I spent roughly 6 weeks in Stowe and discovered this little treasure on my last night. If you have not been yet… it’s a must go to place. The food is expensive… even for Vermont and totally worth the price. I got lucky and got to meet Tony.. the owner of the restaurant. From what I saw he treats all the people there like friends. There was a sense of coming to see a friend at his place … engaging conversation.. a real hidden gem. I had the veal chop which was delicious !!! Go at least once

First off the owner and staff are lovely. Chatted up my chatty 6 year old the second we walked in and made us feel at home. Food was absolutely delicious- we had the escargot, mamas chicken and the bolognese baked pasta and tiramisu- all exceeded our expectations!

Don’t miss this amazing spot on your next trip to Stowe! Not only was the food delicious but the service and staff were remarkable. I do not even know where to begin! This is one of those hidden gems that you never forget! As soon as we walked into the door, we were greeted like family and they had our table waiting! Reservation system is flawless! From the moment we stepped into this wonderful restaurant, it was a 10/10! Each delicious course came out hot, bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly! In my opinion the BEST restaurant in Stowe, hands down! Cozy, family like atmosphere with something for everyone! Veal was outstanding and cooked so perfectly, juicy, tender and flavorful! Chicken parmigiana and veal parmigiana were also absolutely delicious! We had the most decadent desserts! Tiramisu like I was home again! Cheesecakes were out of this world and the chocolate torte is absolutely decadent! Could not have been a better experience! We will absolutely be returning!

Surprised by all the stellar reviews... Maybe we were there on an off night. We thought the food was average at best and the prices were crazy for the quality of what we received. (To be fair, we have the top red sauce joints in the country where we live so maybe our standards are skewed.) The eggplant parm was NOT good (sorry.) The eggplant was thick and watery, as though it had not been salted before cooking. Thankfully it was not breaded, at least. The veal medallions tasted like they had come out of a freezer, rather than fresh. The pasta side was decent. The dessert was ok, although the eclair cake tasted exactly like a tiramisu with a sweeter cream (they'll be miffed if you tell them that, and try to explain the difference to you and the "real Roman" tiramisu, as though you are not very smart.) Very strange experience. I honestly don't recommend. But everyone else seems to love it!

Peanut butter pie was outstanding. Chicken parm breading was soggy I wished it had been thinner to get a crispy effect but the sauce was nice and homemade which I appreciated. Table cloths chosen would not have been my choice but I can understand the functionality.

The service was fantastic. Nice old school atmosphere. Food was absolutely delicious. Burrata app was so good. Veal parm was delightful. Strudel was to die for. What I didn’t like was potatoes served as side with veal parm and would have much preferred pasta. The string beans were very peppery, and veal parm was stacked so only cheese on top piece. Will definitely return though.

I am Sicilian and I grew up in New Jersey where my family owned Italian restaurants and I can honestly say this is one of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had. The owner Tony is an all around great guy and makes you feel like family. We started with the escargot which was phenomenal, and then we had the bruschetta which was also outstanding. We ordered the lobster ravioli which had the best sauce I’ve ever had. My brother ordered the eggplant tower and we all agreed this was the best eggplant we’ve ever had. Lastly, my mom ordered mama’s chicken which was extremely juicy and just delicious. All the meals came with salad and the salads were even phenomenal. Tony makes everything fresh and you can definitely taste it! We finished with the bread pudding which we all agreed was the best bread pudding we’ve ever had. We live almost an hour away from here but will be coming back regularly. This is probably the best restaurant in Vermont in my opinion.

Was recommended by a friend to check this place out. Get a Reservation especially Friday-sunday. We sat at the bar and got incredible service by our bartender Ryan. He gave us different wines to sample, went over specials, and made the BEST espresso martinis I've had on the east coast. Owner Tony stopped by and gave us some great stories and the history of this beautiful spot. Very down to earth people and a great setting. Food is authentic, and farm to table. so if you're into pastas loaded with heavy cream and Americanized Italian dishes you're in for a different experience. Cesar dressing was delicious, the cream of spinach/gorgonzola soup I could eat twice a week and the carbonate was huge we split it and had left overs.

