Fantastic pies! The apple pie was my favorite. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

We have been going here for decades. Really an overall great shop that is friendly and cozy although a little spartan in decor. Over the years the product quality has shifted back and forth. Sometimes great, sometimes not so much. Like many other companies they experienced growing pains and quality control issues. What really separates Achatz from many others is that they have managed to regroup and get that original quality back once again. There is easy parking, They are Leader Dog friendly and do have a wheelchair ramp. However those who may need the ramp should be aware that if they arrive in the last 30 minutes of business that ramp might not be accessible as they pull in the cafe tables for the evening. Double crust pies are our favorite. Pot Pies are in my view a direction they should rethink if not just abandon. They have coffee drinks at this location and the cookies are scrummy as well. No matter how you slice it a slice of pie and coffee while watching a Holiday tractor parade in Armada is getting mighty close to my idea of heaven.

I would be ashamed to sell.a beef pot pie with no beef in it OR SEASONING. This place has gone down hill! $10 for an itty bitty pot pie with 1 itty bitty piece of beef. No wonder Grant didn't want anything to do with this business! UPDATE 5AM: I've been up most of the night dealing with this & I only ate 1/2.

The second time we had they're pie.What a disappointment,this time was lemon meringue.Tjr crust was terrible.Not an original achatz pie crust at all.Will not be back

I don't know where to begin, it's pie paradise. Good lord have mercy, that cannoli pie is the last bite I have before the dirt nap!

I am there once a month, due to the distance , I enjoy everything that's offered. I also have shared the dessert and food menu with other's, you won't regret it. So many great treats.

Unfortunately no exception from the American businesses, where profit comes first - overpriced. Having spent half my life in each, the the old and new world, I have witnessed that the mark-ups are much higher in the US, and that quality falls short at the same time, also due to a lack of good recipes, lost in the Atlantic Ocean, I assume. Especially the pie shells bear witness of an industrialized food processing; I cannot otherwise explain such shells. Btw pie shells ought to be made from yeast dough. Often people give great reviews, because they don't know any better. My American wife was in awe when we had pies and cakes in France and Germany - out of this (new) world, for sure.

You never been here before it is awesome! We had their homemade soups and chicken pot pies it was kind of expensive but I thought it was worth it I will definitely go back

Great food, outrageous prices! I purchased milk and had to return because it had turned! They refunded, but condescendingly said I was wrong, it hasn't turned; it literally made me sick! I purchased another milk and it was fantastic! Listen to your customers!

Love this place! Just love it! Their pie is great. The milk they have is fresh. The atmosphere is very homey feeling. The staff was super friendly.

I've been buying homemade pies from this company for years. As soon as you take your first bite, all you can imagine is that it was made, by hand, from Grandma in the back. I found out that they have a local location where all their home-made pies are made right here, at one of their 8 local locations. I've watched them grow over the years, so stop in and take a pie home and find out why. Awesome!

Great quality, great service and a wide selection of items! Much more than pies! While the prices are a bit higher than some other bakeries, the service and quality more than make up for it!

The quality of their homemade pies are beyond compare. I miss the larger pie they used to sell. It was the perfect size to have for holiday celebratìons. But that is the only thing l have ever been disapointed by. The shoppe is adorable, and service is always friendly and effeciant.

Kinda disappointed. Poor husband asked why I was crying after coming out. To be fair, we hadn't been there in a long time. Since CV19 started. P. S. I was crying because I couldn't get my son's favorite pie because they would have to cut into a whole pie to get him two slices. My son is extremely hard working, and such a sweet young man. I did make him a pie when we got home. Not as nice, but he was happy. We had bought eight slices that were available for our other son and my husband. 💜

Nice people. Lots of stuff to look at besides pie. Lots of pies already made, not everything but you can pre-order online and get anything They fresh made a banana creame pie for me fresh. I left with Meat Pies, jelly and a yogurt smoothie too. I really didn't shop. My wife made me go and I was crabby when I went in but did NOT leave that way.

My brocolli with cheese soup was good but not great. The sourdough bread was excellent but I wasn't offered butter and I forgot to ask. They had Michigan 4 berry cream cheese pie samples that seemed outdated and not tasty at all. I had one little nibble and tossed the rest. The way they offered the samples was quite elegant though.

Very cozy little place, not open on saturdays but sunday they are from 8 till 6

Needed a slice of heaven today. I found it at Achatz. Had a simple lunch special, chose the Hungarian mushroom soup with chai tea & a slice of rhubarb pie. No seats available, sat in my car enjoying the quiet & delicious lunch. Also picked up the Lemon Sunshine pie that is first class awesome. Girls were working diligently, but still were kind, & attentitive

We had an awesome experience the other day here. My daughter wanted a slice of pie and the girls working here were so helpful hooked us up with a fresh slice because they didn’t have one in the case, I also ordered an amazing iced coffee and they even suggested the awesome milk in the glass bottles now we are hooked and will be back almost weekly for it! Such sweet people and such a good place we love our local businesses!Thanks 😊

This location is excellent! Before i became an employee i was a customer. The Caramel Nut Apple pie is amazing! The Michigan 4 Berry Crumb is my all time favorite. The staff (and now my fellow employees) are warm and welcoming as well as prompt in serving you. Five stars hands down!!

Best pies around...as good as I've ever had!

After having a disappointing afternoon I needed something to pick up my spirits. What could be better than a piece of Achatz pie! I pass by the Armada store all the time and have to force myself to keep going but not this time. Annette, who manages the store, was there with a hello and a smile. She listened to my woes and helped me pick out not one but two pieces. My favorite is pecan and I also got a wonderful cream pie with pineapple bananas and wonderful cream. No matter when we stop someone greets us and recommends something new to try. A great place to meet old and new friends!

The nicest people work there and if you want a good lunch. I recommend the pot pies. Never left the place without a smile on my face!
