We were here for a wedding and it was outstanding

I just had my Wedding at Milford Hills on September 1st, 2024. I am awe as how beautiful and perfect my wedding was. I absolutely LOVE Milford hills! What a gorgeous spot. Shout out to Heidi Ott, the event manager. Heidi is SO smart and knows exactly what she is doing! My wedding would not have been perfect without her, she is seriously amazing. We love you Heidi!! I also cannot forget ALL staff- they were Phenomenal! Thank you so much for making our day perfect. If you are looking for a venue for any occasion (especially a wedding, but I suppose I’m biased), do it here! Also.. we love shooting sporting clays here… it’s THE place to go!

Great gun club. The staff is super helpful and super kind. Lots of different options for shooting and a little restaurant on site.

Disappointed today. We called in advance to make sure the skeet range was open for the day. We were told yes open shooting all day. When we arrived after driving 2 hrs to get there we were told it was only open until 2:00 . We thought we could get one course in. But at 1:45 at our 10th station of 12 we were asked to leave because of the wedding and celebration of life that we're starting and we were told we could eat our lunch by the front entrance before the long drive home. This not the way to treat your customers, the wedding was not a surprise, they should not have said they were open for the day.

Great atmosphere and awesome fried fish.

We had our wedding here and it was perfect. Heidi was great to work with and was so helpful with our planning. Food, bar and staff were friendly and professional. We did a day of shooting for guests (with trainers for those who had not shot before) and they all had a memorable experience. The property is simply beautiful so our pictures are gorgeous. I highly recommend Milford Hills!

Booked the Ball and Chain package for a Bachelor party and it was a blast! Great staff, great food and beer. I would highly recommend!

Over the past few years I have been able to attend a few different events that have been hosted here. The team of employees have always been wonderful. For clays, the stations are never the same. They always setup some stands that are more challenging for us. If you are looking for a location to host an event, I would highly encourage you to visit!

I recently had a party at the Milford Hills Hunt Club in their Trading Post and the whole experience was wonderful! The room was spotless and well appointed while still maintaining a rustic feel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating the food was excellent and the bartender was amazing. The gentleman (Jeff) that helped us set everything up was really helpful with all aspects of organizing our event. After years of dealing with lack luster service from just about everywhere you go, you just expect to be let down but Milford Hills is a reminder of what America once was and what it could be again. If this review seems over the top, that is only because Milford Hills exceeded my expectations in every category. I will be visiting them again and I highly recommend that you give them the opportunity to impress you as well! THANK YOU MILFORD HILLS AND STAFF A+++

Beatiful setting. It is exactly what it adevertivises to be. A well layed out range and ascetic lodge with a bar and great food. Their deer meat wasn't gamey, and the pheasant was perfectly cooked.

Very well ran place. People were very helpful and informative. Safety is definitely a number one priority. It was my 1st time there am considering a membership.

Hands down the only range I'll ever go to for sighting in my rifles. No offense to any of the workers here at the gun club but I highly recommend if you need assistance in sighting in ask for "ERIC", hell have you in bullseye quickly and with the least amount of ammo used. He knows his stuff. Otherwise the staff from all of my experiences have been super friendly. The range is always clean and well maintained. All the way around awesome place.

I’ve been a member here for 3 years now. This club has been great and continues to grow in their offerings. I bring clients in regularly for sporting clays and pheasant hunts. It is always a great experience and my customers leave impressed. Taylor, Bobby and the team always treat us well and take extremely good care of our groups. The service is second to none.

Awesome, magical, professional, supportive, these are the words that first come to mind thinking about my son's wedding celebrated at this wonderful venue. Heidi was incredible and truly professional. We knew that what was supposed to happen actually happened when it was supposed to. I have been to many weddings in my 67 years, and this one and one other rank at the top. Even the wait staff was amazing. The meal was 5 stars all the way. Every one of our guests thanked me for having such a good time. I highly recommend Milford Hills for your venue needs.