Their food was excellent but their attitude was something else. I wish the owner just told me that they didn't take children under 3 years old when I emailed him for a reservation. We felt very unwelcomed and were rushed out. We had our toddler with us. We got all the looks from other people when we were dinning. We were seated separately in front of the restroom though. I had searched for kid friendly restaurant before I made a reservation. This one showed up as kid friendly. I realized it was a big mistake as soon as I stepped inside. DO NOT go here if you have a little kid. DO NOT go here if you don't drink wine. My husband took my kid out so we wouldn't bother anyone. I still felt so uncomfortable with others' looks mainly from the employees. We ordered lamb shank and manicotti. They were delicious. Since we had to rush out, I had to pack 1/2 of my meal and ordered a dessert for togo. We might bothered some people since we have a little one. They ruined our appetite with their looks. What a shame we couldn't enjoy the food at best. This place is going to loose me and all of my friends' families as customers.

Been to Italy and this is the closet I’ve have both in hospitality and quality in Vermont. The eggplant tower was best eggplant I’ve ever had, the Italian margarita was sublime, the mussel special was out of this world. Even the small side plate of caesar salad was amazing. Waiter was very attentive and very nice as well.

Went here on a whim because the place we had planned for was closed (We rearranged our trip a bit for the weather) and what an experience we had here. The food was incredible. The waiter was personable and friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. The fresh. Read and homemade garlic butter was an amazing start to this masterpiece of a meal. Husband and boy ordered the Manicotti which had generous portions of duck and chorizo inside, I got a taste and it was delicious, but Im glad I went with the risotto because it was an elevated experience. The artichoke hearts on top were beautifully roasted and all of the flavors were wedded beautifully in this dish, a tangy almost bitter from the arugula and artichoke paired well with the rich creamy fresh parmesan, and the cherry tomatoes gave a refreshing citrus element to cut through the richness. I will dream about this dish. For dessert we got the most wonderful treat, an affogato. What a gift to find this on the menu. Boy ordered the Limoncello Masterpiece, which he somehow found room to eat the entire thing even though he was stuffed from his meal. The price is well worth the experience of great quality food and service, treat yourself and create a standard of taste that will live in your memory as easily one of the best meals of your life.

Do yourself a solid, and go see Tony! This lovely establishment tucked behind Top Notch Resort will have you wanting to return several times before your checkout! I dined here several times & not once did I regret doing so. The food, no matter the dish, was spot on. I could give you a break down on how the sauce was beautifully coating the pasta with just the right amount, how the vegetables were cooked perfectly, the bread so fresh, the desserts- a perfect sweet ending, but those are all things that many restaurants have been able to find their sweet spot on and do well. This place is worthy of such high accolades because of how genuine the service and hospitality are from the moment you walk through the doors. Tony can introduce you to all the locals who have become regulars while making you feel just as special. Following his lead, the staff exudes exemplary hospitality service throughout your dinner. They are genuinely creating core memories of excellent dining experiences. If I ever find myself in this part of the world again, you can bet your last buck I'll be stopping in to dine with Tony and his team!

My partner and I have taken 2 trips to Stowe, and we ate here both times. We came back the second year because we had enjoyed it so much the first year. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy after a day of skiing, and the service is great. But what really brought it home this time was the generous, kind, and thoughtful assistance of the staff (special shout out to Tony, Bob, and one other kind staff member whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch) when I realized after the meal that I had locked my keys in my car. They let us sit in the restaurant after closing while I called AAA, and Tony very kindly offered to deal with AAA when they arrived in the morning. Both Tony and Bob ALSO offered to drive us back to our hotel. They went above and beyond, and were very neighborly. In the end, the situation was resolved with their help, and my partner and I both felt very well fed AND very well cared for at Trattoria La Festa. It is not just good food, good service, and a lovely ambiance, but also genuinely kind people who care about their neighbors and visitors, and will offer help without a second thought if you’re in a tough situation. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be going back on our next trip to Stowe.

