We have used this bakery many times including for our daughter’s gender reveal and baptism cakes. They never disappoint! The staff is wonderful to work with and the baker is incredibly talented!

I really don't know if or how many times I've been here and I've lived in LA ey for a better part of half my life and they have delicious French cruellers. Even chocolate covered. I've already been back more then once. I'm sure any local would tell you to try here

I love this bakery! The staff is so pleasant and friendly. The cakes especially the seven layer are delicious! Donuts are fantastic. Come early cause they sell out quick.

My favorite bakery around. Prices are very good. Tiramisu and Jelly Bombs are my favorites. Cinnamon sugar donuts are awesome as well. Service is always pleasant. Sometimes they run out of items by afternoon so you must get there early, but a fantastic bakery for sure.

Old lady was rude and had an attitude with my three year old son. She was impatient and very rude. I hope people reconsider bringing your kids here as there are other local bakery’s that love kids! Do your research.

This review is in response to Kayla Rhodes review on July 23rd, 2024. Kayla wrote that the worker at the bakery was rude to her 3 year old son and to reconsider bringing your children to the bakery. The true story is Kayla placed her son on the counter where we place our customers orders/food with no shoes on, just socks. The woman behind the counter said “if you don’t mind can you please take him down from the counter, it is for food service. Kayla got angry and walked out. At the bakery we try our best to keep it as clean as possible, our goal is never to offend anyone, but we can’t have feet or bottoms where food is placed.

I purchased 4 soda breads for a neighbor and one for myself for the 1’st time-Delicious I bought a plain cheesecake, in which my husband is Extremely picky- he Loved it I purchase a lobster claw -very delicious and 4 French Crullers, just as good as Dunkin but, I’d rather support a small business when possible and buy other types of donuts that Waretown doesn’t carry to support workers at Dunkin. These weren't the greatest donuts or coffee I've ever had, but what really tipped the scales for me was the price and most importantly customer service. I wandered in here on the 4th of July probably around 7am-ish after misreading Google Maps and taking an ill-advised walk from our Airbnb down a solid chunk of Route 9. (There was a pedestrian path on the other side of the road that looked very peaceful in comparison and I just didn't feel like crossing the highway to get on it - 100% on me). As soon as I saw the crowded parking lot, I knew this was probably the only mom and pop game in town - there's a Dunkin nearby at least - and that this was a locals place through and through. The interior is small, and it felt probably even smaller because it was packed with locals, all of whom were super nice to me. The door was held for me both going in and out, and milk was offered/handed to me for my coffee by a fellow customer. Any mild issues I had in moving around the room were negated by the hospitality. The back wall of the room and side counters are dominated by pastries, and there's a coffee station to the left of the entrance that's similar to what you'd find at a gas station convenience store - low maintenance for sure but gets the job done. The display of donuts behind the register caught my eye before anything else, so I opted for two of those - chocolate frosted and strawberry frosted. There were a few edgier flavors including a 4th of July themed blue one but I don't typically mess around with the classics. They were pretty tasty - decent size for sure, maybe a little cakier than I typically prefer, but the dough was on the airy side and I liked that they didn't skimp on the frosting. I grabbed an additional coffee for one of my top-tier chums (two of whom came to rescue me from a return walk down Route 9), and the total - two coffees and two donuts - came to a little over $5. We were all delightfully flabbergasted. That typically gets you maybe a caffeinated beverage closer to the city. Worth a stop for sure if you're in the area. In the low-key land of strip malls between Seaside and AC, I'd much rather go to a little standalone shop like this, as would my wallet.

Cakes are always fresh and very tasty

Another local business, charging credit card surcharge fees of 3.5% for debit cards, which is illegal in NJ. Look it up of you don't believe me. When I asked not to be charged, no one knew how to not charge me, which seemed odd since other businesses know how to bypass this charge. If and when this happens, and it's happening all over, save your receipt and contact NJ Dept of Consumer Affairs. I got my receipt today and am filing a complaint. Sorry. I'm all about supporting local businesses vs the chains, but the local supporters of these businesses dont deserve to get screwed over either.