Wrongly listed as a restaurant - it is a Hunting / shooting range & club. The clubhouse does have a bar and restaurant. We only went to the restaurant for lunch. The food was GREAT in flavor and quantity, and very good prices. Service was impressive. Breakfast is only on Sundays. We were told they only have dinner menu for special events, and then the event host (mostly) chooses the menu. The clubhouse is the smaller building, closest to the entrance (they NEED to put up a sign!!). Kinda hard to find - I'm glad my GPS found it.

I had my wedding at Milford Hills in the beginning of June, it is an absolutely gorgeous venue. I would most definitely recommend this venue to other couples who are getting married. My husband and I didn’t feel like barns, golf courses or hotels fit our vibe. We felt like this venue really spoke to our style. The outdoor grounds are absolutely gorgeous as well as inside the clubhouse. We worked with Heidi who did a lovely job helping us plan our perfect day. This venue has so many food and drink options that you will find something you love. My guests absolutely loved the dinner that was provided. The day of ran quite smoothly and would recommend this to anyone looking for a venue for their big day.

Great place for big events and fun just too chill out and relax

We had a spring wedding at the Clubhouse at Milford Hills and would highly recommend it to others! It’s a beautiful venue with great scenery for photos, and we received a lot of compliments about how nice everything was. We worked with Heidi at the venue to coordinate everything - she did a fantastic job and was really knowledgeable and helpful. One of the main reasons we chose it over others was because so much is handled in-house, which meant juggling fewer vendors ourselves: the food (which was fantastic), bar, service, and most decor (we really only had to bring in florals) was all handled through Milford. The getting-ready rooms for bride & groom parties were really nice too, and also on-site. The groom’s party also had fun shooting trap in the morning day-of. We had a wonderful experience - highly recommend!

We had our wedding at Milford Hills on 09/23/2022. Working with Milford and specifically Heidi was a wonderful experience. Not only was I always able to reach her through the planning process, she always got back to me in a timely manner. They set up and tore down the reception site which was so helpful and something my family nor I had to worry about on the day of. Everything looked beautiful and was exactly how I imagined it to be. From the food tasting to the actual wedding day everything went so smoothly and my we felt so important and cared for. Milford Hills and Heidi truly made our day perfect and we would not have had it any other way. We would highly recommend Milford Hills as a wedding location. Thank you!

I have been coming here with various clients for the past 20 years and I have to say it is one of my favorite places to come. I can't say enough of this place. The fields are well maintained and have good cover. The food at the club house is amazing you have to try the pheasant strips and the pheasant poppers truly delicious. If you need to shop for a gun they got you, along with ammo and apparel. Great quality stuff. The course for clays is both challenging and fun. You got to try it if you need to hone in your skills. Which I do ALOT says Krings. His dogs are awesome I have hunted with them many times and they are great. Lastly I can't say enough of the staff. They are all very helpful and always take time to talk. Feels like home! McKenzie is the best!! Keep up the great work the place is beautiful. We will see you soon.

I love going to Milford Hills. I used to help out on the weekend, when I was a kid, pull trap for members. I love seeing how much it has grown up since I was there last. This visit, I visited the range to sight in a firearm. Regardless of my failed attempt to get that gun sighted in, I felt very safe. They take range safety very seriously, as anyone should. I hopefully will be able to visit again to see what else Milford Hills has to offer. Milford Hills Staff - Thank you for the enjoyable visit. You do an outstanding job!

Fantastic range, its quite the drive for me but I love shooting here. Every RSO I've dealt with has been friendly and patient. Food at the clubhouse is really good, and the staff in there are always very welcoming and friendly, you never feel like you need to pass a nut-job political test like at other places that just can't let you shoot in peace.

Beautiful facility run by an incredible staff. The wedding I attended couldn't have been better. The food was top notch and the staff was on top of everything.