We came to Vermont for a weekend getaway, and we came here for dinner. Let’s just say this is hands down one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been too. From start to finish the group of us 10 girls were so full, but we couldn’t stop eating the delicious food. For starters we had the bread and whipped butter, the whipped butter was one of the best spreads I’ve ever had. Then we had a Caesar salad 10/10!!! For entrees I opted to share with a few of the girls, so we could all try a little bit of each entree menu item. We shared the Fettuccine con funghi, eggplant tower, and the burrata. The fettuccine was the best truffle fettuccine I have ever had ! The eggplant tower was delicious, and so was the burrata. The staff was so kind, friendly, and extremely welcoming. This seemed to be a family owned home restaurant, with the best service, that gives you such a happy feeling. Everything tastes so fresh, and is very flavorful ( I usually ask for garlic& pepper on the side, but didn’t need to add anything). If you are visiting Stowe, definitely add this restaurant on your itinerary ! We also got the tiramasu for dessert, which was so rich and creamy and flavorful!!!!

This restaurant is welcoming from the moment you walk in- friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious. From Patty's mood changer (Cosmo) to the Ceasars salad to dessert. We had bruschetta appetizer (a special off menu), the lobster ravioli, and fettuccine chicken Alfredo. The tiramasu was scrumptious but the limoncello dessert was to die for! The portions were perfect. Will definitely be coming back here on our next trip to Vermont.

Let's cut to the chase: This is one of the best restaurants in or anywhere near Stowe, period. We've visited three times in August and tried pretty much everything. The first time we had two dinners that blew us away. The salmon carpaccio appetizer, the manicotti, all excellent, but the star is the carbonara. Beautiful chunks of ham and a perfect white cream sauce with light, perfect linguine. Here's how much we like it: four days after our first experience we had special visitors in town, and of course this was the first place we took them. They're from Rochester, NY, which has more than a few Italian restaurants, and they agreed that it was as good or better than any Italian food they'd ever had there. Outstanding!

We went for an early dinner (5:00). We were greeted by one of the owners, Tony. Watching him throughout the evening he really appears to enjoy what he does as head of house. He also chatted with us as we were leaving. Matthew was our server and did a fantastic job. I had the Veal chop and it was excellent. I asked for med rare and was worried when I cut it off the bone and it was rare. Matthew came over when he saw the meal come out quicker than he expected it to (his words). He was concerned that it would be too rare. He came back 3 times to confirm that it was ok. As I cut into the chop it was perfect. Had it been cooked more at the bone it would have been closer to medium than medium rare. My wife had the Veal parm and it was also excellent. The Veal was tender and tasty. The only complaint I had was that I had no room for desert, so I to take the chocolate decadence home. All of the deserts are made in house by one of the other owners, Patty.

Amazing dinner! Great hosts and plenty of attention. The specials were exotic. My cod was cooked to perfection, on a bed of fragrant arugula. Potatoes were crusty, spicy.... yummy! I love garlic and it was a common theme throughout. My husband had the manicotti which filled his tummy well. Lovely dinner. Well worth it.

Chef Tony and his crew were so welcoming, and the food was so wonderful and memorable. Everything was so fresh, delicious, and you can really tell it’s homemade. They have a great wine selection. The desserts were to die for. We will be back every time we visit Stowe now.

A must-go restaurant in Stowe. Some of the best pasta and bruschetta we have ever had. Toni was so welcoming and treated us like family when we arrived. Great service and we will definitely be coming back regularly.