Best donuts ever. I travel a lot, vacation in many cities and countries. Im known by my family to always find the "best" donuts in the area where we are staying and, unfortunately, Waretown bakery has set the bar so high, I cant give honest reviews for other places because I have a new low for meeting the threshold for "good" donuts. Waretown bakery takes the cake, literally and eats it too. Sorry everyone else, you just cant compete with the best. Oh, and the coffee cake is AMAZING too.

Jelly donut was just okay. Willing to go back to try the others. The girl at the front wasn’t friendly.

I do like this bakery. MY only complaint is that we bought your big aclairs I found them not fresh and was disappointed.

Clearly visible from the road. Parking available. Outside seating available. Good selection of cakes, cookies and pastries. All baking done on premises. Cannolis are especially good and the Irish Soda Bread is to die for. For whatever reason eggs are available for sale. Coffee counter is also available.

As soon as we entered Waretown Bakery we were greeted with the happiest "good morning" and the biggest smile. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming! The food is delicious every time and the prices are great! When we were finishing up our order the woman offered my 6 year old a cookie for the road. What a sweet gesture! This bakery is everything old school feel and consistently amazing!

We ordered a full sheet cake for my dad's 80th birthday party. I gave them a picture of what I wanted and it was EXACTLY like the pic!! The cake and filling (cherry mousse with vanilla buttercream icing) was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! Everyone at the party raved over it!! Best in town, been coming here monthly for three years. Prices have not risen in three years, you can’t beat dollar donuts! Try their glazed croissants, they are to die for.

I love that they support Lacey cheerleaders and football and probably other local youth sports. I have never had a better doughnut and the price is unbeatable. Why send your kids to school with Dunkin’ for the their bday when you Have this at a much better price and way better quality?! The woman who takes my phone orders is very nice and accommodating.

3rd time getting a custom birthday cake from them. They always do an amazing job and replicate exactly what I ask for and the cake is always delicious so satisfied with them I will always use them for cakes!

Excellent family bakery with friendly staff and delicious donuts and birthday cake!

We only had the donuts and coffee but we were happy. We’ll gladly come back and try other baked goods. They looked and smelled great. Donuts were delicious and fresh. A good variety with some classics and seasonal. Coffee was simple, nothing fancy but nothing to complain about. We will be back.

Delicious small bakery on Route 9 in Waretown. Better get there early so you have plenty of choices. We got there at 8am and all of their donuts were gone already. They were making more, but we decided on the baked goods instead.

Great staff..the baked goods are delightful 😊. The ruggalah's are the best I have ever had. I can literally just sit and eat these all day. With the different variety of them, just fantastic. The doughnuts are so fresh and airy. Jelly doughnuts 🍩 are FILLED with Jelly, not just a drop. This is a must try location!

We purchased a few items and every one of them were amazing ! The banana bread was full of chips and nuts . Their Blueberry Jelly donuts are to die for ! The blueberry cheese crumb cake was so fresh and fluffy , it was the best we’ve ever had. Thank you staff!!

I got some pastries and they were all very good. The raspberry rougala was excellent

We had purchased rye bread, hard rolls, donuts, and a cup of coffee. It was the best rye breads that I've had in a long time. Both seeded and plain were very good! The hard rolls were great! The donuts are to die for! The filled ones were really filled, not skimpy! They had banana cream filled donuts the first time we were there. They were so good. When we returned a couple of weeks later, we were told that they took them off the menu. They would make them but at an additional 50 cents. The regular price is $1. A cup of coffee is $1. Couldn't complain about that! And it tasted good too! The place was very busy too! Loved it! It was worth driving 45 minutes each way.

My husband and I were lucky to have visited for the very first time on National Donut Day and got some free donuts which were absolutely delicious! I got the glazed donut and my husband got the strawberry glaze. They both melted in our mouths. We also got a couple slices of cheesecake. Junior’s has nothing on them, NOTHING. Their cheesecake is so rich, creamy, decadent, and you can just tell that all of their ingredients are of the highest quality. We ordered a custom cake for our daughter’s birthday and I can’t wait to taste it! Besides their baked goods, very cool and kind people that work there. We really felt welcomed. This will definitely be a weekly visit which isn’t good for my diet but I don’t care. 😂 Thanks so much! 😊
