1 year of old. Had my wife take the kids back to cabin after an hour and half. Was about to just walk out but food came as I was getting up. Had them bag it and payed for it (they gave us a Diet Coke for free, yeah?) the servers were good but were 14-17year olds trying their best. Wanted to ask for a manager but that’s not really me, and I had kids to get food home to so I could get them to sleep. They were busy, I get that, but 2 hours to get food after ordering(it was three burger and two kids chicken tenders) is crazy. Food was actually pretty good, but just a horrible experience. I hope it was just a one time thing but probably will never try it again.
