Wow! Really great fresh food! We had a variety from tamales to a whole tilapia and it was all fabulous. It was well worth the drive.

Great food. Have not had anything bad on their menu. I knew regular stop for our family.

First time visiting and we are so glad we stopped in and tried. Love the food and owner was so wonderful. Definitely going back.

The food is so good! Got the chicken fajitas and took home a tamel dinner for my husband. Everything was delicious and fresh cooked. The owner came out and chatted with us, and she was knd and personable. Our visit was so enjoyable! Highly recommend !

Ordered to go . Fajitas steak tasted bland , no sour cream no pico , tiny portion of beans ,bland rice, won’t eat there again. The other place in town is better deal for much better food and bigger portions.

Food wasn't bad, but both my and my mother's orders were either messed up, or the menu is misleading. Mom ordered a taco salad. The menu on their website says "Steak or chicken. Flour tortilla deep fried into a bowl filled beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole sauce, sour cream, and queso cheese." She also asked for beans and pico to be left off. She got her food, and it was a taco salad bowl with lettuce and meat in it, and the beans and pico had not been taken off. There was also ranch dressing in it (???). She sent it back and had to ask for cheese, since the waitress said "it doesn't normally come with cheese on it." Directly contradicting the menu. We did not ask, but we were not offered a discount or anything. I ordered the California nachos. They were decent, but they did not have jalapenos on them, like the menu said they would. Not a huge deal, but it would have been nice. Our waitress was wonderful though! She was very attentive, made sure everything was okay, and apologized multiple times for the mistake. Not a bad place, just very weird that their dishes do not match their menu, and there was not much effort made to make it right.

Chiquis Cocina has been on my list of places to try for over 1 year. Food was good, service was great. I had a beef Tamale, excellent. Her salsa was really good too. Nice little place to stop.

This is a hidden gem. One of the best Mexican restaurants north of the border, and I lived in Mexico for 5 years. So I know a thing or two about Mexican cuisine. And Maria (Chiqui) is the best cook and best host. On slower days she will visit with every table checking in how our experiences are. Highly recommended.

Everything is delicious. When I saw the fish tacos pass by I decided that is what I am ordering next time!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican, look no further. Great prices with higher quality food than Springfield Mexican restaurants. Chiqui is so friendly and takes time to talk and care for her customers. Birra tacos and their guacamole are amazing!

The food here is absolutely amazing! Best chips & salsa in Missouri! The chili relleno is to die for! We'll definitely be making regular visits. My only criticism: I'm convinced there's no alcohol in the margaritas. They have a good flavor, but can we get some tequila, please!?

Service was great. Server was very friendly and attentive. Chips and salsa were great. Portions could be a little bigger. Biggest negative for me was that I like my Mexican food to have a little whang to it. I had the chili verde and it was tender but very mild in flavor.

This place is amazing! The food is fabulous and the service is spectacular. The food is made to order so you may have to wait a little longer than you would at other places but I promise it is worth it! Be sure to try the mango salsa in season! Everything is fresh. SO good!

The servers are not experienced but they try and what they lack the owner makes up for. The food is absolutely phenomenal and the owner is so sweet and on top of her game.

Such great food! The service was great. The waitress made sure we were well taken care of. The food was excellent. I got the steak Chimichanga, which was definitely the best I've ever had. The salsa was also good, and so was the queso. If you have yet to try this place, you should. You will not leave disappointed.

This place is amazing! We were stuffed after trying more than we should have. It was all so good, I don’t think you could go wrong with anything you order. We wanted to try a sopapilla so we said we would split one! They came out and they were bite size and a whole plate of them! They were so good! Order them even if you don’t think you can eat another bite, because you will!

Just tried for the first time. So delish!!! Our food was hot and so fresh!! The best Chimichanga I have had in a very very long time!!! Great service and the owner was so sweet and spent lots of time checking on us to make sure things were perfect!! The frozen sangria was the perfect touch with dinner. We will definitely be back!! Hands down our favorite Mexican restaurant ever! We eat here quite often and have never been disappointed! Food is always so fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend trying the mango salsa and the queso birria tacos, but really everything on the menu is delicious!

If you’re looking for “authentic” Mexican food, you won’t find any place more authentic than Chiquita Cocina. If you’re a redneck thinking you know what “authentic” Mexican food is, then this isn’t the place for you. Chiquis Cocina is the real deal right here in the Ozarks.

Stopped to eat here on the way home from a volleyball tournament and can’t say enough good things about it!! The BEST Mexican food we’ve had since living in Missouri. Everything is made from scratch and 100% authentic. Around 20 min from home and totally worth the drive. We spoke to the owner for a while and she’s the sweetest! If you are from the west coast and miss good Mexican food, this is a must!

