Expect your service and meal to come with a negative attitude. Would have gladly given a 25% tip however both waitresses didn't check in to see how we were doing, we had to ask for more water and overall they showed signs of neglect. They were basically robots. I have worked in the service industry for years and this place did not impress me one bit. The servers probably forget to realize their tip reflects "THEIR LACK of effort to give good service" and think we are cheap, but we are definitely not. Their loss. Food was good, but next time better to drive over to Kailua instead for Mexico Lindo

Where do I start, I visit the island multiple times a year to visit loved ones. I am a Mexican and a Mexican friend suggested this restaurant. The food was great but my goodness. The customer service is awful. The three young girls looked Haggard like they were having a bad day. Don't like your job quit. Tenian Cara de fuchi. Parecian amargadas I sin ninguana clase de carisma. I really hope none of them three were owners. Because if they are. You need to change your attitude.

Absolutely the best authentic Mexican food I have had on the island! The salsa had just enough bite. I had the enchiladas and my husband had the chimichangas both were ‘roll your eyes’ fantastic! Service was great drinks were strong. Love this place!

Horrible customer service. There were two girls working there one of them was nice and the other was very belittling. My mom who doesn’t speak English well asked her if she spoked Spanish and she very rudely interrupted and said no. That’s fine if you don’t but you there no need to have an attitude specially when you work at a Mexican restaurant. We asked about the tacos and she said they only serve tacos ala cart on Tuesdays. HOW? It’s a Mexican restaurant???. The atmosphere was trash. It’s very small inside only 5 tables and the salsa for chips was TRASH it tasted like out of a can. We ended up cancelling our order very politely and paid for the drinks I ordered and leaving. Customer services is important. Like I said their service there needs to do better.

Food was good and got lots of it but I like it spicy and it wasn't. Green and red sauce a little bland but chip dip was perfect.

Great place with good food. Also a good selection of tequila and other spirits and beers! Inside seating, bar seating and outside open air patio seating available. Patio area is not only a cool place to hang you have full service available. Great atmosphere and live music a couple of times a week.Check it out!!

Not the best service from the waitresses. Females waitresses specially the short Asian girl, she has a condescending/rude attitude toward customers when asked basic questions about the menu. She even gave us the check without asking us if we needed anything else or if we were ready to leave. I personally felt getting kicked out 40 mins of us eating. Owner should train their employees about basic manners and customer service in restaurant setting, I wouldn’t go there again.

Live music on a Thursday night, plus quick and friendly service. And we were happy to notice that the musician set his volume to the perfect level for the small space. Loud enough to be lively and enjoyable, not so loud that we had to shout to hear the conversation at our table. We had 4 different kinds of burritos, and every different variation was delicious. My husband and sons have a big appetite, and they each felt stuffed before finishing the macho "the big one" burrito. As a funny novelty, there is a life-sized cardboard figure of Dwayne Johnson in the bathroom, offering you tequila while you tinkle. 😜

Beware when ordering drinks here and whatever you do don't bring young children in to dine. My wife ordered a premium margarita and was severely disappointed... the glass was so tiny and I swear to God, there must have been zero to none tequila( maybe a couple of drops?) I swear when she asked me to taste it I thought it was a virgin drink ?? Also the bartender/ owner was dropping the " F word" with such regularity when talking to his friends and customers, it was totally inappropriate, rude, and very offensive in a business/restaurant environment. He has the mouth of a Gutter rat ! The food has always been decent here but nothing spectacular like the mainland ! Most of the Mexican restaurants in Hawaii are just average at best ! They could really use some lessons from Incas Mexican Restaurant in Moses Lake, Washington state where there's over 75 absolutely delicious authentic Mexican dishes on the menu and the best margaritas anywhere, just a few sips and you're buzzing. Food is ok, just stick to the beer at least you know you're getting alcohol ! Oh, yeah and don't bring your kid !

This is my GO-TO spot omw to Mililani. The food is amazing 👏🏽 I try to order something different each time, and have never been disappointed! They're clean, food is great, and their LIVE MUSIC 🎶 makes this restaurant my fave!♡

We tried this place for my birthday and the food was delicious. Fast service and we sat outside with our daughter. It's a small place but it was so good the flavor if their food and guacamole. I definitely coming back and recommend to friends.

Very Nice, the food and drinks were excellent. I enjoyed being there. The second time I went, there was live entertainment. You can have a very good time for two at a cost of $65 dollars including dinner and their variety of margaritas. I didn't regret it, I'll be back again.

Ordered the carnitas to go (for my husband) and the tortillas were soggy from being placed underneath the food. The food is almost always good, but we were disappointed this time.

Was surprised to find decent Mexican food in Hawaii! I didn’t come in with the highest expectations being from California, but I wanted to see how it was done here. And they absolutely exceeded my expectations. The food, the margarita and the service were all excellent.

