We usually do take out on Sundays. Great southern style bbq. We don't normally eat in. The atmosphere is fine, but there's nothing special about it.

For their price you get a large serving. Sometimes I can only eat a portion of my meal and bring the remainder home. You guys are great and it's alway a pleasure to do business with you all.

I think this place has Jesus himself cookin’ in the back, cz this has GOT to be the food they serve in heaven! Chicken stew, smothered turkey necks, meatloaf, white beans with sausage, mashed taters and them mustard greens???!!! Dear LAAAAAWD this place is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Amazing food created by a family that is truly proud of the meals they serve! The reviews were quite complimentary and I wanted to see this for myself. I had the fried chicken, sausage, fried ribs, yams, and rice! I also topped everything off with a slice of pineapple cake and Fanta pineapple soda!They were all fantastic! It was first visit and the staff …and even customers saw that I was not too sure of what to expect or order and everyone was so welcoming and friendly! Thanks for making the experience memorable! I was so excited and touched by the kind staff and customers that I didn’t even remember to take pictures of my meal!

All things being equal, Anointed Soul hits the nail on the head. This little place puts out some of the best food in town. Their daily specials are downright special with most entrëes coming with one or two scoops of a great rice stuffing. My wife loves it so much she gets more as her chosen sides. Give these people a chance. It's likely you'll be glad you did. For soul food in New Iberia, this is hands down the "anointed" one.

It's always been delicious. We usually eat there for Sunday lunch and the BBQ is great. Very friendly service. Went again today (4/16/23) and it's still as if not better than it's ever been.

This is a terrific place to eat. The people who own it are super nice, and make amazing home cooked soul food. They let me taste a "little bit of everything", the shrimp stew, the pork ribs, the spaghetti, black eyed peas, and smothered okra. I should say "what would fit the plate." Everything was incredible, to the point where when they asked what was my favorite, I said I couldn't pick just one, it was all amazing. Do yourself a favor and go to Anointed Soul Food. I will be, from now on, quite often!

The atmosphere and people are amazing,,let's not forget bout the food. Now I eat very lil carbs so i only got a smidgen of rice because that's what I asked for but the other stuff like the porkchop and gravy, I was like pour it on. Delicious! I also had some sort of broccoli souflee, yum! We had pokeno there and they are super amazing. Great place to eat! Don't forget to try the turkey wings!

Went into this place on a whim. It is a cafeteria style restaurant. Upon entering we were a bit lost. The host was just leaning against the table. He pointed us towards the food. The food was delicious! No prices were seen and no help except from the man serving. Food is great service could be better.

Sooooo goood and comfy. Very good soul food ! Un excellent déjeuner ! On y mange les recettes du jour. Aujourd’hui riz arrosé de maïs, black beans au boudin et épinards avec des côtelettes de porc parfaitement cuites. Dans cet état où tout est fri cela fait du bien de manger une cuisine parfaitement assaisonnée, goûteuse et légumière !! Et quel accueil ! On reviendra 🫶🏼

One of the best soul food restaurants I've been to since I've moved to New Iberia. The ambiance of the restaurant reminds me of big mamma's house. Me being a Texan southern hospitality is a big thing for me. Everyone in the restaurant are down to earth people and love to serve you the best of what they have to offer.