Great service and delicious food. We started crusty chewy bread with garlic butter which was brought quickly and than salad. I had the Tower eggplant which was perfection. Highly recommend for wonderful Italian cuisine

I am 100% Italian from NY. This place is legit! The food is authentic, and unbelievably delicious. The menu selections were awesome and I was so blown away by the service. My wife and I ate there for NYE and it was absolutely fantastic! Make sure you eat dessert, it was unreal! I highly recommend this place!!!!!!

Another great experience at Trattoria La Festa, while in Stowe this week. Great food - we had lobster ravioli and duck manicotti after starting with some Bresaola which was incredible! We finished it off with tiramisu which was amazing as well. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

This place is spectacular. Very pleasant staff and the service overall is outstanding. Wine recommendations were spot on to go with the food. We ordered the lobster ravioli, swordfish la puttanesca and the duck manacotti, which were all very good. However what made brought everything over the top was the desserts; the limoncello and the chocolate bread pudding (special) were just spectacular. Overall, the five star rating reflects a combination of excellent staff and food (especially the desserts).

Absolutely fantastic. The food was phenomenal— we booked La Festa for a wedding weekend kick off family-style dinner. Could not have been happier. The staff were thoughtful and welcoming. The owner, Tony, made us feel like family. A genuine group of people that care about your presence, meal, and everything in between. Truly a heartwarming venue. Would highly recommend taking part in the experience of dining here.

We came from Wisconsin to Stowe for our honeymoon. My wife, Julie, chose Trattoria and we cannot say enough about our dinner. It was the best Italian food we have ever had! She had the manicotti and I the Scampi. Both were fantastic! We shared the Vanilla Cloud Cheesecake ( with blueberry topping) and we would have taken two whole cheesecakes home with us if we could. It was literally to die for a hundred times. All of the staff was very friendly and service was excellent. You must go here!

We made reservations for a larger party. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner like he knew us for life. Our waiter made recommendations I had the veal marsala pictured. Everything was fabulous from the homemade bread and garlic butter, the salad, my entrée, and yes we ordered the tiramasu for dessert. The staff was not only friendly, but was exactly what you would want and beyond expectation. The atmosphere was amazing as well. Definitely the place to go for amazing Italian cuisine and friendly service.

Surprised to see any rating less than 5 stars. The staff is incredible, Matthew was such a great server and helped us with stellar recommendations on food and a wine pairing. The carrot and ginger soup is an absolute must; we also enjoyed the lobster ravioli and carbonara (very generous portion). Will be back again.

This place is fabulous! Tony, the owner is friendly and courteous and always there to make sure your dinner is everything it should be! Our waiter was terrific, the bussing staff was spot on to clear dishes, refill wster, very attentive. We started with mussels for an appetizer which was incredible. There was garlic, bacon, different cheese in a cream sauce. Just the appetizer would have made the night amazing. We ordered the special, lobster ravioli stuffed with lobster and topped with claw and knuckle meat, in a cream sauce which was better than anyone could have ever expected. We also had the shrimp scampi with pennie, red crushed pepper ( not too spicy at all) in a butter, wine, olive oil, cheese, garlic sauce, with 6 jumbo shrimp and a large serving of penne pasta, which we ended up taking about half home. Both dinners came with a ceasar side salad. The sparkling peach Moscato wine has become on of my family's favorites and the draft Switchback beer has become very popular, we always bring some home. If that wasn't enough, we ordered a wonderful desert, not sure of the name, but I would say a chocolate decadence type desert, which had a slice of floorless cake, creamy in texture, along with a chocolate like truffle, with the consistency of a brownie on the outside, but darker chocolate, with a creamy milk chocolate center, a scoop of chocolate ice cream, topped with whipped cream! It was incredible! The restaurant itself is a traditional Italian appearance inside, and beautifully kept flower and spice garden. It is very clean, there is a small bar, and has a very pleasant atmosphere. We consider ourselves so very fortunate to have found this most wonderful restaurant, which has become our favorite..no trip to Stowe would be complete without having dinner at the Trattoria La Festa.
