We've wanted to visit here since it opened, and we finally did. It was nice, our waitress was very lovely, and the food was good. We enjoyed all the tapas we ordered: charcuterie, cod fritters, sweet potato hummus, muhammara (it was spicy for a sensitive tongue!) The portions were very hefty, and it was easy to share them around the table. For the mains, we got a filet mignon and the chicken. Honestly, the chicken was kind of dry, which was disappointing considering all the small plates were so good.

My wife and I visited Aura Modern Mediterranean for the first time a few weeks ago in celebration of her birthday and it was a wonderful experience! The decor and atmosphere there is chic and reminded us of our trip to Greece a few years ago. The staff are warm, professional and very attentive---especially our wait staff person Bill (not Phil! - he'll get the inside joke!) and made us feel like we were longtime patrons. And the true star of the night was the food---calamari, branzino, cedar plank salmon, spaghetti squash, lemon and olive oil cake---what an exquisite cornucopia of culinary delights which exuded a kaleidoscope of flavors---and it was AMAZING! All in all, my wife's special was made more so by the fantastic folks at Aura---we truly appreciate you all and look forward to our next visit!

Amazing food and great service. A fancy feel in home town Mechanicsburg. The Forest Mushroom pizza is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Bill was a great server in the upstairs area.

I ordered takeout and got there a bit early so I sat at the bar and order a Manhattan (it was excellent). I happened to see the Executive Chef and mentioned that my wife is vegan and eats clean, so he went and cooked up extra mushrooms, carrots, and broccolini, and it made my wife's day. It's hard to go out and find good food that works with her preferences and Aura was super accommodating and made excellent additions to help us out! Really appreciated. Above all else the food is excellent and I can tell that they actually care about the ingredients that they use; even the arugula on my salad was amazing. Well done, Aura, and thank you.

This place is spectacular. The service is fantastic, the drinks are amazing, and the food is even better than all of that. Not sure it gets any better than this. You won't necessarily meet your next best friend there, but go for everything else. It's a culinary wonderland.

Completely stumbled upon this place when we realized a different restaurant was closed on sundays. Absolutely blown away. The staff, the food, the atmosphere are all incredible. Highly recommend! Seems like the perfect place to take guests from out of town; we are now anxious for our next visitors just so we can bring them here!

Great restaurant excellent wine list food was phenomenal and service was beyond amazing

We stopped in for dinner in a Friday evening and sat on the patio. The menu looked really good so it was hard to choose. They were out of mussels and calamari so that narrowed the appetizers down for us. We had some wine and shared baba ghanoush, caprese salad and shrimp pappardelle. The food was as delicious as we expected it would be. Our server - I think her name was Nicole but not sure - was personable and fun. We did end up getting dessert to go (not pictured) and that was very good too. The atmosphere in the patio was laid back and breezy. It was not noisy despite being so close to the street and some outdoor seating near the brewery. Parking looked pretty full but we found a spot no problem. We didn’t have a reservation and did not wait to be seated. I would go back again to try some of the other menu items for sure.

Aura was amazing! Our server Natasha, was great and full of energy. We ordered an array of dishes and the pizza was phenomenal. We’ve been here plenty and something was different about this visit in the best way. The staff were lovely and food tasted amazing. We will be back for sure!

The beet hummus and Greek salad were absolutely amazing, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. My personal favorite was the brunch burger - the bacon was truly to die for. The ambiance of the restaurant is stunning and inviting, but what truly set our experience apart was the exceptional service from our server, Mike. His attentiveness and hospitality were top-notch, making our visit extra special. A five-star rating without a doubt! Can't wait to return for another delightful meal at Aura."

This was our first time at this establishment and it was an enjoyable experience. It’s a beautiful facility, our server “Corey” was excellent and the food exceeded our expectations. We will be back in the future!

Mother's Day Brunch... simply the best

Didn't have the best experience on a date night last Saturday (May 4, 2024). There were really two main issues - one is that my own dish, the filet mignon, was pretty lacking. I took partial responsibility for this as I went to a place billed "modern Mediterranean" and got a steak, but for the price point I would have expected to be swept off my feet by any dish on the chef-curated menu. The much bigger issue is that nearly every alcohol order we placed came back as "oops, not on stock". I'm not some Michelin-star reviewer but I like to plan a decent pairing of wine with an appetizer and entree and with almost everything on the menu being out of stock that became very difficult. The dessert port I hoped to enjoy was also out of stock. The positives were our waitress, who did her absolute best to take care of us despite the constant unexpected stock issues, and my wife's dinner, the monkfish Puttanesca, which was divine. So I guess learn from my mistake and order something a bit closer to the 'core' dishes, if you decide to give Aura a try. Kinda a bummer, without some big external motivator like a big coupon, or some group event being held here, or similar I am probably okay with skipping Aura in the future. It was overall "Okay" for a price point at which you very much expect "Exceptional".

