Amazing place, it feels like you are walking into your home to have dinner, the owner is super welcoming and friendly, the food is absolutely delicious, great quality, clean and tasty! The waiters are also very friendly and service is fast, I recommend them to anyone who is looking for good food and a welcoming atmosphere:)

We tried out a local Mediterranean spot, and it was a good experience. The food was pretty good, though not amazing. The environment deserves a B! it could look a little more put together, but I appreciated the music, which really set a nice atmosphere. All in all, a decent place to visit!

One of the owner is so generous and kind, she even brought herself free hummus and bread as a compliment! First time had hookah, let me tell you all, this place has everything from great atmosphere to great food! Could not more relaxed! Everyone is very professional and friendly! I will be back again.

My friend, the interior decoration of the place must be urgently intervened and renewed.

Staff and service were very friendly and nice. The food on the other hand was not good at all. Fiancé and I both had stomach aches that led to vomiting afterwards. Food did not look and taste cooked all the way through. Plastic “to go” cutlery was served at the table. Felt like the business cut costs everywhere possible including the food.

The last two times I tried the food. The quality has gone down. It does not taste fresh.

Just seemed a bit off. Stopped by to pick up some lunch, and while I received a good amount of food for the price, the entire meal was just off. Like it had been left out a couple of hours too long. Maybe we will stop by again one day to eat on-site and see if it tastes and fresher.

We have received the best service here! The food is fresh, authentic, and finger licking good! If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing out! Make sure you try the Fallafel.

Did Doordash order. Missing 2 orders of baklava. Contacted Doordash and they said missing items should be sent with another driver. Called Hala Cafe and they said to come pick it up. Now phone calls are being dropped as no voice mail has been setup. Food was good, cooked properly prepared correctly just missing baklava.

We came here based on the great reviews but found the food quality to be subpar. It seems to be more of a late night hookah lounge than a restaurant. The salad and rice were fine but the chicken shawarma seemed like old leftovers as it was dry and not fresh. The hummus was also lacking flavor. The chicken shawarma plate in the picture was $15.99. The garlic sauce was delicious.

Every dish was cooked to perfection. We had Hala good Hummus, Chicken shawarma, beef kabobs and gyro plate. The fried kubba popped. Crispy outside and moist on the inside. We followed our meal with a refreshing mint lemonade. The dining experience was satisfying and with great service.

The food here is fantastic The wait staff is super professional and friendly. The shisha was prepared very well and lasted a long time. The person putting the coals on came back frequently and checked on us often. We had some camamile tea and 2 gyro plates, with iced tea. They have to go cups also if you want to take your drink with you. There is lots of space here if you want to bring your friends or come with a party. You can bring your computer and do worn or school work, which is nice if you want a hooka and relax with no where to be for a while. Great place, stop by and check them out, you will love it!

The food was wonderful and the chef and wait staff made me feel at home. Big portions, perfectly cooked lamb and well-seasoned rice. Hummus was smooth and creamy. Wish I had found this gem sooner.

Honest Review: This was a 5 star experience all around. I was a bit apprehensive because me and my wife were celebrating our anniversary. We planned to go to a outrageously expensive steakhouse or restaurant on the north side. However I am glad we spent our time at Hala Cafe. The whole staff introduced themselves at different times during the night, and made sure our experience was pleasant. I felt like the owner hand picked only the best employees to represent his business. The food was great, however I would like a option to purchase a Beef, Chicken, and Lamb kabob instead of choosing only one. I think a huge fireplace in the back outside would provide a "center piece" to wow guests. However when going out we look for pleasant places to go, but also memories. Hala Cafe staff and their Owner really appreciate you being there and effortlessly make your night a pleasant one with lifelong memories. We will continue to come back often.

This place is a hidden gem! This is a Huka Bar however, we opted to utilize the restaurant. When we walked in we were warmly greeted. We decided to sit inside due to it being chilly outside. Our waitress Lilly welcomed us again. She was very nice and made us an amazing Topo Chico with mint and lemon! It was so refreshing and delicious. It was everything I needed for my stomach. We ordered our food and appetizer. Our hummus and Pita seemed fresh. I got the chicken Tikka and my husband ordered Beef Tikka. They were absolutely delicious! We would absolutely recommend this place for some delicious food.

Enjoyed our visit today! The food is packed with flavor and has consistently been good. Ordered some kabobs, hummus, gyro and sides. The staff is always super courteous and make you feel welcomed. Indoor and outdoor seating available and the restrooms are clean!

I used to always order from this place and I was trying to place an order and nobody acknowledged me for about 5 minutes, their Doordash tablet was ringing, another person came to pick up an order and the front guy who I believe is the owner was talking to another person who I think was also an employee or family member for about 2 minutes without even asking me if I was helped already, I know I am just 1 customer and they gonna be still doing good without my business but not even a 'have you been helped yet?' or anything, I am not ordering from here ever again

Had an amazing time with the falafel plate! It looked great, and every bite was super delicious. The staff really pays attention to making everything perfect.

If y'all are looking for Mediterranean food, Hala Cafe is an absolute MUST! The portion sizes are on point, and the flavor is *chefs kiss*. We got the Hala good hummus, and falafel for appetizers. The hummus was the perfect consistency, and the falafel was wonderfully crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. I had the chicken shawarma, and my husband had the beef tikka, and the meat on both plates was moist, and flavorful. I highly recommend the mint lemonade smoothie. I was not a fan of the Mediterranean salad that came with the plates, though I am a bit picky about my salads.

I always love coming here for New Years. They have an amazing spot on top of a hill in Helotes, and the service from the staff to the owners is always amazing. Not to mention the hookahs, food, and my favorite dessert the Little Judy top the cake.

Some of the best hummus we’ve ever had. The salad dressing was unique and amazing. The rice was delicious as well— with a hint of mint and otherwise spiced perfectly. The gyro, falafel and lamb chops impressed all. BYOB. Loved everything about this place! We’ll be back.

I love the food from this place, it is always fresh, tasty and great portion size. Butttt I just ordered a shawarma today and it went from being BIG and FILLING to a thin wrap with little chicken. So now it will take 2 shawarma to make me full which is crazy. Come on guyssss … I know this economy is crazy but why did y’all have to cut down on the shawarma in such a BIG way?

We came in one night a couple months ago late after attending sea world and the staff was friendly, food was great, atmosphere was great! The lamb that I good tasted great almost like a perfectly cooked cut of steak! Next time we are in San Antonio and in the mood for Hala we will definitely be attending.

Waited over an hour for food to even leave the store. Order was missing food and they blamed it on the driver. Substituted another dip for falafel because they were out. Containers were leaking. Dips were super runny and didn’t taste very good

This place has amazing food. The chicken shawarma is delicious. The burger they serve here is amazing! The Hummus is super tasty. I am sure all the food here is great. It is definitely worth it for the food alone. If you are planning to smoke they have great hookah! The hookah last for about 2 hrs and there is no limit on the coals like I have experienced at some places. Also, the servers are all super attentive. They are all sweet. The owner is really nice and makes sure you're taken care of. I enjoy this place. The only issue I ever have is sometimes when the guys who play games sit inside they can get really loud. I know a lot of people come to a hookah bar to relax and chill. This is a good place to chill and study during the day but in the evening on the weekends it gets super loud so don't plan on studying. The have live music sometimes and a belly dancer which is super fun! I enjoy this place a lot. It's worth it!
