Husband and I shared the jalapeno bacon dip and the chicken gumbo, Gumbo was a special. Both were good, the dip specifically was like crack. Loved that it also included some veggies to dip in it.

My wife had breakfast there three mornings in a row ,I joined her the last morning and all meals were VERY good, we stayed in the motel wed thru Sunday and we're pleased with the accomodations

Best word for this place is WOW! If you are in the area and looking for a stellar experience, this is the place to go. Their breakfast is AMAZING!!! Y’all know by now, I’m a pinball freak. They currently have Stranger Things, found this bar using the Pinball Maps app. So we ventured out from Ashland to check it out. Their pizza was really good, I ordered the Post and my partner ordered the Chicken cordon bleu. Both were tasty. The bartender was funny, kind, and super friendly. Ok, back to pinball. We leveled the game as best we could because, again, imma pinball nut. The game is maintained so game play was smooth and switches/ramps/etc all were in good working order. This game is tricky! Don’t get lost in trying to defeat the demigorgon, it’s all smoke and mirrors. Stick with hitting the ramps and scoring is slow but steady. Lots of other arcade games there for everyone. Motorcycle arcade games, Big Buck, Bonus Hole, Cut 2 Win, pool, and the Northern Wisconsin favorites like pull tabs and video poker. Other customers at the bar were very friendly. Awesome spot for families, couples, travelers, old timers and anyone who appreciates a sweet, small town bar and grill.

Always the perfect place, great breakfast in the morning, music and fun at night, the food is great and it's right on the atv/snowmobile trail. The owners and employees are all very nice and provide great service.

Great spot for a snowmobile trip. Food is outstanding, breakfasts are epic and best pizza around. Everything on the menu is delicious. Rooms are well equipped and spacious. Can't wait to return next winter.

Went here several times on our last snowmobile trip. Food was good, drinks decent. Attended the local sled club meat raffle too which was a blast. Owner of establishment was also super responsive to a concern I had about behavior of someone there which was much appreciated.

My buddy and I stayed here two nights last week and rode some awesome trails. Elliott was very friendly and accommodating as was the entire staff. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The food in the restaurant was home cooked, delicious and reasonable. We loved visiting with the locals in the restaurant as they were so kind and welcoming. No disappointments! We’ll certainly be back!

One of the best breakfasts around. So good the first time we went back two days later. Staff is friendly, prices are good, and great trails to ride to get to it by snowmobile or atv. Gorgeous area!

Stopped in twice...had burgers the first time and pizza the second. Both good. Old fashioneds we're perfect. Lucky enough to catch one of their meat raffles and had a blast.

Huge fan of the Trading Post. In an area where practically all restaurant options have off days and abbreviated hours, the family who owns it goes through great lengths to make sure it's open for breakfast daily and remains the last open option for food at night. We have even eaten here on Christmas and Thanksgiving when work didn't coincide with our ability to travel to family. Pizza, burgers and salads are awesome. Breakfast is solid and served fast. There is a game room in the back and a motel on sight which is also on the side of the local trail system.

We stopped in for breakfast and bloody mary’s. Portions were huge but more important the quality of the food far exceeded our expectations! Great customer service from everyone we came in contact with. We are looking forward to coming back to try the pizzas.

I am so grateful we were able to spend some time here this past weekend when we were in Wisconsin. We got married and our whole wedding party stayed at the inn, and frequented the trading post for breakfast and drinks. Everyone was so so helpful, always checking in to make sure we had everything we need, and were very communicative throughout the process of booking and throughout the weekend. They handled all of our crazy with ease (including our constant and insane breakfast orders lol) and it was such a blast. On Saturday post-wedding, our group ended our night at the bar, and I want Mike to know how lovely and kind it was that he stuck around for a while to make sure we were well taken care of. It truly rounded out the weekend and I’m so glad we had a chance to spend that time with our friends. The trading post and Wilderness Inn are such a beloved place in Barnes and we can’t wait to return when we are back in town. It holds a special place for us now too. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!!!

Had breakfast here. Food was excellent. Our picky eater grandson ate his whole pancake! He said it was really good. They have live music on back patio. A must try while in Barnes, WI.

This little honey pot I found while hanging with my friends in Wisconsin. I got a chance to meet the owner Nadia as she and her husband are very much a part of the day-to-day operations. The staff was very kind, patient, and helpful. The staff along with Nadia made sure my guests and I were always satisfied. I ordered the barbecue chicken pizza, and my friends ordered the Hawaiian pizza, and the cordon blue pizza. All of the pizzas were perfect, and the mixed drinks were as well. I think what I liked most about this establishment besides the wonderful food and service is the fact that they also have a game room in the back so after eating you can either playing pool or arcade games. This place is definitely a great find, and when the food and service are as good as they are here I wouldn't look to go anywhere else. Kudos to Nadia and Elliott for having a wonderful establishment and making me a believer that this is all I need and more in this town

Wonderful staff, lots of pizza to choose from!