What can I say? The drinks? AMAZING. The vibe? so cute and cool! The food? TO DIE FOR. I dont usually do a happy dance while eating but i sure as hell did last night! Our waitress was amazing too!

Beyond amazing! We had a wonderful server (Corey) who made some excellent recommendations for tapas options. Everything we had was fresh, delicious, and decent size portions for the cost. If Brussels are on the menu, highly recommend.

Aura was beyond fantastic! It was such a good experience with the beautiful interior, friendly staff, creative menu, and exceptional service. Our food selections were presented with perfect finishing touches and a flair of a truly fine, experienced chef. Our appetizers and entrées were created with the freshest ingredients and bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Aura has been on our radar since they opened, and we are so glad we finally made it. It will not be our last! We can’t say enough good things about the restaurant, the service, and the chef’s creations. It seemed obvious that the owner and the chef truly cared about the clientele.

Main thing to note was excellent service and especially the unique and top-rate food. The chef’s display and use of different spices, sauces, textures and tastes was incredible. We have a history of eating out at very unique and quality places; me because I can’t cook, and my wife because she travels a lot and is an excellent cook.

I attended happy hour about a week ago and Meg was serving me. She was also working at the bar. I loved her attentiveness and enthusiasm about the items on the menu. Many recommendations that were made, I was found interest in and actually ordered. I believe I had a strawberry mojito that was prepared by Meg and it was very tasty. My dinner and desert was satisfying as well. I had a great overall experience.

We moved from the Philly area and have been looking for restaurants that have more of that city feel, and from the moment that we walked into Aura we did not feel like we were in Mechanicsburg. They've done an amazing job of creating a beautiful atmosphere! Now let's talk about food... The lamb kabobs are to die for - literally exactly how lamb should be cooked, the steak was cooked perfectly to my liking, the calamari cooked to crispy perfection. Everything was so fresh and we can't wait to go back and try more amazing dishes! But I think what put everything over the top for us was the service. From the moment we walked in the host was accommodating, our server was attentive, Skylar the manager went above and beyond, was friendly, and answered our questions, and Jason the bartender made a mean drink, was personable, and made us feel right at home. Thanks for an amazing experience, we'll definitely be back!

We sat at the bar and had a wonderful time!! Great service by Trevor, awesome food and delicious drinks. Top picks were the pineapple margarita and salmon platter. So so great!

My first foray into Aura Modern Mediterranean Restaurant came with a mix of anticipation and curiosity, drawn in by the allure of its well-acclaimed cocktail offerings and an enticing menu that promised a contemporary twist on Mediterranean classics. We began with drinks. Mine, a Spanish G&T, concoction recommended by our personable waiter, featured Botanist Gin, Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic, grapefruit, rosemary, and juniper. While the presentation was a visual treat, the overabundance of ice diluted the essence of the ingredients, leading to a rather underwhelming experience. My wife's choice of the Winter Spiced Sangria, though slightly more flavorful, unfortunately, didn't live up to our high expectations either. A surprising departure from typical fine dining norms was the absence of complimentary bread prior to our entrees. Although our waiter was cordial, his attentiveness was lacking, which made it difficult to request clarifications or additional items. The culinary aspect of our visit shone brighter. My order of Lyulya Lamb Kabobs, served with mini pitas, house-made tzatziki, and fresh basil, was pleasingly executed, delivering a good but not extraordinary taste experience. The star of the evening, however, was the Shrimp Pappardelle chosen by my wife. The dish, a harmonious blend of saffron poached shrimp with black garlic pappardelle, zucchini ribbons, and shrimp cream sauce, was a testament to the chef's prowess in marrying flavors and textures. As the evening drew to a close, we were presented with the option of dessert, yet the lack of enthusiasm in description or recommendation from our server led us to decline. Reflecting on the overall experience, it's with a sense of missed potential that we ponder our return. Aura Modern Mediterranean Restaurant, while shining in moments through its culinary offerings, particularly the Shrimp Pappardelle, fell short of creating the memorable dining experience we had hoped for. The journey through the menu was a testament to the kitchen's capabilities, yet the overall ambiance and service left us wanting. In the competitive landscape of modern Mediterranean cuisine, it's the finer details that elevate a good experience to great. Unfortunately, Aura didn't quite reach those heights for us.