First time out to Milford Hills, and drove up from Kenosha, WI. Shot the Blue Sporting Clays Course twice and had a really nice time. I found the Target Presentations fun and challenging. All equipment on the Blue course was working as it should. The Trading Post was really nice! Nice assortment of Firearms, Ammo, and other outdoor items. Staff at the Counter was wonderful to deal with. Facility Grounds are beautiful overall. We were going to stay for lunch but just ran out of time. Next time we'll build more time into the Day and stay for Lunch and a trip to the Shooting Range as well. Hope to shoot the Red Sporting Course as well. Great place for a day out!

5/5, 10/10 - whatever the scale is, Everyone is so friendly here. Great place to shoot at the range and enjoy some nice dinner and cocktails after.

Good deal for the quality of the sporting clay course

Always a fun time at the Range and Lunch afterwards. (Food is excellent) My friends and I come at least once a month. Range Officers are great and are very knowledgeable and will help you with any gun issues. Every employee I have had contact with has been a pleasure.

Very bad range employees don’t follow rules and enforce them only to the people they want to.

Stopped yesterday for the first time to check it out and have lunch with my wife. Lunch was great and the staff were very friendly. Seemed like a well oiled machine they have there. We are both looking forward to coming back to shoot.

Beautiful facility! Was able to attend a fundraiser this past weekend and everything ran so smooth! Staff was amazing, food was fantastic as well! Everyone with us commented on how much fun the event was. So glad OHS Wrestling decided to make this an annual event.

Food was good and the facility was perfect to hold a rehearsal dinner. The view there is incredible.

Recently a group of ten of us went to Milford Hills for lunch. The customer service was the best that I have experienced anywhere in quite some time. The staff were all very friendly and had everything set up for us and the food was very good. Most notable however was the fact that our server tracked me down by phone based on a confirmation of reservation call I had made to tell me that one of our party had left behind a pair of glasses and that they would hold them for her. Thanks!

Great place to shoot trap and the pistol/rifle range is great too. The grounds are beautiful, and the food at the restaurant is excellent. It is a 50 minute drive for me, but it is worth it. Because they are so reasonably priced. I will be going back again.

What an awesome experience this place is. We came in last year before hunting season to use the gun range to scope our rifles in. From start to finish we were welcomed by everyone we came in contact with. Once we got to the range the man working the range helped us scope in. My girlfriend went through three scopes two that broke and he worked with her throughout the whole process. We had a great hunting season. Thank you so much!!! See ya next visit

Milford Hills hosted our Holiday Party and did a great job from set up, to the food and accommodations! Our service staff was fun and quick! We would definitely book again! Thank you to all the staff and Heidi for the coordination to make it all happen!

Nice range, range officers have all been very nice and helpful.

Recently purchased some firearms and asked everyone I knew about ranges when someone suggested Millford Hills. Just visited today and I loved it! Everyone on the range was friendly, the facilities are nice and I would have spent more time there but the restaurant had already closed (2pm on Saturday). I brought my own silhouette targets for my rifle but they do sell rifle and pistol targets, and they have plenty of safety gear such as earplugs and eye protection in case you need that. Range rules are simple. Once a cease fire has been declared and the range is safe you can change out your target (staplers are provided) or cover your shot holes. Deflector screens are available, if you'd like to keep your brass. I will say that my 25"X35" silhouette target barely fit so if you're bringing one make sure you can get a few staples into the bottom of the target or you'll have a flapping target down range! If you plan to use the 100 yard range, I'd strongly suggest bringing good binos so you can see where your shots are hitting. There are a couple of spotter's scopes but they're for everyone and you should not expect to keep it for the duration of your time on the range. Thank you Millford Hills for an outstanding place!

Tony is one of the coolest “range bosses” around. I walked in to the range and I was a little off of where I needed to be. Tony was more than willing to pop over and give me pointers put me exactly where I wanted to be on the paper. Thanks Tony and the rest of the Milford Hills staff for the awesome experience!

