Food was incredible! Very charming place. Some of the best ramen I've had in Louisiana.

Warmest and tastiest Japanese cuisine on a rainy summer evening of New Orleans. Apart from the food, the healing plants and inspiring artworks inside the restaurant are such a delight to look at. The owner is the kindest person ever. Don’t miss the house-made curry beef rice, it was so impressive that I couldn’t believe I’m eating such authentic dish in the US.

Great fusion dishes. The food is fresh. Portion size will satisfy you. The Cajun tuna poboy was flavorful and bright tasting.

This place has the best ramen and is cute as a button. Vegan and vegetarian friendly (and approved by my picky vegetarian friends)!!! They have lots of super cute plants inside, I just love it here. Not kid friendly, there's a plant that actually eats kids here, thank God.

I wanted to like this place when a friend invited me to meet her there for dinner. My food was not to my liking, my friend liked hers. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated and there were living plants that were under grow lights and very healthy. The soda machine was broken and I had the feeling it wasn't going to be fixed anytime soon. I hope it was an off night and the problems are fixed because the people were very nice and eager to please.

My daughter and I got delivery from here recently and we really liked it! As the name suggests it is Cajun food with an Asian twist. Sounds crazy but it works! We ordered the Yakiniku Po-Boy, and the Teriyaki Chicken Po-Boy. We preferred the Teriyaki, but both were delicious! Prices are reasonable for what you get. Can’t wait to try some of their other offerings!

Ive eaten my way around Tokyo a couple of times and am routinely disappointed in Ramen in USA (outside of the japanese chain restaurants here in nyc/la) but not this time! It was a welcome surprise how much this ramen slapped! It tastes pretty dang authentic! Will come back to try more tings, highly recommend!

This was a nice laid back place. Their service system could definitely improve, maybe by hiring more people. My food (dom buri) was just ok. However, my husbands tonkotsu ramen was phenomenal. I look forward to going back and having it myself.

Don buri (IYKYK) and spicy ramen with extra spicy garlic oil. They know authentic Japanese cuisine here. Even the potato croquettes were awesome. This is the place place so far in New Orleans for ramen. The quality is simply unmatched.

Not only was I blown away by the indoor plants growing amazingly in this restaurant, but the food was just as mind blowing! I will absolutely be back here and I'm also more house plant inspired. Also, that chili oil in the little jar, you want to buy that. Amazon. I'll be carrying it in my purse from now on.

Finally, a good ramen spot in the city. I've tried almost all of the ramen spots here and nothing even came close to chain restaurant ramen in Japan. Ajun Cajun is as close as you're gonna get to a decent bowl of ramen in the city. The price point is also bearable compared to the $18 bowls at other places. I had the tonkatsu and the broth was creamy, had a nice depth of flavor and all of the toppings were on point. My only wish was that they had the soft boiled egg, but I can't complain too much. I also had their pork dumplings and they were also spot on. 100% I'll be back and probably frequently!

Tried the miso ramen (corn+egg+butter) super flavorful, definitely one of the best ramen in louisiana, having been in japan they really did a great job. The katsu don is also very good. Must try!

The food here is absolutely amazing. Food gets five stars. Unfortunately, they’re ALWAYS closed for random reasons and they NEVER update their website or provide any way to find out whether they’re open on a given day. I’ve tried to come here like four times in the past month during regular hours and they’ve been closed every single time. They’re entitled to close the restaurant whenever they want, but they really need to somehow indicate when they do so.