Everything was wonderful! We were initially sat at a table that the sun was glaring on. Immediately, without us asking, we were moved to a better table. Natasha was our server and on top of everything. We didn't have a long wait for anything. Brunch was fantastic! We will certainly be back for an evening meal.

I came in here as an industry worker skeptical of the price points for what they served at this establishment. I must say without a doubt this is one of the best experience I’ve had in the Cumberland area. My significant other and I came in here on a late Valentine’s Day and were completely and utterly satisfied. Bill our server was attentive to the point we almost got emotional, if you’re in town local or visiting please give this place a chance if it is in your budget. Well worth the price tag for a special occasion.

Loved environment, Tapas, bread

My experience at Aura was the best dining experience I have had in years. The food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delightful. The portions were very generous, even for the small plates. I highly recommend Aura if you like flavor and an authentic Mediterranean experience.

i could be mistaken but tried to order take out an hour before closing and got turn away. not sure what was going on people still inside drinking and eating. they had the front doors locked 😔

Aura was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday! The chef did a fantastic job balancing the dishes with bright, fresh flavors. The bread is chewy and perfectly crunchy, ready to dip in all the dishes. Trevor, our server, did an amazing job of staggering our plates to keep the dinner moving in a timely manner that never felt rushed. Knowledgeable about the menu and offered help when deciding which dessert to choose. (By this point we were all so full but couldn't help ourselves from ordering something to share.) The olive oil, lemon cake does not disappoint. Anticipating my return already.

My mom and I tried it tonight. We went to the Cork and Fork there often. We were pretty disappointed. We sat at the bar; the service was not good. Sat there waiting for one of the three bartenders (bar seats maybe a dozen or so) finally got drinks, looked at the rather pricy menu for probably 20 minutes, had to look up a few things on Google to figure out what they were, because we had horrible service from the bartenders and couldn’t ask questions. Finally, because I was right beside the pizza oven, pick up spot for the servers, I saw a bowl of mussels. They were not on the menu. So I finally flagged down a bartender, asker her about them, she mentioned specials, and said she’d try to fine a special menu for us, we were like, please?! Yes we want to see the specials for Pete’s sake. We each ordered mussels; absolutely awful. So undercooked (or over cooked??) half hadn’t opened, the others just fell apart. Fortunately, the gentleman working the pizza oven and I’d say the expediting area gave us some attention and he was great. Took them back and we ordered calamari, which was an A+, as was he. I had a hunch he might be an owner-we asked his name. Anyway, we left and went elsewhere, and my mom paid the bill (mostly comped, fortunately) and gave him the tip and said the bartender did nothing, no tip for her. We asked his name and John Walsh, the executive chef as it turns out (I looked him up after we left) definitely saved our experience from being a total bust. At NYC prices, the service should be impeccable here in Camp Hill (or anywhere, really). I might go back and try the pizza, but only because John Walsh was so professional and super nice. Heck, I’ve done a ton of restaurant work, he was the nicest executive chef I’ve ever met! So try it, I hope it’s a better experience for you!

Our server, Meg, was one of the best we have ever had. She is knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. The chef has had an amazing journey in his culinary experiences. This area is so fortunate to have these talented people.

This a must try restaurant for those who haven’t tried it yet. Everything was prepared to perfection. Many tantalizing flavors in our menu selections. Service was excellent. Chef and staff doing a fantastic job.

I recently dined at Aura a Mediterranean gem, and it was a delightful experience! The flavors were authentically Mediterranean, and the service was top-notch. Ill definitely be back for more!

Miss Cork n Folk. This new place didn’t change anything but food menu. Classy & upscale dinning. The sever was very helpful. Cocktails were good as usual. I was looking for some upscale dinning around this area. Very nice.

It was our first time at Aura. The overall experience was good. It was easy to get a reservation via their website. The atmosphere and cocktails were enjoyable. The red beet and goat cheese hummus was very tasty. The caprese pizza was okay. I feel like there’s something amiss.