There is no doubt that Milford Hills is a beautiful venue to consider for you upcoming wedding! We toured Milford Hills in July of 2018 and by this time they already had most Saturday's taken for their 2019 season. We chose to book a Friday wedding in September 2019 shortly after touring. At this time, we had worked with Erin, wedding planner. Everything seemed great, and as you will come to find out not much planning happens until the final months. By the time 2019 rolled in, we were contacted by Winter, letting us know she would be our new wedding planner moving forward with Milford. In the short time we worked with Winter, she was hard to get a hold of, and when asking questions via email could not provide a straight answer on most. We finally decided to setup an in-person meeting, and she was super helpful in answering our questions and helping us budget. Jump forward to June/July when our first payment is due, and we spent three weeks attempting to contact Winter with some questions, and finally Colleen, Milford's Finance Manager reached out to us letting us know that Winter was no longer with Milford and our new planner, Heidi, would be in touch soon. Heidi was luckily our last planner at Milford and was not off to a great start with communication either. Our wedding day went fairly well. We never received the bridal mimosa bar, it rained the day of and communication was poor about what we were doing, and at one point I was left at the bridal suite alone with no idea of what was going on. We had rules set for our bar, suggested by Milford, and one main rule was no shots for our guests on our bar tab. Guests would need to pay for those on our own. This was not enforced, and the bartenders allowed our guests to spin some shot wheel they had out. This was not OK with us and the finance manager, Colleen had no empathy and did not even reply to my last message about my distaste for the bartender behavior. Our wedding did turn out well, but it was stressful and annoying to work with Milford Hills on things we thought could have been handled better. We have come to the conclusion that Milford Hills has a great venue with wedding opportunities, but their communication is poor internal and external. If you are someone that needs strong communication during their wedding planning process, Milford Hills is not for you.

I was ready to send my firearm back to the manufacturer for repairs. I went to the range at Milford Hills and rented a gun that I thought I wanted to purchase, but decided to shoot it first and am glad I did. I learned that the trouble was not with my gun, but rather my technique, thanks to one of the range officers there. He taught me several drills and helped me figure out why ‘my firearm’ was about 4” off to the right. He was incredibly patient with me, but didn’t treat me like a clueless woman. The facilities there are fantastic. The food is amazing.

I had my wedding in October. Beautiful place. We did have problem with on wedding coordinator Erin having a wedding rehearsal on my wedding day. But we did have a new coordinator winter that was very nice and apologize to us about all the problem we had. I do recommend having your wedding hear. But I do recommend you get all your receipts for all your payments that you make. We had to many problems with HR with payments.

Milford Hills was an amazing place to have our wedding. Everything from our day turned out flawlessly. Our wedding coordinator, Winter, came on board less than a month before our wedding. Winter was AMAZING the whole day, being there from 9 am til Midnight. The amount of work and time she invested in our day, would make us recommend Milford Hills just to work with her. Everything about our day went with ease, from our arrival, getting ready, set up to the ceremony and reception. Everyone complimented the venue, asking us how we discovered it and stating that it was a hidden gem. This place is the perfect amount of rustic combined with elegance and class. The food was outstanding, with everyone telling us it was some of the best meals that they have had at a wedding! The staff was amazing to work with, and the bartenders a ton of fun. We would wholeheartedly recommend having your wedding here if you get the chance!

What a beautiful range! It was our first time at the range, and the staff was polite. One thing that I must warn those who don't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, the road to the pistol/rifle range is not paved. I thought I was going to get stuck, due to the light rain. When time permits, we will return in 2019.

Visited this range with a couple of friends that were new to shooting (I have experience shooting, but it's so few and far between that I'm a terrible shot) - the range marshal got us set up with everything we needed, was very patient with us, and was there to help us out anytime there was trouble. Great place; once I get back into shooting, I'd happily buy an annual pass and make the 50 minute drive from Madison just to make this my go-to range.

Our wedding day at Milford Hills could not have been more perfect. Erin, our planner at Milford Hills, took over two months before the wedding and did a fantastic job. The staff was extremely friendly and their service at the reception was amazing. Multiple guests came up to us and told us how great the bartenders were and that the dinner was the best they've ever had at a wedding. If you're looking for an intimate venue with a rustic, outdoor feel this place is perfect. My husband and I are beyond happy we chose this place for our wedding day.
