Every since we found out about this place, we have yet to have a subpar dish. Every thing we've tried has been really good.

I wish I would’ve tried this place sooner! Excellent jumbo shrimp, spicy hush puppies, even the fries were crispy and seasoned. Definitely worth it!

Kind of had a few questionable customers lol. The owner and staff were super friendly and made sure to check on us. Food is great and very good priced. Everything was hot and cooked fresh and still came our super quick. I will definitely be back.

Super friendly staff and really good food. We arrived about 30 minutes till closing and the staff made us feel very welcome.

SO, SO good! The portions are huge & the food is delicious! Friendly staff, cute, casual atmosphere. The fried catfish, shrimp & chicken were the best I've had.

My grilled chicken salad was delicious And filling. I recommend trying it.

It was very HOT in the restaurant. But, I understand having air conditioner problems and what it costs to service/repair them.

So far I haven't got anything that was not good. It's fantastic. The fish, shrimp, chicken strips, green beans, and Cole slaw was awesome!! I highly suggest eating here.

I was there to pick up a door dash today and the lady with the hijab had an attitude the entire time and was on her phone and sitting down and ignored two people at the window and mocked them after she closed the window. She started complaining about how me and another person were there for door dash orders. She was on her phone even though the cooks set out 6 boxes (my order) and I was staring at her while she was just sitting on her phone and when the other worker said something she gave me a nasty look back and then laughed at me when she kind of arrogantly sat down four empty cups and Said "there's your four lemonades" and didn't even tell me where the drink fountain was. In total she was a female dog to put it very lightly. Tell your staff to get their act together.

They food is very good, but they customer service is horrible. Well the young(African American) lady they have working the drive thru and front counter had a bad attitude and she have no professional customer service skills at all. And that I will not be going back there, just cause of the horrible service.

The 3 piece whole catfish dinner was good

One of my favorite places to eat whether I am visiting here in Louisiana or in South Carolina. Food is delicious and prepared well. Everyone is very nice.

They need a little updating and the menu prices do not reflect actual prices. The drive thru girl is sweet. It's NOT fast food. But it's good! Don't get the green beans they taste like they were dumped out of a can and warmed up. Red beans and rice tho, that goes!

Grilled fish perfectly seasoned. Just wish a place with southern eatery in the name would have fresh brewed tea.

Good food friendly service and atmosphere I went in for lunch it was full of working class people who were there for a good meal everyone was happy and pleased with the service I recommend 5 whole wings, not 5 pieces. I said 5 whole wings and double red beans and rice!

Unbelievable test, incredible food. I am houston. One of my friend brought Mr here to tired on. Outer looks was not impressive but inside of resturant remind me typical sea food in lousiana. Since I found they don't serve pork. Being a Muslim this is very important for us to know how they prepares thier food. In this resturant I can eat or order without any worries. I break my fest today. Staff was so courteous and friend. Infact most of custom they call by name. I love it here. I highly recommend everyone to visit one time. I won't regret. I wish the owners and management all the sucess. Ameen

It was my husband and self first eating there it was fabulous... I got baked fish- so divine ..... Hubby got fried fish - amazing he says Definitely will be going back for more great food at our new favorite spot ...... People was so, nice and atmosphere too.....

My first time here. Just rolled into town and wanted something close by to take Momma to lunch. The home-town cozy atmosphere with the first step through the door let me know I was in for a treat. Didn't feel like making decisions so we ordered the daily special written on the chalk board at the counter. Service was fast. All I can say is... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? Big pieces of fish and Jumbo shrimp both fried to southern perfection and hot! Hushpuppies, green beans and fries finished off this basket. I will return here and tell everyone I know that comes this way. Oh... and cake choices for dessert. Don't pass up this place!!!

Update: 09/16/23 - Sam's continues to impress. Wife and I went back today and it was excellent. The shrimp are outstanding. Original - Sam's is a welcome surprise. It's small, out of the way, kind of hidden and easy to miss. But! It's worth the effort. I had the double burger and my wife had the fried shrimp. It's hard to find a place where we both love the food, but Sam's made it happen. I really recommend it.

Came in to eat with my family we are From Texas! This place was so good! Food came out Fresh n Hot!! Fish was fried and seasoned well!! Portions were way more than expected!! We took leftovers Home!! We will definitely be back!!!!

Highly Recommend! Get the fried shrimp plate or a Philly Cheese Steak! The shrimp are huge and the cheese steak is super tender! The seasoned fries are really good as well!

A great variety of food but that double meat cheeseburger will have you second guessing your decision to eat it because it's awesome but gigantic..

If you leave here hungry it is your fault. Fully here it is amazing. The service is top-notch and it's a very clean restaurant. In the right place a little old-fashioned for that good. You will not be disappointed.

A friend treated me to supper. He'd eaten there several times and mentioned how large the shrimp are. They are definitely jumbo. The fries and coleslaw are very good as well. I highly recommend Sam's Southern Eatery.