f I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. The ramen I tried was PHENOMENAL! I promise, it's the best ramen in New Orleans. The tonkotsu ramen here blows other area ramen shops out of the water. As a Japanese girl that appreciates good ramen, Ajun Cajun ramen tastes authentic. This comes with no surprise because this shop is one of the few Japanese restaurants in New Orleans run by actual Japanese owners. It's a must try spot for anyone who loves ramen! The ramen is as authentic to Japan as you can get in New Orleans. We tried the miso and the tonkotsu, and they were both fantastic! Taste-wise phenomenal, portions were generous, and the prices were very fair ($14). I loved the tonkotsu and can't recommend it enough, but my boyfriend loved the miso more. They cook their pork bones for the broth for two whole days here, so the broth is just packed full of that rich decadent flavor you need in ramen. As a side note, we also tried the oyako-donburi ($12). Delicious! Tastes like my grandma's home-cooking in Japan! General overview, this is a super cute casual space with cafeteria-style dining. Meaning, you order and pay at the counter and help yourself to drinks. They will bring the food to your table, but then you toss the trash and bring the dirty dishes to their bins yourself after you're done. I actually love and prefer it this way. (This might be how they keep their menu prices so reasonable compared to other Japanese places!) The space is decorated with tons of plants and lights for a cozy feel. It feels like a comfy day-time coffee shop, but they are open for meals only from 3pm to 9pm. I've been told the restaurant started off exclusively doing pop-ups at festivals, and they decided to open up a permanent location a few years ago. If it hadn't been for the pandemic, I probably would have heard about this spot sooner! This is a family-owned shop where you'll probably get to meet the mother/daughter duo. Momo (the chef) and Angel (front of the house) were lovely! My only regret is that I didn't discover this place sooner!!

It's a walk up order . Really great atmosphere !! Loved all of their decorations . Food mixes Japanese and American cuisine ! Wife had spicy yakinumo chicken po boy ! It was better than my prime rib po boy . But in saying that my prime rib would be rated 10 on a 1 to 10 basis ! Fantastic dining !!

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere. A delicious swirl of Louisiana influence with a solid asian base. Our host was very friendly. She brought us a special cartoon plate, spoon and bowl for our toddler. Paying up front is a nice step away from the traditional awkwardness of dealing with a check at the end of the meal. We will absolutely be recommending Ajun Cajun to all friends and family that visit.

This place is so cute! I love the vibe. I usually get it delivered but I went in for the first time & I'll definitely be going back. The food is always good & hot, with so much flavor. There's even an outside eating area which will be fun to enjoy with nice weather. The restaurant is easy to find and get into, there's no stairs, so the lot just gradually increases until you get to the door, very accessible.

I was nervous when I paid and tipped upfront, and I was nervous that when asked the employee how many hours the broth was boiled and she said “we make it in 15 minutes.” And then I was also nervous when I was handed a fork upfront. But the tonkatsu ramen was great. The broth was salty, creamy and thick. The noodles were chewy and good. Chasu was average in taste, but a good portion. The same employee was very sweet and let me take Halloween candy from a Halloween prop. It was a pleasant experience overall.

This little gem of a restaurant is my new favorite for Asian food in the entire country. They have the most delicious and AUTHENTIC Yakisoba I've had anywhere on planet earth outside of Okinawa. This was my favorite food 30 years ago...I practically lived on it for the time I was over there but it never got old. I've tried soba from a lot of places since then, but it always tastes "just ok" and didn't really push the nostalgia button. From the very first bite, my Yakisoba from Ajun Cajun was like going back in time. It tastes exactly like I remembered and is such a comfort food for me. Just writing this review makes me want to go back for more.

Tonkotsu ramen was just salty no depth of flavor, chashu the same way pretty overcooked. Chicken kaarage had hardly and seasoning and wasn't served with and kind of sauce. I didn't really see what the Cajun flair to the food was and very disappointed.

Stumbled upon this restaurant when we were looking for a place for takeout, and we're glad we chose it! We got their udon noodles and it was so good! They even packaged it in takeout bowl containers which not a lot of restaurants do for soup, so that was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend, and will definitely be going back for more.

The only bad thing about this place was that there weren’t more customers there when I visited. Friendliness/Service: 5 stars. Very hospitable. Patient. Attentive. Cleanliness/Atmosphere: 4.5 stars. From what I can see is it is a clean place. Fun atmosphere. Don’t let outside of building fool you. Seems there are even places outside to eat if you need to. Perhaps a COVID addition. Food: 4.5 stars. I ordered the spicy garlic edamame. Very good. Slight kick. I also ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen. I added some ingredients. Very good. I didn’t do spicy as I was told spicy is very spicy. Perhaps I will try spicy next time to see if it enhances the flavor. Broth wasn’t super rich at first but as it integrated with the other ingredients I noticed it became richer with each bite. Price: Place has a variety of menu options. Price for area about right. Price to portion seemed about right. Concept: I love the concept. It’s creative. An Asian Cajun fusion. Recommend and love supporting local businesses!
