The food is amazing the service is great but do expect it to be a bit loud

I love this place. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and it's very clean. A couple favorites are the mini street tacos and the chili rellenos. If you're in the mood for a ton of queso, theirs is the best. Margaritas are great and Happy 'Hour' seems to be every hour. If you want a lot of food to go, it's ready quickly and my orders have been 100% correct every time.

I've eaten here numerous of times but my favorite dish is the LaEspuela Special Salad, so delicious!

The food was delicious. We were well taken care of. And the decor is very nice!

First time eating here and I have to say I gave 5 stars for food, service and atmosphere. The food was absolutely the best Mexican food I ever ate. I never give 5 stars but I did this time bc everything was wonderful. I will be back‼️

Authentic Mexican food in a nice, friendly atmosphere and good prices. There was also a live music performance of Mexican songs. I recommend you give this this place a try.

TACOS AND PRICES ARE BOMB AND I ONLY ORDERED 5 CORN TORTILLA TACOS it came with a spicy sauce cilantro onion and then chips and salsa place is bomb it did take a while even when I ordered in the phone and drove there but I knew it was fresh!

Food was delicious and the people were very friendly. We will be back!

Weekends place is packed, lots of people. Good good, some items are better than others. Place is older but still decent.

Went here for the first time and we will absolutely be back. We were seated immediately, drinks delivered quick as well as our dinner. The food was Awesome !! Very tasty, not over seasoned , great presentation and it was all Great. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend everyone in Carencro visit these guys.

The staff and food was top notch. However imma avoid Saturday nights. The live music was pretty bad. And too loud for a conversation. Just ruins a good night.

The fajita steak or chicken chilie relanos are amazing. Can't get enough of them.

This place is a hidden gem!!! The food and atmosphere are simply fantastic. The service was amazing. The guacamole was the best I’ve ever had, and the carne asada was great. It’s an absolute must if you like authentic Mexican cuisine.

1st time trying this place and we will most DEFINITELY be back!!! The waiter (female) was in training but the guy (I didn’t catch his name) was helping her and he was so delightful and comical to us!! felt like I was at home being waited on!! The food… omg was soooooooooo delicious!!! 😋 the 2 for 1 margaritas were delicious as well!!!! 🤤 We will be back!!! 😊

Such a wonderful place!! Definitely a hidden gem!! We use to go El Paso restaurant until we found this place. Food was amazing!! Service was amazing!! The guy that greeted us when we walked into the door made us laugh with jokes and made us feel at home. Place was very clean and even had live music. This is most definitely our new go to place for Mexican cuisine!

Went on a Friday night. Service was amazing. Asked for Long Island iced tea. Wasn’t sure how to make it. Owner looked it up and made it for me and didn’t charge me. Chips and salsa were great. Queso dip was great. Service was fast and friendly. Got steak quesadillas. Meat was flavorful and tender. So much food I couldn’t eat it all. Husband had fiesta dinner. Huge platter came out. Everything was delicious. He had to take lots home. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Huge HUGE hats off to La Espuela in Carencro. The food was really good. My sis and I went for lunch today and were very pleasantly surprised. Huge portions, good prices, very very nice young man named Fernando waited on us. He took the time to go over the menu with us and point out their most popular dishes. The tortilla chips were homemade and hot out of the fryer; salsa was excellent, just a touch of heat and fresh. I had the Fajita Chimichanga, tender meat, came with guac, pico de gallo, beans and rice. It was outstanding. Enough leftover for a second meal. My sis had the Fiesta Dinner - huge chile relleno, taco, chalupa, tamale, enchilda and rice and beans. She had enough leftover for at least two more meals. We will definitely eat here again.

Excellent food, great service and super clean place

Incredible service from Fernando & amazing food. Don't pass this up! Bigger places aren't always better & this is a prime example. We loved eveeything .. chips & salsa, fajitas, Nachos, quesadillas, chile relleno! I hope they continue doing the damn thing, that's all I gotta say. #DontSleepOnIt.

Do NOT sleep on this place! To any locals that are reading this review, and have not yet tried La Espuela, you are missing out if you go to the flashy place. The food is OUTSTANDING! Very large portions and reasonable prices. Every time we walk in, we are welcomed to smiling faces and are treated as if we are family. The best Mexican restaurant around!

The food was outstanding! Our waitress made sure we had everything we needed without hesitation! The food came in a big proportion and was delicious! Nothing was too salty, it had the perfect flavor! I would definitely recommend, and I will definitely be dining here again.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Acadiana. The food is outstanding and made with quality ingredients. You can taste the freshness in the veggies and the meat is marinated perfectly. If that wasn't enough, the staff goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We have a one year old and they treat him like VIP! I highly recommend this place over any other Mexican restaurant in the area.
