Best place for casual get together with friends for drinks

82West Distilling is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink. Although I’m not usually a rum enthusiast, I don’t mind indulging in a good tasting. I enjoyed the ones I sampled and the cocktails were tasteful too. If you’re in the area, be sure to drop by for a sip.

Arrived at 9pm today 2/1 and the bartender immediately said (with no other greeting) "I'm closing early because I have somewhere to be" Oh. Okay? And your "somewhere to be" isn't...working until the business closes at 10pm? Anyways. If it was presented any other way maybe I could have been more understanding. But seeing other people/cars arrive after my group of 3 walked away confused at her "greeting" had me interpreting she just wanted to close a slow night early to hang with friends instead.

The best rum in Tampa. These rums are so good they go well just by themselves! You should check them out. Oh...and by the way, the prices are very affordable, you definitely get more than what you pay for!

Really chill spot with amazing rum-based drinks. Very nice and relaxing location. Parking can be kind of tight in the back but all in all it’s well worth the visit

Had a painkiller and a mojito. Cassidy crafted the mojito correctly, and it was pleasant and smooth. The painkiller was decent, not great, but no harsh flavors. I’d gotten a bottle of their rum just after they’d opened. First time actually getting drinks. Would visit again when I’m back in town.

Best chill spot to cool down and watch the game!!!! Also they hold classes for Thuderstruck Bonsai. Ty for having us

Fun atmosphere and great drinks!

Nice neighborhood spot :) We went around 9pm and there were only 4 other people there so not as busy as I expected since we went on a Saturday night but a perfect place to chill and chat with who you’re with 😊

Great drinks music and neighborhood bar vibes. The people who hangout here are very friendly and the cocktails are great too. Some very memorable nights at this joint. Do visit and get their signature drinks.

The rum is top notch! The cocktails are great but a touch on the sweet side. I would love to come more often, especially for happy hour, but the music is always nightclub-loud so you can't really chat or chill. It would be cool if they made it more lounge-like until the sun set. You come here to party, yell and maybe dance later on. Most people are in nightclub outfits. Music is diverse, I liked the DJ but not the band.

While visiting Tampa we wanted to try local distilleries and this was our first stop. Their website was unclear, so I called and was told we could taste everything they have. When we arrived the guy behind the bar acted like he was surprised when we asked how the tasting worked. We each got four "tastes" for $10. The bottom of the cup was barely covered. I had to hunt down the bar guy to order drinks, but truly, their rum's flavor is weak and gets lost in the drink. After waiting about half without seeing a server we gave up on getting another drink and had to hunt him down again to pay. Don't do it. Just about any other place would be better.

Tonight’s vibe was unmatched, in service, atmosphere, consciousness, etc! The manager on duty Kay was phenomenal. I felt at home, welcomed, and I’ll be back 100000x

I was there on the night the previous reviews were made, the staff was NOT rude, the couple that came in was extremely disrespectful and embarrassing. The woman in specific came into the facility without intentions of buying anything, and came and yelled at the staff and harassed them. The wonderful bartender we met named Stephanie was nothing but respectful. It was not the other way around, those people are liars, and created false narratives. The staff was awesome, fun, and respectful. The environment was great, will definitely be back, they make great drinks and play awesome music.

Fantastic atmosphere and staff! Great variety of rums and played into a great mix of new and old creations. The deep blue berry rum is excellent and I highly recommend the Tampaloma

This is a must visit! Such great cocktails, delicious rum, friendly people. Really impressed with this place! Have never experienced a distillery like this! Also, my husband and I both got drinks with dairy and I requested mine dairy free. The bartender made them both dairy free so I could try them both. It’s really those small details that make a good experience fantastic!