We stopped for breakfast on our weekend getaway to Wisconsin. We had a long day on the Harley planned so we first enjoyed excellent breakfast drinks, tasty omelets and french toast. Even before our motorcyle break down the staff was very attentive to our needs and wants. After finishing our meals, we planned to hit the road but found we had a problem with our bike, so we could not leave. We became “stranded, ” but the bartender made several phone calls to line us up with a repairman. He went far above and beyond any expectations. We will be sure to patronize the Trading Post any chance we can get in the future, and we hope you take our referral to do the same.

We stopped by for lunch today and had the most wonderful burgers! My husband had the Black and Blue Burger with cheese curds, and I had the Bear Burger (which had cream cheese and green olives) with onion rings. The burger buns tasted homemade, and were sooooo good! Fun atmosphere, tasty beers, great service! We will be back soon!

Over deer season, we stayed at the motel since our cabin was getting rebuilt. I wasn’t expecting much, since it’s in Barnes lol. But it completely exceeded my expectations. The beds were comfy, the room was clean, nice tv, mini fridge, and it’s walking distance from the bar. I also loved the cabiny feel that the room had. I would 100% recommend this motel to anyone who plans on staying in Barnes for a weekend. Also, the bloody Mary’s at the bar are wonderful and the service is always great!

The owner was bar tending during our visit and she was an absolute delight! She gave us insights to the area was a great hostess. The men with us said the bathroom needed some deep cleaning, but the ladies bathroom was clean. We didn’t order any food, but one of the pizzas that came out looked delicious. Hoping to try it next time we visit!

I have always loved the House Special supreme pizza here! The menu and beer prices are extremely reasonable. Today we stopped here for lunch on our long ride home from putting the camper in the campground. Because we had a long ride ahead we decided to just get sandwiches instead of pizza. OMG, I love a good steak sandwich, and the possibilities in this small, lovely little bar, are amazing! They have a philly which is truly excellent. For those willing to take the risk to order a philly with cream cheese on it, this place does not disappoint. I never would have thought to do that but The Nadia is incredibly delicious!! The bun is clearly fresh and probably local. The chunks of steak are flavorful and tender. The onions and mushrooms perfectly sautéed. The kicker, the blend of cream cheese and cheddar cheese takes this sandwich to a whole new level! You absolutely must have the pizza and beer here, no doubt. Before or after the pizza, the Nadia!!!! Not kidding, that sandwich is impressive.

Stopped by off the trail on ATVs. Burgers and french dip were excellent! Staff let me use their garden hose to clean mud out of my wheeler's radiator as it was overheating. Super friendly!! We will stop again.

The staff was excellent and attentive, and the food was good, but the atmosphere was just not my style. Very much a bar, country music from a jukebox, pool table and pinball machines etc. - and the largest, loudest drunks I've seen since my 30s.... 😉

Exactly what you expect at a Northwoods Bar and Grill. This shotgun shack style restaurant is quinntessential Northwest Midwestern. Or, what we refer to as the Great North Woods. During fishing season they start serving breakfast at around 6 a.m. and you better like eating because breakfasts are not small not that Americans are used to small fair but this is definitely above average in plate size. They have cute branding on their menu, and sit right off of the ATV trails and the snowmobile trails. They have built a ATV Style Roadhouse Motel, walking distance from the bar and grill that is packed solid all snowmobiling season, and welcome and most opportune spot sometimes without warning at bar close to spend the night, all ATV season. My cousin Jean love this place and knows the owners and considers them friends you should too. Parking lot says it all on a Friday at lunch time, you have lots of places including your outdoor grill that you can have lunch up here in the North Woods.

Best party-catered pizzas! THE Nadia Sandwich is BEYOND delicious. Staff service is impeccable and guests so friendly (feels like an Irish Pub!). And Wednesday nights with Russ Darwin will have you shaking your head saying, “What the heck, this guy is performing in Barnes, WI?” World class talent! This is the “Cheers Bar” of the Upper Midwest.

Several of my family members stayed at the Wilderness Inn last weekend as we came into town for a family wedding. We are soooo glad we stayed at your motel as the experience was so positive. Clean rooms, courteous cleaning staff, outstanding hospitality displayed by Elliot and great bar and food service! How fun to be able to have drinks at the Trading Post then just a two minute walk to our rooms😊. A great weekend and our stay at your place made it even better!!