Went to dinner and I was very disappointed with the food. I order fish tacos, I got shrimp tacos. I didn't wanted to send it back because it would have just taken longer to get our food. The tortillas were soaked in water from the lettuce not being drained. The tacos had no flavor, the rice was bland and the beans had a weird taste. My husband plate was even worse. He ordered garlic shrimp. Shrimp were swimming in oil and were overcooked. No flavor and tasted nasty. We asked for more chips and salsa but never made it to our table. Not only the food was bad but the customer service was horrible. We have been to this place back in 2017 and was different then. That was our experience. The place gets packed, people waiting to be seated. Not sure why.

The queso tastes like an aged cheddar fondue. The mushrooms were delicious. A note to the cook. "Nacho cheese from Taco Bell" is a yellow "cheese mixture" and not actually cheese. Queso Blanco (blanco, meaning white) is often made with queso fresco, a white crumbling cheese. Insulting my husband by assuming his understanding of queso was equivalent to nacho cheese from Taco Bell was both unnecessary & unprofessional. His understanding of queso is from his life in South Texas, surrounded by a large Mexican population and his own family who are from Mexico.

Great experience here! Hawaii isn't known for its good Mexican food, but this place challenges that stereotype. Everything was great and we had zero complaints. I got the Macho Burrito with steak and it was massive. My friend got the crunchy tacos and quesadilla starter and he really liked them too. Overall, we left full and satisfied with the food and service. We'll be back!

I got food, no obnoxious waiters, fajitas and other food is really solid. Not the best in the world, but, more than likely the best on the island.

The food was good. Very standard Mexican fare. It is not comparable to what you would find in California, or in the Southwest. It's small inside, so a large party over 6 people would be hard. The outdoor patio would have been nice if the temp was a little lower. Service was rushed.

The food is really good. My personal favorite is the chimichanga.

The Chimichanga and Burrito were both excellent and generously portioned.

I've been coming (now going) weekly for almost 2 years and the service is so bad I will not be returning which I am sad about. Love the guy that sings on Tuesdays but not worth dealing with the poor attitude of the severs. Last week when we went we sat over 25 minutes without anyone even coming to take our order after we had drinks. Left $5 on the table for the horchata. Please post if you change your servers.

For a few years now, I have been coming here because the food is really good- quite possibly the best Mexican I've had here on the island, as someone who's from Southern California. However, after my recent past visits, I won't be back until a new round of servers are hired. Absolutely none of the girls there are friendly. If you are a picky eater and so happen to ask for no garnish, they give you an attitude. If you just want all rice and no beans, you almost always will still get beans and you have to return it. Every time I've called ahead, I know to check in the car for accuracy before I drive away. If you got the wrong order and you send it back and ask politely for what you ordered, they don't show acknowledgement or consideration and say a simple "Sorry, I'll get that fixed." I've had my plate just taken away without any words said. When my food returned that time, it was like she was mad at me and placed the plate down and walked away with nothing to say lol. The only time I've been shown a tiny bit of kindness was from the owner (I'm assuming) which is a guy who came to me from the kitchen with the correct order, after remaking my food very quick. He apologized and thanked me. Yummy tasting food is NOT worth the attitude and nasty facial expressions. What a bummer.

3 weeks of food poisoning and two different antibiotics got me through the meal from this place.

Been there before WILL NEVER GO AGAIN. My family was turned around unexpectedly 46min before closing on 27 July 2023 with the weak excuse, “We’re gonna close early today.” It’s not the only restaurant to have done so but seems unique to Oahu. Disappointing as we had family in town who wanted Mexican food and I vouched for this place but NEVER AGAIN.

Most expensive water down margaritas, should have gone to 7-11 for a slurpee and add my own tequilas. Food didn't have much taste but the garlic mushrooms was delicious.

Ohh Man, crab enchiladas is the way to go (if you can get them before they are out). Also, shrimp tacos, the taste is so fresh. We also had the ceviche and alllll goood. We were lucky that they had live music on that Sunday. Great atmosphere. James y Chris were phenomenal on service, funny 2. Can't go wrong with this place on Mexican food, but bradda, you have to try this crab enchilada.

We really used to like this place. The food was top-notch with good presentation and fantastic flavor, and the service used to be great. The food is still quite good, but not as good as before. However, the service is no longer any good. Every time now we have to wait too long before anyone comes to our table, we are rarely greeted now, our servers always seem upset and look like they hate their jobs. We have had staff spill drinks on our table and be annoyed and rude when we ask for napkins to clean up their spill after they just walk away. We found hair in our food once, and not only did they roll their eyes at us when we brought it up, they took the plate, did not apologize, just tossed the plate on the counter, stood behind the bar, then after maybe 5 minutes, rudely asked if we wanted a fresh plate. I used to love this place as it is one of the only authentic Mexican restaurants on island, but it makes no sense to spend my money to be treated so poorly. It makes me sad that this is no longer a go-to place for me.