Great new spot in Camphill! Although I was sad to hear cork n fork closed this is definitely a welcomed new flavor to the area love the subtle changes to the interior to give it a Mediterranean flare are really well done the dishes have an amazing presentation and the flavors are music to your tastebuds each bite explodes and your brain immediately turns to craving the next bite I got the CHAR GRILLED IBERICO PRESA my wife got the nightly feature scallops everything was on point and our waitress was perfect plenty of knowledge of the menu and origin of the ingredients can’t wait to return and they also just started offering a Sunday brunch!

Wonderful, amazing and very delicious best Mediterranean food ever eat,good for family moments and friends

The service was absolutely amazing. We went to dinner and my boyfriend was not feeling well. Bill was not even our server, but he was totally in tune with what was going on and offered to box up the appetizers we already had and get the kitchen to box up the dinner order to go. The filet mignon was absolutely amazing.

If you haven’t seen the inside of this place, you’re missing out. The design is comfortable and classy, and I really loved the upstairs in particular. My husband had the three bean soup and loved it. My favorite was the carpaccio. Lovely cocktail and wine options, as well as a nice selection of beer. There were even a few non alcoholic beers on their list and I really appreciated that! I love seeing zero proof options on drink lists! Meg, our server, was attentive and professional. We toured the apps tonight, and we’ll be back for mains, coffee, and dessert soon. Thanks for a great experience, Aura.

Visited Aura and they've done a nice job re-decorating the spot. Food was very good. Service was also very good. We started with the calamari which was excellent and a nice portion. Had a pizza and it was also very good. Then we had the monkfish which was plated well and generally good, but here's where the value problem creeps in. Monkfish is a very inexpensive fish. Averages maybe $8/lb retail. We're not talking swordfish, sea bass, or halibut: it's monkfish. So, a portion of maybe 6 ounces, even with a nice arancini cake and pretty sauce is not an expensive dish to put on a plate. So why is it $42? Also, I think other mains are priced pretty high. That's my only gripe. Just be prepared for a bit of sticker shock. Some nice cocktails, although wine list is very pedestrian, so we had one cocktail and one draft beer.

SOOOOOO good every time. My friend was visiting & she is a foodie & LOVED the fries and the service was incredible as always. Can't wait to go back! Haven't been? Try it! Best new spot in town for years to come!!!

Great change from Cork and Fork. The pizza was amazing and the kebabs we ordered twice. Drinks were good and desert was amazing too. We didn’t try and real entrees other than salad so we will have to go back. They have an amazing fish selection so we have to go back and try it.

Was here twice in the last month. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is lovely. Our server, Liam, was fantastic!! He is very friendly and accommodating.

I’d have taken photos but the food didn’t last long enough and definitely took my focus. Absolutely incredible. It’s a blessing to have Chef John in the area. The food was absolutely outstanding, and was an answer to having yearned for food close by that is elevated to the level that he takes it. The octopus was killer, the tartare to die for, and the Halibut didn’t leave anything to be desired. Be sure to save room for dessert and espresso or a dessert wine. Hopefully I get to take photos next time, as I will definitely be returning.

Checked out the hype of the place. It's true! I would go back again for food and drinks. They have some new varieties in cocktails and their menu is small but modern. The interior is cozy and is great for candlelight dinners

Start with happy hour from 4-6pm, then move into dinner mode! Brian & Jen created a truly uniquely SPECIAL spot in a town that needs more happy, bright places to eat & socialize! Can’t wait to go back!!!

This place is AMAZING! I love good quality cuisine and this place exceeds all of my expectations! Drinks and bartenders were wonderful! Very personable and really gave great suggestions. Aaron was our waiter and took great care of us! Very attentive and knowledgeable! Offered his suggestions when asked and he led us to some great choices! We had the red beet hummus ( TO DIE FOR!!), Halibut, Greek Salad and asparagus small plate. EVERYTHING was prepared to perfection! Looking forward to bringing others with us next time!

So happy this Gem moved into the neighborhood! Aura Modern Mediterranean has such cool vibe. From the moment you walk in the door you are transported to a different place. The music and ambiance are both welcoming and exotic at the same time. The service was impeccable. Our server knew the menu and was quick with recommendations and the owner answered all our questions and gave us his recommendations as well. We had a variety of small plates to start and they were all great. My favorite was the tuna tartare, grilled baby octopus and the Red beet and goat cheese hummus. The main course was outstanding. I had the Char Grilled Iberico Presa and it was delicious. After dinner we moved to the bar and had some espresso martinis. The bar staff were friendly and fast. This restaurant is a great place for an intimate dinner and a great place for gathering with friends. Can't wait to go back!