This is absolutely my new favorite Mexican restaurant! We spent some time speaking with the owner and she is just the best! She cooks, serves, cleans, and does it all! She told us that she is very particular about the quality of ingredients they use, and cares more about the food she serves, than making an extra dollar. Majority of her menu is gluten free and she is willing to make anything gluten free. She was such a breath of fresh air and a reminder that there are still amazing people in the world, that take the extra step to care about their customers. We will definitely be back and send as many people their way, as possible!

The food is good. The restaurant sparkled , and the wait staff were there to make our meal a pleasant one! I just loved their strawberry chimichanga! One other thing! They really went out of their way to make my children special!

I have had a lot of different Mexican food in my day but by far this was as authentic as it gets!! Brought back memories of my Tias in the kitchen at family gatherings and boy it was nostalgic! I didn't know about this place and as a Chef myself, I was skeptical at first but they made me feel at home. The service was great and the food was amazing. 10/10 and cannot wait to try more things on the menu 😋 great experience 😋

Food was excellent, service fast, great meal

This was our 1st, but definitely not our last visit. Atmosphere was also enhanced with meeting the owners, and the food was great. With my wife and I being foodies, we both ordered different Chimichangas, then share for the tasting. They were both freshly made, tasting great and their beans and rice were the best we have had in SW Missouri. The touch of a small salad added to the plate only enhanced the experience. We will be returning within a couple weeks, with additional family members.

First of all the owner is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. The pictures don't do the food justice. So much love and flavor in every bite. The birria of any version is the best you'll have in the state. Hands down our favorite place. Take a chance and make the drive! You won't regret it!!

The food was great and the service was wonderful. Chiquis is super sweet and fun to visit with. The beef enchiladas and sopapillas were tasty. We can't wait to go back.

We had a wonderful experience with Chiquis Cocina! We ordered for a family gathering and had endless compliments on everything that we served. The tamales are special. Large, tasty, and beautifully presented. Everything arrived hot and ready to serve. The salsas are made from scratch. Chips were light and delicious, Spanish rice was the best I’ve had. I will definitely order again! Excellent service in addition to excellent food quality!

Great Great. We loved this place. We've eaten there twice and will surely be back again. Each time we've been there we bought their frozen tamales and took them home with us. If you go you won't be disappointed.

5 STARS!! Hands down some of the BEST Mexican food I have ever had. I consider myself a connoisseur regarding Mexican food and very picky on the authenticity of the selection of plates on the menu. Chiquis Concina carry`s authentic plates I have never seen in a restaurant and found only in a grandma's or mama's kitchen. I have never been to a restaurant with homemade food the authentic way. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Thank you Jennifer for an excellent service and Maria for all the incredibly delicious homemade food.

FRESH FOOD made from Scratch with quality ingredients! This is really hard to find in these small towns. This was amazing food! I had the lunch burrito and it had a delicious savory taste with perfectly cooked chicken. Great service, clean, bright dining room and food was served in a reasonable amount of time. Good portion size for the price. I will be going back!

My husband and I cant stop going back. We havnt tasted mexican food that fresh and that delicious since we were in Mexico 23 years ago. The BEST homemade tortillas ive ever had. The chef is just amazing! And its just the cutest little place out in the country. Very clean. Drinks are fresh and delicious as well!

We enjoyed our experience so much ! We are already talking about what we will try on our next visit . Hands down best authentic Mexican food we have ever had ! I would come back just for the guacamole but everything we had was delicious . Maria greeted us at our table and made us feel at home . We enjoyed talking with her and even getting a picture with her. The night got even better trying the chimichanga cheesecake and Maria surprised us with sopapillias ! We will definitely be back .

Absolutely the freshest food at any restaurant I've ever eaten. I ordered the "Chiquis Favorite" because it seemed like a sampler so that I could try the tamale, enchilada, and Chile Relleno. I was not disappointed at all. All the food including the beans and rice were the best Mexican food I've ever eaten in my opinion. I will be back!

This place is AMAZING!! We have not been disappointed with anything we have ordered. It is definitely authentic, made to order, has great quality ingredients, and their portions are large. You can tell they take pride in providing excellent food and service. No place can compare to their mango margaritas. When we order for pickup, the order is always ready, made just as though we ate in, and they never have forgotten anything. The owner is very personable and checks in after served to make sure we are happy with everything. Service is great, and drinks are always filled. The prices are great for all that you get ( we always need boxes when we eat in). The only complaint I have is that they are not open every day 😀.