Quick service, food was tasty, and their micheladas were refreshing.

Ordered a dry carne asada burrito with rice, beans, and cheese. Very simple order. Received a wet burrito with only meat, cheese melted on the top, rice and beans on the side… went back in to say this isn’t what I ordered. Had to pay for a new burrito and was charged extra for them to put the rice and beans on the inside… The workers were so confused….definitely won’t be back. Meat is so oily burrito was falling apart by the time I got home.

I will say this place flys under the radar and should be blown up! We went in after seeing it on accident one day. We loved the food specifically the wet burrito was delicious. I have to call out the service though. I didn’t get a refill on my soda nor get asked about a check I had to walk up to the counter to pay. They seemed a bit rushed to take my order when there was no tables being serviced at the time. By the time we left there was a guy playing a guitar for tips in the corner and three other tables had filled up. Overall I will be back and hopefully the service piece was just a hiccup. Oh I forgot to mention, they have a full service bar too.

BAD service. The waitress needs to find a new job! We were celebrating our friends birthday and had a party of 10. From the start the waitress was very unwelcoming and had a chip on her shoulder. Dunno why? We even offered help to move the table around but she gave us an attitude. Get another job outside customer service!

I had the tacos 🌮 on Tuesday. I also had the horchata . You don't get a choice. You only get carnitas (pork). I got a chicken enchilada kid meal for 7 dollars plus a drink. But they forgot the drink and almost forgot the meal. Hahaha 😆

Food was extremely salty. Let the waitress know the food was salty and both of them tried to ignore me. Everything about it was horrible! Bad food and bad service, very unorganized. An employee was having his dinner break, watch what you say and your language. Taco Bell is around the corner, just an fyi. Reading the reviews about this place, mostly about canned chicken and horrible service, I believe it!

I had the carnitas taco plate and WOW. The food was full of flavor and had big portions. Some of the better Mexican food I’ve had living two years on this island. When I picked up my food there was a gentleman playing the most beautiful Spanish music. It was such a nice touch to add which made the place feel cozy and authentic.

The menu is via QR code, the customer service was not great but not bad either. The Fajitas was very good and salsa that came with the chips was pretty spicy.

I like this place. The food is very good. Sort of a CaliMex menu. They are always fast with their food. Got the sizzling cheese dip and that was delicious. Definitely going back again.

We loved this place! The food was Ahh-mazing! I had the street tacos and my friend had the Verde burrito….Plus, the salsa was the BOMB and the margarita were on point The staff was friendly and shared how we could thank the chefs through the window. Highly recommend this place!

Food was pretty good; although service, was really lacking. We sat outside and felt really neglected. Three other tables around us vocally shared similar feelings. Will give it another chance at a later time to see if anything changed though - if no change, takeout is still an option. 😄

Came here on lunch break during a weekday and was able to get a seat immediately. Parking is plenty with indoor and outdoor seating available. The food came out fast(a little too fast maybe) but still seemed pretty good. Ordered the platter of nachos, a plate of flautas, chimichangas, and one of their lunch combos..The portions... BIG... Actually ended up not finishing food cuz of how much there was. If you're not looking for anything over the top, and you just wanna eat somewhere mexican for lunch, this place will most definitely satisfy you!

Acapulco is a small neighborhood Mexican restaurant in a strip mall in Central Oahu. We liked the food so much that we ate there twice in less than a month’s time. The food is very tasty and portions are very generous. We had the tostada and enchilada plates. Each plate came with 2 of each entree, beans, rice and chopped lettuce & tomatoes. The enchiladas have lots of meat which can be ordered with shredded beef, ground beef or chicken. They also serve complimentary chips and salsa. The restaurant is following COVID protocols with temperature checks, social distancing, masks, contactless menus (need to scan QR code on your phone) and sanitization of tables. I don’t know what the capacity of the restaurant was prior to the pandemic, but there are currently 4 tables inside and 4 tables on the patio. Service was good and food came out quickly. Takeout is also available.

Just add me to the group who loves the restaurant. I just believe their taco salad is the best on island. As of now, they are doing sit down ( with social distancing) and take out. I choose take out and didn't get my chips and salsa. I hope it was just a mistake this time around and they missed adding it to the bag, which is an additional .15. I have to Acapulco 5 stars because the food is just that good and I am willing to come back for it when I am in the neighborhood.

We discovered Acapulco several years ago during a business trip. We have eaten there several times since. We haven’t been able to be back since January due to COVID but will be visiting again as soon as the quarantine lifts and I can get back to the islands! The food is great, the staff very friendly, and the menu is varied enough for our tastes. Thanks, Acapulco!

The bartender was awesome. I got super ticked at the waiter guy. He brought my take out containers and I was daydreaming instead of putting it on the table or saying excuse me here's ur box. He decides to wave it in front of my face 😮 I was shocked. All my stars are for the bartender and the food 😁
